Uni, just how much of South Africa were you planning on taking? Pretoria's in Transvaal(and will be in Gauteng), not Natal.

Tawantinsuyu certainly doesn't care much about Brazil at this stage.
Luziyca wrote:Guyane would not, unless if Brazil tries to retake the parts of Amapa that Guyane acquired.

Since Amapa's capital OTL Macapa probably falls under Guyanese control, I might rename it to "Ville des Dames", or the City of the Ladies in reference to the mythological Amazons, and would probably be the second largest city in the country after Pichegru, and ahead of Georgetown/Ville de Guerrier Marat.
I know, I'm just not sure if Brazil doesn't care much about Tawantisuyu, Venezuela, and Guyane. You three essentially ganged up on Brazil to steal its land for no real reason other than "because we can". You then humiliated them further by easily winning. The Brazilian people almost certainly despise you, and the government might seek to tap into populist sentiment by promising revenge against the people who effectively beat up Brazil and stole its lunch money. On the other hand, Brazil almost certainly does not have the military capability to take on all of its neighbors, and its main ally- the Confederacy- is not interested in fighting a war. They're only going to be involved in the Second World War because Japan attacks them, when it comes down to it. Brazil desperately wants revenge, but it can't get it. Do Brazil's leaders attempt to get revenge but risk further humiliation, or do they recognize that they have next to no chance of winning and risk the wrath of the Brazilian people?

Pretoria is Angola, filled with Dutch settlers and Boer exiles. The Dutch gave it the same name as a South African city after one of the "founding families" of Dutch Africa; the capital is Volhaven (Luanda)

Duly noted. :)

Also: France and the Netherlands haven't united yet. That doesn't happen until the 1940s.

I can safely say I no longer have any clue if Poland, Finland, Lithuania and are independent yet because I can't remember what changes we made to their history, Uni's listed them as independent after the First World War IIRC, and Boji's listed them as Russian before the Second World War.

Alright.

So... in 1894ish, Czechoslovakia becomes independent from Germany; in 1910 the Lithuanians and Finns become independent from Russia and the Poles become independent from both Germany and Russia.

Yeah. Russia does not have a very good time in 1910. It loses a lot of land, gets defeated by Ruthenia, and the Tsar is out of power.

At least it does not lose as much as China.

That was why China became fascist.

For reference, yes, Justin Trudeau was born in Ottawa in 1971; that was because his father, Pierre Trudeau, was Prime Minister of Canada between 1968 and 1979 and the capital of Canada is Ottawa. Given that Pierre, who was born in Montreal, would be Quebecois ATL- and is indeed Prime Minister of Quebec between 1970 and 1982- it seems probable that Trudeau would be born in Ville du Quebec, the capital of Quebec, rather than in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.

Thomas Mulcair was actually born in Ottawa in 1954, and didn't move to Ville du Quebec until 1978. So Mulcair is yours. Harper is from Toronto and lives in Calgary, so no contest there.

For the Liberals, you could use Michael Ignatieff- who was born in Toronto- or Bob Rae- who was born in Ottawa- or Dominic LeBlanc- who was born in Ottawa.

Well, it did experience a civil war which hastened the rise of the fascists... They would be oppressing the Uighurs, and probably implement a form of discrimination, by banning Islam and only enforcing that law on the Uighurs (the Hui would be tolerated), and segregating Uighurs to undesirable parts of town.

Needless to say, the Uighurs really want independence, and Xinjiang's equivalent of the Bloc Quebecois is determined to gain independence.

The New York Times

Liberals Take Majority, Pollsters Surprised

In a surprising move, the Liberal Party won a substantial majority in Parliament tonight after being shut out in Atlantic Canada and New England. Liberal Party Leader John Kerry won his own riding in Boston by a substantial margin, and has received a projected majority of 252 seats out of the 448-member House of Commons. The Conservatives led by Stephen Harper and the NDP led by Thomas Mulcair both saw substantial defeats, and the NDP lost most of their seats in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ontario, and British Columbia that gave them their opposition status in 2011. Harper is expected to resign from the Conservative leadership later tonight.

An online bulletin, naturally.

Public memorandum on technological advancement...

Could we progress to WW2-level technology by 1914? With World War I already having much of OTL WW1's technology (and being twenty years prior); could we see the emergence of tanks and things early?

Nuclear weapons could be adjusted as well, but I don't wanna bring those into the world a loooong way before 1945.
