Byzantine Views of the Khazarian Khanate hit a record low
Constantinople- The average byzantine view of the Khazarian Khanate has hit a low of 20% favorable. With the no show by the Khan in the Emperors proposed meeting in Constantinople to deal with the fallout between Khzaria and Byzantium. The slow movement from the Khzarian government to move to improve relations is seen as the major reason why the Byzantine government has continuously vote down the proposal to invite the Khanate into the CYA. Should Khazaria wish to join the CYA then they must first recognized Armenia independence.

Armenia slowly rebuilding
Yerevan- While no offical treaty has been put into place between the new Kingdom of Armenia and the Khazarian Khanate. At this time two Armenian cities are still under Khazarian control. The countries economy and nation has begun to be rebuilt with the help of the Byzantine Empire. The Byzantine Government has also been helping rebuild and rearm the Armenian military and is currently building it around the Byzantine Volunteers who went to help the Armenian military in the war against Khazaria. While the Khazarian Khanate has declared the war to be over the proposals for peace from the Armenians have fallen on deaf ears.

When the Netherlanders have a polder model...

Postby Herargon » Tue May 31, 2016 2:33 pm

The Netherlandic Reforms

Now that the soldiers had taken both Belgium and Luxembourg and restored the war-torn regions by rebuilding famous landmarks, monuments, but also normal houses, the national focus shifted towards another aspect: the provinces.

Originally, there were twelve provinces in the Netherlands. After the conquest however, this number has changed significantly.

The map of the provinces as they are now (second picture)

New plans have arisen to redistribute municipalities and provinces. The thought is that with these changes, the Netherlands' provinces will, on overall, experience less problems and dilemmas, and thus will be far more able to trade with the foreign world.

Proposed reforms include:
• Changing 'provinces' into 'gewesten'*. These 'gewesten' or regions are to be ruled by a stadtholder, which has the mandate to govern the region.
• Merging some provinces into a larger place, so there are now actually seventeen provinces; Current proposal
• Giving more responsibility towards municipalities and regions, or in other words: devolution.
• Setting up linguistic regions to prevent conflicts from arising.

These proposals however have received big critical sounds from all over the lands.
One criticism is that it is not the number of provinces that is important to make a country name look nicer, but about the practicality of merging, its benefits and drawbacks. Won't some provinces become too powerful and overrule other provinces?
Another criticism comes from political scientists; they doubt the linguistic regions will solve conflicts. Instead, they propose a bigger autonomy for these linguistic minorities through devolution, on the conditions that Dutch still is official in these places as well; and furthermore, that the autonomy is not to be too big nor too weak, as to prevent a strong national identity from forming.

These differences are primeval and pronounced, lest they not be solved soon, they will grow - and therefore action is needed to take.
----

* Literally: thou-wests. You could use a term close to its meaning: swath-share, or 'swaþshare', which roughly has the same connotation and meaning as the Dutch word 'gewest'.

The Netherlandish Edhuing
Now that the wyemen had taken both Belghland and Littleburgh and ednewed the war-torn landships by withbuilding wellstanding landmarks, headstones, but also mainstream houses, the folkly lodestar shifted towards another beholding: the landshares.

Firstly, there were twelve landshares in the Netherlands. After the overwin however, this rim has frothered weightily.

New layouts have uprisen to edbreat meanthes and landships. The thought is that with these switches, the Netherlandish landships will, on overall, undergo less hitches and twoth-choses, and thus will be far more dowed to trade with the outlandish world.

Forthsaid edhuings inhold:
• Shifting 'landshares' into 'swaþshares'. These 'swaþshares' or landships are to be ruled by a steadholder, which has the lofty behest* to lead the landship.
Melding some landshares into a larger berth, so there are now wittedly seventeen landshares.
• Giving more self-upstandingness towards meanthes and landships, or in other words: netherwinding.
• Setting up speech landships to forestall clashes from uprising.

These forthputs however have thedged big scathings from all over the lands.
One undersaying is that it is not the rim of landshares that is weighty to make an ethel's name more cweme, but about the earthyness of melding, its foredeals and afterdeals.** Won't some landshares become too strong and overrule other landshares?
Another undersaying comes from mootish witshippers; they qualm that the reardish landships will loosen clashes.
Instead, they put forth a bigger selfstandishness for these reardish lessernesses through netherwindling, on the foreworthes that Netherlandish is still ambightly*** in these berthes as well; and furthermore, that the selfstandishness is not to be too big nor too weak, as to hinder a strong theidish selfhood from shaping.

These undersheddings are hoary and swettled, lest they not be uploosened****, they will grow - and therefore deed is needed to take.

Old English (OE) 'belgan' does mean 'to be angry'; found on the wiki article regarding the Belgae.(Anglish words that change the text, with the exception of wordroots and/or already as such marked words, are marked with an italic notation.).
If you want to know the Anglish equivalent of a word.
And the English equivalents of Anglish words: there they are.
* 'Lofty behest' is a self-made word in Anglish. There was no existing alternative to 'mandate', so now there is.
** Drawback is a fully English word and thus acceptable, but does not rhyme well with 'foredeals'.
*** Ambightly is a self-made Anglish word. It means 'official'.
**** Self-made as well. It means 'solved'.

Report:

The Process of the remaking is now 57% complete. The process has been met with some discontent people, who have been offered a move to a small outer region that should generally remain untouched by the remaking. This region accounts for about 2% of the land in Crystaline Utopia, and will house all of the people who wish not to live by the way of life that the Remaking expects them to live like.
In a conference earlier this week, a group of other ethnic minorities of Crystaline Utopia have stepped forward to ask for plots of land to exemplify their culture. The largest group seems to be representing East Asia (China, Japan, Korea). The government has allowed for digital plans to be made and shared with the Secrétaire d' embellissement utopique.

Netherlands and Albion: A Trade Offer?
Brussels - a diplomatic offer has been sent to the United Kingdom of Albion to open trades and exchange goods.
The Premier found that he had to come into action and said: 'That this may bring us a most splendid day... that our countries would come closer in terms of ties. Our international position and orientation would benefit this.'

New Museum Opened in Veenlo
14 July, this year, a new museum has opened in the centre of Veenlo, after it had been renovated.
The Leerconste ende Tentoonstellinghe der Oudheydkundigh Historie, or the 'Tentoonstellinghemuseum', Exhibition Museum, as it's called, has received a festitive welcome of Her Majesty. ''Whilst we hope that this museum will bring many a visitor, this reckons a new golden era for historics'', said Adriaen H.W. de Clerck, the owner of the museum. ''The only thing waiting is a statue from the third century, ought to be the possible remaints of Celtic arts in the Roman Netherlands.''

Brawl in Leeuwwarden
Late in the evening, a fight broke out amongst two men when it was found out that one had stolen the family's beer from the other. When friends became involved, police had to be called and arrived after an hour. As a result, fourteen men were sent to the warder's cell and had to spend the night in jail until their wifes came to pay the bailout.

Wallonians unsatisfied about status quo: demands for a quicker solution

From left to right sitting: Jacob Vandenjaeger, former Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simon Heertens, Louis Dubois, and Jan Gerbrandy, our Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In Brussels, diplomatic negotations about the linguistic situation and provinces are still underway for so long that the former government of the Wallonians have spoken out against the slowness and bureaucracy. ''This is an unacceptable insolency. During Napoleon we were liberated from the Austrians, and now have to spend our time talking and buggering the cheeseheads about our status. When will this finally be solved?''
Other people in the Southern Netherlands have reacted laconically. '' I'm used to the bureaucracy. Not that I am not curious whether they'll break records for government negotations, though.'', said a Brabantian man from the province Antwerp.
Another commented similarly: 'If we have to choose between losing a war again and long stupid government negotations, then the latter is better. Maybe one day the long negotations will be on such a grand scale as the whole of Europe', said J.F. Ghaëls, a prominent Flemish writer.

The free land of Ostrian is founded after refugees fled and settled. Their status is neutral, but they know that war will come.
