Minotzia wrote:"Zhalinkov. Boris Zhalinkov. I'm the foreign policy adviser to President Malashenko," he answered, taking up the Arcadian president's hand. "I mainly want to discuss, as I'm sure you can guess, economy. You see, Minotzia has a lot of market potential, but very little capital and very little in the way of capital management. A nation like yours has boundless opportunity and nearly endless capital, but you need natural resources and new markets. Everything meshes quite readily; what we need to do is just provide that first push. That's what I want to talk about though, getting things off the ground."
12 Hours Prior
"Mr. Zhalinkov..." A female voice carried lightly through the plane's speaker system, rousing Boris from his state of quasi-consciousness and into reality. Sitting up in his seat, he moved the laptop from his lap onto the adjoining chair. "Mr. Zhalinkov please report to the cabin, there is a call coming through on the secure line." Boris cursed under his breath and moved up through the plane. There were only a handful of people with access to that line, and only one would be interested in bothering him during a flight.
"Yes, Adrik, what is it you want?" said Boris while rubbing his temples.
"I've got some news that might impact the summit, it concerns the state of our economy," said the vice president in a hurried manner.
"Well come on then," Boris said, "let's have it."
"The World Assembly just passed a resolution; I was so caught up in the budget ordeal that I neglected to remember that the vote was supposed to come through today. Thing is..." he said with a bit of worry in his voice,"The thing is that they've banned offshore drilling for all intents and purposes. Our petrol production just dropped 46%. We're sinking here, and we've got no relief coming. We need a deal Boris, or else we're done."
Boris sighed and set the phone down on a nearby counter. It was a big problem, no doubt, but then Adrik was always caught up in the melodrama of things. Picking it up he stated with resolve,"Look Adrik, we can pull through this no sweat. Have the modifications to the platforms done out of the government pocket and reassure investors that it's a temporary setback. We might be out of operation for a few months, that's all, and in the meantime we just stall them. Promise a reduction in corporate tax as a part of the budget revisions. Do whatever. Just make sure that you put on an air of confidence and control. The last thing we need is our biggest investment in energy falling out on us during an international economic summit."
"Right, I'll do that. Well whether or not I can keep them stalled is still up to you Boris, pull through up there and we're guaranteed business confidence for at least as long as we need to make the modifications to the offshore rigs. Good luck."

"Yes it's nice to have no hostilities between anyone, and it's even better to have such a fantastic opportunity for growth."
Rachael then looked at the Solarvan delegate, nodded again, and smiled.
"If I were to tell both of you the full story behind Ketrily, I would probably bore you to death; so I'll just say the basics. We're an island nation, with Libertarian principles backing it. Up to 50 years or so ago, it was more of an Authoritarian Democracy, then old John Kirtley got elected giving no taxes or regulation to business, political and civil freedoms began to exist, our economy boomed, and voilà."
"The only problem I see came along after his election is the crime, degenerates trying to claw some money by force. The only other issue is everyone claims we are an Anarchy... Which gets on our nerves."
"My goodness, I'm babbling like an idiot! I'm intrigued by both of your nation's, I know the basics, but not much more than that."

Polythinia wrote:"Of course, Mister Witte. My government has strong feelings over the issue of us developing nations, and would be delighted to have some sort of leverage for economic growth in this congress; you might want to speak to several other delegates to build something of a developing powers coalition..."
The Overlordy wrote:Nearly all of the Overlordians were just about done with their meals, ready to walk off and converse with some delegates. However, by chance, one of the delegates from Sylent was making her way over to their table. And wisely assuming she was coming to talk, they stayed where they were sitting. Waiting for the delegate to come over and start the conversation. They agreed, however, that maybe Fullip and Portal should split up and try to discuss other matters with the other delegates. Spread their conversations and such. However, first they should properly great the woman who came over. Who introduced herself as Kristina Ty, the Minister of Finance in the Republic of Sylent. Standing up, Lulukien put his hand out to shake her.
“Lulukien Vin Yorgale, Overlord of the Empire of the Overlordy.” He replied back. “This is Tropek Rudfesht, out Military man, his partner Barboren, Fullip Xodem and his wife Lei, and Portal La’Port, our Technologies Adviser.” He went on.
Sitting down, he offered a seat to her, for a moment rotating his right hand.
“So, where do you wish to begin?” he asked, rotating his right hand again before calming. They would have suggested an idea, but not knowing the nation well enough, they didn’t know where to begin.

Sylent wrote:Having entered the luxurious banquet hall, Marco Wu ambled alone towards where the coffee would be. The speeches had really tired him and he was keen to escape from the Minister of Finance Kristina Ty. She was most definitely fuming over the lack of a speech from him and would have probably launched into a verbal tirade in the midst of so many delegates from across the world. Definitely a no-no for Sylent's image, though to be honest most probably haven't even heard of their small country. Thankfully, his ever reliable deputy Alfred Witte gave the suggestion the three of them separate and try to meet as many foreign delegates as possible to find out what were their views and stances. And of course try and develop potential friendly relations, definitely economical ones to revitalize Sylent's none too stable economy after years of isolationism.
As Marco maneuvered across the sea of delegates, he noticed the table with the Chrobaltans. Seizing the initiative without any particular reason save knowing Chrobalta was one of the many economic superpowers present in this summit, he walked over and introduced himself to who he thought would be the leader.
"Sorry for interrupting your discussion honored delegates from Chrobalta, I'm Marco Wu, Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Sylent. Mind if we talked?" he asked while smiling.
"I hope you've heard of us" Marco jokingly said to try and break the ice.

Sephilia nodded, her arms across her chest as she thought of a few words to say. "The Amalgamate, for better or for worse, is an accumulation of city-states acquired through settlement, war, land purchases, or any combination of either. We're governed by the Tsellian, a religious faith pertaining to the Enkur. Generally, that's the main features of us, and I'm sure our Solarvan friend has much more exciting things to say about both us and the Solarvans in generally." She winked at Ka Hung, smiling.
"We were at war once, and I'm surprised we finished relations most amicably."
