Learn About Arcadia - The Sisters of Mercy
The Sisters of Mercy are the bodyguards and protectors of the Empress Eternal Ai Li-Hua I. Little is known of the internal structure of the Sisters of Mercy that has been confirmed, however from the information I have been presented with when requested I am able to set out this appendix to my book Journeys Through Arcadia, A Narrative of the Empire. The Sisters were originally a specialist military unit in the former Army of the Commonwealth which tested prototype and experimental technologies, equipment and tactics including cybernetic augmentations - during the Zerbecken however the unit vanishes from all records and is not mentioned again until the rise of the Empress Eternal herself. Led by the Canoness Zherucken who is also the Empress' senior religious advisor.

Each Sister of Mercy is either selected based upon their identical height and build, or heavily 'rebuilt' through the cyber-augmetic process so as to be the same size. I strongly suspect that the latter is true, for finding 240 young women of the same height and build and ensuring they retain this purely for cosmetic purposes seems highly unlikely, especially when one considers the extensive use of augmetics and cybernetics throughout Arcadian society. In any event the Sisters are armoured in some of the most advanced military grade infantry armour I have ever seen; if I were to hazard a guess I would say that they wear a fibremesh underlay with cybernetic interfacing nodes, over which a layer of overlapping and interlocking flexplate, flexalloy and and fibreplate segments which form the main body of the armour; over this they then wear augmented Cuirass, Faulds, Shoulder plates, Rerebraces, Vambraces, Gloves, Thigh plates, Greaves and Sabatons. This equipment is doubtless supported by intricate and complex networks of cybernetics and augmetics which enhance the physical and mental capabilities of the wearers; I was given the honour of being allowed to witness one of their training sessions and I must say that their prowess is beyond anything I have seen of an ordinary human.

The weapons the Sisters use are as advanced as the armour which they are clad in. The diversity of design is to be remarked upon; those on duty within the audience chamber guarding the Empress Eternal bear long polearms with a broad cleaving blade at its tip and a weighted ball at its base. Though undoubtedly effective as a melee weapon in the hands of the highly trained Sisters I suspect these are purely ceremonial and would be discarded in the event of an assassination attempt. The Sisters always carry a pair of pistols, one automatic and one heavy calibre pistol; though I have never seen both used at once. In addition they carry several throwing and combat knives secreted around their armour. Beyond the audience chamber the Sisters carry assault weapons of a design I have been unable to identify the design.

Multiple Embassies Proposed In Overseas Countries

To promote multiculturalism and foreign niceness, several embassies have been planned to be placed in overseas countries and empires around Yukon, with some planned in nearby countries and others on the other side.

The high council made an announcement today that infrastructure is being established around the ships of Nova Gartilivash, Nauatica, and Muertlavic. In political news, the Meritocratic Council of Muertla is being integrated into the Cyrellicish legislature as a third house. Muertla will maintain status as a sovereign province, and thus keep it's provincial laws, though all federal aspects are being united under the Cyrellicish legislature. SECRETARY OF STATE PUSHES FOR EMBASSIES AROUND THE WORLD
Secretary of State Meredith Tierney announced today that she plans to push for Airatanian embassies in countries around the world, including, by not limited to, Herargon, Unibearia, Arcadia, Zaphiron, and Onza. This comes in addition to reports that Secretary Tierney may be working behind the scenes with several countries to form a formal alliance, but so far, the State Department has made no official announcement.

REPRESENTATIVES INCREASE FUNDING TO DESOLAAS
The House of Representatives also voted today to increase aid to the Colony of Desolaas in the wake of the devastation there following that terrible outbreak last month. Additionally, the bill passed by the representatives gives President Ward the authority to continue aid efforts as she sees fit. Ward has said that Airatania will do everything it can to continue to aid the Desolaans in the midst of the crisis.

Important News brought to the world from the Presidential Administration of Croxoco:

- The Administration has confirmed that the President will sign the Herargon Neutrality Bill, which recognises the Neutrality of Herargon as stated by the Herargon Government, into law. The Bill was passed by the National Assembly 431 votes to 219 and by the Senate 94 votes to 56. The Administration also confirms that the President will formally propose to Congress legislation which will declare Croxoconian Neutrality in a similar manner to the declaration made by the Government of Herargon.

- The President, in compliance with the wishes of Congress, has formally summoned a constitutional convention, to answer the questions on which course the State should take. Among the constitutional issues facing the Republic are the debates surrounding federalism and devolution, the powers and roles of each branch of state, in particular, the role of the presidency and congress.

- The Curator of the Presidential Palace has confirmed that the Executive Office of the President will be moving its headquarters to the newly constructed offices located immediately east of the Palace Grounds. After the move, the Palace is to be refurbished and renovated, with the executive residence being redesigned, and the east and west wings being totally reconstructed. In the meantime, the President will have his residence and offices in the Republican Palace (which previously served as the presidential palace before the construction of the current palace). The renovations are expected to take two years.

- Major reforms of the executive branch are expected in the coming months, including the expansion of the Executive Office of the President, the Creation of a Palace Office to head the Executive Office of the President. In additon, the Government Departments and Agencies are also expected to be completely restructured and reorganised for greater government efficiency. Such reforms however will be postponed until after the approaching constitutional convention.

At the closing of the Council debates today, it was released that The Chivalrous Armed Republic has recognized all states on Yukon that wish to be recognized as individual Nation-States. Ambassadors have been sent to all nations, in hopes of establishing embassies. Moarfall has begun building embassies and receiving ambassadors on Yukon in Port Aren and in orbit upon New Babylon Station, which has already had it's business and political levels re-assembled.

On a side note, the reconstruction project of New Babylon has been delayed due to a "Biological Hazard" located in BioPreserve Dome 426. The Hanging Gardens has been declared Off-Limits on Penalty of Death. The hazard is to be contained and destroyed within the next month. Until which time, the station will be limited traffic to any besides construction crews and MSC forces.

Wolven Empire refuses to recognise Herargon's Neutrality


The Wolven Empire has made a decision to not recognise Herargon's demand of Neutrality. One of the main reasons for this decision is because the demand sent was of poor quality but also it had elements that would automatically count as Neutrality. Another reason for the refusal of the recognition is that Herargon has very poor civil rights that deny people of Herargon to have freedom of religion, spirituality and freedom of speech which if not followed will get them executed? Several inside sources say that people who deny to acknowledge the Emperor of Herargon as a demi-god or even worship him, are simply killed off. The same can be said about those who which to talk about the flaws of the state and want to show their frustration of the state, they too are just simply killed off? Until Herargon fixes these problems, the Wolven Empire will shut all communication, trade, flights and tourism to Haragon but also allow those who wish to refuge themselves from Herargon's tyrannical regime into Unibearia with Open arms.

HERARGON ACCUSED OF INHUMANITY, SAYS UNIBEARIA

ROVSTAD. The Unibearian government has accused Herargon of breaching human rights yesterday,
saying that Herargon does not offer people freedom to belief and speech.
This comes as an ironical surprise, and could even be deemed as a satirical response.
Since there are no accounts of people that have been unjustly executed for treason, Herargon cannot be deemed to be a rogue state; everyone gets the right to vote, and everyone gets the right to a fair trial.

A Senate member has reacted on this, saying that ''the Wolven Empire itself is a small, despotic tyranny that even has less civil rights than us. They refuse but to listen to primary freedoms such as the freedom of internal migration, freedom of association and freedom of basic needs.''

This statement is further supported by the fact that the 'Independent National Crime Research Association' (INCRA) has handed out documents to us regarding crimes that the national government has committed. ''Since the Wolven Empire has not paid tribute to victims of their crimes yet, while we have, they're setting a naive precedent for themselves'', spoke a member of the SPP, the Social People's Party.

And even from the most anti-monarchist wing of our nation, the Communist Party of Herargon, a voice could be heard, although strange.
''And they even made a text error while spelling our name... What a shame! It is that this prolete does not live in our nation, or else he would have been sent back to Unibearia now.''

The Senate will be debating tonight whether they will deport all Unibearians and Wolves - that are loyal to their country - back to Unibearia, or to let them be deported to camps for betraying our nation.

However, the Emperor already has stated that he will veto this decision. He reasoned this at evening, telling that ''the Unibearians are also sapient people, who can think and feel love, pain or loyality to our nation. These people need to be treated humanily. However, if the Wolven's government refuses to acknowledge our neutrality, they will be embargoed, and any possessions that all Unibearians have, or any goods that are from Unibearia that are in port will be confiscated. We already blocked the harbours for these ships. Be warned, for we don't like to be insulted."

Yesterday alone, a record of more than 820.000 Romans walked for the Emperor. It was the birthday of the Crown Princess, which has not been seen in public since a month ago. Many people were worried about her health and started praying.

Excerpt from Journeys Through Arcadia, A Narrative of the Empire by Archon Irylyn Malvos

The Route to Czerniy
The eastern provinces of Nova Asphodel and Nova Elysium are broad and expansive, as I travel along the new grav-line which runs from Thedes along the northern coast of western Isk with a more or less constant view of the Corallian Ocean to the north and the inland hills of this warm temperate region. The grav-line is very new, having been among the first of the infrastructural projects undertaken upon the Empire's colonisation of Yukon and it spans the whole nation. This said additional lines which run parallel to the initially constructed ones are under construction and as I travel along the line, even at the ultra high speeds of the grav-line trains, I can clearly see the awesome sight of thousands of manual labourers as they work with machines to build the much needed lines. From the southern windows of the train there is a broad expanse of land which has been cleared of foliage before the thick forest rises beyond. Much of the land here is choked with dense woodland which is heavy with shrubbery and undergrowth; with few large animals to form natural tracks or trails between the trees the forests lie largely unbroken and unchanged.

As the train proceeds I note the small settlements which have sprung up along the coast, each featuring its own small grav station; these have largely grown around fishing ports, fisheries and work stations for the grav-line construction teams. These settlements are aesthetically quite pleasing, with many of the structures built from the abundant local sand stone and timber; the towns tend to be built in tiers whith carefully constructed ring walls to protect the residents from the local wildlife. In some of these towns there are terraced ring farms which have arcing walls of taut fabric and clear screens around them lined with solar collectors; though visually striking and clearly most efficiently managed these farms utilise technologies which are millennia old; rice paddies are common, however the growth of wheat, corn, millet and barley is also common causing these towns and village to be varied in appearance as their fields have varying crops and thus have different colours. The pattern this leaves on the landscape is doubtless better witnessed from the sky, where they can be viewed fully and at length rather than in passing on the grav-line.

Of course the view is not one of unbroken forest dotted with the occasional town or village; much of the coast is in fact made up of jagged stone cliffs and the grav-line runs along either the top or along the face of these cliffs above the waters below; this means that the view is one of stunning verticality and I do not recommend gazing from the windows during these parts of the journey if you suffer from vertigo. Along these cliffs however Arcadian civilisation has made its mark already, with mining and quarrying facilities hugging the sides, quite literally built into the faces of these cliffs; huge machines hanging out into the sea mining the world's raw materials. The industrial scale of these facilities combined with the refineries and factories which accompany them is inspiring to say the least and these structures though far from natural in nature do make the the landscape all the more impressive. For the sections of the journey which took place during the night passing such places was all the more impressive, for the orange and turquoise glow of refineries, fabricators and reactors gave them a bright neon appearance which was quite striking against the total darkness of the untamed wilderness beyond their protective walls.

Of the Corallian Ocean I have this to say; I had not been alive when the Arcadian Commonwealth departed from Enkon and therefore had no first hand experience of the beauty of the open ocean, something which our history books tell us the old Commonwealth had in abundance. Nothing could have prepared me for the stunning azure waters which steadily fold into darker tones of navy blue as they rush off to the horizon; brightly coloured birds fly overhead constantly and one can see the movements of whales, dolphins and even flying fish in the distance. I will admit that the I enjoyed the appearance of elements of civilisation's impact on the ocean much less than I did that on land; the vast deuterium refineries and synthesisers which have been constructed along the coast to take advantage of the abundant supply of ocean water seem to spoil the natural beauty of so desolate a place. Great spires of black metal with pipes running down the sides into the waters below; a glowing energy core with dispersal points near the top of the structure to prevent overheating and overloads; even the jade and turquoise glow of the deuterium reactors built into some of them is not sufficient to offset the dark blight they present on an otherwise beautify seascape.

Reaching Czerniy was both a welcome experience and a paradoxically sad one; so much had I enjoyed the journey in the comfort of the grav-train, with the spectacular view of our earliest attempts to conquer this new world and its resources providing a source of constant entertainment and curiosity. As the grav-line approached the metropolis the trees thinned out and then gave way to vast areas of beautifully laid out and carefully cultivated farmland and pasture, broken only by to regular placement of enviro and agri-domes which provide much more concentrated sources of food. As with the great capital Thedes, the city looms ahead a series of sky scraping buildings and spires which steadily give way to sprawling suburban districts - however quite unlike Thedes the city of Czerniy is not made from white bondalloy, nor are its structures sleek with smooth edges. The buildings here are harsh and practical, built from untreated bondalloy and orichalcum supplemented by concrete and plaster; the beauty of the city is not in the clean progressive ideal which Thedes holds, but rather in the brutal efficiency and practicality of the place.

Wolven Empire responds to Herargon


When the rather humorous rage filled article that the Herargonian media released to the world, many Unibearians gathered up and urged the Unibearian government to respond.


While the Wolven Empire is not perfect, as no nation is, it at least does not kill it's own people because they do not want to worship a tyrant, at least the Wolven Empire does not threaten to throw foreign citizens into Concentration camps, at least the Wolven Empire allows it's people to criticize the state because without opinions of the people, the state can no longer give what the people need. Herargon has proved that it is no longer neutral, it has attacked the people of Unibearia by threatening to throw visitors into Concentration camps, how tyrannical.. But, what they do not realize is that there are no Unibearian ships or any Unibearians in Herargon because Unibearia currently has a closed border policy. Again, this proves that Herargon is willing to throw threats, rather extreme ones, out into the void and in response to this, the Unibearian nation has officially renounced it's recognition that Herargon is a sovereign state and does not recognise the tyrannical regime. A full embargo of Herargonian goods to enter the nation but also an embargo to ban any Unibearian goods from entering Herargon and closure of any diplomatic talks. We hope this will send a message that Tyranny is not accepted by the Unibearian nation.

Just recently, due to the amount of pressure from foreign nations, Vvarden has confirmed that Desolaas, once Tyvenia, and Herargon, to be neutral countries, although Vvarden condems Herargon's cruel and barbaric punishments like the removal of the spine and beating the victim with it.

Also, a Desolaas embassy is undergoing construction in New Erriel, for hopes of closer relations between Vvarden and Desolaas.

Also, the homosexual romance movie A Caisian Holiday has topped charts recently, becoming the 3rd most profitable movie in Vvarden ever. The film involves a romance between a Vvardeni and a Caisian and to make sure no racism is implemented by accident, Caisian film producers have also been working with the Director, along with a Caisian having the role of the Caisian to prevent accidental insult. The film is also currently being shown overseas in some countries.

Also, President Derrik has been administered to hospital after a slight lung infection. The President is stable but will be watched for development.

Republican Proposition 38509, a plebiscite proposed by pro-monarchist campaigners in the Republic of Croxoco, to grant emergency powers to the President to issue a new constitution, was successfully introduced to the populace as a referendum yesterday evening, after recieving the required 50 million signatures to issue a constitutional referendum. This comes in the wake of the summoning of a constitutional convention which is to assemble in the coming months. With polling now closed, after a record turnout of 88.2% of the electorate, the results have been counted, and were declared by the Congress of the Republic, in a special session of Congress, at 9PM this evening. The plebiscite took the following form and result:

A proposition to grant President William Hayes of the Republic of Croxoco emergency powers to draft and implement a new constitution for the Nation of Croxoco. Would the electorate approve a grant of full emergency powers, including the power to abolish the Constitution of the Republic and institute a new Constitution, to the same President of the Republic, to resolve the constitutional questions facing the Republic?

The Representatives and Senators of the Republic of Croxoco, in Joint Session of Congress Assembled, do hereby declare that President William Hayes of the same Republic is vested with full Emergency Powers to Govern the Republic, and to amend, abolish and replace the current Constitution of the Republic of Croxoco.

As a result of this plebiscite, which has been anticipated for some years now, President Hayes has been endowed with emergency powers, which amount to a de facto Autocracy, and is expected to use these powers to create a new constitution, subject in accordance with Constitutional Law, to ratification by plebiscite. The President is expected to reatain the Constitutional Convention to provide legal, political and constitutional advice on the nature and content of the new constitution. Archonate Urges World to Reconsider Herargon Neutrality
In a statement from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Archon Julian Ulrics, released today the Archonate of the Arcadian Empire has officially urged the nations of the world to reconsider their recognition of Herargon's neutrality. In a statement in many ways echoing the sentiments of the Unibearian government the Archonate laid out its reasons why the Empire would not be recognising Herargon's neutrality and why it has decided to urge other nations to reconsider their own recognition:

"It is my view, having reviewed the available evidence that I have been presented with, that Herargon's so called neutrality is nothing short of an attempt to divert attentions from their flagrant civil, political and human rights abuses. Methods of punishment and judicial practice in the nation are broadly to be considered barbaric, particularly when placed in comparison to the context of the Great Social Contract and this is something that the Archonate and Empire cannot in good conscience condone. Recognising Herargon's neutrality precludes any significant or meaningful action on the part of the international community with the intent of altering the situation within that country's borders, thus the Empire refuses to accept its neutrality."

"The legal basis upon which we reject Herargon's neutrality is founded upon a number of key principles in Arcadian social, moral and judicial practice. First, no nation which has entered into a state of war in such a manner as has Herargon cannot be considered neutral in a broader sense; as the Archonate deems their judicial practices, system of punishment and method of government to be both egregious and barbaric we cannot therefore accept that they are neutral in any real sense of the word. Further since we consider Herargon's government to be at war with its people we also consider them guilty of war crimes. Second, the statement of neutrality by Herargon is fallacious in nature as their government clearly has no intention of actually maintaining its neutrality in any sense as its threat of refusal to recognise those nations which do not accept its neutrality clearly demonstrates. Requesting recognition in the same breath as issuing threats is an inherent contradiction which the Empire does not accept."

Vvarden movie not being shown in New Toola?

New Toola - Many are now questioning New Toola over a movie titled "A Caisian Holiday" that is not being played in New Toola. While some have been able to obtain it from foreign nations, not a single theater is showing the movie in New Toola.

There have been many theories so far as to why the moview has not been playing. The government has not commented on this as the movie industry is a private industry. One theory is that the movie industry is run by many of the old generation of New Toolans. A trend has begun in the past decade with more and more New Toolans showing acceptance to homosexuals. While New Toola is still a very conservative nation, leading religious figures as well as unions have begun to sway the public's opinion on the issue. Many feel that the people who run the movie industry in New Toola are part of the older and less tolerant generations of the past.

Another major theory is that New Toola and Vvarden have been distancing each other in recent weeks. There have been rumors of Vvarden not responding to a request from New Toola to have a foreign dignitary go to their nation. People point out that Vvarden sent representatives to the funeral of Chief Elder Simmons which makes this theory unlikely.

Whatever the reasoning is, the majority of New Toolans will most likely not be seeing "A Caisian Holiday" anytime soon.

"Arcadia said what?" Lord Sol said in a display of surprise. The debate over Herargonian Neutrality had, for the third time in the last three meetings, been brought up by Lord Caim in the monthly meets of the Council of Nobility. Lord Caim has repeatedly voiced his distaste over the reports of the cruel handling of their citizens by their Emperor. Most of the Council, let in absentia of Lord Zaph by Lord Sol, have dismissed these rumors as lies spread by Herargonian dissidents. This time, Lord Caim had brought forth the report from Arcadia depicting a similar statement of that of the Wolfen Empire's statement a month before. At the last meet, the Council had decided to let the matter lie in content as the Unibearians decried Herargon's human rights and political freedoms. But for the Arcadians to also decry the southern Empire...

"I really have to say it again, Sol?" Asked a stout man in his late 20s, the noble known as Lord Caim. "The Arcadians have declared the Government of Herargoni at war with its people! We cannot let this go uninvestigated if two radically different countries have decried the same government."

Lord Caim paused as he- and the rest of the assembled nobility- watched Lord Sol stand up at his seat at the large circular table they all sat at.

"How do you know whether or not the things they hear aren't from enemies of the current regime? People from Herargon have entered our Empire before, spreading tales of cruelty and horror from Herargon, only to be found as regime dissenters and liars! We do not have a solid position to stand on to decry their policies on human rights or political freedoms. If we do investigate, it will be because we have hard proof of such actions being taken. Until then, our mutual neutrality will be preserved." Lord Sol sat down heavily, already weary of debating the same topic for the third time in as many meets. He motioned for the server to give him water, which the small woman did so with silent grace. As Lord Sol drank, Lord Caim started again.
"Lord Sol, surely you aren't blinded by-"

"Enough, Caim!" A raven-haired woman stood next to Lord Caim, dressed in a sparkling obsidian dress that both dazzled onlookers and hid her body expertly. It was Lady Weyr's favorite dress for formal events, and for good reason. "You speak and speak on this matter as if it were the Unibearians, not the Herargoni, were the ones abusing their people! It would be an entirely different matter if they were the ones in question; our honor would be besmirched then should that be true. But we are neutral, albeit with a trade agreement, with Herargon! The only ties we hold with them are that of trade and tourism. Both are easily revoked upon further investigation , but until we can see it firsthand, which I doubt they would let happen, then we have no voice or base to accuse them with!"

Sweating, Lord Caim tried to rebuff Lady Weyr's argument, only to be further interrupted by a gaggle of the other nobles. Outnumbered and defeated, Caim huffed and sat in his seat as the arguing voices started to die down. But even after all of that, Lord Caim still felt strongly that an investigation was necessary. Lord Sol noted this, and filed it away for later on, after the meeting. For now, at least, the Empire would continue on the neutral course for the foreseeable future.

[Vvarden]

Vvarden is said by many who carry its history to be a paradise of freedom and equality. That we came from Terra, from a small island in the Atlantic. That our flamboyant clothing and remarkable range of rights were blossomed on Terra. But this is wrong. Vvarden was not made on Terra.

But, to the word of the Grand Lord Illuminator, who has lived over 5000 years, we did not come from Terra. Vvardeni identify Terra as Earth, the breeding ground of humanity, but Terra was in fact a completely different world. This world was called Vvae, and was located about 5 light years away from Earth. It was settled by a small group of colonists, including the Grand Lord Illuminator, then a cyborg, who crashed unexpectedly when a solar flare knocked them into the planet.

Only seventy survived.

Those seventy bred and over hundreds of years, became the six main empires that dominated that globe, the Ashur-Dan, the Halamshirali, the New Chorroli, the Vokun, the Steppe Khans and the Vvardeni.
Each of these societies I will explore, and how the Vvardeni were a cut above the rest and how the Vvardeni, over 1000 years were the only ones left by the time of the beginning of the Great Migration, starting with the First Era.

The First Era

The First Era was the beginning, and happened a few hundred years after the crash, when primitive empires had formed and bickering city-states became empires.
The first to rise were the Old Chorroli, a small but strong empire with similarities to the ancient Earthen Egyptians and Romans (Not to be confused with the Herargoni). They were led by an Emperor named Aeres-Shali-Dan, who the Illuminator met when disguising as a magician, travelling around the globe to view what had prospered from just seventy colonists, and he described him to be:

…An immensely shouty man who was quite a bully but dazzled when I showed him “Magic”, those technologies from the spaceship. He feared me. Perhaps that was why he hired me as his wizard. He demanded constantly to learn the secrets, but the wonders of technology are not made for a simple warlord, especially guns and lasers and plasma. When the Khans sacked the capital, he fought till the end, strong but dim. So I set off, disguised as a traveller…

When the Steppe Khans raided the palace, the Illuminator left behind by accident, a single ancient musket. This was brought back to the Steppe Khans’ leader, a man named Salamander, who thought it blessed by gods. His weapon was passed down through generations and became a legend, a weapon that spouts flame. The last Steppe Khan leader of the original Salamander line, Golas, fought with this weapon at the battle of Rivas, where he was slain in what the Illuminator describes as:

...A triumphant sacrifice. The Vokun had them cornered against the cliff wall, which was too steep to climb and impossible to go around. Golas Salamander fired the Boomstick (As they called it) and many fell. He held it high shouting in his toungue “Alas-Gra Okuguun” meaning “You shall not take us while I live”
He fell a short while later as they let loose his arrows on him. Even as they got into his shoulder, stomach, chest and legs, he fought, battering them to death using the Boomstick as a club. Then he got on his knees and the leader of the Vokun, Vokun-Gaas-Baal, came forth. Just as Vokun was about to behead him, Golas used the boomstick as a shield, protecting him, yet cutting off the barrel. With his final, agonising breath, he fired, killing Vokun instantly, taking them both to their deaths...

The Vokun back then were a primitive type, and the Vokun Inquisitor, Vokun-Gaas-Baal, and then his successor, Vokun-Kaas-Baal, and then all his successors until the last, all wore a spacesuit from the colonist’s ship, painted black with a wooden mask. It was customary of the Vokun to wear masks, since the beginning, much like the Caisians of Enkon and Yukon. It is even speculated that when the Vokun left as Vvarden rose, in 3E 121, that they left and joined the Caisians, but no evidence of that exists.
Even though the Vokun were weakened, after the loss of Vokun-Gaas-Baal, his successor, Vokun-Kaas-Baal, still marched on, taking the Steppe Khan’s capital and scattering them to the winds. They wouldn’t appear again as a major force until 2E 435, when they took hold of the North March.

The Vokun then settled, slightly. They raided nearby tribes, waiting for a challenge, for someone powerful to kill. They needed that challenge, or else die. The Vokun leaders themselves were psychotic dictators, with executions and murder being commited in the Vokun lands. They were bloodthirsty, and often wore the skins of dead enemies. The 1st Era ended shortly after when a coup-de-etat left the empire without a leader.

Unibearia accepts embassies from around the World

After a rather lengthy delay caused by internal issues, The Wolven Empire accepts the embassy requests from Vvarden and Airatania. The Wolven Empire also wishes to establish Embassies inside these nations and also sends embassy requests to: Caisus, Thalmath, Cyrellican, Onza, Arcadia, Nedea, Moarfall, Saratoga, 46566 and Romelands to increase communication and make sure that diplomatic talks are always accessible when times of tension and conflict are in place.

[Airatania]

FROM ANN POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT STEPHANIE MYERS:
Secretary of State Meredith Tierney announced just a short time ago that Airatania has entered into a five-nation alliance known as the Robed Alliance. This new group of nations consists of Vvarden, Cyrellican, Netherilic, Caisus, and now Airatania. The five nations signed a formal treaty, as well as a formal trade agreement, and a non-aggression pact.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement that Vvarden and Airatania have both had their requests for embassies approved by the nation of Unibearia in the north, a move that further solidifies the diplomatic standing of Airatania among the nations of Yukon.

As tensions rise between a growing number of nations and Herargon, Secretary Tierney believes this could give Airatanian officials enough political clout to try to act as a host for third-party talks on the issue. Airatania just yesterday formally recognized Herargon's neutrality, however today President Ward denounced the alleged actions of the Herargonian government against its people.

If the recent moves to establish a diplomatic presence are successful, it could allow Airatania to lead discussion on the brokering of a peace agreement, as well as to deal with the potential issues emerging from Herargon.

Dolara, Caisus ~ Last week the Thrice-Blessed Parliament began an enhanced operation to assist the rebuilding of Desolaas. This aid is mostly medical supplies, foodstuffs, and fabricators to produce temporary structures.
