I agree with the above. There has been a lot of OOC bitching and moaning by players in the thread that I won't name (you know who you are), and to them, I say the following:

Lol, I know this partly directed at me, because I have been a little bitch. Apologies, no more bitching from me, you can count on that.

Let this be a swift kick in the ass for all of us, I think. We can all do better, I believe, at taking what we dish out IClly.

Yep.

I fully agree. Commit or don't. As long as actions that take my people out of the game are RP'd well or just not godmodded, I'm fully ready to throw every last Hutanjian on the fire if it carries the story through. I realize that I am the outsider in this, but my people are a long way from home and on what is quickly becoming the underdog side in the fuller regional picture. If we lose, we are going to go down in fully glory doing it.

I'm not sure how much of this pertains to myself, I know that I can give a hard time about IC things occasionally but I always try to play the game to the best of my ability, obey the rules and consequences, and have a fun time even when IC things come close to the fire. I say forge ahead with what you have Edom, and leave the rest in your wake. I know that you won't do whatever you want at the expense of realism or the rules of the game, so I'm raising my sails and going along for the ride.

Let in be stated for the record that the following individuals were present at the funeral, from The Free Colony of Schottia:

Cllr The Reverend Marc Gannen. National Treasury Council Leader.

His Wife
Reverend Lucy Gannen

Ian Martin. Ambassidor to New Edom

Let it be assumed that all of them conducted themselves properly while they were there and showed all due respect and etiquette.

In the spirit of NSsport, my RP permission is that you may say you interacted with them in any way except killing them.

The funeral march and liturgy in cathedral have begun. People who want to say a few remarks may do so.

Speeches will be vetted. The following will not be permitted:

1. Insulting remarks about the President, his family, or the royal family.

2. Insulting remarks about the national religions of New Edom.

3. Remarks which could be construed to be provocative with the intent of influencing New Edomite foreign policy.

Hi all, I just wanted to do one last double check before I landed the Hutanjian reinforcements, as it's a pretty big convoy of air transports and will mean a big boost to the pro-Jocasta forces.
Although doing so would mean breaking the truce, would anyone try to attack them, or intimidate/threaten them, either with AA, fighters or with fleet air defense?
I'm specifically asking anyone besides New Edom (He gave me his okay), who might have forces around Harbourtown or Gloria Regis, as they will be flying directly in between the two towards Fineberg.

Cacertians wouldn't do anything to break the truce. You won't have to expect anything from them.

I have a question, Ngol. Did you send this entire force all at once by airlift?

Which force exactly? The original RCT was there ICly before the thread started, on training maneuvers. Arrived via sea.

The current incoming forces are being airlifted, yes. Via two friendly base stopovers, as well as airborne refuelers. They will have minimal heavy ordnance and vehicles with them, Mostly personnel. The third final wave is by ship and still a few days out. it has the rest of the gear, vehicles and rotor support, plus the rest of the troops.
I'm on an iPod at work, otherwise I'd link the previous posts I made about that. I can do that when I get home later, as well as the ORBAT.

Per Edom's request, I'd like to declare the Empire's plan is to reconcile with Edom diplomatically, initially being neutral, with our views of Mara and Jocasta to be decided later. However, plenty of the Empire's people support the Feminists of Gloria Regis.

Once Ghant and I have done what we need to do (in regards to Guad, Ghant, if you read this), I shall post officially in the IC.

Sure, glad I could help.

So, I'm running out of time here today to do a post before work. It's close to done, but I don't want to rush it. A lot of RL stuff came up: car repairs, errands, helping with Girl Scouts...

I will say this, when the full force is in theater (all 3 waves), per what Pres. Hespatu told Princess Jocasta in this post; it will consist of:

  • 2nd Bn, 1st HAR (Rangers) (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
    - 1st Bn, 1st HAR (Rangers) (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
  • 1st Bn, 28th Mechanized Brigade (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
    - A & B Co, 2nd Bn, 28th Mechanized Brigade (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
    - C & D Co, 2nd Bn, 28th Mechanized Brigade (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • A Co., 3rd Bn, 18th Artillery Regiment (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
    - The Rest of 18th Artillery Regiment (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • 3rd Pltn, B Co., 144th Medical Battalion (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
    - The Rest of B Co. + C Co., 144th Medical Battalion (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
    - A Co., 144th Medical Battalion (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • 1st Bn, 46th Logistical Regiment (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
    - 2nd Bn, 46th Logistical Regiment (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • 1st Bn, 10th Infantry Regiment (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
    - 2nd Bn, 10th Infantry Regiment (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • 35th Infantry Regiment (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)
  • A & B Co., 148th Military Police Battalion (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
    - C Co., 148th Military Police Battalion (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)

Ground troops will see regiments & battalions broken up and broken down into 3 groups: 2 RCTs and a reserve force, or 3 slightly overloaded RCTs.

  • Elements of the 19th Air Support Wing (heavy lifters, air refuelers, 1x RCC Baron) (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
  • 6th Air Superiority Squadron (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
  • 7th Fighter Squadron (2nd Wave - Airlift Reinforcements)
  • 12th CAS Squadron (1st Wave - Initial Training Deployment)
  • 14th Rotor Attack Squadron (3rd Wave - Naval borne Reinforcements)

Hello folks! It seems the Revolutionary Union of Nerotysia shall be entering this thread, as New Edom has given his blessing. Essentially the Union has very little interest in the conflict on the mainland, as they don't much care which monarchist wins their little family feud, however they see in Gloria Regis the potential for a useful socialist ally and so will be throwing their support behind the separatists. The Union will probably like Mara's faction more, as they tend to be more progressive, but they will almost certainly not involve themselves directly on the mainland unless something major changes.

In any case I hope for some fun RP!
