Right, since New Orleans seems to be settled, we're jumping to July 1(Nigerian independence day). From there, well be wrapping up part 3.

I think 1897 will work, and we'll do some time skips as necessary since we're going all the way to the present day in this one.

Agreed. As far as I can tell, 1897 is a major transition point for several of the groups I have:
- Czechoslovakia has its 3rd president entering office
- Galicia has a presidential election
- Hungary has a recently-elected Palatine
- Aleksandre Svanidze is soon-to-die
- Nikolai II is a new-crowned king
- Hendricks has a year left as CS president
- Rio Grande will be on the verge of having a new Consul
- al-Mayiquh's wali is new to the job
- the leader of Tehuantepec will die in 1897
- a Zanzibarian sultan also dies in 1897
- Hayim ben Tziyon will leave the ZWC's presidency

YET MORE AWWA ERB

Uni wanted this. So did I. So here it is.

FERDINAND EICHEMANN versus GEORG VON LICHT

EICHEMANN: Once in a century most bloody, there was an author most unlucky,
With anger issues, driven from his home, massively egotistic-
Ah, but you'll still pretend that you could beat me.
I'll forever be better, you'll never be near me,
Your books are as deep as Gaius LeFevre!
Your stories are little more than mediocre,
Overhyped because they "predicted" the "future".
You're a Victorian troll, my writing's known the world over!
I wrote in spite of my rage, making page after page,
My stories are still on the world stage, but yours are just you beating off on a page!

VON LICHT: You wanna act up, you pathetic little runt,
When you could barely even fight Hayim ben Tziyon?
There's a pathetic wannabe Turkish laughingstock
Against a von Licht, thinking he has a Righteous Cause!
A bigoted little author who ran and hid to save his image,
Versus the man who blew the world away with works of warning wrapped in fiction-
I'm making politicians shivery and jittery, my enemies know neither Peace nor Victory!
You ought to run, Eichemann, or you'll end up like Karl-
Even your name is something that you went and stole.
I deliver Liberty and Justice to the Miserable Ones,
You're as bad as Ernst trying to kill the Fiegenbaums.
My achievements rack as I pen fat stacks,
Of political writing, you've seen the pile!
I don't see a problem with criticizing my homelands
Because speaking the truth is always worth my while.
A New Zion? Barely even worth noting. The Sublime Porte? You used my plotlines.
Declaring that Tatars are only worthy of slavery? That's just disturbing.

EICHEMANN: Georg, you just pretend to do it, I'm actually living through it-
Zionism, racism, political woe. I see through you like pantyhose,
Writing about the ancient past or the distant future!
At least you aren't your son, but you really shouldn't be so dumb to be messing with the world's greatest author!
In a minute maybe Meiji'll show up and mention how your horrid weapons became something that inspired her!

VON LICHT: Speaking of horror, you're even worse- inspired Mussolini and Oleksandr!
Before too long you were trying to do something better to fix the damage you'd caused with past bestsellers!
I'm so prolific that this bearded nutjob won't be bothering me, I'm on a clobbering spree
And I'll be smacking you with any of the big thick books in my massive bibliography!
See, I'm the author with the dystopic horror galore that'll horrify the world to the core.
Respect, money, power, talent- you stole yours from me, and never had your own.

A bit for mine: for starters, new Guyanese President (or second term), Emperor-Dowager near death and no longer Emperor for the past two years, with his daughter ruling as Empress Catherine I.

Well, that's the end of part 3. Thank you all so much for being part of this RP, and I'll see you on the Part 4 OOC, which might not be up until tomorrow!

In the meantime, here's my list for 1897:

Australian agitation for unity continues
Queen VIctoria's diamond jubilee and Prince Edward's increase in responsibilities
The West Guyanese Communist Party won its first seats in 1895
and more that I just don't have time for

My list for 1897:
- Alexander's own Diamond Jubilee, held in London with his aunt, celebrating their reign
- The end of the Chinese Republic-in-exile, James Sun files the "Sun-Yamato Act", formally turning the Republic of China into a monarchy, to which the Supreme Diet unanimously elects Alexander and bequeaths him the title "Emperor of China". Alexander refuses to accept the crown, and instead dissolves the little Chinese state in exile, and threatens to imprison James Sun if he doesn't comply.
- Japan lifts the trade ban on countries effected by Canadian Flu, and a small outbreak happens entirely on accident (which will end up killing Alexander and Elizabeth)
- The Dutch government begins the "Settlement Act", expanding on the encouragment to migrate to the colonies to make them Dutch. Prisoners, poor persons, and others are encouraged to go to the colonies and start families so the country will be populated. A large surge in birth rate and migration rate in the Netherlands results from this.
- Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands will be declared fit to rule in 1897 by Emma.
