TWO WAYS TO JOIN SACTO:

1) Hard way: Pass through the crucible. Crucible will be an annual war games RP launched towards determining which of the applicants are worthy of joining SACTO. During said war games the members of SACTO command will determine weather applicant is suitable for being part of SACTO - rating his OOC behaviour, maturity, military knowledge, willingness to learn. Please note that an exceptional military knowledge isn't needed - but rather, willingness to learn and proper way of RPing are far more important. Knowledge, though valued, is something that can be learned.

2) Easy Way: Be a good friend of one of members and get an invitation from him. This is especially recommended for people who will be tasked with so called "geopolitical" part of the SACTO - news, politics, character interaction etc. Will require an evaluation from commanders.

1. Be a stable, center-right to right wing nation: as per se said, SACTO is a right wing alliance; while we differ on issues, our goal is the same; destruction of socialism.

3. Posses a proper military knowledge or be willing to learn: SACTO puts a hight emphasis on that regard.

The Army has 600,000 active members, the Air Force has 150,000, and the Navy has 200,000, while the Zovorossian Special Forces are a newer division with 15,000 total members. The military is geared for fighting insurgencies and guerrilla style wars within the country's own borders, because of Zovorossia's unstable state. The Special Forces specifically are trained to end insurgencies quickly and efficiently before they can grow into another civil war.

These are the military goals of the Zovorossian Armed Forces:
*Protect Zovorossia from the internal threats of rebellion and communism
*Maintain stability in major urban areas
*Enforce Zovorossian interests in our colonies

Zovorossia, while not really a warmongering state, does have a pro war attitude because of fervent nationalism stemming from the victory of the Whites in the Red-White War, also known as the Second Zovorossian Civil War, when the socialist government was deposed for good. This has led to most military members joining without having to be drafted. The military is well equipped with weapons that are mostly equivalents of Russian and Chinese equipment, while the Navy is mostly made of Chinese ships.

The Trazentine military stands out of the regular standing armies, the legions, and non-governmental forces like church soldiers, household guards and militias. A legion is an unit of 30.000 men standing out of three Meroi ( Divisions) that all stand out of two cohorts (brigades) which are on their turn divided into Tourma (battalions). Legionshave a number and a nickname which are often still the same as 2000 years ago for legions will be resurrected when scattered/defeated. All legionaries are well-equipped and well-trained. The military doctrine of the empire is one of honour, the armies of Trazentiocheia still stick to old uniforms, ranks and traditions. Both women and men can serve in the legions but only men of noble birth can occupy the higher ranks. The non-governmental military forces are numerous but I can't tell a lot about them for there're a lot of them. Furthermore I don't have much information because I'm still working on my military, I hope some of you might be willing to advise me in the future.

The church is also rich and patly corrupt. Smaller religions are buddhism, islam and judaism although the last two are frowned upon. There're not many atheists because thaat will greatly reduce your position but many are not very dedicated christians anymore.
- LGBT rights?: Outlawed, although some high nobles are gay in secret is the punishment for homosexuality death.
- Abortion?: Outlawed by the church, even the most progressive emperors could not get this past the nobility and church and the more conservative emperors also hate the idea of abortion.
- Euthanasia?: Allowed if accepted by doctors, but still frowned pon by the church and many citizens.
- Torture?: Allowed to nobles, commoners are not allowed to torture others.
- Socialism?: Plainly Outlawed, severe punishment awaits socialistic sympathizers.
- Communism: Heads, spikes, walls, you know the drill.
- Nazism?: The empire shares the Nazist superior race (the Trazentine race) ideas but will deny any nazist regime within its own borders.
- Fascism?: The empire shares the Fascist nationalistic ideas but will deny any fascist regime within its own borders.
- Liberalism?: In economic sense, encouraged. In poltical sense subject to severe punishment.
- Terrorism?: Despised for being dishonourable.
- Feminism?: In a very lite form it is accepted. The empire is becoming more reasonable with female rights after a long time of conservatism on that subject and since the Purple Edict of the late emperor Varesios II are women allowed in the army and at low (both civil and military) command functions.

Lebanon has a strong military culture, that goes back to the Lebanese civil-war and other conflicts, the population is highly militarized because of this, with many people armed in case of war.

Lebanese navy operates a small navy, for mainly patrolling the coast.

The Air-force is mainly used for raids into Syria to destroy terrorist camps, as well as defending the air-space.

Currently Lebanese Government has hired PMC from Cuscatlan, Tecuxin to protect Mount Lebanon from Shia terrorists in the Beqqa valley, a series of large walls similar to ones in Israel have been built to protect the Maronite Christian population from Shiite terrorism.

Much of Lebanon's equipment is purchased from Nihon, some of it air from Israel, and other times the Fifth French Republic, Lebanon also has equipment purchased from Haupraux International Armaments that it plans on replacing.

Much of the Army's old equipment was either destroyed by ISIS or later replaced, and later on the Army was divided between patriots who were Pro-Lebanese independence and traitors who were Pro-Syria. Since the division of the army.

The military is by far and large the biggest employer in Tarkan after the agricultural and fisheries sector, hence there is a big culture around it especially providing a secure wage and steady employment. Doctrine is something barely discussed outside of certain doors but the military in Coveton and the Tarkanese Islands are very defense oriented, whilst in New Haven, due to the conditions set for the defense of the New Haven Friendship Canal, the military is allowed the leisure of an initial defensive footing to absorb any Whiteshorian attacks followed by a swift counter attack on weakened/retreating units.

This is why Palmyrion has high standards of commerce-one example is every internet service provider being required to have their own lines and not rely on just one company to have their services transmitted through their wires, and government inspects them monthly for quality check. Another example is automobile manufacturing. Local companies rarely outsource their raw materials-they use raw materials from Palmyrion, and if Palmyrion does not have the raw material they need they would have to outsource, of course. Palmyrian businesses (and only Palmyrian businesses) can avail of low-interest loans from the government, but they also have a choice for banks. - Euthanasia?: No. Fighting death may be futile, and we are forced to accept it, but we should not kill a person's life even if the person asks for it.

Legatia posses powerful force projection capabilities, and boasts a well-seasoned military, designed to be capable in any role in any situation.
  
  The Legatian Imperial Armed Forces are spread across five major branches: the Imperial Army, which maintains the bulk of the military's ground and mechanized power, the Imperial Navy, which hosts a powerful blue and green-water navy whose charge varies from patrol boats to nuclear aircraft carriers, the Imperial Air Force, which maintains some of the world's most advanced air technologies, the Logistics and Informational Support, which handles the massive logistical nightmare of such an enormous force as well as handling espionage and intelligence-gathering, and the Imperial Marine Forces, a subsection of the navy which specialize in amphibious warfare and act as a general, worldwide quick reaction force.
  
  Legatia enforces mandatory military training for all natural born male citizens within it's continental borders (I.E.   - LGBT rights?: Homosexual marriage is legal by civil and marriage unions across the Imperial Provinces, and it is illegal for provincial governments to bar couples from entering into such unions. However, churches, synagogues or other religious groups are not by law required to hold ceremonies or bear witness to such unions if they do not wish to. No laws have been made against transgenders, allowing such individuals to pursue any operations necessary upon their own funds, though being transgender is seen as a mental defect (A number of Legatians also see homosexuality the same way.)
  - Abortion?: Abortion is legal only if the mother was raped or if the baby poses a risk to the mother's health. It must be aborted before the end of the second trimester.

  - Fascism?: Though Legatia is technically an autocracy, most citizens view Lance Ecaedus as a fair and just leader, apt and capable. Almost every Legatian household has a gun, which goes to show the trust the people of the Imperial Provinces put in the goverment. Fascism in it's pure form, though, is highly unlikely to come to fruition due to laws set in place.
  - Liberalism?: Liberalism has a larger following amongst primarily younger men and women and more specifically non-citizens in cities such as Vestium, Capreae, Arcannum, and Centralis. As most other citizens are center-right, liberalism holds a small sway within the Provinces.
  - Terrorism?: After Legatia's first major taste of terrorism at the Vestium airport attacks where hundreds were slaughtered, and a subsequent military campaign of retribution, terrorism is fiercely opposed by Legatians of any political alignment. Organizations from citizen militias to Imperial special operations groups actively work at defeating asymmetric threats around the clock, be it with a gun or with a keyboard.

Ontop of the destroyed equipment from the war, the former democratic government relied mostly on NATO's forces for protection, and didn't see a reason to invest in our nation's defence.   - Abortion?: In favour. If a woman is unable to raise a child at the moment, she should have the full right to have an abortion, for 70% of criminals come from families who did not want a child.
  - Euthanasia?: In favour. If a said person is living on the edge of life and death, in a coma or simply in horrible, paralizing pain, he or she should be allowed to be given peace.
  - Torture?: Publicly, we are against. But in secret, yes. Our newly formed Military Police is authorized to use all kinds of methods to achieving their tasks and operations in the interest of keeping civil peace.
