Imperator Cynebald Dumnonii walked along the hallways of the Palatium Tamesis (Thames Palace), hands folded behind him. The early morning sun shone through the window as he quietly reflected on the way things were. His thoughts were interrupted by a crier, "Your Majesty!"

Cynebald looked to the young man who looked frightened. He delivered to him a note. The words on it made his blood feel cold, and gave to him the possibly worst feeling he'd ever felt in his life.

Roma has fallen.

The words were printed in black bold ink, and had the signet of the Teutonic Emperor on it, informing him of the fate of the Roman Empire. He folded the paper up and thanked the boy before walking down the corridor to his throne room. He stopped outside the door and looked in the direction of the rising sun. "A new era begins today... I guess."

The eagle disappeared from sight as Childebrand folded his hands behind him, mounting his horse. He drew his sword and looked at it. The sword of his ancestor, the unifier of the Ripuarii and the creator of Teutonica. He wouldn't fail her. Looking around at the massed soldiers, he shouted, "The Romans have fallen! Germania is now the hegemon of Europe, let us show the Gallic pigs what Germanic steel tastes like! VORWARTS!" The sound of thousands of Germanic men and women roaring echoed back as the soldiers began to march west toward Gaul.

Childebrand lowered his head and thought of the consequences this event would have -- for better, he hoped. Rome was gone, and with it, the only factor keeping the world from falling apart.

"Let the world taste Germanic fire..." was his utterance.

"Salaam, your Majesty!" the trader shouted at the Arabic Sultan as he walked through the markets of Mecca. The trader said, "Did you hear the news, Majesty? The Bulgarian merchant just told me. Rome has fallen, the Germanic barbarians sacked their city, looted their things, and the Emperor abdicated... with the Eastern Empire having fallen, there is now no Roman Emperor left."

The Arabic Sultan, Hashim, was surprised. "Truly? Well, things are about to get interesting, I think..."

It was a warm and pleasant day in the capital of Teyamusar, Yukekise. Yukekise was on the edge of the Teya River, and seemed neatly built. It was sprawling and was built in a leisurely way, yet at the same time was organized, bounded by the walls that separated Yukekise from the rest of Teyamusar.

Sikasir was the rinipa of Teyamusar. He was seen as a descendant of Nupek (light), goddess of the sun and universe, and was said to have been the creator of the world, and thus, he was expected to perform the role as both king, and high priest for the kamuru religion (essentially shinto). His palace served as a shrine to Nupek: in particular, to Taiyishi who was said to be the first rinipa and grandson of Nupek, and attracts a lot of pilgrimage, helping make Yukekise be rich and prosperous due to the pilgrimages and trade.

Up above the courtyard, in his private quarters, Sikasir looked out the window. He was on the highest floor, and he could see all of the city from the window: the tiled roofs, the 10,000 people who lived there, people heading to and from other areas of his realm. In the distance, he saw some fields of crops: much of them dry fields of the Japonica species.

He knew that it took centuries for Teyamusar to expand as far as it did: it even has a puppet state in the Kurils, with him as nipa of the Kurils due to a personal union, though one of his nipas, or lords, represents him on the island. But he heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Sikasir asked, and the door opens. "Ah, tono. What brings you here today?"
The messenger hands Sikasir a map on some bark of a tree, and says, "Your majesty, I have traveled far and wide, outlining the peninsula and the lands that this has been divided into where you control."
Sikasir smiled with glee. He thanked him profusely and after receiving the map, his finger ran on the outline of the peninsula: it felt so accurate, and the divisions seemed accurate. It had the names of the tuya and the major cities on the tuya, but a six pointed star had the name: "Yukekise." The capital of his realm. He set the map down on his desk and said, "Tono, you have done very well. You have described this land well, and now, I shall assign you with another task."
"What is it, your majesty?" he asked.
"Go and fetch me some rice, tono," Sikasir replied.
"Yes, tono," the messenger replied and left. Little did Sikasir know that the day he received the map of Teyamusar was the day the Roman Empire fell...

Cairo, Egypt

The sun rose high over Cairo, shimmering in the waters of the Nile. With the suns rise, a courier ran breathlessly into the Pharaohs palace. Pharaoh Ra-kheperu-neb sits idly in his personal chambers writing a letter to his family in Upper Egypt as the courier burst in. "My Pharaoh!" he began. "Word from Rome! The city was sacked and the emperor has abdicated. Rome is dead." The Pharaoh looked at the man and a grin went across his face. "Excellent. With this, I feel the beginning of a era of history. No longer will we be dominated by the Christians and their Latin blades, no, now we shall wait and see who the next dominant power will be."

Moskva, Vsenyslavia

Tsar Ivan Pavlichenko rode upon his horse through the main street of Moskva accompanied by his Druzhina's and foot soldiers. There was a festival in the empire for the Slavic god Perun, along with the anniversary of the day the Hunnic invaders were repelled from Moskva, with forces lead by Tsar Ivan himself. As he rode to the palace and waved to his citizens, one of his leading commanders approached him. "My lord, the Romans have been vanquished. The Germans sacked the city and their emperor has abdicated." The Tsar closed his eyes and sighed. "You say this as if it is a surprise. Rome has been in its deathbed for the past few years. I only hope that this proves to be a fairer era, one without the Latins."

Ctesiphon, Persia

The Tigris ran peacefully below the great Persian city, indifferent to the constant ebbs and flows of human activity. Yet that activity was of cardinal importance in this capital of the Sassanids today as a messenger arrived to see Shahanshah Peroz I.
"Your Majesty," the messenger said, "News has come from the west. Rome has fallen at the hands of the Ostrogoth people. The Emperor is dead. The Empire is no more!"

"Thank you," Peroz said. This was all he needed to say, for he was about to go to war with the Hephthalites yet again, those monsters who had attacked the empire when it was weak following the seven-year famine. They were north of Christian India and east of Persia proper, which made is imperative to eliminate them quickly, and their king Khush-Newaz.

The news would not reach China for several months.
