Cup of Harmony 47 (RP/Rosters/Scores)

Postby Saugeais » Tue May 17, 2011 7:57 pm

CUP OF HARMONY 47
SARZONIA & SAUGEAIS

Welcome to the 47th Cup of Harmony!

The format is a simple, straightforward, single round robin group stage. Teams will be divided into multiples of four. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four, with four groups playing in Saugeais and four groups playing in Sarzonia. Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to a single elimination knockout round. The locations of the third place playoff and final will be determined.

Points will be first, followed by goal differential, H2H result, and H2H goal differential, and finally the amount of wins a team has.

We will use NSFS 3.0.1 to scorinate results. Saugeais will scorinate their matches around 9 pm EST and Sarzonia, between 10 and 11 pm EST.

RP bonus will be calculated with the most recent RP bonuses carrying the most weight, rewarding consistent RPers. Only the first RP created on a particular day will be counted toward that day's/night's matchday if someone posts multiple RPs on the same day. Permitted style modifiers will range from minus-3 (defensive) to plus-3 (offensive). RPs can earn a maximum of 2 KPB points per day, and will never degrade. Multiple RPs for one matchday will be treated as one score and will be given a grade based on the overall quality for that day. To ensure that everyone's roleplay is respected, please post the following permissions with your roster, and be as detailed in your answers as you need.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

FORMATION: 4-4-2 Diamond
MODIFIER: +3

COACH
Theodore Czacki49 years oldChevronia Stars*
Theodore Czacki has a rich history of coaching winning teams—not only with the Chevronia Stars, but with the Brunside Arrows, the DiKalbe Thunder Devils, and the Falcons of East Chevronia University. Taken all together, he has won six championships, five with professional clubs and one in the collegiate national tournament.

GOALKEEPERS
07. Navering Pounchtal20 years oldAlossie Mountain State University
Navering Pounchtal is considered perhaps the greatest goalkeeper in Stachland collegiate history, leading his university, the Alossie Mountain State Ferrets, to two consecutive national championships, the first team to ever achieve that feat. Though he is only a junior and intends to remain at Alossie Mountain State for his senior year, Pounchtal is already committed to play for the Manju Island Kingfishers upon graduation.

29. Franklin Malachy18 years oldChevronia Central College
Franklin Malachy is an up and coming sensation in the Central Ten Conference, carrying his Chevronia Central Grey Penguins to a conference title and a fourth place finish in the Stachland Collegiate Athletic Association Class-A national tournament. He has been scouted by several professional clubs, but admits he is young and will probably need at least one more year to truly understand his goals in life.

DEFENDERS
09. Nigel Svirvsky25 years oldWolseley Mastodons*
Nigel Svirvsky is known best in Stachland for the role he has played in several controversial events, including the "Giving Clock Match" while he was playing for Saphata Independent University, and the "Bloody Tuesday Match" during his season spent with the Gotto Stingers. Despite this, and his rough style of play, Nigel's skill is often beyond criticism.

20. Juran Chueran21 years oldWest Chevronia State University
Juran Chueran was the primary catalyst for the West Chevronia State Wolf Pack's appearance in the 2010 collegiate national tournament's Round of Eight. With his defense, the team gave up only seventeen goals during the regular season, the third-lowest total in Stachland collegiate history. Juran is now being courted by several professional clubs, but is undecided as to where he wants to go with his career.

45. Rettar Goyal21 years oldBlue Island State University
Though his university as a team has never made it past the Second Round of the collegiate national tournament, Rettar Goyall is considered one of the country’s premier defenders, driven to excel like few others are. He was on the field for every minute of every game the Blue Island Whales played this most recent season.

55. Carter Monnedayle20 years oldBrunside University
Carter Monnedayle was a walk-on addition to the Brunside Predators team his freshman year, having never played the sport before. Now, with three years of experience under his belt, Carter is considered among the nation’s best, and has recently made an agreement with the Chevronia Capitals to play for that professional club following his collegiate career.

61. Mason Breckenridge18 years old Sasnak University
Over three years, the DiKalbe East High School club allowed only twenty-two goals, by far the least in the nation. A pair of defenders, one being Mason Breckenridge, were credited with this tremendous feat. Mason has been recruited by Sasnak University to revive their ailing program, which was once considered among the nation’s best.

89. Jon Silver18 years oldViscare College
The second half of the DiKalbe East High School defensive team, Jon Silver, was already famous as the son of esteemed player and coach Oliver Silver. Now, with a solid high school career behind him, Jon is interested in earning a reputation of his own at Viscare College, a school with a rich history of success in athletics.

06. Enver Tunak22 years oldBlondesbury University
Enver Tunak was the top recruiting prospect in the nation going into his freshman year, with offers of scholarships from dozens of universities and colleges before he finally settled upon Blondesbury University. He is often injured, having sat out five games last season due to various injuries, but nevertheless is a potent force on the field.

MIDFIELDERS
01. Everett Lang27 years oldChevrin Nova*
With eight years of professional experience, Everett Lang is the eldest and most seasoned member of the Stachland national team. Despite being considered one of the nation's premier midfielders, his club, the Chevrin Nova, has never won a title—they have lost in the championship match three years running, first to the Manju Island Kingfishers, then twice to the DiKalbe Thunder Devils.

77. Ratin Beenum22 years oldCoastal Chevrin University
Though the Coastal Chevrin Penguins have only had two winning seasons in Ratim Beenun's four years—and no titles to speak of—this is not through lack of effort on Ratim's part. Caring nothing for the personal physical toll, he is the most dedicated midfielder in collegiate play, aggressive on both ends of the field.

28. Jun Streat19 years oldWolseley Technical University
The Wolseley Tech Hornets are the undisputed masters of the Stachland Collegiate Athletics Association Class-B, winning four of the last five national championships and nine in the past twenty years. Though Jun is a recent addition to their lineup, he has proven himself to be among the greatest players the team has ever fielded.

59. Janus Chambliss24 years oldManju Island Kingfishers*
Janus Chambliss is often listed with Everett Lang as one of the nation's greatest midfielders. Though he was injured for most of the Baptism of Fire, he proved his health by scoring Stachland's only goal in a 2-1 loss to Polar Islandstates. Cleared by the team's doctors to play in World Cup qualifying, he will finally be given the opportunity for his first international start.

03. Jamar Simmons21 years oldFuller University
As a sophomore, Jamar Simmons put together a remarkable season, leading the team in assists and helping the Fuller Red Atoms advance all the way to the national tournament's Round of Eight. Though he was injured for almost his entire junior year, Jamar has returned to form this season, and is more than prepared for international play.

84. Michael Esterhazy21 years oldWolseley Technical University
The second of the two Wolseley Tech Hornets on the national team's roster, Michael Esterhazy led the team in assists three years in a row, and was honored on the All-Stachlandic Team twice. He looks to have a promising professional career ahead of him, as he was drafted by the Gotto Stingers to fill the void left by the departure of their star midfielder Jon Duly.

91. Jerce Wolszan17 years oldVerown High School
Jerce Wolszan was added to the team so that he may gain valuable experience in international competition. Though he has just graduated from Verown High School, a prestigious institution located within the capital city of Chevronia, Jerce is already among the better midfielders in the country, and has been offered full-ride scholarships to several universities, including Wolseley Tech and Alossie Mountain State.

02. Perte Chellar20 years oldMonarch's Village University
Perte Chellar is the most accomplished player in the history of his school, Monarch's Village University. Though the Hound Dogs have not won any titles, the perennial cellar-dwellers have had three winning seasons in a row, at one point coming within a single game of a Capital Ten Conference Title. Perte is not committed to any professional team, though he is currently hearing offers from several.

FORWARDS
12. Zachary Zeelowe20 years oldSasnak State University
Sasnak State University won the Stachland Collegiate Athletic Association Class-A national tournament in 2008, before the current Alossie Mountain State run, and it was in large part due to Zachary Zeelowe, who scored twice in Sasnak State's 2-0 upset victory over Alossie Mountain State in the semifinals. Zeelowe was named the tournament's most valuable player that year, and to this day remains a potent attacking force.

14. Lyle Verdak20 years oldAlossie Mountain State University
While Nevaring Pounchtal is considered the greatest player on the team, Lyle Verdak has played a critical role in Alossie Mountain State's recent successes. He is their second all-time leading goalscorer, and is fourth all-time in assists. With both strength and speed, Lyle has performed admirably for match after match.

52. Allan Butcher22 years oldDiKalbe Thunder Devils*
Allan Butcher played for the Suburban Coast College his freshman year before leaving the university early to play professionally with the DiKalbe Thunder Devils. Though he is one of the younger members of the team, Butcher has played a role in their two recent championships, winning the second with a dramatic tiebreaking goal with just seconds remaining in regulation.

68. Lucas Poldon19 years oldGurchar Mariners*
Lucas Poldon had his beginnings at Morthage High School, where he virtually singlehandedly led his high school to a state championship and a ranking of third in the nation. He was drafted by the Gurchar Mariners once he had completed his senior year, and passed up offers from several universities to become a professional. Now with two years of professional experience, Lucas is the lackluster Mariners' standout star.

22. Drutan Metis20 years oldLipachi College
With sheer determination, Drutan Metis has found a way into the highest echelons of the Stachland sports world. Though his Lipachi Bobcats have not finished above the .500 mark in their seven years of existence, Drutan is a truly exceptional player who has laid the foundation for a solid dynasty yet to be born.

the Sea Dragons are pleased to announce that Mace will be bringing his wonderful karaoke for everyone's listening enjoyment.

ASMV World Cup 55 Roster and Information
*
You can do anything you like short of killing off players

Squad Name: Sea Dragons
*
Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image
*
Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow[b]
Image
*
Style: [b]Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2 (-2 defensive)

*
About the Tidal Surge
The Tidal Surge formation is a hybrid style that makes use of athleticism in key “flex” positions that allow the formation to ebb and flow between styles to take advantage of personnel match-ups and break opportunities. At any point in the match the Tidal Surge can more remind viewers and opponents of a 5-3-3 (most often) or a 3 4-3 (least often) but can usually be found flexing in between those extremes.
Three key positions make this formation work. The offensive midfielder with which everyone is familiar and the two hybrid positions called “UP” backs. These two positions are a direct cross between center midfielders and outside backs. These two positions use athletic ability to move up and down the pitch changing the formation to fit the needs of current needs. Thus at any one moment the formation can resemble anything from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 creating, quite nearly, the perfect positions for almost any situations.
*
Coaching Staff
The Sea Dragons are blessed with a relatively young staff with several members only shortly past their playing days. They bring a fire to their preparation and leadership that keeps the players hungry to overachieve and ready to perform under any kind of pressure. After a great performance in World Cup 53, which was capped by an unexpected run into the quarterfinals, the staff has solidified their own positions and are geared up for another run at glory.
*
Manager Ibrihim Kali’Kalii m 42 6’3 225
Ibrihim brings a hard-nosed style that demands responsibility and respect for both himself and the entire organization. The Sea Dragons played very well under his direction in qualification for World Cups 53 and 54, making the round of eight in WC 53 before falling flat in the WC group stage in 54.
Now Kali’Kalii has returned with even more fire to prove the run by the Sea Dragons was more than just luck. He is now out to prove that the Sea Dragons deserve to be mentioned alongside the truly elite of the World Cup sides. That means finding a way to not only qualify for a third straight time, but to move into the knock-out stages and trade blows with the big boys and girls.
*
Offensive Asst Calif Atain’I M 44 6’2 195
To think of the defensive oriented Sea Dragons as having a scary good offense was unheard of - until now. Calif understands the transition from midfield to attack perhaps better than any other person in the world. And the scores show it.
*
Midfield Asst Lorea Kai F 43 5’10 165
The new crop of midfielders solidified during qualification and managed to be average in the WC group stage. Four years older, and presumably four years wiser, This group will be looked on to control the pace of the matches and allow the Sea Dragons to dictate results to their opponents.
*
Defensive Asst[ Mace Kinoz’gh M 46 6’2 225
Mr. Karaoke. Sometimes his players tend to forget just how good he was on the pitch. Four new faces appeared in the five-player flux of defenders the Tidal Surge makes use of, and it was the defense that let the Sea Dragons down in the end last time out. Mace has worked hard to put some aggressiveness into the play of the more finesse minded players. If the talent level on each side was not so high, he would have probably made the change to more physical players.
*
Goalkeeper Asst Jubaxilo Valdori M 38 6’5 200
With the retirement of Emyle Triarii, Jub will have to earn his check this time around. Ki’Seru is a talented keeper but it remains to be seen if he can be a real difference maker the way Emyle was.
*
Starting 11

Pos no name sex age ht wt/lbs

RS 19 Jonasei Ariq’Alara M 21 6’4 210
Built like a center back, Jonasei has turned into a commanding attacker that forces the defense to compensate against. Nearly a perfect blend of size and speed, the young forward looks to carve his own place from the shadows left by Jahirii. If play from the other side becomes consistent, Jonasei could score in bunches as he sees more defenses open up.

LS 17 Ciara Ju’Rizii F 22 5’7 145
The young attacker played well for much of the last campaign, although she did seem to disappear in big matches. That being said, the staff fully expects her to be a real difference maker in taking pressure off Jonasei. There is a huge difference between 18 and 22 in mental and physical toughness that should prove true in this outing.

OM 10 Kielquew Kijarii M 29 6’4 210
Sheer speed earned Kijarii a starting spot in WC53. Excellent play and dominating performances has allowed him to return as a starter and keep the spot. Hope is that with the two forwards being more seasoned, he can return to his WC53 form where he picked defenses apart as he moved forward to help the attack. If Kijarii can be just half as good as he thinks he is, he could be the best offensive midfielder in the world.

RM 11 Niripsa Arunasii F 20 5’11 150
Niripsa celebrated her 16th birthday during World Cup 54 qualification. She will turn 20 on match day 1 of these qualifiers. The young girl who impressed the world with her determination now has physical ability and experience to back up her dogged approach to the game. She could be considered the key to the entire WC55 process.

LM 29 Aityrano Morigra M 32 6’3 200
Once a talented young forward, back injuries forced a move to the midfield hwere Morigra has settled in quite nicely. Solid footwork define his style as he uses innovative techniques to wrest the ball from his opponents. Creativity more than makes up for any loss of speed due to his injuries.

RUB 13 Kymykera Wu’eres F 35 5’6 145 Kymykera proved herself to be the most dominating force for ASMV on the pitch since Evan Evans in WC29 and finally gave full merit to the Tidal Surge formation and its innovative Up Back positions in the process. Kymy loves the versatility of her place and continues to look for ways to improve her game and make those around her better. She can be expected once more to control the pace of many matches and wreak havoc any place on the pitch.

LUB 14 Jarika’u Mik’kiz M 27 6’3 190
A solid starter in his own right, Jarik’au is often overlooked as opposing sides prepare for how to deal with Kymy. Huge Mistake. Jari has grown into a dependable Up back who can hold his own even if it is without the pure talent of his counterpart.

RB 50 Erzua Lua’Kai F 23 6’2 160
Zua is a bit of a question mark for what is considered to be a solid, even if young, roster. Hard-hitting and lightening fast, she has every tool needed to succeed at this level. But at times it seems as if her brain takes a vacation making her prone to silly, yet costly, mistakes. Kuri’Kurii is convinced he can help find her full potential, but that remains to be seen. With mental lapses plaguing Sali’shava as well, who knows what will happen with the defense.

CB 18 Laia Un’jeru’betcii F 21 5’11 158
Adrenaline junkie who plays the game with a kamikaze fearlessness. Makes up for lack of experience with effort and style. The Sea Dragons are historically known for hard hitting defenders and Laia follows that trend to a T.

LB 54 Pijaru Tami’Kurei M 23 6’6 220
Another positioning guru at defender, the Sea Dragons are taking a risk in moving away from the more power-oriented backs. Pijaru has the speed more closely associated with attackers and a skill with the ball that would warrant a spot in the midfield. Only his love for the defensive positions has kept him from being moved forward. It will take more than love for him to keep the spot.

K 84 Omigaeyun Ki’seru m 22 6’5 122
Young and talented keeper who is truly gifted in his instincts in the net. With Emyle’s retirement, the show is now his to control. Time will tell if his flashy style will compare in results to the more calculating and patient style employed by his predecessor.

Reserves
F 12 Ombare Huxa’Se M 22 6’3 185
Quick and aggressive, Ombare has the ability to become a threat any time he takes the pitch. The only real problem is consistency as he has a tendency to overrun plays better served with a bit less zeal.

M 39 Niccen Zurdun-Cavelii M 24 6’2 178
Niccen and Niripsa fought hard for the starting position and Niccen just was edged out. Splendid with his ball play, Niccen will get time should Niripsa falter or if the injury bug should bite Aitryano again.

D 27 Ozyxomidruin Lamas’Porii M 14 5’10 156

K 99 Sanlioch Bez’Al M 16 6’1 240
If anyone had told Kuri’Kurii that he would have a very young, overweight, mouthy, attitude case of a reserve keeper when World Cup 55 qualifiers got underway he would have laughed in their face. Yet that is exactly the case. The reason? That very young, overweight, mouthy, attitude case of a reserve keeper allowed only one goal during the month of trials to make the squad. Not only that, but when told “Go home. You won’t be trying out this time.”, Sanlioch strode onto the pitch, asked Ki’seru politely to move out of the way, and proceeded to stop the next 22 shots from the Sea Dragon starting forwards. Could this be a reincarnation of legendary Sea Dragon Keeper Shaun Conarky? Hmmm…

The Flag-Shirts will participate in the 47th Cup of Harmony.

Novikovské Národné Futbalové Mužstvo
(Novikovian National Football Team)

Formation
New Coach Cižeka has vowed to push her team to a more agressive, fast-paced style of play. As part of this, she has not only completely restructured the team, but has opted for a radical 1-6-3 "Kamikaze" formation - a huge departure from the defensively-minded 3-5-2 preferred by the previous coach. We will see if this bold new approach pays off in CoH47.

Goalkeepers:

1- Roberto BENNEDETTO (Team: FC Mildrid)
Height: 196cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 18 years old
Roberto Bennedetto is regarding by many to be the next great keeper in Erathore. From a very young age it was evident that he was exceptionally skilled at his position. At the age of 9 he was recruited by the FC Mildrid youth team and started in the junior squad. 6 years later he was moved up to the actual Mildrid team for the upcoming season opening game against the then #3 club Manlio. It was immediately evident just how skilled he was. He made several spectacular saves and blocked every single shot. He only gave up one goal and that was a penalty, of which he faced two that night, blocking one. He was offered a position at Juvillian Martinax but stayed with his childhood club.

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

12- Alessio Affonso GALIGILYGANO (Team: Juvillian Martinax)
Height: 190.5cm - Weight: 87kg – Age: 28 years old
Galigilygano has been considered one of the greatest keepers to play in Erathore after his spectacular cleansheet against the then leading club of Baritiada four years ago. He prefers to pull of saves that are he deems to be comfortable and not too risky, but if a more spectacular save is necessary he will not hesitate to perform it. Galigilygano is reluctant to challenge an enemy offender due to him having broken 3 ribs in his first professional game that saw him missing a few games. He has played for Juvillian Martinax for all of his professional career, which has been around 8 years. He has been placed as a sub due to a major injury he is just recovering from.
Rating: A+ - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B- - Form: A+
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Right Defenders:

2- Ermanno GAVINO Amedo (Team: Arro)
Height: 179cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 27 years old
Gavino belongs to one of the minor clubs so it came as a surprise to Erathore when he was appointed to the national team, and then again when he was placed as starter. It’s not as if he isn’t up to the task however, he is a very skilled and talented player. He does appear to be more concerned with how he looks on the camera over the practicality of his moves, as he is unaccustomed to so much attention. This leads to him making many spectacular and last minute tackles and steals. However, averaging a yellow a game, his method is not too clean.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: B

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

14- NARAZO Del Pietro (Team: Drago de Celio)
Height: 173cm – Weight: 67kg – Age: 25 years old
Narazo Del Pietro is a player who can play both sides of the field, although he prefers to play on the right side. More often then not, his passes are sloppy but still reach his targets by some miracle, making him one the target for many friendly jokes by his teammates, who love him due to his smiling, joking, all around good natured personality. His coaches don’t however, as he always seems to brush off his errors, although he secretly, or at least he thinks he is, practices what he has been criticized for.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: A – Morale: B – Form: C
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Left Defenders:

3- Fredrico MANLIO (Team: Manlio)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 82kg – Age: 22 years old
Fredrico Manlio is the great-grandson of Diauiditori Manlio, the great striker of Erathore and founder of the Manlio football club. However there are some on the team who resent him for his connection to Manlio. Despite the immense pressure that comes with this relationship, Fredrico performs very well, almost flawlessly.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B - Morale: A - Form: A

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

16- Santo VINCENZO Amadore(Team: Juvillian Martinax)
Height: 176cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 32 years old
A smart player, Cotuba is a player that loves to go to the attack, and is good in dribbling and excellent at passing, being good at making assists too. One of his major flaws in game is his inability to hit the long ball accurately. Outside the pitch, he likes to party and spread himself around with women. This, although being good for his ego, has resulted in much of the team taking a negative approach to working with him.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: C – Morale: A – Form: A
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Central Defenders:

5- Barino DINO (Team: FC Mildrid) - VICE-CAPTAIN
Height: 180 - Weight: 79kg - Age: 24 years old
Barino Dino is the best defender in Erathore as exemplified by him being named Defender of the Year in this past season and coming in 5th place for the same award two seasons ago. He is fast, strong, and plays to win. Hopes are high for him as he makes his international debut in this World Cup.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A

Played WCs 55, CoHs 47

21- Mariano ALBERICO (Team: EMI FC)
Height: 189cm - Weight: 86kg – Age: 27 years old
Alberico is not a clean footballer. Given his brief stint in the military, he likes to argue with officials and players from the other team. A lot. This has resulted in many a yellow and the occasional red. However he produces results so he is kept on the team. The main drawback of Alberico is his occasional bouts with anxiety about having to go toe to toe with an offender from the other team. This results in him breaking out in a massive sweat and kicking the ball away from him. Despite this, he plays hard and plays to win.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Stoppers:

4- NERO Remo (Team: Elidoro FC)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 75kg – Age: 23 years old
Nero has been trained to be a top footballer since his youth, participating in most of the youth high level club teams of the country. Even though he had the misfortune of always landing on a losing team during that age, in the professionals he has taken Elidoro FC into the La Leaugia Seriea-A and into the top 10 teams at that. Off the field, Nero can be found reading to classical music on one of Erathore’s beaches.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: C - Form: B

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

26- Vanni DEL NARAN (Team: Charzzan)
Height: 173cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 20 years old
Since being placed on the national team, Naran has found that his domestic and international game have improved immensely. Even though he is still a sub, he will be played much more frequently.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: A – Morale: B – Form: A+
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Defensive Midfielders:

6- EMLIO Fredrico(Team: CR Submiria-Churchma)
Height: 170cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 30 years old
Emlio is a player that loves to play the game. He trains everyday, wears his jersey around the house and has been known to sleep in it from time to time. As a player, he works as a second defensive midfielder, with more freedom to go to the attacks, mostly due to his ability in controlling the ball and making precise passes. His favored and most classic move is performing a backwards pass with his heel after catching the ball on a bounce.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: B – Morale: A – Form: B

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

15- BLAKE Fedele (Team: Vincanto)
Height: 179cm – Weight: 71kg – Age: 37 years old
Blake has been playing for Vincanto since the first youth team was created, and seems satisfied with the substitute role, as he often gets playing time for being a very trustworthy person and good at holding the ball and strictly following tactics. He excels at seeing one of his teammates making a long break before they themselves make the break. A fine choice for this position, he does this unlike any other. This is to be his last international season and he hopes that it goes smoothly.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: B
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Neutral Midfielders:

8- Miguel SILVIA (Team: Sparta FC-FSSO)
Height: 182cm - Weight: 80kg – Age: 22 years old
Silvia is widely regarding as one of the greatest passers and assisters in Erathore’s history. With the number of assists in triple digits, it’s hard to deny. In his most famous assist, he shot at the goal from 23yd out, only to reveal that his target had been the crossbar. The ball ricocheted and landed at the feet of the Dubor striker who pounded it in for the goal. Off the field, Silvia likes to study geometry. He is also amazing at Pascal’s Triangle.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: A – Morale: A – Form: A

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

19- FIORELLO Lupes (Team: Resolute Storm 1913 FC-Polar Islandstates)
Height: 185cm – Weight: 78kg – Age: 27 years old
Fiorello likes to listen to heavy metal while training, is capable of bending the ball, although to a very limited extent, and argues very loudly with referees. Despite his tall stature and aforementioned attributes, he has beautiful footwork with the ball. Weaving the ball above, around, and under the opponent.
Rating: B+ – Team Relationship: B – Morale: A – Form: A+
Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

Attacking Midfielders:

7- Alexio Del NIERAN (Team: Dunboor FC-Cafundéu) -CAPTAIN
Height: 181cm – Weight: 71kg – Age: 21 years old
Alexio is a quiet and respectful footballer. He enjoys training whilst listening to dubstep and classical music. He is equally adapt at offense and defense. He is always respectful to the referees, calmly and rationally arguing with them and if proven wrong he apologizes to, and then thanks the referee. He has been compared to an artist creating a masterpiece on the field and it is evident why. He is widely credited with being the most proficient at bending the ball in Erathore. This has caused many a keeper to scramble and fail to save his ball that curves first one way then another. He recently returned to FCM from Krytenian club Avidia United, where he lead them to a record breaking first place finish.
Rating: A+ – Team Relationship: A+ – Morale: A+ – Form: A+

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

11- ANTONIO Casento (Team: Astria Yaburi)
Height: 182cm - Weight: 77kg - Age: 23 years old
Antonio Casento is the first Seria-C player to be appointed to the national team and he is well up to the task. He is widely praised for his sheer speed and skill throughout Erathore. Unfortunately for him, he plays CAM, which is the same as Alexio Del Nieran, who is easily the starter.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: B+ - Morale A+ - Form: A
Played WCs 55, CoHs 47

Attackers:

10- Gaspare MALVOLIO (Team: Juvillian Martinax)
Height: 177cm – Weight: 75kg – Age: 26 years old
Malvolio is the fastest footballer in Erathore. When he was 13 years old he posted a 4.54 40-yd dash and has continually improved that to wear he runs a 2.56 on a bad day and a 2.14 on a good one. He has impressive dribbling skills to match that speed as well. He doesn’t have powerful shots though, he prefers to lure the goalkeeper into a challenge so he can humiliate the keeper by nutmegging him for the goal.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: B– Morale: B – Form: B

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

9- LUCIFER Andrea (Team: Vicanto)
Height: 192cm – Weight: 85kg – Age: 26 years old
Lucifer is a jack of all trades, master of none. He is not particularly strong in any area, nor is he weak. While this does lead to a well-balanced player it does not lead to a particularly powerful player. He is a very cheery player though and he has developed the habit of smiling at his opposition before he makes a move.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: B – Morale: A – Form: A

Played WCs 54/55, CoHs 46/47

18- FranCESC Celestino Sergio(FC Mildrid)
Height: 176cm – Weight: 75kg – Age: 18
Francesc Celestino Sergio is the new face of football in Erathore. Thanks to a rather successful international footballing win-loss ratio, the domestic game has been supercharged and the results are showing. Impressive coaching, many new public fields, and much more have come together to encourage the new breed of national team players. Francesc is the first of the new breed. A product of the FC Mildrid Youth Academy and a promising striker, Sergio already has a year of experince in professional footballing under his belt, albeit it was with Seria-C team Erathore National Football Club. He led them to a #4 finish, scoring 11 goals on the way. This attracted his home club, FC Mildrid, who signed him on for a 5-year contract. He has scored 2 goals and was named player of the week during his debut game against Drago de Celio.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: A - Form: A
Played WCs 55, CoHs 47

23- Michelangelo De MERICCI (Team: Directus FC-FSSO)
Height: 176cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 27 years old
Mericci is one of the most powerful shooters on the team. He is capable of ripping them past the keeper from 40yd out although he rarely does that in a game. He does not boast impressive dribbling and relies on passes from teammates to score. Recently his international playing form has taken a tremendous dive, which has resulted in him being put down as a sub/reserve.

The OFA accept the invitation, and the new minister for sport, former rapper "Tha Black Mage" had the following comment to add: "Yezzir, we goin' bus' some caps in some asses, ya dig?" We are fairly certain he is not speaking literally.

EDIT : Here be the roster and stuff...

Team: Osarius National Football Team (aka "The Firebirds")
Home Stadium: Mount Crown Stadium, Burningham, Mount Crown, Osarius. (Capacity 98,000 - all-seated)

Manager: Benedict di Corradi (52 years old)
Assistant Managers: Roberto Barzaglione (52 years old) and Giorgio Cassetti (51 years old)
Captain: Ayanna Barca-Carthy
Vice-captain: Reiss Ryerson
3rd captain: Katherine Holland
Free Kick Taker: Enrico Martelli or Francesco Villa
Penalty Taker: Ayanna Barca-Carthy, Dante Speranzo or Conor Kinsella

My RP Permissions are simple...
Anything goes, just don't kill any of my players or coaching staff, please.
If you must injure a player, please let me decide how severe... I have ideas for a few players this time and I can't have someone putting them out of commission too early. Sorry!

Killing/maiming fans is okay though. Speaking of the fans, they are very... raucous. And violent.
In fact, as a nation, Osarians are violent people, but not mindlessly so.
Think of them as educated hooligans (paradox liekwoa!).

The team itself generally doesn't consciously defend. They press high up the pitch though and try to win the ball back as quickly as possible. They will slow down when ahead later in the game, but only so they don't run up the score unnecessarily. Doesn't mean they wont take the opportunity to score if it presents itself.

Another thing that is important to know is that football isnt the number on sport in Osarius. Its second, to GraviBall. Football isnt violent enough, see. And on that note, footballers are loved if they make tough tackles, because the combative nature of the game is what the fans like. Sooo... basically, if you're not scoring goals or making crunching tackles, the fans aren't impressed. That goes for opponents too... Osarian fans always appreciate a good tackle (although they will boo their goals, obvs).

From time to time I'll make reference to the area a player is from, and when I do, I will try to add an OOC note to explain what it means.

As a general rule though...
People from Ikuturso are crazy and violent (and usually have weird, extreme religious beliefs)
People from Tubriss are conniving (and violent)
People from Fourge are pretty simple, but tough as nails (and love to fight)
People from Applegrass are ... rural ... if you get my meaning.
People from Mount Crown are stuck up (but will still beat the crap out of foreigners)
People from Hearthlands are vain (and if you mess up their looks... pray)

Osarians also view Kryosi people as dumb, crazy and just ... well, they generally hate them.
Eristiceans are simply not to be trusted, and although most people have never met a Callistean woman (the Queen is Callistean, btw), they are supposedly all incredibly beautiful (the Queen is).
Oh, and they think Aquillish people are... those nice but dim island folk who are practically Osarian.

Other foreigners... they tend to be pretty polite towards, though. Often very curious about different cultures, too.

Manager: Benedict di Corradi
The 52 year old is still outspoken, but less-so. He is still a statistics buff, and prone to convoluted explanations of his oft-over-complicated analysis. Although, that said, he tends to have an uncanny ability to bring out the best in his players most of the time. That might be something to do with his intimidating presence, though. He's not a big guy, but he just commands respect. The players call him "Don Bene" - when he isn't looking - and allegedly let him win at scrabble, because he gets "cranky". Despite his disciplinarian traits at times, di Corradi is actually a very caring boss, and shares close relationships with several players. He also allows several non-players who are not a part of the backroom staff, to travel with the team sometimes - most notably, Roberto Cormega.

Assistant Managers: Roberto Barzaglione and Giorgio Cassetti
As di Corradi's oldest friends, and outstanding players in their own right, its not hard to understand why they are the manager's assistants. Barzaglione tends to be the grounding influence, keeping di Corradi calm - well, as calm as is possible with the hotheaded Fourgian - while Cassetti tends to be the more compassionate man, acting as a bridge for fringe players or those too intimidated by the big man himself. Each man has specialised skills, too, which assist di Corradi in his role. For example, Barzaglione is an expert tactician and a respected talent scout. Cassetti is a set piece master, and is well-known for his technical training. The two co-managed the team for several months of a world cup campaign in the past, when di Corradi was kidnapped, so the players certainly respect them deeply.

Coaches: Elissa Barca-Carthy, Donovan MacLean, Maurice Simmons, Jeffrey Allen, Gerald Cole
The influence of Elissa Barca-Carthy - formerly a head of programme at the national football academy - has slowly been growing over the past few years. Her highly-regarded talent for coaching defenders has not gone unnoticed among the board of the OFA, who have made subtle criticisms of di Corradi's reckless attitude and overly offensive style. Barca-Carthy was permitted to take control of the national team for a short while, when the OFA and di Corradi had a falling-out over entry to a tournament in Cassadaigua. Donovan MacLean's influence has waned during the same time period, but he retains loyalty from several first-teamers, on the strength of his organisation skills. His coaching tends to focus on positioning, and the Osarians' fluid attacking style owes a lot to the solidity of the players behind them. Simmons, Allen and Cole are all former colleagues of di Corradi's from his short time at Firewood fifteen years ago, and they not only coached him during his career, but worked extensively with his mentor, Geert Bakker. Their presence was one of the terms di Corradi presented to the OFA before accepting their contract offer, claiming that they would help him to do the job "the right way". By this, it is assumed that he wishes to coach in a manner Bakker would have approved of.

Specialist Coaches: Onyibo Oduoza (goalkeeping), Claudio Traga (fitness)
Oduoza once trained under the now-legendary Enzo Corradini at Hollybrent, and is credited with turning Orlando Florian into the legendary keeper he became. A cerebral man, Oduoza sometimes employs strange methods to bring out the best in his charges, and to develop vital skills. Few can argue with his results, however. Traga, on the other hand, is perhaps best known among sports fans back home for his past career as a Boxer. Upon retirement, Traga's love of sport led him to study sports science at Utica University, where he learnt to combine his boxing experience with science know-how to develop fitness regimes for professional sportsmen (and women). His system, The Lightstrike Method, is used in most professional sports clubs in Osarius as a major part of training, particularly during the off-season.

Medical Staff: Daniel Chambers (physiotherapist), Dr. Sarah Bocchetti (team doctor)
Chambers and Bocchetti are also old friends of di Corradi's who he trusts implicitly. Chambers helped to rehabilitate di Corradi's left knee after his severe injury toward the end of his career, while Bocchetti is an old classmate, whose adive was a major factor in di Corradi's decision to hang up his boots.

There have been some notable changes from the World Cup squad, with Benni Watson injured, and several players out as a precaution. Postby Landau Institute » Wed May 18, 2011 8:59 am

The Institute accepts the invitation, and the roster is below:

Once again, the researchers of the Landau Institute are using the squad to make more and more experiences. Since the Institute is looking to rebuild itself after being destroyed during the ongoing Eternal War of Estresse Intenso, they have accepted an offer from beverage companies to make a research involving them. This way the companies will receive some media exposure, while the issue being experienced isn't an useless one: it involves the effect of the alcohol in the human body and the different reactions that different people may have with different drinks. They asked for volunteers, and a group of friends filled most of the spots, with the other ones being taken by other people living in the area. They will not only have to play football, but also follow the instructions given to them. So, the researchers, who will be the coaches of the squad, put some rules to be followed by the Institute players during the competition:

* each player pointed out their favourite alcoholic beverage, which couldn't be the same of a team mate. Only beer was accepted to be chosen as favourite drink by two different people
* each player also noted which team mate they prefer to drink with, and once again they couldn't repeat another player's choice
* players were also asked to reveal other possible addictions
* before each match, all of the players have to decide between drinking a can of beer or a glass of their favourite drink. Even the ones on the bench
* if they receive a card, the player has to drink a glass of the referee's favourite drink
* if an Institute player receives a red card, all the other Institute players have to drink a glass of a beverage chosen by their opponents' captain
* if an opponent receives a red card, the Institute players can drink a glass of their preferred drink, or a cocktail
* a missed penalty kick of the Institute forces the penalty taker to drink a glass of a drink chosen by the opponents' goalkeeper
* if the opponents score a goal, every member of the Institute squad has to drink a glass of the preferred drink of the goalscorer
* if the Institute scores a goal, the goalscorer has to drink a glass of the assist maker's favourite beverage, and vice-versa. The others drink a can of beer
* during a substitution, the player entering the match has to drink a glass of the substituted player's favourite drink
* after each 15 minutes, the player with the lowest performance has to drink a glass of the best performing player's favourite drink
* no player may stay on the pitch in really bad conditions; the health situation of the player is the top priority, even above the studies
* water will be available for the players during the entire match
* opponents will be encouraged to play under the rules, but don't have to do it

The Institute may also decide to force the players to play under some specific conditions, for the purpose of the studies:

* beer can be forbidden during a match: any situation that includes drinking a can of beer is substituted by drinking a glass of a specific beverage
* players can be asked to drink double in all situations during a single half, and drink nothing on the other half
* players can be forbidden to smoke: this can be very bad for some members of the squad who are deeply addicted and feel an urge to smoke when drinking
* the Institute can, on purpose, change some beverages for others, or even for water, without the knowledge of the players
* the Institute can freely adjust the quality of the drinks available: from the worst to the best, depending on their humour
* players can be asked to, in situations which they'd usually drink their favourite beverages, drink the preferred ones of their team work preference or of the player who chose them as their team work preference
* all beverages may be changed to less known ones, more specifically traditional ones of the nations they're visiting
* the players may be asked to shout something every time they touch the ball: this to analyze the changes in their attitudes
* the Institute can stop the experiment if the team desperately needs to get a result, or if the nation the team is in forbids alcoholic drinks
* the Institute can exchange all the drinks noted by the players for specific cocktails

Some expected performance reactions:

* every time a player drinks his favourite drink or the one of his/her teamwork preference, morale goes up
* every time a player drinks something that is similar to his/her favourite drinks, the morale grows up a little (an example is the duo rum/cachaça)
* beer has no major effect on morale, unless the player has beer amongst the favourite/teamwork beverages
* if a player drinks something different than his/her preferences, morale goes down
* the player details (bio) show some specific preferences/dislikes that can be used in these cases by the RPers
* since rarely the entire squad will follow the same preference, having to drink something ordered by opponents will harm practically the entire squad's morale
* a single player may end getting extremely motivated during a game, and he'll likely put a very good performance; the opposite case is also possible
* the goalkeeper Provo will never lower her morale, unless when forbidden of smoking

Now to the list of players:

Starters:

1- Divara Provo
Favours: whisky
Goalkeeper of the team because of her high resistance and flexibility. Of course, this in reference to drinks, not to footballing ability, so we have no idea why they chose her to be the actual goalkeeper. But, being promised to receive a good amount of money to buy alcoholic drinks and cigarettes in exchange for good footballing performances, you can expect good matches from her. As she can drink anything, even the ethanol you find in gas stations, she has good compatibility with all the other players, and will have no problems in resisting all the possible tests being implemented by the Institute doctors. Has also addiction for coca-cola and cigarettes, at least, but none of those serve as substitutes for alcohol, neither alcohol serves as substitute for them.
Teamwork preference: brandy with Lochado

3- Estephane Drado
Favours: champagne
Has contact with just a few of the players of the current squad, but it doesn't mean that she has less familiarity with the Landau Institute tests: by the way, she is one of the people who have applied to join the experience in order to receive some free drinks. She will stay closer to Provo during most of the match, as she has strong bonds with her. She may have problems with the heaviest drinks.
Teamwork preference: whisky with Provo

4- Gabriel Moute
Favours: gin
Very excited in participating in such an experience, you can expect Moute to attempt to go forward in many opportunities in order to have some chances at extra shots or glasses of beer, even though he is just a central defender. Very enthusiastic, will fight a lot for every ball, and sometimes with too much excitement, so he can make some naive mistakes one time or another. In the end, he makes a good trio with Drado and Boreiner: while the first is the sweeper and the second will be the most solid defender, he is the one who will move freely towards the midfield. Also smokes cigarettes.
Teamwork preference: absinthe with Sermillón

5- Miguel Boreiner
Favours: liqueur
Boreiner isn't really someone who drinks a lot in a small period of time, although he tends to keep drinking all night. So, he has some good resistance that can help him in the Institute's experiences, but not when he is asked to drink too much at once, so he is one of the players in danger of having to be substituted earlier in the match. He plays quality football, which is not the rule in this squad, so most of the defensive duties will be his responsibility. As a last note, he also smokes cigarettes, and a lot of them, but is willing to stop: so, he will feel motivated at the beginning of the alcohol-only matches, but may feel badly later.
Teamwork preference: cider with Freghi

2- Hector Sabad
Favours: rum
A player who only engages in heavy drinking when followed by team mates, Sabad won't have problems in keeping himself away from the bottles, and also will find it easy to participate in the experiences. The most curious characteristic of Sabad is that he isn't a fan of beer, so will prefer practically any other drink instead of it. More than this, he will also prefer to make moves with players that enjoy the same drinks he do, even if others are in better positions. As happens with Provo, will probably do fine in any test, and has no addictions: perhaps the one that gets closer to this situation involves sweets.
Teamwork preference: tequila with Ayenez

6- Caroline Larine
Favours: wine
A player who enjoys drinking one thing or another everyday, Larine is prone at spending her entire salary only on alcoholic beverages. So, the opportunity of drinking without having to spend attracted her. Unfortunately, she is a heavy consumer, so if she isn't spending on drinks, she will be spending on other things, which is very bad for her financial situation. That's why she was promised a good bonus if she does a good job in the competition, and this will be her main source for motivation in the matches. Smokes cigarettes.
Teamwork preference: gin with Moute

7- Gabriel Guenha
Favours: beer
Although he isn't the only one who favours beer over any other drink, Guenha is the one who has a true fascination for them, an obsession. You bring him a beer, he'll know the exact details of the same. This puts him in a situation in which he will not feel so comfortable when he has to drink another beverage, something that will often happen during the competition. A funny player, no player will avoid making moves with him.
Teamwork preference: vodka with Arilva

8- André Lochado
Favours: brandy
He once used to drink about anything, but made the decision to gradually slow down and now rarely drinks the strongest beverages. Even though they won't make a heavy impact on his condition, they will low his morale. Brandy and beer are the only drinks that he will enjoy drinking, although he will surely be one of the last players to get in a bad state due to the obligatory glasses. He also smokes marijuana regularly so, if there is something that can force him to leave the match, it will be this.
Teamwork preference: beer with Guenha

9- Tâmara Arilva
Favours: vodka
A calm player, has a good relationship with the other players and will not avoid any of the drinks, although she isn't used to all of them: some can affect her badly, and therefore she will be a candidate for substitution during the matches. Also enjoys eating a lot, even though she is pretty thin. In comparison with the other offensive midfielder Brahah, she will be the one who will attack less, using more her passes to help her team mates.
Teamwork preference: beer with Drache

11- Victor Brahah
Favours: cachaça
Poses as the serious member of the squad, and will never reveal his intentions of receiving free drinks, but they are actually the reason why he had volunteered for the experience. Brahah will put a real effort to help the team in the football level, without thinking much on the rewards or punishments, and this can be crucial for the good performance of the Landau Institute team as a whole. However, when playing teams with women on the squad, he will spend a lot of time trying to invite the player, or players, to a dinner.
Teamwork preference: sherry with Bonds

10- Alessandra Ayenez
Favours: tequila
Perhaps the most enthusiastic player in the whole squad, Ayenez's role as the lone squad fits with her intention of, not only helping the Landau Institute squad to reach the World Cup, drinking as much as possible. As her feelings change drastically under effect of the alcohol, you can expect the most different reactions from her depending on the amount drunk. Her tequila preference is not shared by many players from the team, so she'll have a group more prone at making assistances for her to score goals: they may be enough to make her the top goalscorer of this Institute team. With her beauty, she may also distract opponents, especially when drunk. Also smokes cigarettes.
Teamwork preference: wine with Larine

Substitutes:

12- André Minsone
Favours: sake
Actually, Minsone avoids drinking, so he is a very interesting subject for such an experience. So, the position more suitable for him ended being the one of substitute goalkeeper, where he would not harm the team: he'll only participate in small matches if the Institute is doing well in the group, as in other situations Provo will never be close to being substituted.
Teamwork preference: mead with Riberten

13- Bruno Freghi
Favours: cider
Freghi does not have problems with drinking, but he is not really used with this. Since he is a bit overweight, his presence in the Landau Institute team is to check how much the weight affects someone during alcohol ingestion. He will probably receive plenty of playing time, since his quality as a footballer is considered to be even better than Drado's ou Moute's.
Teamwork preference: rum with Sabad

14- Leandro Riberten
Favours: mead
Has some rivalry with Brahah, but curiously they are similar in some attitudes: Riberten will begin with a more serious attitude and will tend to flirt with female opponents when drunk. As for drinking, he is a typical person: not strong, not weak, and without really serious preferences or dislikes apart from the ones mentioned. Won't receive much playing time.
Teamwork preference: champagne with Drado

15- Breno Fazim
Favours: arak
The Landau Institute researchers will handle Fazim's case with caution. They will think twice before sending him to the pitch during a match, because he tends to be really aggressive and we could even say insane after drinking. Fazim also has a serious drug addiction, this being the reason why he is a Landau Institute patient, the only one of the whole squad.
Teamwork preference: sake with Minsone

16- Barbie Drache
Favours: beer
She is a friend of most of the other players in the squad, since all of them volunteered for the experience together, but usually does not go out to the bars with them or parties. Due to her preference at staying home, she may be less resistent to the experiences of the Institute, and this is the reason why she was selected as a substitute for the squad.
Teamwork preference: cachaça with Brahah

17- Ciano Sermillón
Favours: absinthe
Sermillón is not the same case as Fazim, actually is a very different one. But the scientists show the same worry with him, due to him being likely to exceed himself. He entered this squad wanting to drink everything and experiment everything, so he is one to quickly enter then leave the match due to his excesses. So, Sermillón will rarely be put on the match.
Teamwork preference: arak with Fazim

18- Gerald Bonds
Favours: sherry
A fine football player, the disadvantage of substitute striker Bonds is the fact that he has more than fifty years of age, which forces him to be only a substitute option rather than an absolute starter. He drinks only ocasionally, so he wouldn't be able to handle with the demands the starters will be put under. Smokes cigars.
Teamwork preference: liqueur with Boreiner
