Venues

Sarrbia, being a tropical archipelago, has an abundance of pristine beaches. The geography of Sarrbia, in addition the people's love of football, results in a wide selection of beach soccer arenas. The best of Sarrbia's beach soccer locations have been selected to serve as venues for the fifth Beach Cup. Three of these four successfully hosted games in Beach Cup 2. They are listed in deatil below.

Image
Location: Palm Coast, Sarrbia
Capacity: 20,000

Cinnamon Beach Arena is the premier beach soccer location in all of Sarrbia. It is located in beautiful Palm Coast, the capital of Sarrbia. Cinnamon Beach Arena offer pristine scenery and easy access to the capital. It is proud to be one of the largest Beach Soccer stadiums in existence, with a capacity of 20,000. The pitch's sand is extremely soft and powdery-making it one of the best beach soccer venues in Sarrbia. Group 1 matches and the Championship will be played at Cinnamon Beach Arena.

Image
Location: Wypuli, Sarrbia
Capacity: 15,000

SampoTech Stadium is located just outside of Wypuli - the unofficial Mecca of beach sports. While not quite as extravagant or massive as Cinnamon Beach Arena, SampoTech Stadium holds 15,000 spectators and is an excellent venue for the Beach Cup. It will be the home of Group 2 matches and the 3rd Place match. It was built only last year, replacing the legendary but ancient Concord Enterprises Stadium.

Image
Location: Malton, Sarrbia
Capacity: 8,600

The Milo Sanders Oceanside Sportsplex, often shortened to Sanders Sportsplex, is a multi-purpose beach sports facility in Malton, Sarrbia. Most often used for beach soccer, Sanders Sportsplex can hold just under 10,000 fans at expanded capacity. The sand at the MSOS is harder and more densely packed than the sand at the previous two venues, which makes it slightly less rigorous and require less endurance. The sportsplex is still one of the finest Sarrbia has to offer and will be used for Group 3 matches and early playoff matches.

Image
Location: Sapphire Springs, Sarrbia
Capacity: 6,400

Sapphire Stadium is the only location of the four that is not situated on an actual beach. Instead is located near Sarrbia's only mountain range and offers amazing scenery. Sand is imported from Wypuli - the location of SampoTech Stadium. Sapphire Stadium is relatively new and is the cleanest and most high-tech of the stadiums; however, it is smaller, holding 6,400 fans. Sapphire Stadium will be used for Group 4 matches and the early rounds of the playoffs.

Other Information

The baseball mode of NSFS 3 will be used in Beach Cup V as it has in every other Beach Cup. Both rankings and RP Bonus will be a utilized, however, RP Bonus is emphasized. Any team can succeed with consisted roleplay. RPs are judged on a scale of 1-5 based on quality, originality, cooperation, accuracy, and to a lesser degree - length. When you post your roster, include a style modifier ranging from -5 to +5. Remember that -5 is the most defensive and +5 is the most offensive.

Cutoff times will typically be around 11:00 p.m. CST (5 a.m. GMT)

Where will the results be posted, here?
If you happen to be one of those people who cannot figure out the obvious, let me tell you that I like the Arsenal soccer team. This sport is more commonly known as football.

Coach: Terry Fenords
Assistant Coach: Mohamed Fo Zalid
Team Medic: Jason De vach.

Starting V:

GK: Noah Gooper
Backup for a few years before breaking out in the Hossaim Beach Soocer League then leading Hossaim to it's 2nd Beach Cup last year. He has great handling and is very good at shot stopping. Age 27

DF: Carl Bisohp
Hossaim's solid backliner. Good luck getting past him, his hard tackling and determination have cost Hossaim a few fouls, but the fact that he usually get's the ball is worth it. He also is fairly young, at only 29.

DF: Sean Embed
A skilled backline, though his shot is very lacking. He has a great pass, being able to pick players out from amazing distances and angles with great accuracy. He is still young at age 25.

FW: Jerry Renalds
Hossaim's top scorer. He has great speed and acrobatic skills, allowing him to plot the ball away from anywhere. He has a few editions ahead of him, at age 30.

FW: Andrew Peralton
While Peralton is not very fast, his main value comes in his ball skills. He is a great passer, and can keep the ball in the air to hit the most beautiful chips and flicks. his control is second to none, and he is very tall alowing him the pulck the ball everywhere with his head, it being a powerfull shot or a delightfull chip. He is 28.

Bench
GK: Parker Stevens 32
DF: David Verbon, 29
DF: John Vorson, 26
FW: Harry Jaberlick, 19

This is Vekki Myaya for VCNMN (Vulshainian Confederate News and Media Network) covering Beach Cup V in Sarrbia.

OOC: Style: +1

The Sea-Wolves have decided to go for a slightly aggressive strategy.

Team Sarrbia: Beach Cup V Roster and Information

Because Sarrbia is an archipelago with a plentiful supply of beaches, beach soccer is equal in popularity to association football here. The sport is rooted firmly in Sarrbian culture. The top athletes from Sarrbia's beach soccer league were elected by fans to represent the nation at the 5th Beach Cup here in Sarrbia.

The Sarrbians hosted the 2nd Beach Cup and placed 2nd, but a disappointing Beach Cup 3 dipped our ranking to 4th place, where it has remained since then - behind Hossaim, Kazzoria and Delaclava. After Beach Cup 3, former Manager Mikhael Sarmon was demoted and replaced by former Beach Soccer legend Holt Lavine. Lavine's lukewarm success in Beach Cup 4 allowed him to keep the job for Beach Cup 5 - but he remains on the hot seat. Additionally, long-time Team Sarrbia staple at defenceman Milo Wykti (42) is now a coach at the Defenceman position.

Those within the organization are very hopeful that Beach Cup V could see Sarrbia's return to prominence. The team is still comprised of many players from their glorious Beach Cup 2 run. Although being in a group with powerful teams such as Vulshain, Spitfyred1, Carmadin and Thatius will not be easy, Sarrbia does have a solid chance at reclaiming beach soccer glory. Please note that the Sarrbian squad is mixed male and female. You can find more information on the team below.

Basic Information

Manager: Holt Lavine
Assistant Manager: Mikhael Sarmon
Based in: Wypuli, Sarrbia
Colors: Pink, White, Gold
Species/Gender: Human, Mixed Gender

Formation

-----------------------Mallakos----------------------
----------Draughns---------------Wykti-------------
--------------McSanders--Thompson--------------

Starting 5:

GK - Kyle Mallakos
Mallakos is an extraordinary 31 year old goalie from Wypuli, Sarrbia. He is tall and boasts excellent coordination and judgement skills. He is a long-time member of Team Sarrbia.
DF - Penelope Draughns
Draughns is a young beach soccer phenomenon from Sapphire Springs, Sarrbia. She is but 24 years old, yet is heralded as the poster-girl for Sarrbia's stout defense.
DF - Elvis Nubarre
Nubarre was the replacement for all-star defender Milo Wykti in Beach Cup 4. Now entering his second year on the team, at 29, he has plenty of experience and is a very balanced player with no true weakness.
FW - Lee McSanders
McSanders has established himself as one of the best scorers in all of Sarrbia. The 28 year old can knock in a goal from anywhere on the pitch.
FW - Charlotte Thompson
Thompson (25) is the best beach soccer player Sarrbia has ever produced. She has incredible speed, strength and ball skills, and will dominate games single-handedly. With her, Sarrbia's campaign in Beach Cup i looks very bright.

Subs:

GK - Rupert Burton (27)
DF - Jesse Appercot (20)
DF - Julia Verdiene (30)
FW - Iggy Saldamari (26)
FW - Sasha Ramone (23)

(OCC: iv now decided that the beach cup is every 2 years in hossaim, roster will be updated accordingly)

Can Hossaim Repeat?
By Rudolf Berchin

After beating Deleclava in last editions thrilling final, pressure will be on Hossaim to have another great tournament. The Hossaim side, still being lead by the now 30 year old Renalds, have no excuse not to go far. Gooper, who is coming off another great season in HBL and being solid in the back has Hossaim won Beach Cup 4, will be one of the top goalkeepers at the tournament. Bishop is still an impenetrable force at the back, and Embed can still hit a soda can from 70 yards. Peralton still has his fancy flicks, and Renalds can still rocket a spectacular shot out of the goalies reach and into the net.

The group stage will be the first challenge, with Darmen and their deadly skillful forward Scott Perry, who's skill and goalscoreing abilities are only matched by our Jerry Renalds. There is Civil Citizenry, who ranked 8th in the world are as dangerous as any team. Whole those 2 are out big competition, there is also 27th ranked Megadia, along with newcomers St. Rosa, Krumbia, Cakistan, and Homelands our. With the top 4 advancing from each group, It would take a major shock for Hossaim to not find themselves in the round of 16.

In their first game, Hossaim will be playing Krumbia. Unranked and unknown, Hossaim should have little trouble against these newcomers. However, with huge challenges to come, Hossaim need to get the easy points or they may find themselves in serious trouble.
Hossaim Family of F7

Spitfyred1 Fyreballz Beach Cup Team

The Fyreballz squad has been successful for years, but a shake-up was neccessary to keep competitive. The Fyreballz have changed up their squad, and their style of play. Perhaps fresh blood can reenergize the team.
-
GK- Joseph Neo - Joseph is the only player on the squad who has never played in the Beach Cup before. The replacement for Luis Monera, Joseph has large shoes to fill. Joe is a young player with quick reflexes. His skills need refining but he is considered a good player.

DF- Zaphood Plantae - Zaphood has played Beach Football for a while and his known for his commanding appearance. A tall man of two metres, Zaphood is an imposing presence. He is an aggressive defender known for clattering tackles and good placement.

DF- Kyle Animalia - Kyle is a drastic counterpart to his teammate Zaphood. A short man with agility and speed he used to play midfielder. This cup he is expected to focus more on defense than the attack.

MD- Ginerva Protista - Ginerva is playing her first cup as midfielder rather than as forward. A speedy woman with great aim, she also takes the penalty and free kicks. She has led her league in assists for the past four years. Ginerva is also the captain.

FW- Angelina Prokaryota - Angelina is the attacker. She has great strength and is known for her power. She has a strong leg and harder head. Her prowess in the air is phenomenal.

In case of injury the team has a few young players on hand. They should not see much playing time.
MD - Jenny Tsu - Jenny is an archaetypical midfielder, lanky with good skills. She is a rising player and considered a lock for next years squad.
DF - OJ Brown - OJ is a stocky player with tough skills. He gives a lot of effort but gains a lot of cards.
FW - Jerome Hansel - Jerome is an extremely quick and athletic kid. He is very young but shows promise.

The team has decided to focus on a new 1-2-1-1 offense with Prokaryota the forward. The emphasis of the team has switched to defense, and the the trio of goalkeeper and defenders should form a tight wall.

Mapletish finishes Mangolana in shock 1-4 win...

By : Your Sports Editor : John Danny
Image
Yorkshire shows determination and accuracy as he gets the ball into the net.

Mapletish started off the Beach Cup with a surprise win over Mangolana, the unranked Mapletish side take on the field,I mean beach with a lack of confidence
the one man defence slipped to an early goal from Mangolana, but Mapletish managed to hit back with captain Yorkshire Dawin, the 26 year old showed determination.Yorkshire lead an attack range with two of the backing midfielders as they get the ball past the Mangolana's defence.Ayumu Hikaru took over the attack with Markku Soini trying to get the ball down in the attack.Fábián Csaba went up the attack with 3 of his teammates. As Mapletish got the scoreline up to 1-1,Dawson Lee tripped on the sand and fell, causing Mapletish to end off with an injured player but Vincenza Geltrude went straight into the beach and helped him up and did some emergency treatment. To what gave Mapletish so much determination was this injury that boosted the Maplish team.Dawson Lee carried on with this injury and Dr Jayson Dawson, the manager of the squad decides to approach the match with a safer approach to prevent his already small squad to break into pieces. In the end,Ralph Joachim assisted Yorkshire Dawin as he scored his second and the third.Yorkshire finished off the perfect day with a forth as he went straight to his manager who gave him such a perfect determination streak as the whole team huddle together as they won their first Beach Cup match..

DBSC Beach Cup Coverage

The Fifth Beach Cup kicked off yesterday, as Darmen got of to a quick, 6-4 win over St. Rosa. Darmen was spured on by the play of veteran goal scorers Tim Prince and Scott Perry. The first period saw Prince and Perry score in the 3rd and 7th minutes respectively, putting Darmen up 2-0. St. Rosa responded early in the second period, scoring two goals, but Lyons and Perry each scored in the 15th and 16th minutes respectively, and Perry added another goal on a penalty kick to give Darmen a 5-2 advantage. The begining of the third period wasn't very pretty for Darmen, as Goalkeeper Derek Bowe allowed two goals, making the score 5-4. But George Pele came to the rescue in the 30th minute, scoring a spectacular curving goal from almost the other side of the field.

Darmen, with the win, sit's third in the Group 4 standings. Along with Darmen and St. Rosa in Group 4 are: Civil Citizenry, Megadia, Krumbia, Hossaim, Cakistan, and Homelands our. Darmen should expect stiff resistance from Civil Citizenry and Hossaim, who Darmen just happens to play in it's next two games. However, Group 4 looks pretty weak outside of Darmen, Civil Citizenry, and Hossaim, and we expect that Darmen can easily finish second, possibly even first.

Ipeland start Beach Cup V with surprise win over Carasatoga
Ipeland 6-5 Carasatoga

Juno Angelo (right) and Terry Milles (left) clash

Ipeland got off to the perfect start in their first Beach Cup, beating 26th ranked Carasatoga 6-5. Gerad Dosad scored 4 and Derp Glocks scored 2 to lead Ipeland to victory. The defence stemmed a Carasatoga comeback in the second and third period.

The first period had four goals. The first came on 2 minutes, Dosad shooting from the middle of the pitch, which went straight into the net. The next came on 5 minutes, Dosad doing well to latch on from a good pass from Muiller, and slotted it home. Ipeland's third came on 8 minutes, Glocks running up the pitch and heading a cross into the net. Carasatoga pulled one back on 10 minutes, Juno Angelo scoring from around 5 yards.

Second period. Ipeland's fourth and Dosad's third came on the 14th minute, him heading in from a Glocks cross. He scored again on the 16th minute, shooting from halfway which looped over Carasatoga's keeper and into the net. Carasatoga started their comeback on 19 minutes, Angelo scoring again. Jeff Meahl scored on the 22nd minute for Carasatoga, which rounded off the scoring for the period.

The last period is where it began to hot up. Carasatoga's Micheal Swift scored on 28 minutes, a header from a Cameron Jarvis cross. Cameron Jarvis then scored Carasatoga's equalizer and 5th goal, on 30 minutes. The game then became fierce, until Derp Glocks took a wild shot which somehow caught Iam Kay out and went into the net. Ipeland's travelling support cheered loudly when the first half whistle blew.

Ipeland's next game is against Mapletish, who come off a 4-1 win over Mangolana.
