An ETC rarefraction wave gun is something of 2030+, not 1995. Additionally the tank does not carry sufficient ammunition to engage in a day's battle.

Remove the radar: why? Artillery observation units will pick up the distinctive signals from your radar and direct DPICM or PGMs to your forces. A tank is essentially defenceless against these weapons and the result is your force will be destroyed before it even commits to battle.

Cost of the death of a tank company due to artillery observation spotting its radar signatures: $213 million
Cost of training the now dead crew of this company to use this extremely mechanically and electronically complex beast: A LOT.

Radars are featured on tanks, but not the type you are suggesting.

Recommendations:
Main armament: 120-mm smoothbore
Coaxial armament: any 7.62mm GPMG

Propulsion: (if maintain 70 tons weight:)
1600 BHP - 70kph top speed

Armour (if maintain 70 tons weight:)
Between 300-950mm on front axis, 450-1100mm on front turret
Between 100 and 300mm on sides chassis, 600-900mm on side turret

The tank is additionally underpriced. I would double the price.

1. Why do people here hate 140 mm, ETC, and Rarefraction Wave guns? I do know they are young tech, but I wanna slam them on my tank cannon. Like Lyras does. But they are all abandoned tech. But still I wanna slam ETC on my tank. Therefore, may I take a few freedoms and slam a 5-inch/127 mm ETC Rarefraction Wave Gun on my tank?

2. So I can get rid of my EW suite. Good. Now I just lost soft-kill. But guys, how is my hard-kill suite? And I want a soft-kill suite...please suggest a few things.

For this application you might require something in higher frequency. Say 35 Ghz or 94 Ghz (K or M band) It can provide high resolution in very small antenna and still offer good all weather performance with only moderate radiated power requirement (some tens or at most one hundred of watt) For typical ground surveillance need (3-5 km) and large target such as other tank.

For other application though, such as hardkill Active Protection System against APFSDS. The radiated power requirement can go as high as 2-3 Kilowatt.

I recently read, or more like someone helped us all translating it.. piece of information about what Russian will do next in their MBT. It is yes based on forum discussion BUT the one who spewing it out has so far proven to be reliable.

1.Приоритет огневая мощь-152 БУДЕТ (НО НЕ СРАЗУ) И ТОЧНО НЕ С ПОРОХОВЫМИ ВЫСТРЕЛАМИ. Мин обороны профинансировало работы по ЭТХП ДЛЯ КОАЛИЦИИ НАРЕЗНОЙ ВАРИАНТ ДЛЯ АРМАТЫ.....125ММ!!!!! Хрен знает что их торкнуло!!! Дополнимтельный объём в корпусе между МТО и БМ топливный бак..но в перспективе будет использован как баки для метательной жидкости. Украинские события заставили вояк согласиться с работами по ЭТПХ как перспективными с возможностью внедрения в срок до 5ти лет.телескопами"-и как всегда наши "телескопы" самые пузатые в мире.!!)) 57мм на Армате не будет! EDIT: So I can't have an EW suite on my tank. Damn. Wanted a Lyranesque tank. But I'll just stick to 127 mm ETC Rarefraction if you allow. Actually ElectRA (as I would like to name it to differentiate it from explosive RA) could be of great potential, as I think it can be theoretically placed on every side of the tank.

And my hard-kill suite will only protect against missiles i.e. RPGs, Kornet-EMs, TOWs, etc.

Do you mean you just have the front of the tracks sticking out the front as was fairly common in all sort of tracked vehicles or are you going full rhomboid like the WW1 heavies?


Also that is a huge time period with a lot of major advances. Anything of ww1 vintage was really completely obsolete by the mid 1920s and anything from the mid 20s was pretty much done by the mid 30s/early 40s and anyhting prior to ww2 would be well and truely done with by the end of it.

Perhaps you are looking at something like the british medium series (mark a whippet to the Mark c) although none of them had turrets.

The M3/M5 Stuart was a very effective scout tank. Sure, nothing like the Mark IV, but it was used for a while by countries well after the war.

TIS was available for tanks in the late 1970s. Any tank made in the 1980s would (or should) have it.
