1101 National Tynealan Handball League season

. National Tynealan Handball League Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Hilshore 36 30 2 4 1028 842 +186 62 C WCHC
2 Sayercooan Sasanachs 36 25 2 9 997 916 +81 52 WCHC
3 Penfro 36 24 0 12 988 920 +68 48 WCHC
4 Ballyfeeaknock Capitals 36 21 3 12 973 898 +75 45 WCHC

5 Porthmageed Celtic 36 21 2 13 981 944 +37 44
6 Dovershore 36 13 3 20 948 990 −42 29
7 Caernankry Clayminers 36 9 6 21 903 963 −60 24
8 Drayfill 36 9 3 24 940 1004 −64 21
9 Pwentshore 36 8 3 25 867 995 −128 19
10 Ballymairead Cobalt Bullets 36 7 2 27 869 1022 −153 16

Yet again Tyneala will send the same four sides to the World Club Handball Championship in what has to be one of the world's most consistent sports leagues. The entrenchment of not just the same top four but of Hilshore's place as perennial champions has reached the stage where bookmakers are refusing to even offer any odds on the NTHL. Porthmageed Celtic at least made the race for fourth competitive in finishing just a point behind Ballyfeeaknock Capitals, but them aside the rest of the league finished so far behind that they might as well be in a different league entirely. This season though does however seem to have woken up the national handball authorities that something needs to be done. Their action so far has consisted of announcing plans to embark on an expansion program that they insist will increase competitiveness. Quite how a bunch of new teams will prove to be anything other than extra whipping boys for the Big Four no one has yet to explain.

Given the disappointing number of just five nations signed up currently, the deadline for entries to the Seventh World Club Handball Championship will be extended 24 hours to 17:00 BST on Monday 27th May 2013. Hopefully this will prove sufficient for at least a couple more nations to produce some results.

It is also worth noting that with neither a completed league season published for this season, nor a history of any completed league seasons being published within the past two WCHC cycles, the entry from The Jahistic Unified Republic stands to be rejected.

I'm not on the Greenwich Meridian so my time is a few seconds behind. Bear that in mind.

In a closely contested league, the Mapletish Handball Glatico Campeonato Season One ends with Home United taking the bragging rights as the best handball club in Mapletish. Their journey was more than dramatic, taking home the title on the final matchday with Celtics Rovers failing to get past Club Atletico. After Season I, talks for the expansion of the handball championships are announced, but the current structure of the sixteen biggest sports clubs in Mapletish would stay put for more seasons to come.

Everyone had fallen asleep by the time they got round to mentioning this and so aren't quite as excited.

Final (at Harbor Wave Handball Arena, Ko-oren City, Ko-oren)
Ile Perrot Epee (SIC) 24–22 Jaadlands HC (PIS)

The near constant presence of a Polarian team in the World Club Handball Championship final continued apace. However rather than making it's way to Jaadlands the trophy will instead be heading back with Ile Perrot Epee, the first side from Sicoutimont to reach the final let alone win the tournament. Ile Perrot Epee therefore are guaranteed entrance to defend their crown. Entries for WCHC8 are now open. The tentative closing date for entries is Saturday 6th July 2013. All nations publishing a scorinated set of season results are invited to enter up to four teams. Clubs should be entered based on performance within the association's main competition. Associations (excepting Ko-oren) which participated in WCHC7 may submit a single venue to be considered for hosting the final of WCHC8.

WCHC Qualifiers from the Federation according to these results...
HGK Kungsdocks
GKGK
Jaadlands HC
Fynersturen Island

Host Bid

Kungsdocks Arena - 5,900
Kungsdocks stadium is the home of HGK Kungsdocks, and also serves as the national handball arena, despite being smaller than the stadium in which GKGK play their matches by about 2,000 seats. Somewhat more modern than SK Nasjonale Hauker's rather ramshackle Kungsdocks stadium that is directly adjacent to it, the handball arena is a gleaming construction in laminated wood both inside and out, and along with the football stadium and the Central Hockey Stadium, is one of the three main buildings in the Kungsdocks Sportskampus, Franz Josef City. Visitors would be assured of a warm welcome despite the chilling temperatures outside, and it would be a source of great pride for the nation to have the WCHC final played not only in the nation that has contributed more finalists than any other so far, but also in the home of the competition's first ever champions.

National Equestrian Handball League
Season 3

Well now, wasn't that a solid run by Cloudsdale in the last WCHC? Quarterfinalists despite being from a rather mediocre league with little real competition. Better yet, the Equestrian States is moving up in the world of club handball! Or, at least they're not ranked in the bottom few spots. Anyways, onto the season!

The Everfree Ballers controlled the top position for most of the season, starting an impressive 5-0-0 and needing just one point to clinch the title with two games left in the season. But the Ballers couldn't even scrape out a draw, crumbling before Manehattan and Ponyville to fall into a tie with Cloudsdale. The Wingers then captured the title by virtue of H2H goal differential despite Everfree's strength all season long.

Beaverriver Handball League

Season 1

Beaverriver Sports Association has been established to be the overlord of all sports leagues and tournaments in Beaverriver except for soccer. Their first thing they did was establish the Beaverriver handball league for all of Beaverriver to enjoy. There were some issues that continued on about the league like the significant amount of soccer clubs owning teams in other sports and promotion and relegation for the league.

The deadline for entries to the Eighth World Club Handball Championship is hereby set for 17:00 BST on Saturday 6th July 2013*Possibly.

Associations may submit up to four teams for the tournament, ideally with published standings from their most recent domestic season (exceptions may be granted in exceptional circumstances if an association has published standings within the last two WCHC cycles). Associations who participated in the previous tournament may submit a single venue to be considered for hosting the final of the upcoming tournament.

*I recognise that a deadline of this Saturday leaves for a shorter warning than usual, however Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be the most free time I have spare to run the WCHC hence my desire for a Saturday cutoff. If this timespan is too short for anyone please do TG me and I may be able to put the deadline back a day or two.
I'm not on the Greenwich Meridian so my time is a few seconds behind. Bear that in mind.

As envisaged the handball authorities attempts at shaking up competitiveness in the NTHL consisted of shoehorning a series of additional teams into the mix and significantly increasing the length of the season. The new clubs were largely airlifted into arenas built for the ninth Handball World Cups which didn't already have tenants, whilst a second County Feeaknock side was added to the mix, ostensibly to serve the environs of the capital city whilst Ballyfeeaknock Capitals remain for the metropolitan area. However the changes had little effect with Hilshore yet again easing to the title with the trio of Sayercooan, Penfro and Ballyfeeaknock Capitals following in their wake to the WCHC places. Of some consolation though was Oileánaigh an Iarthair encouraging start. The expansion team from the island county of Na Hoileáin Órga finished in a very credible sixth place. The remaining three expansion sides meanwhile dissapointed in taking a clean sweep of the bottom places. Plus ça change.
