Flag of the Eso Touitsu Jieitai (Esotoujiei - United Eso Self - Defense Forces)

Republic of Eso is a major Nihonjin political body during the Kastavanian Wars, formed officially by Confederal Government of Eso CFR after heated debated in Central Parliament. Independence will be proclaimed by the Nihonjin Democratic Party and Eso Popular Party coalition led by Republic Marshall, then self proclaimed Diamyo, Markus Kurosawa - a former officer of the Kastavanian Navy, now elected in the first free elections and serving as provincial head of the government, citing Article §78 of the Kastavanian constitution that proclaims that "should a member republic consider itself unhappy during it's membership in RSCK, it is granted all the rights to secede after completion of legal procedures". Even before the breakup wars begun, local Nihonese nationalist activists were active, infiltrating territorial defense forces.

Eso Touitsu Jietai (United Self Defense Forces of Eso) are official irregular wing of the newly proclaimed state. Many pro - Kastavanian critics see them as "Nihonese invasion" due to many Araveans of Nihonese origin, and Nihonese fighting among their ranks (their insertion and forming of those units will be RPed during prologue). It is estimated that " Esotoujiei " could, within first days of war, mobilize huge amount of local Territorial Defense Forces members, local paramilitaries, nationalist activists, mercenaries and foreign volunteers. At this moment, however, the "Esotoujiei" is officially unexistant and there are no "centralized" structures; most of potential forces reside in local Territorial Defense Brigades (a paramilitary formations made of civilians, called to service once a year for a month long training; also organizing courses at schools, universities, etc.), smaller nationalist paramilitaries (often disguised as Airsoft / Milsim groups, Pro - Defense formations, survival clubs, martial arts schools, shooter's associations. Those groups however are usually small, with fewer than 20 members usually and operate in total separation from others of their kind; there is however "national link up plan" exists to integrate the militia groups into national structure should the mobilization be announced).

NOTE: Republic of Eso is yet to be proclaimed, and mobilization is yet to be announced. So far no "active" structures exist, except for less than 4000 in total fighters loyal to the Nihonjin clans that own much of the land in rural areas; those clan fighters however are poorly armed and affected by clan rivalries. I will give my total ORBAT once mobilization is called.

Biggest militias that will be formed during first days of war which will become part of Eso Touitsu Jieitai include:

- Nationalist Tigers for Liberation of Eso ( Eso Kaihou Kokumin-ko, shortened Kaikoko): A nationalist - oriented group, headed by former Mercenary Gerrard Takenaka, made out mostly of Nihonjin nationalists, with heavy foreign backup (it is estimated that at least 44% of their officer cadre are from outside Eso). Politically aligned, but independent from Nihonjin Democratic Party. Suspected of having backup of Nihonese PMC, Ronin Security Group.

- Nihonjin Military Society ( Nihonjin Gunkai ): Biggest militia group and official armed wing of the Nihonhin Democratic Party, pretty well armed and trained due to basing it's membership on army reservists and territorial defense forces members; after mobilization is complete will include several motorized formations based on pickups, quads and light armor. Headed by David Hamasaki, former officer of Teritorial Defense Force.

- Alliance of the Nihonjin Clans ( Nihonjin-zoku Doumei ): Official guerrilla formations of the Eso Popular Party; smaller and poorly equipped forces loyal to the rural clans, but knowing the terrain and harsh in combat. Despite government's best effort it was never able to disarm rural area, though most weapons those fighters possess date back to `50s and 60s. Mostly guerrilla and light infantry oriented, operates in mountainous terrain. Juntoku Shinji, head of local branch of Juntoku clan, is unofficial leader.

- Mechanized Brigade "Bushido": Led by Nihonese volunteer and former officer of Nihonese Army now being self proclaimed General named Taira Jirou, an iconic formation independent of all political groups, also first formed "heavier" unit combining pickups, makeshift armor and weaponry seized from the government or delivered covertly through Aravean border; tries to become as much regular as possible. Despite their political independence, fighters of those group are supporters of Nemawashi idea.

- Tenshinhei Regiment "Shinobi": former Aravean Nihonese formation, acting as part of local Nihonese Security Force of Aravea; disbanded two years ago, currently reconstructed and fighting in Kastavania independent from political alignment, but as part of Eso United Self defense Forces. Special forces unit, made of highly trained and qualified personnel.

- Nihonjin Forces for Democracy: A left leaning group that will at first declare loyalty to United Eso Security Force, then will attempt to take as much for themselves. It will lead to slaughter of the group's leadership and disarmament of it's fighters at hands of forces acting upon orders of Gerrard Takenaka for "treason against Nihonjin interests and attempt to undermine independence attempt". Liberal in nature, envisions future Eso as left - leaning welfare state.

Operational Commands:

- Coastal operational room of Eso Touitsu Jieitai
- NorthWestern operational room of Eso Touitsu Jieitai
- Cosnian operational room of Eso Touitsu Jieitai (possible in future).

TBH if I want to play out the evacuation of all overseas Palmyrians in Kastavania I will need overseas Palmyrians as an ethnicity. 50k will do for me.

They are representative of the Belkan minority in Kastavania and gain their power from a mixture of popular support and terror. They are lead by a faction who call themselves the Jomswikingers, lead by the "Gotthand" Wolfgang Wilhelm Kunze - a zealous Gottlichist Gnostic who believes he has achieved a Pneumatic state were he is able to interpret the will of Lagos and is truly without material attachment to the world and also possesses Sophia (wisdom). His power is absolute among the Jomswikingers, with him possessing an almost divine position in their hierarchy. He sees the Belkans as "psychics," those who have spirits trapped in material form. His views with regards to the "hylische" are that they should be treated like children due to their inability to perceive the wisdom of Kunze. His right hand man and main general is a man known as Conrad Metzger - Grand master of the order-state. While Kunze serves a political figure who leads the Order-state who engages in the political, diplomatic and stragetic side of things, Metzger focuses on the tactical efforts of things although he is capable of acting in a more stragetic manner.

Central government is another faction; however portions of the gear belonging to various units will be seized by the militias as the conflicts erupt.

Here is the schedule of the threads:

1) PROLOGUE: FALLDOWN - a story acting as introduction to the Breakdown. Will deal with election results, and what sort of policies will be pursued by different local governments. Also an attempt of the federal government to keep everything together and come up with some plan of reforms.

2) DAWN OF THE BELKAN AEON - Totally ignorant of the talks, Belkan Neo - Nazis launch an uprising and announce secession of Belka Minor, attempting to exterminate Araveans and Latagalians, causing quick reaction from all sides. First battles begin as government sends federal armed forces to quell the Belkan uprising.

3) MOLLON LABE - as the battle in Belka rages on, Tsadokian and Koshatian nationalist mobs begin massive riots during a football match. Clashes on the stadium quickly spread on entire city, as militias associated with hooligans join the fight, firing first shots. Government watches helplessly as the mere football riot degenerates into civil war, before sending in military to restore order...

4) FOR THE DIAMYO! - Annoyed by continuing chaos, Eso Republic declares independence. At this point NKK is understand, and government must rely on "volunteer" formations to do the fighting.

5) COSNIAN VOLCANO - after Eso republic declared it's independence, Nihonjin and Araveans in Cosnia declare independnece of said republic. Referrendum is boycotted by local Kastavanians who attempt - against wishes of the government - to carry on the fight on their own.

6) THE COMBINED TERROR - Koshatian Shiite Jihad spreads into Koshatia proper, causing the spillover. War begins to spill over the foreign counties.

7) THE ONE FINAL BATTLE - Now, whole year has passed since the armistce was reached. A single incident causes the war to reignite. Now with all parties fully entrenched, bloodiest part of the war begins, with foreign interventions allowed.

Thoughts?

Running independent would be several "media" threads portraying events in Kastavania to general population of II, as well as a single "Council" thread, which will act as a place for conducting general diplomacy.

Yeah! I am aiming at creation of a very deep scenario, which will involve both character RPs, war RPs, news RPs... this is "something for everybody". Many people do not have even to fight, just to write news threads about what is happening in here. Reports, prognosis - all is welcome!

Usually, journalism comes after the fact (like events, etc.). It will not be ignored, since it can favor one party or another. In this RP, journalism can be a big factor to how each group will be viewed by international perspective.
