Team Previews

AD RIBELLI
Manager: Tina Nile (36, EOT)
Stadium: Stadion Commemorata Beran (Rattford, 9,500)

AD Ribelli are a club set up by Sameban defectors and deserters and others who joined the moderate forces who led a coup against Emile Gartanzo’s supporters in the Beranist Crisis. They then felt the need to leave the country after the war and Eura’s victory, hence the name that translates as Rebels, with the added Sameban “AD” moniker. The club is located out in Rattford as this is where its founder took refuge, and its proximity to the border gives a sense of reassurance to this unusual brand of Expat. They’re quite a small team with a very basic stadium, but play with great enthusiasm and have done well to reach the Primary League.

AFC WHITTORIANS
Manager: Kelly Rose (38, EOT)
Stadium: Mansley Stadium (Port Falcon, 14,000)

The only major club from the remaining Whittorian Isles within the Territories, AFC Whittorians were originally set up by Whittorian refugees and Euran Marines. They have a small but modern and picturesque stadium overlooking a stunning island view (its name comes from a sponsorship deal with Euran aerospace giant Mansley), which makes for perhaps the most anticipated away day in the league for other teams; though it does also mean shaky short haul flights to the islands. Kelly Rose is a very talented young manager who has got this side into the Primary League again playing attractive, free flowing football.

AUTO SINCLAIR
Manager: Craig Sinclair (50, Eura)
Stadium: Portside (Bakermouth, 18,200)

Originally a Tertiary League club, Auto Sinclair have risen quickly to the top flight and look set to stay there on current form. Originally a business venture led by Euran World Cup winning legend Craig Sinclair, in partnership with a local independent car factory, the club are managed by Sinclair but also owned by him, the factory owners and his two brothers, themselves successful businessmen. The club have a newly built stadium next to Bakermouth’s rapidly growing docklands district, and a fine reputation already for sourcing local talent.

BAKERMOUTH
Manager: Zoe Montgomery (50, Baker Park)
Stadium: New Frontier Stadium (Bakermouth, 60,000)

A new club, Bakermouth are the main club of the eponymous city, the biggest “new city” in the Territories founded by the new regime and growing quickly to a population of one million on the east coast. For the purpose of nation building a hugely impressive new 60,000 seater stadium was built, complete with all the latest facilities and technology, and a giant single tier stand behind one of the goals. They play in a striking red kit similar to Directus, however the real inspiration comes from Lord Baker (where “Bakermouth” comes from), a historic Euran national hero commonly associated with the red and gold colour scheme sometimes used by Euran sporting institutions, most notably the national football team.

BLADES EX MAGNAEUS
Manager: Otis Henry (47, EOT)
Stadium: The Bird Cage (Magnaeus, 54,750)

When the Eurans arrived in Magnaeus it was a city in desolate chaos, having fallen into disrepair under the light touch governance of Runtenbach and the Sunrisians. Surprisingly little thought was given to saving the famous Blades. Then came along Mary Hadlee, a Euran billionaire steel magnate and massive football fan who saw an opportunity to reanimate a classic Mertagne club with her own money. She got started quickly pulling together this phoenix club and rebuilding their iconic Bird Cage stadium and its innovative arching metal bar roof supports, with a slightly lower capacity than previously. Otis Henry manages the side – possibly the best young Expat manager – and they have a strong, experienced team with multiple EOT internationals and overseas players.

BURGESS FC
Manager: Miles Lowe (55, EOT)
Stadium: Sunrise Park (Burgess, 45,000)

Burgess are another revived club, one of the “Big Three” of the old Mertagne/Calanian Union clubs that remain in any shape or form. Their heavy Sunrisian influence is obvious with their early commitment to a Sunrisian inspired exciting style of play (their stadium is coincidentally called Sunrise Park), but there’s also the hallmarks of Euran football present with an increased pitch size for possession play being a hallmark of Sunrise Park’s redevelopment. The originally Kytlerian-designed stadium has a lower capacity than previously due to damage sustained during the Collapse, lower by 7,000 seats. However, it retains its relative charm for a modern stadium, and a gorgeous view of the Calanian coast over the top of the low and uncovered East Stand.

CRATER TOWN
Manager: Albin Oslograd (51, Eura)
Stadium: The Overlook (Crater, 8,600)

Crater Town is a new club serving the sprawling junktown of Crater at the edge of the rim of the Great Fligsive Crater (now filled in by the sea). It’s one of the most iconic grounds in the country already and very unique; it’s very small, is all-standing, features a strangely unpredictable pitch and even weirder weather due to unexplained consequences of the “Fligsive Event”, with the stadium sometimes subject to baking sun and spine-chilling rainstorms on the same day. Former Euran international and lesser known Oslograd brother Albin Oslograd is the manager and has done a good job of keeping this side in the Primary League so far on minimal resources.

EXPATS ENDEAVOUR
Manager: Robbie Faulkner (50, Eura)
Stadium: Tregajorran Arena (Fligsive, 18,000)

One of the first new clubs created in the Territories after the Collapse, this Apoxian diaspora team have been here since the genesis of the EOFL. They play at Tregajorran Arena, named after the Apoxian footballing great, who went on to become the first Euran Oceania Territories national team manager. The club has become something of a destination for ageing Apoxian players looking to extend their career and was carried out of the Secondary League by players like Lucan Palmisano, Willem Ajax and most lately Imriel Townsend. All of them are playing below their level even for their age, but despite their moderated pay demands, these few star players consume most of the team’s budget. The Apoxian connection continues with the manager Robbie Faulkner, a former Euran international who spent most of his career playing club football in Apox.

FLIGSIVE FC
Manager: John Greaves (69, Eura)
Stadium: Flynn Arena (Fligsive, 96,500)

Formerly one of the biggest clubs in old Mertagne, Fligsive FC are by far the biggest club in EOT. Thanks to the Euran government funded rebuild of the iconic Flynn Arena (and Euran investment in the city in general), the club was able to survive the period of the newly formed and growing Territories having no professional league. They claim a lot of the heritage of the original Fligsive FC, including the same stadium, same kit, and a strikingly similar badge with a small Euran flourish to it. But the Flynn Arena now has blue and gold seats as opposed to its old green and black design, so some things have changed. The side dominated the early years of the EOFL, winning the Primary League title in four of six seasons. They sport a mix of young talent such as Henry Jenkins and highly paid veterans who are simply too good for this league – among them Brae Crowther, captain Peter Chadwick, Morgan Fox and Tom Duffy.

HYFORD CITY
Manager: Huw Hussain (37, EOT)
Stadium: Hyford City Stadium (Hyford, 41,000)

The old southern Mertagne city of Hyford was massively demographically shifted by the Collapse and is now a remarkable melting pot of cultures, and with that the city has seen the arrival of a cosmopolitan new club that is not particularly Euran, Mertagne, or anything else for that matter. They play at the Hyford City Stadium, one of the gems of Mertagne football pre-Collapse, revamped and refurbished with a slightly reduced capacity and coloured bright orange just as it originally was – even the retractable roof is working again.

JUDGETOWN
Manager: Megan Matthews (41, EOT)
Stadium: The New Ground (Judgetown, 30,000)

A new club formed for the benefit of Judgetown, a Euran “New City” named after the wartime Prime Minister Michael Judge. The city is near the site of the old Mertagne city of Milenol, and is slowly enveloping what is left of it. The new club needed a stadium, so the government built the unimaginatively named “The New Ground” (ripe for sponsorship rights, of course) and handed it over to the new club. To their surprise the club gained a following much quicker than expected and has been able to expand their stadium from its original 25,000 capacity to accompany 30,000 fans. It’s a regular sell out, and with a decent team on the pitch boasting some ex-Euraleague players, more than a match for its opponents in the Primary League. In time it could become one of the bigger clubs. However, Ewan Maher was dismissed after the club narrowly avoided relegation last season, and has been replaced by former Hyford City boss Megan Matthews.

KT ITSASONTZIAK
Manager: Bart Jones (42, EOT)
Stadium: The Ways (Burgess, 11,059)

Managed by original Euran Oceania Territories international Bart Jones, this originally Audioslavian expat team is based on north east coast, and their name translates as “shipbuilders” – perhaps unsurprising given the stadium is right on the edge of the shipyards east of Burgess. The supporter base is very working class and its core a tight knit community of shipbuilders from all around the multiverse that have come to the Territories. Fans are not just spectators here; the Supporters Trust owns 60% of the club’s shares. This gives the club a rare claim to be a genuine team for the people, even if it means they aren’t the richest side around. As one might expect given their heritage, Itsasontziak and the other “KT” teams in the Territories have a significant Audioslavian contingent in their squad.

MAGNAEUS CITY
Manager: Aiden Dalton (63, EOT)
Stadium: East Park Avenue (Magnaeus, 19,000)

“Blades’ little brother” have done extremely well to go from third tier to first tier in a few seasons, especially given how competitive the second and third tiers have been so far. City have a bit of money and have assembled a tidy team with some experienced overseas players among their number, which should give them a decent chance of becoming a regular Primary League side. The club is technically an old Mertagne side, but is virtually unrecognisable from the original club, including its brand-new stadium built alongside a large urban park.

NEW BASTION
Manager: Rhys West (47, Mertagne)
Stadium: Pooltree Memorial Stadium (New Bastion, 35,000)

New Bastion is another “new city” and one with less ambition than Bakermouth. It was set up with nakedly political intentions as you can guess from the name of the city, headquartering the Territorial Administration during the reconstruction of Fligsive. It was decided with the future in mind that a football team should be set up with a standard mid-sized modern stadium, which is how New Bastion FC were born. Their kit and stadium colour scheme are white and black, a subtle inversion of the famous Bastion from who they take their name. They are managed by one of the first coaches of the Expat national team, Rhys West, and boast a strong squad.

NOSTROMO
Manager: Gavin Chamberlain (44, Mertagne)
Stadium: Point Impact (Nostromo, 42,000)

Much like Crater Town, Nostromo were born in the remnants of a great crater-spawning cataclysm, just of a very different and historic variety. Based out to the west inside the Webster Crater, Nostromo were formed out of the still burning embers of an old, dying club from Mertagne, Nostromo Meteorites. Nostromo is technically a new entity but in spirit is a continuity club, and as a tribute to its origins, goes by the nickname “Meteors” and sports a blazing rock as its logo. They play on an absolute dustbowl of a pitch inside a big but crumbling home, the old Point Impact stadium. Facilities are rudimentary at best but that doesn’t stop the team attracting a raucous crowd to their near-derelict stadium. Nostromo used to be one of the biggest five cities in Mertagne but is a shadow of its former self, and the same could be said of this team. However, that only makes them all the more eager to return to their former glories under the tutelage of Gavin Chamberlain.

OSLOGRAD ACADEMY
Manager: Lucas Kukiseso (42, Zwangzug)
Stadium: 66 Park (Fligsive, 20,000)

One of these clubs is not like the others. Possibly the biggest impact Skorji Oslograd has had on football in the Territories, aside from massively boosting its profile at home and abroad, is his leading role in constructing a major national academy inspired by overseas projects like the Sunrisian Project 90+ and the Apoxian Centre for Excellence. What is possibly unique about the Skorji Oslograd National Footballing Academy (SONFA) is that it will run as an actual football club as well as a pool for national youth talent to develop. Playing under the name Oslograd Academy at the newly constructed 66 Park (named after the iconic World Cup final Oslograd played in), they feature a uniquely young squad due to a self-enforced limit of three players above age 23, and are likely to be a hot destination for loanees from leagues around the world. Manager Lucas Kukiseso enjoyed a remarkable first two seasons in charge, taking the Academy to consecutive league titles – the first team other than Fligsive FC to top the Primary League.

Sanford PREMIER League — Season Two International Qualifiers

My sincere apologies for much less RP this season than I had intended; I spent the summer creating a new visual identity for the league, and the beginning of my fall semester has been even busier than normal, so I have had no time to write RPs. The RPs that were included in this submission were written almost entirely during the summer.

Another reason I waited so long to publish results was the fact that I was unable to use either xkoranate or NSFS on my computer. Fortunately, Mriin kindly offered to help and scorinated the entire season of the Sanford PREMIER League. I couldn't have done it without them. Thanks also to Osarius, whose single-match scorinator I used for the Sanford PREMIER Cup and the PREMIER BankCard Trophy.

I hope you enjoy what I do have, and I hope I'm able to RP more for Season Three! Now, without further ado:

Season One — Awards. Season Two — Summer. Fall. Spring. Finale.

A largely rural, very sparsely-populated inland nation far from the ocean with strong winds, harsh winters, and more cows than people.

In other words, paradise.

**First Season in Stellar Division

SEASON REPORT:
The first ever Stellar Division fixture for Sokattack Mliona would be an the road against Colonial Sile at Colonial Field. Anticipating the addition of a new cross-town rival, however, Mliona-Lpaka AFC would stock up on the transfer market signing a pair of up-and coming Vilitan players including Defender Narri Sebapilo from relegated Makosile United and former Marine Coast United trainee Tyoasi Klipark - both players who were part of Vilita & Turori's Under-21 World Cup Championship Team. Mliona-Lpaka wouldn't stop there, however, also adding former Cosumarite midfielder Kai-Kai Mokumdarian from Jungle Strike FC who had been replaced by the rise of Folgore Alaminos.

Sokattack Mliona's first ever Stellar Division match would go down as a good one, a second half goal from Ko-orenite Kaoru Misaki would cancel out Ross Renshaw's first half goal for Colonial Sile as the match would end in a 1-1 draw. Taking a point on the road in their first ever Stellar Division fixture was already reason for celebration in Mliona but was made all the more impressive in the fact that just one Away team was able to claim victory on the opening day of the campaign - Jaguar Moreda. The Jaguars were winners of the days most exciting matchup which would take place against the other team in Mliona - Mliona-Lpaka AFC. It was a back and forth matchup but the fresh signings for Mliona-Lpaka couldn't keep up in their first match together. Although Kai-Kai Mokumdarian had a dream debut for the Turorian club opening the scoring inside five minutes, Jaguar Moreda would fight back at Iobabao Legendary Park to take a 2-1 lead then a 3-2 lead late in the game which they would hold on to for the victory. Defending Champions Eastal Lunar were among 5 home teams that claimed shutout victories on the first day of competition putting the Astronauts right back to the top of the table.

Jaguar Moreda would keep up their strong start with victories over Colonial Sile and Lonngeylin Coast on Matchdays 2 and 3 to put themselves in elite company as one of just three teams who had won each of their first three matches of the season. The other two were the defending Champion Eastal Lunar and the all-time winningest club in the Vilitan League, Jungle Strike FC.

The stalemate at the top would be broken on Matchday 4 as Jungle Strike FC travelled to Lunar Park to face off with the defending champions and table-leading Eastal Lunar. The match was a low scoring affair with the senior Zelkki Milake in net for hte Astronauts and Banija's Wanda Kouyate between the sticks for Strike FC. The only goal of the game came off a free kick just after the half-hour point in the match when Eivind Strømmen delivered the direct free kick expertly passed Milake for what proved to be the difference making moment in the game. With the 1-0 victory Strike FC gained sole possession of first place in the table after Jaguar Moreda were held on the day 0-0 at the Turoki Tide.

The Champs would surprisingly drop their second in a row on the road to Tivali City as the Vilitan League's original Orange and Blue secured a crucial three points in their quest to remain in the Top Tier after finishing runner up in the Declasse one season prior. It would be the start of a slip for the Astronauts who, after Strike FC defeated Tivali City 1-0 on Matchday 6, would find an eight point gap between the perfect leaders from Lonngeylin adn the defending Champions in a tie for third with Marine Coast United, Jaguar Moreda and Lonngeylin Coast. The Yeaddin Owls secured a 2-0 victory over Sokattack Mliona thanks to goals from Daliora Toru'u and Tukaara Milanzi to move clear into second place while Sokattack were one of just two teams that were still searching for their first victory of the campaign.

Eastal Lunar would be gifted three points at the Lirai Asku Castle while putting a dent in the Owls title chase when Mako Canopii was sent off just five minutes from full time. Lunar Shadow converted the resulting spot kick to give Eastal Lunar a 2-1 victory and allow the Astronauts to leap back in front of the Owls as the lead in the chase to catch Strike FC at the top. It would prove to be even more important as Strike would drop their first points of the season in a goalless draw with Marine Coast United.

The first ever Mliona-derby in the Stellar Division would have a result that few would have been surprised to see. Mliona-Lpaka ran out 3-0 victors thanks to a Kai-Kai Mokumdarian hat trick and a shutout from Vanorian Prisc Corrales to take the honors at the Iobabao Legendary Park with two of Mokumdarian's three goals coming from the penalty spot. The derby victory seemed to inspire Mliona-Lpaka who had been off to a slow start to the season but would hold the leaders Jungle Strike FC to a 0-0 draw at home on the following matchday to help build some space between themselves and the relegation zone.

While Jungle Strike FC dropped points for just the second time on the season there was no one to take advantage of the slip up as Jaguar Moreda and Eastal Lunar played out a 2-2 draw at Canopy Gate. While the Jaguars had proven they could compete in the upper half of the table their dreams of competing for the title started to shrivel away when they were defeated by the leaders at the Lonngeylin Coliseum on Matchday 10. Turorian World Cup Champion Nua'oma Aikiki got the only goal of the match as Strike maintained a 7 point lead over cross-town rivals Lonngeylin Coast who defeated defending champion Eastal Lunar at Lunar Park.

It would set up a top of the table rivalry clash at the Lighthouse with Lonngeylin Coast having the opportunity to shake up the table if they could claim victory over their rivals at home. However, as had each of Strike's prior dropped points of the season, it was a goalless draw as the Venom remained unbeaten and maintained their 7 point lead in the table.

Jungle Strike FC appeared well on their way to finishing the first half of the season unbeaten and without conceding a single goal. That was, until they traveled to the Sissil Bank Stadium for the final game of the first half of the season and took their first defeat of the campaign. Ramms captain Kuidii Davasarii got the only goal of the match which allowed the field to close slightly on the leaders. Lonngeylin Coast could only close one point after being held by Marine Coast United but Cednia Beach AFC got a massive 4-0 victory over struggling bottom side Sokattack Mliona to close within five points of the leaders as they search for their first title in 15 seasons.

Outside of the relegation zone there were no clear lines of demarcation as many considered the Vilitan League to be as evenly competitive as it had been in recent memory with as many as one third of all matches ending in a draw. Sokattack Mliona were still searching for their first Stellar Division victory and had a larger negative goal differential than any other single team had conceded. While the Sokattack were favored for the drop, the second team to join them was still well up in the air as major sides Tropicorp FC, Colonial Sile, Mliona-Lpaka and the Yeaddin Owls were all in the danger zone. Jungle Strike FC's Nua'oma Aikiki and Mliona-Lpaka's Kai-Kai Mokumdarian found themselves atop the goal scoring charts with five goals a piece through the first half of the season while the Turoki Tide's new Vanorian youngster Florian Beike impressed with five Star of the Match performances to lead all players through 13 games.

. .

After winning their first major trophy in the Vilitan Cup one season prior, hopes were high for Tropicorp FC coming into Vilitan League Season 66. When the second half of play resumed, however, Tropicorp were sitting in the relegation zone due to an inferior goals scored record when compared with Colonial Sile FC who also had just twelve points from thirteen games. In their quest to make ground to secure their place in the Stellar Division for another season, Tropicorp FC would have to start out the second half against League Leaders Jungle Strike FC. The Techies caught a lucky break when a lapse in judgment from Vernasa Sanamun saw the Vilita National Team goalkeeper sent to the locker room less than five minutes into the match after a physical confrontation with Jack Nilevian after an early corner kick for Tropicorp FC. Sanamun was replaced by the arguably more skilled Wanda Kouyate but with Strike FC down to just 10 players on the field it made the job all the more easy for the Techies to secure a point in the goalless draw.

More importantly, Strike's dropped points allowed Lonngeylin Coast to close to within just 2 points of the lead after a 2-1 victory over the Yeaddin Owls at the Lighthouse. While Strike FC maintained a six point advantage over third place side Cednia Beach AFC, Cednia Beach AFC themselves were just 8 points ahead of the relegation zone as the middle of the table was hotly contested from top to bottom.

With Sanamun out of play due to suspension, Jungle Strike FC hosted third place side Cednia Beach AFC on Matchday 15. The moment perhaps of the season came on the hour mark when Wanda Kouyate clipped the feet of Turakkia Diijelhma inside the penalty area. Kouyate would see red for the foul and Strike would have no experienced goalkeeper on the bench to step in after having allowed Striitca Virahat to return to Alikki-Corra AFC for regular first team action. Strike would lose the match 2-0 - tripling their total goals conceded on the season in just one match and would now face the prospect of playing bottom side Sokattack Mliona without either of their starting goalkeepers available for them.

Despite being down two goalkeepers and being on foreign soil, Jungle Strike FC would narrowly prevail thanks to the skill of goalscorer Nua'oma Aikiki who had the lone goal of the match to maintain Strike's three point lead atop the Stellar Division Table. The Venom would host defending Champions Eastal Lunar on Matchday 17 with Zelkki Milake Jr. taking the gloves from their father in the critical match with the Astronauts looking to maintain their slim hopes of climbing back into the title fight. The Venom would concede for the second straight game but hold on for a 1-1 draw that also allowed Strike to maintain their position atop the table.

With the table behind them so close few saw the rise of Marine Coast United coming but the Tridents had just one defeat on the season and had stretched a run of four consecutive victories including a 1-0 triumph over Cednia Beach AFC to move just one point back of their former Rivals in the Stellar Division Title hunt.

The results of Matchday 18 of the Stellar Division season brought two major surprises that would have seemed impossible at the same point in the first half of the season. First up was Ramsissil's 5-1 thrashing of Jaguar Moreda and the Jaguar's subsequent dropping into the Relegation Zone. While the Stellar Division was well on its way to relegating a side with the most ever points for a team to go down that didn't change the fact that Jaguar Moreda were atop the table at the start of the season and were now sitting 13th with just 6 games to play. Of course, with how close the table was from top to bottom they were also just 6 points out of an IFCF Champions League position but the surprise was still prevalent. However, the bigger surprise was at the very top. With a 1-0 victory over bottom side Sokattack Mliona, Marine Coast United had snuck up on the leaders and taken the top spot after Jungle Strike FC were held to yet another goalless draw.

Sokattack Mliona's ticket back to the Declasse was punched cruelly during their first ever home derby match against cross-town neighbors Mliona-Lpaka AFC. Mliona-Lpaka's 1-0 victory marked 20 games in the Stellar Division without a win for Sokattack and mathematical relegation. However, it wasn't the most watched match of the day as leaders Marine Coast United travelled to the Lonngeylin Coliseum to take on Jungle Strike FC with a chance to stretch their lead to 4 points. Instead, however, it was the Venom who muscled out yet another 1-0 victory as they re-took the top spot with a two point gap over Marine Coast United and Lonngeylin Coast in joint second position with six games to play.

Just as quickly as they had taken the lead, however, the Venom conceded a pair of goals to Daliora Toru'u, Robert Reeder and the Yeaddin Owls while Lonngeylin Coast managed a 2-0 victory over Cednia Beach AFC to take their turn at the top of the table one point clear of the Venom. The three leaders all recorded 1-0 victories on Matchday 22 to set up a tight in sprint to the finish with defending champions Eastal Lunar waiting close behind in 4th.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 22:
::STANDINGS WITH 4 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [42] - Lonngeylin Coast
2 :: [42] - Jungle Strike FC
3 :: [40] - Marine Coast
4 :: [36] - Eastal Lunar
5 :: [32] - Cednia Beach

The incredibly tight battle at the top was made even tighter by the fact the teams shared an identical goal differential - not to mention being from the same city. On Matchday 23 Jungle Strike FC would pull out to a +2 Goal Differential lead in the table by virtue of a 3-0 victory over Jaguar Moreda while Lonngeylin Coast in a much more difficult matchup only managed a 1-0 defeat of defending champions Eastal Lunar who were all but eliminated from Title contention with the result.

The big match would come with three games to play as all of Lonngeylin shut down for the Top of the Table clash between its two teams, Jungle Strike FC and Lonngeylin Coast. Played at the Lonngeylin Coliseum, the largest venue in Vilita, the match would post one of the highest attendances in Vilitan League history. It appeared to be headed into the half time break as another goalless stalemate for the Venom until veteran Vilitan midfielder Cywrenta Vlintejni broke the deadlock after a great move and shot to fire past Lís Âllásí. Lonngeylin Coast looked dangerous in the second half with some quality chances for Elias Hammer but Bastet North put an end to the speculation with a goal in the 64th minute that got the crowd chanting about the Venom's impending title. Of course, even with victory over the fishermen it was far from over as Strike's lead was just 3 points and +4 Goals Differential with two difficult matches to play against the Turoki Tide and Rammsissil.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 24:
::STANDINGS WITH 2 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [48] - Jungle Strike FC
2 :: [45] - Lonngeylin Coast
3 :: [43] - Marine Coast
4 :: [37] - Eastal Lunar
5 :: [36] - Cednia Beach

Just when it seemed that Strike FC had done enough to secure the title, the Venom travelled to the Turoki Community Complex and lost a 1-0 match to The Turoki Tide letting Lonngeylin Coast right back into the thick of the Title battle. For the second time on the season Vernasa Sanamun was sent off less than five minutes into the game and had to be replaced by Wanda Kouayte who could do nothing to stop the ensuing Kajsa Kupper penalty kick. The Tide would hold on for the remaining 85 minutes as David N'kude protected the shutout and Florian Beike controlled possession in the center of the field. Lonngeylin Coast did just enough to take advantage with a 1-0 victory over Tivali City though would still enter the final matchday at a deficit of four goals differential to the leaders.

At the other end of the table, Colonial Sile seemed at risk of seeing the end of a 35 season run in the Stellar Division sitting on 27 points Colonial Sile would need a victory on the final matchday along with a defeat for Tivali City against the Turoki Tide in order to avoid the drop. Regardless of which of the two teams would ultimately be relegated to the Declasse, they would be doing so with the largest point total of any relegated team in Stellar Division history as Colonial Sile would enter the final matchday on 27 points matching the mark previously set by the Kionao Locals for most points by a relegated team. Three other records could also be set when Sokattack Mliona host Cednia Beach on the final match as the Sokattack try to avoid being the team with the fewest goals scored, fewest points and most consecutive defeats in Stellar Division history - all of which would be confirmed with a shutout defeat to the Coconuts on the final matchday.

Lonngeylin Coast would take their title hopes down to Marine World Park in Crosaibi while Strike FC would just have to match their cross-town rivals result in order to secure the title. In perhaps a fitting way to end the campaign, Jungle Strike FC were held goalless by Rammsissil but it was enough to secure the title when Lonngeylin Coast could not find a way to score against third place side Marine Coast United. Marine Coast then got a boost from Fishtii Bliklala who scored the game winner that ultimately made little difference as the Tridents still finished the season in third place.

Eastal Lunar were upended late by Tropicorp FC and slipped to fifth in the final table just behind Cednia Beach AFC who managed to close out Sokattack Mliona's winless Stellar Division Campaign handing the club its 14th consecutive league defeat.

There was some final day excitement, however, and it came from Colonial Field in Sile where goals from Kiirdallen Aeroluzzi and Kara Oveni saved the season for Colonial Sile and sent Tivali City to the drop as the first team ever to accrue 30 points in the Stellar Division and still suffer relegation at seasons end.

The twenty goals scored across 26 matches was the fewest ever by a Stellar Division champion and the 7 goals conceded bested the previous mark of 9 goals conceded set by Turoki United during Vilitan League Season 42. From top to bottom the 66th Vilitan League Season would go down as the lowest scoring in Stellar Division history.

After dropping down from the Stellar Division, Makosile United once again had it all to do but would have to do it without some of their players who would seek greener pastures by sticking around in the Stellar Division. Those players that remained would have a tough task on the opening day of the season as the Makos hosted Inland Peaks at Track Venture Field in Sile. The Makos would survive to kick the season off right with a 1-0 victory to join fellow relegated side Kionao Locals joint top of the table on opening day.

The Makos would pick up a key road victory over Turoki Isle at the Turoki National Stadium on Matchday 2 of competition but their victory would be overshadowed by the stunning performance of Yutzie Sorma who picked up five goals in a home thrashing of Lonngeylin City who were using a backup netminder on the day. The Yutzies would keep their hot streak rolling with a 2-0 victory over Inland Peaks on Matchday 3 and a 4-1 stomping of Turoki Isle on Matchday 4 to climb into the Top 2 as their fans began to wonder if the Vilisorma based club could potentially make a push for a return to the Stellar Division for the first time in over 50 seasons.

Just as quickly as the streak had started, however, it seemed to be over for the Yutzies who dropped a 4-1 defeat of their own to Cedniavella on Matchday 5. Makosile United on the other hand had begun to establish their form and a game winner from the penalty spot for Okonkwo Okparro in a top of the table clash allowed the Makos to leapfrog a strong Jlinal Cove side that had Phillip Lozic sent off for a two-footed challenge inside the box that led to the Makosile goal.

Yet the Yutzies were resiliant and would bounce back with four victories over their next five matches against Sporta Eelandii, Jlinal Cove, Kiiarana and FC Almintora to move atop the Declasse table two points clear of Makosile United and Jlinal Cove in the promotion places battle. The Yutzies were the top scoring team in the league by a clear amount while Makosile United - having the best defensive record, were struggling to win games despite being the only remaining unbeaten team in the Declasse.

Makosile would lose their first game on Matchday 11 and do so in a big way against Lonngeylin City who smashed four past Maratopa Inita-Arua and saw the Makos slip quickly down to a tie for 4th in the standings 4 points out of the promotion spots. The Makos would travel to Vilisorma to close out the first half of the Declasse season with a chance to close the gap and climb back into the promotion places. Instead, it was the home side who claimed victory at the Malaveisa Stadium as Yutzie Sorma would close out the first half with a 2-0 victory to maintain a one point lead over Inland Peaks FC and remain 4 points clear in the promotion battle over Cedniavella Turori.

When play resume for the second half of the season it was more of the same from Yutzie Sorma who traveled to Lonngeylin Park and took care of business with a 6-2 thrashing of Lonngeylin City to set the tone for the second half of the season. However, the field wasn't about to let the Yutzies set sail and Inland Peaks FC finally put a stop to the bleeding on Matchday 15 with a 3-2 victory at the National View Stadium to reign in the leaders. The result put Yutzie Sorma and Inland Peaks level on 35 points though there was still a blanket over the Top 4 teams with just 2 points separating the leaders from fourth placed Jlinal Cove FC.

The tight table meant any match between the top four would result in a major shakeup in the order and thats just what happend on Matchday 18 when Cedniavella Turori took down the Yutzies 1-0 at Cednia Park and displaced the Vilitan side at the top of the Declasse Table.

All four leaders kept up at a torrent pace maintaining the approximate 10 point gap between themselves and the rest of the field and ensuring that the title would be decided between Yutzie Sorma, Inland Peaks, Jlinal Cove and Cedniavella. With four games to play, each team was still in top form with all four recording large lopsided victories including the Yutzies 4-0 triumph over FC Almintora. The Vilisorma based club had a slight advantage of two points over the other three clubs who had identical 13-5-4 records after 22 matches.

The deadlock was eased a bit when Cedniavella hosted Jlinal Cove on Matchday 23 and defeated their promotion chasing rivals 4-1. With Yutzie Sorma and Inland Peaks keeping pace it put the Declasse's all-time winningest club in a hole with little time to recover. Yet the would find a way to stay in the hunt when both leaders dropped points on Matchday 24 allowing Jlinal Cove and Cedniavella to close back to within 3 points of the Top 2 and set up a grand-stand duel for the title.

The Top 4 would all claim victory on the penultimate matchday with Inland Peaks critically securing a 5-1 victory over Arcticala Inlet which not only improved the Peaks goal differential in the event of defeat on the final matchday and a tiebreaker for the promotion places, but also served to put Arcticala Inlet in a precarious position inside the relegation zone with just one game to play and knowing they would have to defeat Turoki Isle on the final matchday in order to survive.

The final matchday would see two key fixtures as leaders Yutzie Sorma faced a potential bogey match against Makosile United while at the other end of the table, Arcticala Inlet would host Turoki Isle at the Arcticala Electrical Stadium knowing only one side could stay up - yet both could still go down in the event of a draw and a victory for Sporta Eelandii.

With a full crowd at the Arcticala Electrical Stadium, Arcticala Inlet would be staring at the possibility at an exit from the Vilitan League for the first time in the teams existence. With the odds stacked against them, however, the Electricians would come out firing on all circuits scoring twice in the opening fifteen minutes then holding on for the victory to maintain their Vilitan League status and send Turoki Isle back down to the Tropicorp Lower Leagues.

In the battle for promotion, the Yutzies would take an early lead at Track Venture Field but Makosile would fight back in the second half through Tamba Kama and Rainbow Blitz. While the Yutzies were still sitting positive on Goal Differential, they didn't want to leave it to chance getting two goals in the final fifteen minutes to claim all three points and their first Declasse Title in 60 seasons to earn a long-awaited return to the Stellar Division. The 61 Goals that the Yutzies scored through the course of the season would also set a new record for the league. Inland Peaks suffered a surprise defeat to Surf Jettica which allowed Jlinal Cove to pull even on 53 points but the Peaks would hold on to the second spot and promotion back to the Stellar Division through their own superior goals record.

Vilitan Cup Knockout Rounds:

Semi Finals (Two-Legs)
Colonial Sile [VSD] 1 - 1* Turoki Tide [VSD] *Colonial Sile Advance on Penalty Kicks
Yeaddin Owls [VSD] 2 - 1 Lonngeylin Coast [VSD]

The Vilitan Cup Final would provide two clubs in desperate need of a boost the opportunity to take home their first major silverware in anywhere between 10 and 40 cycles. For Colonial Sile, after narrowly escaping relegation on the Final Day of the Stellar Division Season, they would look for just their third Vilitan Cup trophy and first since season 54. For the Yeaddin Owls they were twice runner-up in the Vilitan Cup during the modern era in Seasons 57 and 58 but haven't lifted the trophy at all during the modern era and won their most recent silveware - The Vilitan Cup - during Vilitan Season Season 22.

A back-and-forth first half of play would see quality chances on both sides with Colonial Sile taking the lead 11 minutes in through Turorian World Cup winner Kala'a Yuliizala. The Owls would strike back however as Rojara Tiones would score in the 21st minute to level the scores back at 1-1. The sides would defend those scorelines into the half and come out refreshed for a final 45 minutes... or longer to determine which fanbase will go home happy and which disappointed for yet another season.

The second half of play would be a stalemate as both sides nervously searched for a winner but were resolved enough not to concede the chance that would cost them the game. The extra session would proceed much like the second half with only one quality chance which came in the final minute of the second half of extra time when Kala'a Yuliizala took a shot from long range that went wide of the net.

The penalty shootout got started with Yeaddin Owls and Turorian star Daliora Toru'u making no mistake from the spot. Colonial Sile's first shooter was Kiidallen Aeroluzzi but the Turorian put the shot over the bar to give the Owls the early advantage. Elektra Luthersdottir stepped up second for Yeaddin and gave the Owls a 2-0 lead with goalscorer Kala'a Yuliizala next to shoot for Colonial. In what could go down as one of the highlights of their domestic career, Mako Canopii got a hand on what was otherwise a well struck penalty from the Turorian, just pushing the shot off the post and away to preserve the Owls two stroke advantage.

With nerves coming into play the next two shooters for Yeaddin were unable to convery but of the next two Colonial shooters only Ross Renshaw scored giving the Owls a 2-1 lead heading into the final shooter of the first set. Long time Owls captain and Vilita National Team defender Mikki Mayelli would deliver the kick to give the Vilitan Cup to the Yeaddin Owls for the first time in generations and finally give back on the domestic side to the team that groomed much of the success of the Early 80's Vilitan National Team champions.

IFCF Champions Cup: Lonngeylin Coliseum, Lonngeylin, Vilita (115,500 Seated) - 141,000 Standing Room

Image
Home of the Vilitan Stellar Division champions, Jungle Strike FC, Lonngeylin Coliseum is the biggest sporting arena in the Vilitan Cove and was chosen exactly for this purpose. Not so much 'butts in seats' - because almost one-third of the estimated attendees would be standing on the Vilitan hillside, but the capacity to hold large volumes was just one of the perks to holding the match in Lonngeylin.

One of the oldest yet most expansive stadiums in Vilita, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which included being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals. Most notably, the seated sections of the Coliseum went through a complete overhaul between League Seasons 25-35 where sections were closed incrementally for upgrades. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation which enhances one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region.

Most famously, however, the Lonngeylin Coliseum was the venue for the World Cup 59 final that pitted The Babbage Islands against Aguazul. It was an epic championship final with the two sides fighting to a goalless draw after extra time before Aguazul triumphed in the shootout for their historic third consecutive World Cup title. The facilities at the Lonngeylin Coliseum had been upgraded over the year to handle the over-capacity crowd and extended match timeline. The venue was also selected for the Vilitan half of the "Battle of Turori" - when Vilita & Turori were drawn against each other during World Cup 64 Qualifying.

Typically, only the Jungle Strike FC or Vilita National Team 'home' fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand. The hosting of a neutral tournament event at the arena will allow visiting fans to experience 'home' accomodations for the first time.

The Lonngeylin Coliseum is a former UICA and Cygnus Cup host site, including the successful hosting of the 47th UICA Champions Cup Final.

IFCF Challengers Cup: Tropicorp Park, Tropicoast, Tropicorp (72,000)

History and Tenants :: Tropicorp Park is home to the Tropicorp Cup, the four team, 2 day grand-finale of the Tropicorp Lower League. The competition served as an outstanding warmup to test the hospitality available at Tropicorp Park, and was critical in the build up to the decision to allow the finals of the Eagle's Cup V competition to take place in Tropicorp, the first major international competition of any kind to be held in Tropicoast.

Tropicorp Park hosted the 54th AOCAF Final that saw Cosumar break through with a first ever regional title over Eshan. The stadium was also the final site for the AOCL XXIII contested between Mâ Âlâmëómë of Farfadillis and Blades ex Magnaeus of Mertagne with the Farf side being victorious on Penalty Kicks; and for AOCL XVII which saw Jungle Strike FC defeat Fligsive FC 3-0. The first ever Tropicorp Bowl was contested on the gridiron with Raynor University defeating the university of Iqaluit 27-14.

Tropicorp Park would finally host its first ever official UICA Competition during the 73rd and final cycle of UICA competition, hosting the Series 'B' Champions Cup Final that was won by FC Almintora on Penalty Kicks, as well as the UICA Youth Cup Final.

Tropicorp Park has evolved into a World Class facility with experimental fan experiences funded by the nearby Tropicorp Research & Development Group. The stadium is also the full-time home of Tropicorp FC, a club in the Vilitan Stellar Division.

Vilitan League
:: Season 66 ::

SUPPLEMENTAL SUMMARY

Image

Image Tropicorp FC - v. - Eastal Lunar Image
Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra, Vilita

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, the defending Vilitan Stellar Division Champions (Jungle Strike FC) faced off against the defending Vilitan Cup Champions (Eastal Lunar).

Starting in Season 57, Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy from a press box at the Tivali Ring Stadium with a suite of action cameras and video reviews to be used in competition to a degree never before seen. The move to the press box for the head referee was in part the chance to use the Tropical Trophy as a test bed for introducing technology to the game, and partially to spare Meteorik the embarrassment of not being able to keep pace with the players many years his younger. A pair of assistant referee's were still located pitch side. This method of officiating has continued at the Tropical Trophy as well as having been expanded to the Vilitan Cup and Tropicorp Cup competitions. In lieu of a whistle, a horn sounds over the PA system at the stadium when Meteorik needs to stop play while video screens and communication with the on-field assistants as required provide further details of the infraction and its result.

For the first time in six seasons, Jungle Strike FC would not be at the Tivali Ring Stadium to contest the Tropical Trophy and for the first time in over 10 seasons, no club from Lonngeylin would be participating in the match. The continuous Streak of ten consecutive seasons where either Jungle Strike FC or Lonngeylin Coast participated in the Tropical Trophy incredibly saw just one season - 58 - where both the Venom and the Fisherman were competing in the same Tropical Trophy event - a match that was won by Lonngeylin Coast for their lone Tropical Trophy title. Incredibly, by adding just one more team into the mi - the Turoki Tide, you would have to go not just ten seasons in history but 33 seasons into the archive before finding a Tropical Trophy matchup that did not contain either Jungle Strike FC, Lonngeylin Coast or the Turoki Tide. The teams that contested the Tropical Trophy during Season 29? Arcticala Inlet and Eastal Lunar.

Eastal Lunar would return for their second consecutive Tropical Trophy appearance and while they had lost the last Tropical Trophy they contested against a team from outside of Lonngeylin, they came into the match as defending champions and overwhelming favorites against a Tropicorp FC side that some considered fortunate to have lifted the Vilitan Cup during Cycle 65. Tropicorp's success during the 65th Vilitan Cup was largely a product of the outstanding play of Baker Park midfielder Christa Vukovic who earned player of the tournament honors. However many consider Tropicorp to be a team that is built more for short duration Cup bursts rather than the full season haul - particularly as some of the teams depth players still work regular jobs for Tropicorp itself.

While the big names were all in force for Tropicorp FC as well as debutant players such as Squornshelan Thorgnyr Bondarov, in the end the quality of the Eastal Lunar side possessing no fewer than seven full international players in its starting lineup was too much for the Techies. A pair of first half goals from Samothias Odwyk and Vilitan National star Limu Katarahkna would put the match out of reach and Zelkki Milake would hold the fort down from there not allowing Tropicorp to get on the scoreboard in their maiden Tropical Trophy Appearance.

Statwise:
:: This is Eastal Lunar's 4th Tropical Trophy Victory in their 8th appearance
:: This is Tropicorp FC's 1st Tropical Trophy Defeat in their debut appearance
:: This is the 1st Tropical Trophy contested between Eastal Lunar (1) and Tropicorp FC (0)
:: This is the 11th Tropical Trophy that ended in a 2-0 scoreline

Tropical Trophy Host Site:

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy match up. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

The Cocoa-bo Fair Play Table rewards the teams with the best record throughout the season of minimal play disruption through Red and Yellow Cards. Teams earn 1 point per yellow card received throughout the season in both the Vilitan League: Stellar Division and the Vilitan League: Declasse Division; and 3 points per Red Card received. Matches in Cup Competitions, one of matches such as the Tropical Trophy or matches outside the Vilitan League system do not contribute to a teams total for a given season. Generally the team with the best performance in the fair play table that is not otherwise qualified for Internationstatal competition will be invited to the Vilitan Cove Invitational Tournament.

22nd Season :: SEASON 66

In a rare turn of events, both of the Tropicorp Lower League leaders from its 21st season returned to the league after being defeated in the Tropicorp Cup Semi-Finals. Both Kimoara Lika and Cednia Rovers would start the season favored to return to the Tropicorp Cup promotion players, only one would be victorious on the opening matchday of competition when Kimoara Lika were defeated 2-0 by Wunokalsa Waridi.

Cednia Rovers were keeping the pace well at the top however and took down fellow Turorian club Lpaka Indy by a 5-1 scoreline. Just five matches into the season there were just four unbeaten clubs left in the Tropicorp Lower League and three were from Turori (Wunokalsa Waridi, Inura Forests, Cednia Rovers). Just one team, however, had won all five of their matches and that was the only former Stellar Division champion side competing in the Tropicorp Lower League: Turoki United.

The "Silvers" as they used to be called in their Vilitan League days would extend their streak to seven games before finally taking their first dropped points in a top of the table clash with the Cednia Rovers on Matchday 8 of competition. The 2-2 draw at the Turoki Community Complex preserved the two clubs as the last remaining unbeaten sides in the league. That would be as far as the unbeaten train would run for Turoki United who would suffer their first defeat of the campaign on Matchday 9 on the road to Kikanla Toau. Due to their early season run, however, the Silvers were able to maintain their position atop the table in spite of a second consecutive defeat on Matchday 10 against Vilisorma. It would also be the day that the last unbeaten team suffered their first defeat as Cednia Rovers were undone by Kionao Koastal.

At the other end of the table, the uncertainty in the Cocoabo Forest particularly in the wake of the Foxchester Event had clearly left its mark on the Forest's Tropicorp Lower League Side which had won just 1 of their opening ten games and suffered an embarassing 5-0 defeat to the Inura Forests along the way. By the seasons halfway point, Cocoabo Forest had finally secured a second victory to pull themselves off the bottom of the table then earned a critical draw against fellow strugglers Mavaloiao to ensure they didn't dig themselves into an even bigger hole. At the top of the table the surprise story was coming out of VOIA Island as the Orbital Kickers found themselves atop the table two points clear of Turoki United as the first team to hit double digit victories. The Kickers, a part time club made up mostly of VOIA employees, have never earned promotion to the Vilitan League and who's only claim to fame was a 3-2 victory over fellow Lower League side Spear Cape in the first knockout round of the Vilitan Cup during Vilitan League Season 22.

The kickers were hitting the difficult portion of their schedule, however, and would win just one of their next four games with defeats to Kionao Koastal, Turoki United and Wunokalsa Waridi. While they had hit a brief dip in form, Turoki United were showing they were clearly the best put together side in the league and rebounded to climb back atop the league table with five games to play, opening up a 3 point advantage over second place side Kimoara Lika and 7 points clear of 5th place - a three way tie between Cednia Rovers, Morata Valley and Kikanla Toau.

The first certainty of the season would come at the other end of the table, however, as the Cocoabo Forest team could never find their form. With just 2 wins in 25 matches, the Forest found themselves 13 points wayward at the bottom with just four games to play, ensuring their relegation.

Turoki United and Kimoara Lika would both secure their place in the Tropicorp Cup playoff with two games to play though Turoki United were held by the Lopinka Rovers which allowed Kimoara LIka to pull level following their victory over Cittea. Cednia Rovers also clinched a spot in the Cup with a 4-1 victory over Julspora though they still sat two points behind the leaders. The fourth and final place in the Tropicorp Cup was held by Morata Valley but they were just 2 points clear of the Orbital Kickers while Lonngeylin United, Wunokalsa Waridi, Lopinka and Kikanla Toau all waited in the wings a further two points behind ready to pounce if Morata Valley faltered. Tivali United became the second team relegated - ironically suffering their fates at the hands of already relegated Cocoabo Forest who recorded just their third victory of the season.

Morata Valley were held by Kiiara-Torra on the penultimate matchday which allowed Lonngeylin United and Lopinka to catch up to join the Orbital Kickers at two points behind heading into the final matchday. Lopinka's victory came at the expense of Wunokalsa Waridi who would once again fail to make the leap back to the Declasse Division. In a stunning final matchday result, Morata Valley would be defeated by Rockii Coast and drop out of the top four while Lonngeylin United and the Orbital Kickers would each be victorious and finish level on 50 points. In heartbreak for the Kickers, however, Lonngeylin United would have the superior goal differential and claim the final spot in the Tropicorp Cup.

Turoki United 0–0 Lonngeylin United (2–0 AET)

Cednia Rovers 0–0 Kimoara Lika (1–0 AET)

With both of last seasons losing Tropicorp Cup teams squaring off in the Qualification Round, at least one team was assured to get rewarded for their persistance with promotion to the Vilitan League. That team would be Cednia Rovers who defeated Kimoara Lika in Extra Time to earn a return to the Declasse. It was a round where both matches were goalless in regular time and required an extra session with League Leaders Turoki United taking a pair of goals in the extra half hour to advance themselves.

Tropicorp Cup Final

Turoki United 0–2 Cednia Rovers

This is Cednia Rover's 2nd Tropicorp Cup Victory

Vilitan League Remind IFCF to its Long Standing Allocation Process

After rumors of potential sanctions being proposed against the Vilitan League due to the relegation of Sokattack Mliona and the reduced number of Turorian clubs in the Vilitan League's Stellar Division, the Vilitan League Association has issued a statement reminding the international community of its long standing procedure for Multi-association allocations to all IFCF competitions which was approved by prior to the 50th UICA Cycle and utilized ever since.

The Vilitan League Association notes that while operating independantly, Stellar and Déclassé teams are looked at on a more level playing field than perhaps other top level and second level teams in comparison, and the league maintain a season ending club ranking which classifies the Déclassé competitors in places 15-28 in the Season-End club rankings. The associations also feel that any such sanctions would be unjust upon the clubs of either Vilita or Turori on the basis of disriminating against the 14-team format used to determine the seasons champion in Vilita & Turori, while other association may have anywhere from 18-48 teams competing at once.

IFCF Champions League Allocations:
The highest place team from each association, Vilita /and/ Turori, will qualify, in addition to the X highest placed teams in the league standings not already qualified, with X being the remaining number of additional combined slots earned by both associations, currently 3.

IFCF Challengers Cup Allocations:
Each association qualifies its two highest-ranked teams in the final season rankings not already qualified for the IFCF Champions League, regardless of division, where Stellar Division clubs are ranked 1-14, and Déclassé clubs 15-28. Additionally, two allocations go to the farthest advancing teams in the Vilitan Cup, regardless of association, who have not otherwise qualified for a higher IFCF place. As a tie breaker (or if the highest finishing clubs are already qualified for the competition) final season ranking will be used.

IFCF Liga 'B' Cup Allocations:
The two highest placed clubs in the final Déclassé table will qualify regardless of association. If one or more of these clubs have already qualified for the IFCF Challengers Cup, then this spot will be occupied by the highest ranked team of that association not already qualified. The remaining places will be evenly distributed and allocated to the highest-ranked clubs (Starting from 15th) from each association in the end of season rankings. (For reference, the winning team in the Tropicorp Lower League achieves ranking 29 in the end-of-season rankings, and so on)

In practice, the long standing Multi-Association Allocations procedure followed by the Vilitan League Association ensures that in any given Vilitan League campaign, either Vilita or Turori could potentially advance either 2, 3 or 4 teams to the IFCF Challengers Cup completely independant of the number of clubs from a single association competing in the Stellar Division as Challengers Cup places are awarded based on a combination of overall National Club ranking and performance in the Vilitan Cup, for which all clubs from both Association - even those in the Tropicorp Lower League, are eligible. The Vilitan Football Association and the Football Association of Turori, unified in their representation of the Vilitan League, appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter. Should the long-standing procedure not be deemed appropriate for continued submission to the IFCF competitions, the Vilitan League Association would request a timeline for adaption to a new system, as non-acceptance of the established allocation protocols would require a major overhaul of the fundamental structure of the Vilitan League which could not be reasonably completed in a single offseason.

Vilitan League
:: Season 66 ::

RECOGNIZED PLAYER STATISTICS

Image
Image

The Vilitan Stellar Division's Recognized International Player Statistical reporting received a fundamental overhaul in celebration of the completion of play in the Vilitan League's 60th season. Historically, the Vilitan League have only reported out statistics of so-called "Recognized International" Players. These players include all foreign-born players who have joined the Vilitan League through the official player transfer process, generally players who are in the National Team Player pool of their home country. In addition, all players who are part of the Official Player Pool for the Vilitan National Team and the National Team of the Island Emirate of Turori otherwise known as the Turorian National Citizen Squad, are also included in end of season reporting. For the first time, the Vilitan Stellar Division will begin recognizing the season-long contribution of so called "Recognized Local Players". These are the other player on the roster of Stellar Division clubs who are not a part of their home countries National Team Player or Prospect Pool, most of which will have come up through the organizations youth squad and become part of the team culture. The Vilitan League system has a proud history of locally trained players and a 'team first' mantra. While Jungle Strike FC have in the past won the Vilitan Stellar Division without a single Vilitan National Team player in their Starting XI and have successfully demonstrated the ability to create a super team of international players to maintain a place atop the Stellar Division standings, other teams have put cohesiveness and long-term stability ahead of star talent. Most notably at the Turoki Community Complex, championship teams including Turoki United and the Turoki Tide have been hugely successful in the Vilitan League's Modern Era with only a handful of Recognized International players on their roster. While most local players in the Vilitan Stellar Division are highly skilled local players from the city of their home club, some may have foreign connections either through relatives or their own foreign birth which could deem them eligible to play for a foreign National Team. As this fully revamped edition of the new-and-improved Recognized International Player Statistical Report was newly created from scratch to coincide with the introduction of the IFCF, it is possible that there may be some minor errors. Any erroneous, outdated or objected data should be reported directly to the Vilita and Turori Association Football Federation (VATAFF).

Murphtannian Premier League season 6

Well after further cancellations and struggles to rebuild following the civil war, Murphtannia has finally been able to bring back the sport all Murphtannians love. It was an interesting season, as most foreign players left the MPL bringing balance back to the league and resulting in the old order coming back. Not only this but many stars of the MPL and the national team have retired, creating teams of mostly fresh faces. However we will start with the return of Villa as MPL champions.

Villa have had a brilliant season, clinching the MPL title for the 3rd time. Not only did they win the title, it was never in doubt for most of the season. Only losing to AFC Brentford all season, who will be happy they managed to deny Villa an invincible season at least. Villa’s outstanding season can partially be attributed to Murphy, now he was no longer managing both the NT and Villa, it seems he had plenty more time for domestic football which paid off, his extensive analysis of every opponent allowed his team to always be set up in the correct way to counter the other team. This was combined with breakout seasons for Bailey in goal and Steven Murphy on the other side of the pitch. Murphy finished as the Golden ball winner, having been the top scorer this season, and looked a lot like his Dad this season. Not only has this led to him being called up to the NT but he is now the regular starting ST for Villa. At only 19 it looks like Murphtannia have another promising ST on their hands. Travis Bailey however also had another outstanding season, firmly cementing himself as the Villa Number 1. While he may only be 3rd choice for the NT, he is still a talented keeper, and largely one of the reasons Villa had a good record defensively. Making diving saves, being brave in coming out of the box, his athleticism, reactions and reflexes have garnered national attention, and possibly international attention. You’d think however if any club was going to have a good chance of keeping Bailey it’d be the league winners. While they may have won the league, cup success hasn’t been forthcoming. Villa did manage to reach a league cup final but they lost on penalties to a team that would be relegated later that season. Even worse however in the FA cup Villa lost to FC William in the Round of 16, an upset that was loved by fans across the country. Still overall a very good season for Villa as they finally return to being one of the dominant sides in the MPL.

The main story however is the one of AFC Sheffield U. Until the breakdown of Murphtannian football, AFC Sheffield U looked to be a team on the rise, even managing to finish second in their 5th season of the MPL. However this season they have seen both upset victories that shocked the nation, and a relegation that snuffed out any potential the team might have had of winning an MPL title, and left Sheffield fans in tears. I suppose we should start with disappointment. Relegation. Had you asked a Sheffield U fan if this would happen only last season they wouldn’t even have considered it, but here we are. AFC Sheffield U will be playing in the Championship next season, and if they can’t get themselves promoted soon, it looks increasingly likely that they’ll be stuck there for quite some time. However there were things for Sheffield to celebrate. Mainly the League cup win, having won on penalties, against league winners Villa. Nobody gave them a chance going into that final, and yet they have come away with silverware. Most surprisingly is the fact that they went on to win a second trophy. The Murphtannian Shield. While the trophy itself may only have existed for a year, having been a new invention to decide who would enter the Cup winners cup, CWC is still a coveted prize for a Murphtannian team. Despite being in the Championship they will get to play internationally in the IFCF, something no other relegated team could’ve dreamed of happening. Not only this but it gave them hope for the future, having beaten Liverpool City, a team that dominated the Championship this season, they will be confident that they still have a much better team than anyone else in the Championship, and will probably be favourites to get promoted next season.

Finally is the story of AFC Brentford. The overwhelming favourites for the title, mainly due to the presence of Ivann Bardzavel. While 32 now, it was expected that his presence in defence would’ve given AFC Brentford the rock solid foundation with which to go on a title charge, most people were expecting a run not too dissimilar to the one Villa enjoyed. However disappointment struck as it always does in the MPL, 15 straight poor performances, 5 defeats to start the season. It was a collapse of form like nobody was expecting to the point where Bardzavel was dropped for the first half of the season and AFC Brentford looked lost without him in defence. Eventually he managed to get back into the Manager’s good books and was a regular for the second half of the season, finding his old form again, but it was too late. Despite only losing twice in the entire second half of the season they were never able to catch Villa or Walsall, and instead found themselves in 3rd place. While they will still get to play in the IFCF next season not even coming close to the MPL title will be a big disappointment, and potentially could see Brentford go on the hunt in the next transfer market for that next big player that can push them ahead of the rest of the other MPL teams.

But that is the end of MPL season 6, next season we’ll be seeing 2 fresh faces and one returning giant of Murphtannian football. AFC Newcastle, having been on the brink of relegation for so long have finally succumbed, finally not being able to find that last minute winner, or to scrape the extra win to get them over the edge. They will finally be going down. Meanwhile the Blackburn Happies won’t be so happy anymore, it was an awful season for them but after barely managing to get a starting 11 together most games, it’s no surprise they are going down. Perhaps they will be able to stabilise in the future. That’s all for now, we’ll be seeing you next season though, for what will hopefully be another exciting season of the Murphtannian Premier League, filled with the usual twists and turns, drama, jubilation and crushing defeat.

The Murphtannian Championship season 6

One word could be used to describe this season’s Murphtannian championship. Domination. It was a major shock to Murphtannia when Liverpool city got relegated, especially given that they had Jonathon Waterson on the books at the club. Widely considered the best player in the MPL at the time. It came as even more of a shock that he agreed to stay at Liverpool following said relegation. Maybe it was money, maybe he wanted to stat pad in the MCH but either way it was clear he was too good for this league, and his presence made Liverpool too good for this league.
Liverpool not only went unbeaten, but won every game this season. With a record 182 Goal difference and a record 138 points. It was a brilliant season for City fans as they ripped apart every team in front of them. Not only have they been able to collect a title win, win if it is just the championship, they also managed to win an FA cup. It was in the FA cup that they proved they were still an MPL level team, but it was still an upset when they managed to beat AFC Walsall on pens after an entertaining 3-3 draw. It was a brilliant season for the city. The only downside was that they lost in the Murphtannian Shield, however they still get to play in the Series B champions cup, and so all they missed out on is another trophy to add to a glorious season.

Liverpool weren’t the only team having a good season though, as St Destroyer, named after one of Murphtannia’s churches, became the first religious based side to be promoted into the MPL. After it became clear Liverpool city weren’t going to slow down, the season became more a battle for the final automatic promotion place and it’s a battle that went down to the final day. With FC William and St Destroyer playing each other on the final day. FC William actually went into that game second, and needed a win or draw to stay that way, but St Destroyer managed to grab a 2-0 win, only breaking the deadlock in the 70th minute before adding a second in the 91st. The promotion scenes were marvellous and reminded fans why they all love the sport of football, unless you were an FC William fan however, where you had to brace yourself for the potential pain of the playoffs.

And the playoffs didn’t disappoint. FC William were still the favourites going into the playoffs, but when they came up against Gary FC, a team called so because every player is named Gary, they fell to a 1-0 defeat away. That was ok, they still had the home game to get the 2 goals needed to progress to the final, however they were unable to break down Gary FC, who put 10 men behind the ball and held the 0-0 draw. It was heartbreak for FC William fans who went from automatic promotion on the final day to being knocked out in the playoffs. Meanwhile Scotch City used their home advantage to full effect as well, beating the Star Trek fan alliance 2-0. They fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Enterprise stadium, but they held on for the aggregate win.

Going into the final Scotch City were favourites, they’d already beaten Gary FC twice this season and they must’ve been confident they could do it a third time. But Gary FC pulled off the unexpected. Again putting 10 men behind the ball they set and held the ball for 60 minutes, allowing Scotch city to attack again and again and again, until they tired themselves out. Nonetheless Scotch city got the first goal, with Bob Dylan smashing a ball into the top right of the net from outside the box, forcing Gary FC to play. However Gary FC had planned on Scotch City being exhausted, and so spent the final 20 minutes pelting the Scotch goal with an endless amount of crosses. Resulting in 2 goals in the 83rd and 85th minute to turn the game on its head. Winning 2-1 and for the first time, being promoted to the MPL. Ending yet another Playoff final with drama, it remains to be seen however if Gary FC can compete in the MPL, and given commentators across Murphtannia headaches.
