"I think it is best for you to see yourself." Muhammad got up, turned around and removed his shirt to show the scars that stretched across his back, along with the branding mark on his upper arm that spelled "Infidel". "The Spainards took me from my home, dragged me to one of their castles and begun to torture me, first by whipping, and then by the branding, only Allah knows what they have done to the others. But, as they took me outside, however, I was saved by a group Mujahideen guerillas. I have been dedicated to help them ever since." He put his shirt back on and sat on a bench. "It is because of this, I must request the help of the caliphate. Please, help me end these crimes against the Muslim faithful."

The Calipha was apoplectic. She nodded, "Fair enough, my son. Go to Algeria, and meet with Selim bin Laden, leader of the Algerian Republic. He will help you in your goals... but just as a trinket, I hereby name you the leading Imam of the Iberian peninsula, you should gather the Islamic hearts and minds." She wrote out a letter, and signed her name on it, and handed it to Muhammad. "Show this to Selim, and use this as your means to rally support amongst your fellow Muslims in Spain. Allah be with you."

Muhammad nodded. "Thank you, Calipha. I shall not disappoint." With this, he left the cell and proceeded to a nearby train station, where he boarded the first train bound to Algeria.

Moskva, Russian Empire

Tsar Nicolas heard of the insurrection in China, and thought of it with great interest. The idea of Russia finally expanding into Central Asia and into the Manchu realms certainly caught his attention. But in order to see his ambition fulfilled, he would have to weaken the chinese. It is because of this he sent delegates to Tibet to discuss arms trade and other means of supplying the rebels.

As the situation in Europe worsened, Salisbury had gone to New York to induce the United Nations to call an emergency session of the Security Council. The Assembly accepted his request, and all current members were called to New York to assess the worsening situation in the world.

Just as Thekchen Yama's rebellion had been subdued, the Earl of Elgin had now received news of the Tibetan revolution. Since Tibet was on India's northern border, they had reason to be concerned regarding this assault on their ally. He now sent a message to London asking what should be done in regard to this sudden move. He also prepared the 6th Bengal Army to head to Guanzhicheng to assist the Chinese Afghans in protecting the region.

The Japanese ambassador to the United Nations, Paul Yakushi, attended the UN summit called by Britain. The Japanese government was attending to discuss the French coup and China's little Tibetan problem -- but he had his orders.

At the same time, the Japanese ambassador to the United Kingdom delivered to Queen Victoria a memorandum from Alexander, stating that "Japan is currently considering covert support for the Tibetan revolutionaries -- however, we wish to secure the support of the United Kingdom in this endeavour, as we would rather not see another Great War erupt on our continent against a nation we have been kin with for so many generations."

In Paris, Foch delivered a speech broadcasted across France. "The victory of the will of our movement has triumphed, as the Imperial Legion now marches through the Arc d'Triomphe, banner of the French State waving proudly. I deliver upon you, France, a new era. Where we shall not go hungry, where we shall not dig through our pockets looking for enough francs for a loaf of bread, to where we shall have houses, warm and furnished, for everyone. We shall not fail in our mission to restore France, and we shall do it together."

Queen Victoria read the letter, and sent a telegram to Salisbury announcing her position. She then sent a memorandum back to her nephew and a copy to the Viceroy:

As worrying as it is to see our neighbours in such convulsions, I will personally support and assist in any action that is undertaken by the Japanese Government. I have already sent a message to the Prime Minister on this matter, and I expect he will agree that it is the right thing to do at this time.

Algiers, Algeria

Muhammad's train reached its destination in the heart of Algeria. He walked outside, grasping the letter the Calipha had given him in Konstantinyye. As he had stepped off of the train, his eyes searched for the man he had been told of named Selim.

Lhasa, Tibet

The Russian delegation arrived in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibetan revolution. When in the city, one of the diplomats Fyodr Urakov, requested an audience with Generalissimo Gyaltsen over a possible alliance or support from the Russian Empire.

Lhasa, Tibet

The Deputy Ambassador to the British Raj arrived in Tibet in his new post as Ambassador to Tibet. Bearing good tidings from the Japanese Emperor, he arrived in Lhasa within minutes of the Russian delegation. He came to offer military aid to Tibet to weaken the Chinese Empire's influence in Asia.

When the Generalissimo heard the news about the delegations, he was ecstatic with joy, and was even noticeably walking with a spring in his step. As he walked into the conference room, he could hardly contain his excitement; "Welcome, ambassadors, to Tibet! Our people welcome your delegations with open arms!", he shouted, offering his hand to shake.

Oleksandr decided to officially publish what he regards as his greatest work, Moya borotba. In this novel, book initially begins with Oleksandr's background, in which he describes his childhood, early aspirations, and the conflict he felt when he was expected to follow his father's footsteps. Oleksandr begins the book by describing his childhood with a cold mother and a mostly absent father. He tells about the loneliness he felt as a child since the death of his brother a few months before his 16th birthday at the hands of a Tatar beggar whom he tried to give money to. The book then goes on to describe the other maluses the Tatars have caused in his life, them peaking at the death of his father. He does on to talk about how the Tatar race has caused nothing but suffering for the civilised people of the world, referencing Carasso's book on Tatar inferiority multiple times. Indeed, the majority of the book focuses on his hatred of the Tatar race, in which he refers to them as "parasites" and uses words such as "disgust" when referring to them.

Caracas, Venezuela

Ernesto sat at his desk uneasy. He had two copies of a letter before him, one bound for Bogota, and the other for Guatemala City, the letters Ernesto wrote, he wrote with confidence that had seemed to disappear once they lie before him. For it had just hit him now the gravity of what he could potentially do with the sending of these letters and founding a South American Union. But, it was with renewed reassurance that he handed the letters over to his diplomats to Tawantinsuyu and the USCA, refraining to send letters to the unstable regions of Guyane and Brazil.

Image

To: Empress Maritza of Tawantinsuyu
President Miguel Bolivar of the United States of Central America

Hola,

I hope this letter finds you both in good health and I hope that you will hear out my plan. You see, I am sure I am not the only South American leader whom was invigorated by Antoni Belinsky's novel about Confederate oppression. It was in the wake of this realization, I composed this letter, and while it's contents may not be much, I assure you it's value is far greater.

I write to you two today in hopes of establishing a union between the South American states, not just an economic one, but a military one as well, just like the OAS. Now, I had this idea in the realisation that the Confederate Americaners of the north cannot be accounted upon to be our defenders and I see them as our foreign hegemon, for they appear to seek to control us, to use us as our previous overlords have, and to keep us in line with fervent fearmongering about an eminent European invasion should we take our leave of the Confederate empire. But this is all because the CSA knows it cannot subject us all with it's military. We, along with any allies we may find would overpower them in a war.

Now, it is because of this I ask you both to meet here in Caracas, on February the 7th, so that we may discuss our new pact between our nations.

Lhasa, Tibet

The Russian diplomat nodded. "We will be able to get you guns through the Ilkhanate, and perhaps forces if needed. But do know that these forces shall be disguised as loyalists to your cause, and not be officially dressed as Russian soldiers."

Algeria
Muhammad nodded and sat down patiently, going over his plans for the invasion of Spain in his head.

If we can get them soon, we can hopefully open up a campaign."

The Ambassador returned to his own tent at the camp that had been set up by his diplomatic corps. One such man was a Chinese exile that had fled the Chinese state with the Kuomintang at the start of the Great War. Formerly a military advisor to some Generals, he was adept at writing out orders. In this case; he was writing a set of false correspondents between fictional generals to keep as an emergency should China retake Lhasa. In the Chinese briefcase also contained a cyanide capsule and a pistol to commit suicide with -- as well as a Chinese general's uniform, taken from a defector.

The Ambassador smiled. Victory was theirs, most assuredly.

Across the Western Russian Empire

In the European provinces of the Russian Empire, dissent has begun to spike following recent attempts to reign in the western duchies in Poland, Finland, the Baltic, and attempts to centralise the Belarussian provinces. For the most part, this had resulted in minor protests, however, the events following January 18th would be known as the January Revolution.

In Helsinki, students staged a mass protest in the main streets of the city, preventing workers from entering factories and effectively shutting down the city.

In Warsaw, however, the dissent took a much less peaceful approach. Polish citizens, young and old, began to arm themselves in rebellion against the Russian government. The ensuing firefight lasted for 3 hours between the Polish citizens and the Russian police, ultimately ended with a victory for the Poles. Following the withdrawal of Russian forces, the citizens began to barricade the streets as the Polish flag flew over Wilanów Palace.

Meanwhile in Belarus, members of the fascist separatist movement, the whiteshirts, began organising rallies in Minsk, Grodno, and Vitsebisk for the fascists.

In fear of an open rebellion, the Russian government mobilised the reserves and began stationing them across the Western parts of the Russian Empire.

Lhasa, Tibet

The Russian diplomat nodded and walked over to his and the delegations tent. He wrote a letter back to the Tsar informing him of the success in Tibet and unaware of the troubles in Western Russia.
