The Central European Demilitarized Zone(German: Mitteleuropäischen Entmilitarisiertezone; Hungarian: Közép-Európai Demilitarizált Zóna; Czech: Středoevropská Demilitarizovaná Zóna; Slovak: Stredoeurópska Demilitarizovaná Zóna; Polish: Strefa Zdemilitaryzowana Środkowoeuropejski), often called the Iron Curtain(German: Eisernen Vorhangs; Hungarian: Vasfüggöny; Czech: Železná Opona; Slovak: Železná Opona; Polish: Żelazna Kurtyna) is a strip of land running along the German and Hungarian borders with Czechoslovakia and some regions of Poland. The DMZ was created in 1896 following the Uzhorod Armistice Agreemeent, which declared a ceasefire between Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Galicia. The purpose of the demilitarized zone at the time of its creation was to prevent Germany and Hungary(which claimed Czechoslovakia and Galicia and their territory) from invading Czechoslovakia and Galicia. Following the 1991 Polish Annexation of Galicia, Hungary dropped its claims over Galicia and the Galician Zone was abandoned; however, Germany and Hungary have not dropped their claims in Czechoslovakia, leaving the Czechoslovak Zone operational. Despite its name, the area is actually one of the most heavily fortified zones in the world.

I feel kind of like Asia and Europe have polar-inversed in this timeline. Asia is a prosperous realm trying to unite itself into a federation of nations with common currency, common law and brotherly love toward each other -- while Europe's got a heavily militarized DMZ, militant nations left and right, and no such cohesion.

I got an idea: perhaps Obama (and his family) as well as the rest of that concentration camp could be freed by the Crusaders in early 1964 (before Easter Sunday 1964). Most of the camp would be taken to a ship that the Portuguese used to transport their crusaders to Indonesia in the first place crewed by 75 Portuguese crusaders. The Crusaders show their human side, giving them nutrition and health supplies and not being brutal, and sail from an Indonesian port that the Crusaders had in one of three ways.

1) West towards Somalia. Here, I may decide that goes through the Suez Canal, heads to the Mediterranean, sails to Lisbon where they are shown to the world as evidence of Indonesian brutality, then releasing those from Europe (or whose ancestors were there), then sailing to the CSA to drop off the inhabitants that were from there (including Obama).
2) Above except they go 'round the horn to Miami, show them to Americaner media, then after dropping off the Americans, they head to Lisbon to drop the Europeans off.
3) East via the Straits of Malacca to Tokyo to show the Indonesian survivors and to refuel, then onwards to Los Angeles

Their rescue was to try and show the compassionate side of the Crusaders, when in reality, they often killed Muslims if they didn't convert or resisted. Some very young Muslim girls were captured, converted and ordered to tell them "either convert to live, or we will kill you" as well as serve as... you get the picture.

Why would you mass produce the zeppelin? Even then, Germany, Japan, Confederacy and possibly Britain are all already producing zeppelin craft. Norway wouldn't be anything special. Go back to your fish and oil.

Vak, I have an idea for Morocco.

I am thinking that Portugal could enter the Spanish-Moroccan War with the intent to colonize Morocco and keep Spain out of Morocco (or only allow military bases plus perhaps control of Melilla and Ceuta), with the idea that south of the Atlas Mountains, or maybe 32 degrees N, a Spanish-Portuguese protectorate could exist as the Protectorate of Morocco. Or perhaps that area could be Spanish Sahara.
