Blame archaeologists!

Postby The Archregimancy » Mon Apr 01, 2013 1:04 am

I blame archaeologists for the zombie outbreak...

Always digging around in ancient tombs, uncovering Secrets Man Was Not Meant to Know (whether of ancient eldritch races, long-lost alien civilisations, or long-lost ancient alien eldritch race civilisations).

Clearly the only solution is to round up all the archaeologists on NS, and then offer them up as blood sacrifices to the terrible zombie gods.

Who's with me?

True. But can the guy with a pistol kill the tank? Only if he's Mattias Nilsson.

Hey man, in my defense they used combanation Wingdings 3 and Mesopotamic script. We didn't know what to make of it.

I know the reference; in my copy of the Koran, the translation of Surah 85, al Buruj, has "accursed are the men of the trench" - but that's even an even clearer condemnation of archaeologists, surely?

Fuck Indy. Crap archaeologist doesn't even preserve any of the mechnisms, nor go back with a proper team. Just rushes in and rushes out all willy-nilly without learning anything.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I deny three times that I have any connection to archaeologists, except my newfound zeal to round them all up and offer them as blood sacrifices to appease the terrible zombie gods.

I'm remember that you were posted it as, "curse for the diggers of pit!" It's an overly wrong translation, of course. Ashab Al-Ukhdud referred to the people who dug a burned pit to burn the believers.

But yes, we shall sacrifice archaeologists to the zombie gods.

A hasty scour that doesn't seem to trigger many awful curses beats a leisurely archaeological mission any day.

Indeed, Arch. Now if you would kindly step onto the sacrificial alter special pedestal of honor for our most vehement opposers of those bloody archeologists, we can get this blood offering started!

Special pedestal of honour, eh?

Sounds groovy; say.... it looks a lot like an Aztec sacrificial altar.

Oh, I completely understand. It's just that there are stories of people who masquerade as De-Archeologists, and turn out to be Archeologists in disguise. It breaks your heart, it really does. I'm just saying, if incriminating photos were to appear, it could be the ruin of an Archaeologists career - or indeed life...
