OOC: As usual, this is an information given by your commentators

The Harrikes Bay Convention Center was ready. 150,000 people in the Inside Seating Area and 320,000 in the Outside Seating Area were ready to enjoy the show. As predicted, the day had been very sunny and the night was very clear; no clouds appeared around Harrikes and the stars were illuminating the pitch black sky. The outside fans had nothing to worry about regarding weather. With 470,000, this was the largest crowd for a World Hit Festival ever. Also the cheapest one in ticket-prices. And there were people from all the participating countries...

There will be two opening acts: "Katalina" and "Ngoma Ya Moyo Wanga" by Totó Sambakileué; and the Opera-Theatre act "The Beating Drums" by Andarri Band. The centerpiece of this edition was the Bantulu culture, and thus, it had to be celebrated this way. The hosts will be Haritz Lesmes (Euskal entertainer, actor, TV host) and Bizi Andargorrekoetxea (Miss Euskirribakondara 2010). Haritz is the best-selling male Euskal artist and he was born in Harrikes, 36 years ago, and he is a cousin of the Harrika Dago I. Bizi is a beautiful woman from the Kastelàm family, descendant of a Hingan family. She worked as Miss Euskirribakondara on 2010, and since, she has been working on humanitarian aid around the world, but she has not lost her camera skills.

For everything said/heard/sung on the show, subtitles on English/Chenkoryan/French/Armenian/Azerbaijani/Belikovian are being provided to foreign broadcasters. If the foreign channels broadcast on a language different than those mentioned, they shall use the English subs to make their own ones.

It was 20:22 (local time, UTC-7), as usual. WHF8 had kicked off!


OPENING ACT 1
TOTÓ - "KATALINA/NGOMA YA MOYO WANGA"


Everyone was ready. The excitement was at its best, and everyone watched how the clock slowly marked 20:22. Some pyros were shot out to mark this moment and then, the stadium voice-over announced:
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Eighth edition of the World Hit Festival; held in Harrikes, Euskirribakondara"
"Emakuveak ta Gizomeveak, zoruikeren Munduanaren Hita Haixa-ad betinapido; Euskirribakondararen Harrikesetan"

The stage was shown for the first time, it was dimly illuminated in white. But everything around it was dark, it was like watching just the silhouette of it. The stage pole then began to be coloured, displaying various Eundarian/Bantulu (African-like) patterns whilst the cameras revolved around it.

After a few seconds, a spotlight revealed the top of the stage pole, where a drummer was standing. He started to play a little Eundarian drum solo and progressively, he started to play the tune of Katalina. Totó, from somewhere in the stage that we could not see shouted "Ukirixîetu!", which means Euskirribakondara in Bantulu language. But instead of watching her, there were many girls dressed just like her (A Mavazo with orange accesories (imagine the first picture combined with the second, and just in white and orange)). They were the backing vocalists. And visually, it looked very good, since there was one spotlight per girl, and the rest was totally dark. So it was like some spots of light among the darkness.

The first song is in Palenquero, a language from San Andrés de Palenque, a village in the far southeast Euskirribakondaran jungle, but full of Eundarian heritage. It is a creole language based on Spanish and Bantulu. (OOC: It is the RL Palenquero (the language of San Basilio de Palenque) language, part of the UNESCO list of Cultural Heritage; a unique creole from a Palenque in Colombia. Palenque was a village to where all the black slaves would escape, what anglophone caribbean countries call maroons). (OOC2: The lyrics are not fully original, they are inspired on the legend of "Katalina", one of the most representative folk works from San Basilio de Palenque)

The structure of these African-folk songs is simple, the lead singer says two phrases, and all his/her partners answer with two neverchanging phrases all the time. Sometimes they make a chorus, and when the song rhythm changes, everyone repeats the same at different notes and rapidness.

The song continued as Totó yelled "Harrikes" and the drums were sounding even better. A huge red spotlight revealed the orchestra pit, where the Harrikes Phillarmonic Orchestra (Eundarian music division) was performing. In the special trapdoor zone, the flames started to come out, with dancers (all in black paint) that were 'playing' with the fire. Totó continued with probably the only english-language words she'd ever say on one of her songs... "That's how it is! Clap! Clap!".

The floor revealed a Silva/Andarri swamp or siená'a, and then, a bright orange coloured light finally revealed Totó on the front platform. The cameras showed how she was smiling, this was one of the best experiences in her whole life. And the vocals would start.... A 4-minute long chant at the best Bantulu style. For this first sentences, Totó would be the centerpiece of the cameras.

Now it was time for the rest of the stage to come into life. The image of the floor switched to two kids looking for fish on a mangrove. The backing singers (who were dressed like Totó and scattered around the stage) began mimicking the traditional fishing skills of Eundarians, with a bowl on the right hand and the left hand picking fish from the swamp.

A giant fish appeared on the screens, which had been off until now (therefore, at this point, it's the first time everyone sees the entire stage). And then, it appears on the back-side screen, swimming. The backing singers were pointing at Totó, gesturing as if they were scolding her; before leaving towards the floating platforms.

Totó made a little spin, and a little girl appeared dressed as Katalina who jumped off the front platform and landed into the swamp (the stage-floor itself). She began chasing a little fish that appeared projected on the stage floor. She chased it until she arrived to a hidden trapdoor in the very front of the whole stage. When she arrived there, the little fish "disappeared".

The trapdoor began descending, and it was being filled with water. It really looked like the swamp was swallowing Katalina. The cameras revolved around her, and then a panoramic shot was made. Her look was of desperation as she 'sank'.

The backing singers were standing on top of the floating platforms, but already changed into different clothes. They represented the palenque/town. Most of them jumped off the floating platform and began running towards the front of the stage, as if they wanted to save Katalina. Several steadicams were running with the singers, making amazing shots of the persecution.

The lights faded off on the front of the stage as the attention was being directed to the main platform. The people was descending from the floating platforms into the main platform through the ramps, carrying two different coffins, representing a funeral. Katalina appeared on the runway that connects the main platform with the front platform, but know surrounded by smoke and on a white outfit with pale makeup.
A ta un riiiia... Di un gende lunga (Until one day, one of her relatives passed away)

Katalina disappeared again through a trapdoor, whilst all the people of the Palenque, were "debating" in the main platform (the coffins were already gone). After the debate, they rushed to the runway where Katalina was appearing again. They took her by her arms and legs and carried her to the special trapdoor zone, where a fake church had appeared. They entered with Katalina.

They left the church and at one point, totally synchronized they came back. When they entered the church, it collapsed. They went out of it towards the main platform. They all sat as if they were going to start to pray.

All the lights went off and just one spotlight looked at Totó (as well as the cameras) who sang from the very deep of her heart this part. The smoke was surrounding her, and the tempo (unlike the RL tune) slowed down for the climax.

The lights went on again, and the stage floor had the image of someone's head back... Just the hair could be seen. The backing singers/dancers were already reparted in the two sides of the stage, like in a line.

The backing singers/dancers began to make artistic moves before crouching and lying on the floor, Totó was still singing very powerfully.

Totó yelled Makué!!!! and all the singers/dancers answered with Ha!!!!. A panoramic shot showed that the stage floor had changed into an image of Katalina's face, and that the shapes the singers/dancers had formed when lying down where the letters K-A-T-A-L-I-N-A. The drums stopped and all the lights gathered on the word KATALINA, and on Totó. The whole Harrikes Bay Convention Center erupted in an impressive cheer. And then a shot of the Outside Area showed that pyros that said 'Katalina' were being shot.


After a few seconds, the helicopter camera showed the whole Harrikes Bay Convention Center in a bird's-eye-view, which was very colourful. Then, the cameras showed again the darkened stage. Within a matter of miliseconds, a mini-band of drums, in the top of the stage pole, started "Ngoma Ya Moyo Wanga".

122 dancers were ready, throughout the song, they'll be dancing like (mute the first two videos since the sound quality is not at all good) this, this, this (0:19-0:37), this (1:52-2:06) and specially this (2:25-3:04). (Or you can mute them all and put the "Ngoma Ya Moyo Wanga" file to get a better idea).

The stage started to illuminate slowly, on a shade of orange-red. The 122 dancers were all around the stage, the orchestra was on its pit, but above the platforms there were just Totó (front platform) and 22 drummers (main platform). First, one of the dancers shouted:
Mutu jingoma (People, the drums!)
Kuandala, eie kala boba (We wish that you are all here)
Ukirixîetu! (Euskirribakondara!)


The drums started to make the rhythm faster... The dancers were starting to warm up just as Totó started her part:

The stage floor and the screens started to show different places around Euskirribakondara that showcased its natural beauty, forests, rainforests, deserts, bays, islands, plains, et cetera. Most of them had already been seen on the WHF7 postcards. Each time everyone answers (the last two phrases of all the stranzas) a giant heart with an Eundarian design appears on the stage pole and beats with the rhythm. Fire is coming out of the special trapdoor zone as well, in the shape of a heart.

The phrase "the kids are just like the grown ups" means that everyone has the childhood joyful spirit on their hearts. The song is building up, and the dancers are changing the choreography each stranza despite that the rhythm does not change too much. The drummers are playing with even more excitement each time. Almost everyone is singing with Totó, most of the audience now know the lyrics by heart.

The chorus has arrived, and now everyone is dancing, even Totó and the drummers. The STZ (special trapdoor zone) is shooting out water that dances with the beat, and all around the stage the lights are illuminating everything, but all the lights are heart-shaped, it's like looking at a thousand hearts around the stage, in a golden colour.

The hearts around the stadium have all gathered in the stage and illuminated it. The dancers are now on different lines, moving to the right and the left like on a trance, and EUSK1 profits this to make several aerial shots that make it look amazingly coordinated. This time the back of the stage is showing a sunset at the beach and a rainbow in the mountains.... The stage pole displays a sun, whilst the screens provide the rest.

The chorus has come back again, and we see the heart-shaped lights all over the stage again. The people is even happier. The screens are now showing the people of the Outdoor area dancing like in a flashmob. In fact, on the TV screens, a direct image of the Outdoor area is being shown.

The heart-shaped lights disappear, but now there's something more visually atractive. The stage floor is displaying lines that converge in a single point, where Totó is standing. They are pulsating red lines. The phrase "Even the whitest guy knows the good songs" means that everyone, even the non-Eundarians, are able to sing and dance to this tune.

The last chorus was coming and all the dancers were still scattered around the giant stage. The drummers were playing faster, and the heart-shaped lights appeared again. On every "wanga" pyros came out of everywhere. And light effects on the roof displayed hearts. On the outdoor seating area, the audience could see live the outdoor pyros.

Everything went yellow/orange for a milisecond, and then everything turned to dark. The tune of the song changed, and then the lights were on again... The dancers were gone of the stage, and the lights just pointed at Totó who was on the front platform shouting/singing:

As she shouted, the dancers were re-appearing, this time, hold by strings up in the air. They now had drums, all of them. And they started to follow the tune that the Orchestra was playing, just as Totó shouted some words.

The dancers started a complex choreography with themselves and the drums, up in the air. In the special trapdoor zone, giant drums had emerged from the ground, and they were being played by the same mini-band that was on the stage pole a few minutes ago. Everyone was going faster and faster, it's a dance unthinkable for European people.. These guys had the rhythm on their hips, they were moving and moving... It was incredible since they had been doing it for more than 3 minutes. Totó kept singing with a great voice, she was flawless.

The heart-shaped lights came back! A beating heart could be heard among all the instruments that one was able to hear. And that same beating heart was being displayed on the stage dloor.

For the last part of the song, they'd be repeating the same three phrases for a long time, but as it can be heard on the instrumental version (the track) they do it at different rhythms, tones and even volume. The lights were like their voices, slowly decreasing until the end. Meanwhile, Totó and her dancers/singers, with the aid of the strings, were rising up.

Everyone was looking to the roof, where the dancers were forming Bantulu patterns with their bodies. Totó was still halfway between the stage floor and the roof. And special light effects made it look as if she was surrounded by fire. A milisecond afterwards, the song started to build up in volume and intensity, the song was about to come to an end.

That last phrase was done by all the 450,000 attendants. In fact, with all that strength, the shout was heard even outside the Harrikes Bay Convention Center complex. Everything erupted into cheers and pyros. Just like in an Olympic opening ceremony, lots and lots of pyros were being shot from all around the venue.

The image now switched to Totó who was being descended as she said...

She was given a farewell with cheers and applauses hardly ever seen on an international event. Then, the darkness began to fall upon everything again, preparing for the second opening act.

OPENING ACT 2
ANDARRI BAND - "BEATING DRUMS"


The second opening act started with a show of two minutes of Bantulu folk music and its characteristic dancing. It was held in the floor of the proper stage, in both sides (left and right), and it looked like this. After that, a fire was lit in the top of the pole, and the drummers (all in the orchestra pit and the main platform) started to play a fanga.

As they played the fanga, twenty opera singers, who were standing in the catwalk that connects the main platform with the front platform, started to sing to the rhythm of the music. They had no lyrics, but they were making vocal improvisation exercises that matched the rhythm, going from low notes to high notes. The rhythm then switched to this one; to which everyone around the Harrikes Bay Convention Centre started to clap their hands, shout and cheer. The 20 singers started to sing the lyrics of Kiyakiya (the same as in the RL song).

At this time, the rest of the band, which was mainly theatre actors, started to make a very interesting and artistic choreography (a bit like Pina Bausch's theatre-dance choreographies) to the rhythm of the drums. They were scattered around the floor of the proper stage as they danced.... With their dancing, they revealed a history of love between all the men and all the women, imitating the ceremony of Tutukuyo, in which, in past times, in Eundarian villages, the men would conquer all the girls. With diverse camera angles and speeds, the whole dance looked magnificent.

Towards the end of the song (about 4 minutes later); more drummers and singers appeared, but in the Outdoor Seating Area. They finished with an improvisation of african Opera and chants combined with a drumming melody similar to the aforementioned. Then, the thunderous applause of the crowd was received. Fireworks were shot, and then, all the direction was directed again to the Indoor Seating Area and Stage, where the hosts were awaiting to welcome everyone to the show.

I'm Haritz Lesmes, an artist from the Euskirribakondaran music scene. Ni Haritz Lesmes izan.
In fact, the best-selling male artist *jiggles* And I am Bizi Andargorrekoetxea. Ta ni izan Bizi Andargorrekoetxea. I was Miss Euskirribakondara 2010.
We are also celebrating five months and ten days since Karolina Etséu won in Beldonia, remember it?

29 acts have prepared for a long time to represent their countries...
And to bring the best performance to us, the audience of tonight.
The eighth winner of the World Hit Festival is decided tonight.
Let's take a look at who is participating!


The screens show the countries, their flags and their voting number; with the voting indications given by each participating broadcaster appearing below on each country.

Well. The juries decide 50% of the final outcome, and you, the audience will represent the other 50%
Televoting can be done using a telephone line, SMS, web voting or even tweets!
But we'll explain voting later. Meanwhile, all you have to worry about, is watching the 29 acts.
All of them are excellent, and all of them are hoping to win!

A panoramic shot of the inside seating area was made, and since everything was dark, all we could see were the shadows of the waving flags and the flashes of the 150,000 fans' cameras and phones. Then, a panoramic shot (from a helicopter) of the outdoor seating area was made, and all the 320,000 attendants were waving their flags and cheering.

After a few seconds of these shots, Parker Deijezdić was shown on the left-side ramp ready to go to the stage and the POSTCARD OF THATIUS started. The show had begun.

Post your entries and performance description from now on.

You have to put on your performance the number of the posting order. (01 if you've posted first, 02 if you've posted second, 03 if you've posted third, 04 if you've posted fourth, etc.) The IC date is Sunday June 10th! But you can post ONLY until Thursday June 7th.

Take into account how the stage IS. Also, take into account the distribution of space inside the venue. For my participating acts, and the opening/interval/etc; I'll use the name of the places around the stage. These names are in the description afore-linked.

01- Parker Deijezdić - Take It


The crowd holds their breath as they await the first performance of the World Hit Festival, this time coming from Thatius. Suddenly, the lights go off except for the stage, which has turned into a mix of two colors: red and yellow, symbolizing two of the three colors of the Thatian flag (the other being black.) When the lights are completely on, Parker Deijezdić, the Thatian singer, is standing in the middle of the stage. One light yellow spotlight from above shines down on him, and the same is cast upon the small orchestra in the back, consisting of three cellos, five violins, a flutist, and a pianist.

Parker smiles confidently, then prepares to start his performance.

First he starts with a short prelude to his song: "There's a lot of you out there I know..." he says almost with a pant, "who have loved someone, and would have given anything to be with them. I sing in search of her."

The piano starts with a soft melody accompanied by a violin soloist. Parker joins in with a soft hum for two lines before singing softly and very slowly:

When I walk I want to die
But you told me it’s treason to cry

Oh oh oh oh ah…

Unaccompanied in the night
Unbelieving of this dream in sight
You’re standing there…

A drum beat starts, and the full orchestra jumps in with the pianist and violin soloist, adding their elegant sound to the melody.

Finally, the beat becomes more uplifting, and the violins enter a harmonious tune together signaling the transition. At the end of the run, the violin soloist is starts a new beat accompanied by the sound of snapping fingers. While it is the orchestra's turn, Parker walks up in front of the orchestra and prepares to start singing. With this, Parker now powerfully sings one of the climaxes of the song:

Finally, the language of the song changes (for just a short while) to Serbian, Parker's native tongue. Slowly he moves towards the front of the stage and bends on one knee, like he is proclaiming his everlasting love and asking the girl to marry him. With the same power as before, he blasts:

The best part of the song arrives, as it is the most uplifting and sung strongly. Parker moves back to the middle of the stage in the spotlight so he can hit the notes. He puts the microphone back in the stand as he sings and reaches both hands outwards and closes his eyes to sing (but still in the same beat.)

Parker Deijezdić took a bow and gestures and claps to the orchestra, who has all stood up. Cheers are getting stronger and Parker took one final bow and exited the stage through the trapdoor special zone. All the lights are going back to off, and one orange light bulb is pointing at the left-side ramp, where Anna Petravona is getting ready to perform. She sends a greeting to the cameras, and then the POSTCARD OF POLKOPIA starts. A shot of the Outdoor Seating Area is seen after the postcard, where everyone is cheering excited. And then, the second act begins.

02 - Anna Petravona - Nalla le Strana (Bouncing Back)


The crowd has just finished clapping, when the stage turns completely black for a few moments, when, after about three seconds, the black screen and floor turn a navy blue and fog creeps along the ground, and nears the singer, Anna Petranova, who is now standing on the stage, looking down at the floor. Small white dots begin to form upon the screen, almost mimicing the night sky. A light blue spotlight is shown upon the Polkopian singer, and another one is shown above the orchestra.

Anna Pertanova's dress is a beautiful, yet simple black dress which shows off Anna's body in a splendid manner. Her black hair falls neatly to her shoulders and a golden headband is visible on the top of her head. She continues to stare at the ground until the orchestra begins to play, where she then looks up at the crowd and places her free hand on her chest as she prepares to sing...

The crowd cheers as Anna Petranova bows and kisses to the crowd. A large smile appears on her face as she listens to the cheers of the crowd, and she kisses to the crowd one more time before exiting the stage.

The crowd is cheering as the cameras take the final image of Anna Petravona, who bows and kisses to the crowd. Right after a smile appears on her face and she kisses to the crowd one more time before exiting the stage. Then the cameras go to the right-side entrance ramp, where Daniel Latham is ready to perform. The whole Inkartsch delegation is waving Inkartsch flags and holding signs that say "LOSING? NOT TONIGHT!". After this gentle image, a shot of the Outdoor Seating Area is done; and then, the POSTCARD FOR INKARZIKAN starts. The third act is about to begin.

Inkarzikan performs

After Daniel Latham finishes his song, some people around the audience applaude to his effort. Nonetheless, this is the least excitement shown throughout all the show. He exits through the right-side Special Trapdoor Zone shouting "Thank you!". Then, we can see Cezar Boree with his 3 violinists, entering through the left-side Special Trapdoor Zone, smiling at the cameras. Everyone welcomes him with big cheers, and the POSTCARD FOR FOLKAND starts.

Cezar Boree is hidden behind the red capes of the Valkyrie dancers; the music has stopped amplifying, and actually, the song has ended totally. The light goes out, and whilst the staff is helping the Folkandish team take out everything related to their act, Hamish Lee is shown in the left-side entrance ramp. By his side, his 7 dancers (all female, dressed in body suits, 6 in black and 1 in light grey. They each wear a white mask with a different face. The dancers surround Hamish's face... He's looking directly at the cameras with a face of "yeah, baby". The POSTCARD FOR THE KIASER COLONIES starts.

The Kiaser Colonies performs

The fireworks coming up from around the stage have stopped, like the song, and the kiss between Hamish Lee and one of the dancers (who separate immediately). The stage lights up and he shouts "Thank you Harrikes! I love you!" to which he receives an amazing response from the crowd... Almost everyone has liked the song. Then the image goes to the right-side entrance ramp, where Daria and her dancers make a little belly dance before shouting "Phoenigetuzstha!". Then the POSTCARD OF PHOENIGETUZSTHA starts.

Folkandish entry is presented as the fourth. Cezar Boree is waiting behind the stage while the audience is watching the Folkandish postcard.

The performance

3 violinists are wearing white dresses like that:

They are playing their violins in the back of the scene. The white light is outshining them during their emotional intro. The atmosphere is really magical because of traditional-stylized Folkandish melody.

Then Cezar Boree is emerging from the dark wearing white suit with red elements like this:

He is coming to the microphone. Melody doesn't change while he is starting singing the first versus. Light is falling on him.

The dancers are falling down on the floor during the last sentence. After short silence the tragic dance becomes gentler. The light are changing to white again. Music is calming down. Violinist are playing softly. Cezar is starting patheticly the second versus.

The stage is dark and nobody can be seen. As the music begins the middle of the floor (about a 2m radius or so around Hamish) begins to gently flash black and white (not enough to see much of Hamish) with the beat. Just before he starts to sing a spot light shines on Hamish and the floor around him goes dark again. 7 dancers (all female, dressed in body suits, 6 in black and 1 in light grey. They each wear a white mask with a different face. there are 3 black on either side of the 1 in grey in a v shape. The first dancer either side of the dancer in grey has a happy mask, the second a sad mask, the third an angry mask and the grey has a mask showing no feeling. The masks are not visible until they raise their heads) are also on stage and a low amount of light is put on them, just enough to see them. They are balled up face down. Once Hamish begins singing they begin to sing they begin to stretch slowly. By the third line they are on their hands and knees and by the end of this verse they are on their feet.

I'm looking for the answers but finding none

During this verse the dancer, except the one in grey, make their way up to Hamish and have formed a circle around him by the end of the verse

The dancers stay where they are (grey at the front of the stage, black in a circle around Hamish) As the chorus begins their dancing becomes more energetic and the stage around Hamish lights up (stays lit for chorus) and more spot lights point to the circle and they grey dancer

Once the chorus ends the spot lights go out and the floor goes off. Again their is only enough light to see the dancers and the spotlight on Hamish. The circle of dancers fall to their knees and the grey one walks towards Hamish. The black dancers do the same as they did at the start of the song. At the start of the third line she walks once in a U around behind Hamish looking at him. once she gets back to the front of him she places her hand on his cheek and pauses briefly then walks away, just before the chorus begins

Again the stage lights up and the chorus begins just as the grey dancer is outside the circle. The dancers are on their feet and the dance is the same as the previous chorus

During the instrumental they grey dancer walks 1 lap around the circle as they dance. Hamish follows her with his eyes. When she reaches the front again she walks into the circle up to Hamish and whispers in his ear. she pauses for a second and the walks out of the circle. After a few steps Hamish follows after her but as he reaches the edge of the circle everything goes dark (the seconds pause in the melody, double it). When the music returns there are 6 more black dancers in front of him. He backs into the middle of the circle and looks around the stage searching for the grey dancer as if he cannot find her as the 12 black dancers dance in a counter clock wise direction. The grey dancer walks in a clock wise direction around the circle slowly watching Hamish.

As the lyrics finish the dancers continue dancing but in stay their places. As the grey dancer reaches the front of the circle again they fall to their start positions again. She and Hamish stare at each other then she walks to him. Once she reaches him she takes off her mask then they kiss for a few seconds. As they do fireworks come up from around the stage. Once the music finishes they separate and the stage lights up and the fireworks stop.

Thatius' entry is really strong like every year. This song make audience so excited. The soft vocal makes this performance a wonder. Serbian parts of the song are all I want to hear in this type contest. The instrumental background is perfect and this harmony between the singer and the orchestra make this phenomenon more spectacular experiance.

Emotional ballads is all we love in contest like this. Polkopian entry is very ambitious and it's excellently performed by Anna. Her voice is the one of the best in this contest I think. I'm sure audience will enjoy Polkopian song because of this beautiful language too. The lyrics are so sensible and Anna as a woman is really atractive. It has to be succes!

Cezar is really respectable in our country. The performance is so magical because of the attractive violinists and dancers but also the play of lights. I hope that the singer's good vocal and the folk music background cause the audience to enjoy Folkandish entry this year. It's not the secret that we want to win, but it will be so hard between lots of wonderful songs.

It's pleasure to listen to this song. It's catchy, radio song performed by charismatic singer. I'm afraid that a crowd of many similar entries could cover this one. The good performance is the main plus of Kaiser entry. Very original music background could make audience to vote for KC and the high position of the song won't surprise me. Good luck!

The foreign entry from Phoenigetuzstha is perfect. Daria's vocal is strong and powerful. Backup dancers make really hard arrangement. Persian and Phoenigetz parts of the song take us to another place. The visualisation and the fire causes the atmosphere so hot! Belly dance that Daria dances will come to plus, aspecially for male part of audience.

Leo Green - 20-year-old artist from Wilfred Test performs an emotional composition. The song seems monotonous but I'm sure that the fans of sensible ballads will send their votes for Leo. The visualisation behind the singer that shows a meadow, during the refrain is covered by thunder. It makes this song more dynamic. The lyrics are really wonderful.

Beth Sundon is called Giliganian Adele. Her voice is so original. The song "Home" that she sings is an expressive composition without unnecessary fireworks. The background is very interesting and it suits the song. I can say that it's one of the best entry this night. The lyrics and perfect vocal modulations complete this fantastic performance.

Sheila Atkinson performs this night the rock-country song. Eerian entry is catchy and plesing to the ears. Her filling is wonderful and I hope that people will notice her joy of singing and no stress on the stage. The fiddler gives wonderful music background. Singer is really attractive, so I'm enchanted by the whole. It must be high!

Chinese Regions' entry is special for fans of hard playing. The song is full of dark power and seems to be so different than other songs in this competition. Powerful sound spreads energy around the stage and audience. Unfortunately I'm afraid that this niche play won't be enjoyed by majority of the televoters. However I'm sympathetic with this entry.

Princetian artist seems to sound like a siren. In the middle of this big ocean which the stage is she seems to be delicate, lost girl. However her strong vocal doesn't let us think like this. She share her expressive feelings with us and this song forces a lot of people to cry. I'm elated because of the beauty of Isabella. I have no words to describe it!

Motokata give us the commercial song that uses really cheap beat. Maybe Nana is a good singer but this song doesn't show it. I'm afraid that I have to mix this entry with mud. This song seems to be like a plastic toy. I respect Motokata as the country of good musicians but this is going away from all musical canons. The fantastic lyrics doesn't suit it.

The stage is dark, and there is very little light in the audience too. As the music starts, pulses of light flow from the stage before disappearing, still meaning that Daria is unseen. When the up-tempo parts start the stage immediately bursts into life, the flames at the side dancing and the stage is filled with golden lights. The stage beneath her feet is filled with a turquoise-blue colour, while the steps and moving panels are golden. The tower is portraying the image of a flame. Daria is wearing this while her backing dancers are wearing this.

There are four dancers two either side of Daria as the music starts and Daria is seen to be standing on the raised platform at the back of the stage. She begins dancing to the music, her backing dancers joining in unison. As she starts the first verse she begins to walk to the front platform, they walk around the outside however as there is a large shallow container full of water on the centre of the stage.

She makes it to the front platform and while singing begins to perform something like a belly dance. The backing dancers have stopped walking at the start of the walkway to the front platform and are performing a more complicated belly dance.

Walking back to the dancers, they all get in the pool and begin dancing a lot more with their feet, kicking the water up as Daria sings, she too is doing the same thing. The men in the crowd seem to be enjoying this display.

She begins to dance more vigorously, and two male dancers dressed like the God Marqod, or to put it more specifically, sparsely clothed, with little more than some woven cloth covering their waist to their lower thighs. A huge scream from the audience is heard, from the girls after seeing these men. They take up position closer to Daria and begin doing a separate dance to the girl backing dancers. Daria herself is just standing still, working on her vocals more than anything.

The female dancers go off, and the male dancers lift Daria up, she sings while on their soldiers, often glancing at them passionately, using them as the person who she is talking to in the song.

Daria now herself begins to perform a complicated belly dancing routine which is seemingly flawless. The female backing dancers come back on with microphone's and begin to sing with Daria.

Daria now goes back to the front podium and begins to sing the final chorus by herself, still showing the energy she had previously been showing. The backing dancers begin performing a dance routine behind her, combining both powerful and graceful elements to enhance both genders abilities at their art.

Haritz Lesmes and Bizi Andargorrekoetxea were standing on top of the stage pole. A camera was closely watching them as they made their first intervention through the night.

Bizi: How have the rehearsals been for you so far, Leo?
Leo Green: Well, I can say we had a shaky start since my guitar was not well tuned to the microphone and it sounded rather unusual. After a switch of equipment thanks to the generosity and helpfulness of the Euski hosts, my song has been fine tuned and I can say I am very pleased with the result.


Haritz: Hi Hamish! How are you?
Hamish Lee: Fine, thanks.
Haritz: We are very curious about how did the rehearsals went for you and your team...
Hamish Lee: Rehearsals have gone smoothly for us. In fact, I'd like to thank the hosts for providing the conditions to make it so. *smiles*


Bizi: Kaixó Amaia! I see you're checking that screen too much.. What's going on?
Amaia (Vocalist for Donostia): Well, in our song, Eqeersarneq, there's one problem with the translation that appears on the back screen. One line of the song is "Allanaraa allaavoq", and since Greenlandic is such a complex language, its direct translation is "As it feels something unusual about itself and is different from the others"
Bizi: Seriously? Are you kidding me?
Amaia: No, it's serious *jiggles*. When we were trying to make an English version we realized it was definitely impossible. Well, not impossible... But it would take lots of time, which we spent, rehearsing.


Bizi: And how have the rehearsals been for you?
Daria: I think everything has been very good. Our belly dance is perfectly captured by the cameras... I'd like to thank the production team. Everyone's so friendly and helpful... I love that!


Haritz: And how have the rehearsals been for you?
Sheila Atkinson: Everything perfect! *clicks her finger* Just perfect!


Then, the video showed some bloopers of the rehearsals...
    - Hüsniye Əlizadə getting sand in her mouth whilst rehearsing her act.
    - Cezar Boree not being totally hidden by his valkyries.
    - Many of Mademoiselle's dancers falling like in a domino effect.
    - RockRyuJin not being able to remove his hood at the start of his song.
    - Anna Petravona forgetting her lyrics in a very long note and replacing it for "And now I don't know what to SIIIIIIIING".
    - Bizi Andargorrekoetxea singing Nana Harada's song like a robot during a soundcheck.
    - The "Da Da Love" image by Bokla's dancers appears as "Ca Ca Lova"
    - Haritz teaching Adrianna Whispin how to say "Bizi Andargorrekoetxea"
    - A sound technician being scared by Fifth Focus's sound on-stage.
    - The lights going off before the Inkartsch act ended, to which Daniel Latham sung "It seems we're not having lights... Not tonight"
    - Alja Gammël going to the wrong sides of the stage whilst being given indications.

The applauses for the video end, as the camera makes a rapid move and shows Leo Green tuning his guitar in the left-side entrance ramp. He draws "WILFRED TEST" with his finger, and then he smiles at the camera. He starts ascending the ramp as the image switches to the POSTCARD OF WILFRED TEST.

The crowd applauds Leo, but there is no cheering, as if the song has actually connected with the audience. Leo picks up his guitar. Waves to the audience and walks off the stage. The stage is now ready for the next act. And the camera shows Beth Sundon, from Giligan, who is wearing small brown dress and gladiator sandals. She sends a kiss to the camera before the POSTCARD OF GILIGAN is shown.

Leo has been nervous throughout the day, Wilfred Test has had a bad reputation throughout WHF. He hopes that he will have the same impact of Nova Luci, but he knows his song is not as fun. Nonetheless he enters the stage. He didn’t put much into what the stage would look like when he came on, but it was wonderful. The stage was set in a green tinge, with a meadow behind him. He sits on the stool with his guitar and starts playing.

Back in the day, we were friends.
Laughing in the sunset, those were the glory days.
Now in hindsight, it was a major fabrication.
You weren’t the one for me.

You know it too; you just played the happy face.
Laughing in the sunrise, these are the crying nights.
Now I know, I was loving a lie.
I saw you hiding from me.


The stage turns blue, and the meadow behind him is facing a small thunderstorm. Leo’s guitar playing gets quicker but his singing stays as soft.

Why couldn’t we, just get along.
We were childhood friends.
But now, I’m broken by you.
Loving a lie that doesn’t love me.

You didn’t have a drop of regret.
Mornings, and those fake smiles.
You were wasting our time.
I was, just playing along, for my sanity.


The stage turns red, and the meadow is in autumn, but like in WT, even the grass is orange. The guitar playing slows to how it was in the first two verses.

But now it’s all over, we’re apart.
It didn’t have to be like this.
We could have worked this out.
But you just stopped my heart.

He’d say ‘Not good chances of ever loving again’.
I knew it, this was my first and last.

The stage begins to turn a beautiful shade of yellow. The meadow is in spring and is filled with flowers and new trees. The sun has risen above the stage, setting even more light above the crowd.

But, out there, there’s a shimmer of hope.

The stage is set with chairs and tables. Some are battered and broken. The screen behind Beth is a wall of paintings and a window spreading scarce light onto Beth and the props. She is wearing a small brown dress and gladiator sandals and her blonde hair has highlights of chestnut brown. She is sitting by a small portable piano, which she is going to play a soft tune on. She begins to sing.

In my home town a million years ago.
There was a home, an empty home.
A home of inspiration, a home of desperation.
I used to play there, but now I sing there.

Deep in the meadow, under the willow.
There was a shrine, to peace and serenity.
I used to sit on the old wooden floor.
Don’t sit on the creaky ones.

Once I was there, I would write songs.
Of princesses, of mighty castles.
As I grew older, those things went away.
It was me in a corner, alone with new songs.

Then it moved, to calming art.
Moves of a paintbrush, fruit and landscapes.
They are on the wall of the dusty shell.

Small orange lamps begin lighting, it surrounds the stage in a beautiful light, the light from the ‘window’ vanishes, leaving the stage in this strange orange light.

But now I’ve grown up.

This is the end of childish stories.
Some might find this song a little tiring.
But it won’t grow old in my heart.
Just like the home of ancients.

The orange lights go out and the stage is once again surrounded by the normal lights of the stadium. She smiles at the crowd’s cheers, and blows kisses to them. She then says a happy ‘Thank You!’ to the audience, and runs off so the next amazing singer can enter the stage.

The orange lights go out and the stage is once again surrounded by the normal lights of the stadium. Beth Sundons smiles at the crowd’s cheers, and blows kisses to them. She then says a happy ‘Thank You!’ to the audience, and runs off so the next amazing singer can enter the stage, who is Sheila Atkinson. She appears coming up from the Special Trapdoor Zone looking at the cameras with a happy look and with her crew waving flags of Eeri. Then it starts... The POSTCARD FOR EERI.

The stage was set up just right for her act, she had a couple of accompany musicians along side her just there for the background mostly but who knows maybe she'd start a band with them someday but right now it was a struggle to get noticed. The lights are bright and just a little warm, combined with her nerves it's making Sheila perspire a bit. She swallows her nerves and cues up her bass The opening bridge consists of her on the Bass, along with a Guitar, and a Fiddle. The three play an equal dynamic, for one minute. The lights go low and rise up for mood lighting.

A duet between Sheila and her fiddle player.

Sheila Atkinson was shown exiting through the right-side ramp; just as RockRyuJin appeared on the left-side ramp, with his face covered by a hood, ready to go to the stage. His crew was waving Chinese flags and greeting all their friends and relatives on TV. Then, the POSTCARD FOR CHINESE REGIONS was shown.

"Thank you Harrikes! Thank you world!" Says RockRyuJin before exiting the stage. The camera shows Isabella Cardosa in the left side ramp wearing a short dress and with her brown hair falling in waves down to her shoulders. She looks at the camera rapidly with a smile, as she rushes off to go to the stage. Therefore, the POSTCARD FOR PRINCETA starts already.

Hell and Back - Isabella Cardosa


The Princetan singer, Isabella Cardosa walks onto the stage, wearing a short dress similar to this and her brown hair falls in waves down to her shoulders. She stands on the stage and smiles at the crowd as the backround of the stage turns into a light blue color. Around her, the ground of the stage turns the same hue, except the pattern on the floor of the stage resembles to top of an ocean and the walls of the stage resemble crashing waves. She winks playfully at the crowd as yellow lights, shine down upon her, making it look likt the sun's rays are hitting her as she the music begins.

I don't know why
Everyone
Is talking
About something I didn't do

I don't know when
This will end
I've lost it
I am beyond confused

I'm ignored
Such a bore
To everybody else
I don't know why...

I don't know why...


The backround of the screen now changes so that it looks like she is hovering over the ocean, while the stage floor and walls remain the same.

I am scarred
skin charred
Forever staying with me

Just barely
Made it through
Not quite sure what to do

Everything is so blurry
Not sure what I'm meant to see
Now what does everyone want with me?

I don't know what I lack

The stage turns the same color it was before the chorus. Spotlights of different colors make their way over the crowd while a single yellow spotlight remains over Isabella.

The backround turns back into an ocean-like manner, this time, the sky in the picture is stormy and the waves appear angry.

The spotlights begin to move about the crowd more rapidly

I can't feel the same again
Because these scars are showing

It's too bad, because everyone wants more


The stage goes completely dark for the next verse. Only the single spotlight on Isabella remains

The stage lights up again in its usual ocean theme

Isabella waves to the crowd and smiles. She happily walks off stage with a large smile frozen on her face as the crowd cheers
