Well you can easily live with the Family without being related to them. My char just sort of moved in with them.

Like technically living in their area, talking to them most, but also wander around a lot. Talk to people go on adventures. Say hi to governments. Make connections. Advance my own agenda. Etc.

Occupation: Pre-End|Current Pre-End: Student, hobbies included writing, drawing, cartography, making mock military battles and running them in simulations, researching history and orders of battle, writing in RPs online, making California secessionist propaganda, being generally as pro-California being awesome as you can get. Now is a... I don't know... Guy...? Probably sells things on the side. Let's say a local politician that lots of people know and like. He doesn't do TOO much because... You know... Anarchy, but he's charismatic and whatever and acts like a local organizer?

Starting Equipment: Few sets of clothes, some *insert currency here*, common handgun and ammunition, ray bands, one set of nice clothes and shoes, basic hygiene products (toothbrush, baking soda, etc.) In addition to other obvious things I'm missing because I can't possibly think of because I'm not in his situation. He isn't poor at all, and is generous with giving things out.

Personality: Really an ambitious yet nice guy. Grew up wanting to see California be the strongest state/country(if it came to that), loving San Francisco, loving the hills and fog and especially that sexy-ass Bay right there. Knows the region inside and out. Knows its weaknesses and strengths better than 90% of people. The End happened when he was fifteen, and he did his best to organize factions and such. Being a teenager he was at a disadvantage. Eventually decided he would work with what others had made, and be the most powerful man in California by using the factions and nations formed since. He's generous and kind and friendly and loves to talk and rap and write and, for the last fifteen years, work. He will gladly let you borrow some money or food or feed you if you're homeless. But, nonetheless, does have his ambitions permanently in mind.
Character Quest: Use extensive knowledge of country-running things and love for learning and great people skills to be elected into highest possible office in the California Union. Then... Well we'll what happens. Also, WRITE ALL THE POLITICAL AND SOCIAL ESSAYS
Moral Alignment: Lawful Good. Even with his ambitions, he has the best interests of everyone in mind. He knows that the style of government the CU is building cannot stand against her enemies. And he would rather die than have California ruled by outsiders AGAIN, after we received this wonderful chance. Also what he writes his essays about.

As I sit here with the beers piling up around me and a particular band's music playing....A thought for a new character grew in my mind. So I pose a question, one I hadn't really considered up to this point:

Are there domesticated animals akin to horses, or better yet do horses still exist in this setting?

WOW I was toasted, that said, a Boarse doesn't seem to fit with what I had in mind and riding a giant scorpion seems....odd for what I had in mind.

Edit: To clarify, I was thinking someone focused on horse-back archery/scouting, not very valuable in san 'fran itself, but helpful once we left the city.

Well I'd rather not sling another character into the mix as it stands, maybe once things get moving i'll work on refining that character a bit more.

That said, I'm trying to get back into Int. Incidents (where I first planted my roots in NS), I'll be doing my best to watch for significant updates but if ya'll don't hear from me once we start rolling again, I'd appreciate a TG, just in case I haven't noticed.

That said, I also start classes in a week or so, I likely won't be able to hop on as frequently as I'd like to when that happens.

Thats fine. Post expectations (specifically length and time involved) will be relaxed for the school season. Give you all with responsibilities some breathing room, so theres no pressure about posting.
