Reichstag passes new naval law authorizing naval expansion; Longswords to be scrapped

Germania, Brandenburg - New legislation was passed in the Greater Aryan Race today, paving the way for an accelerated and gargantuan build-up of the German Navy in what is surely one of the largest naval construction programmes authorized in German naval history since the naval arms race between Great Britain and Imperial Germany in the 1900s and the remilitarisation of Nazi Germany in the years preceding the Second World War.

The Third Naval Law, taking it's name after the first two Naval Laws passed by the Reichstag since the promulgation of the Fascist Era in 2011, was passed by both the Reichstag and Reichsrat before being signed into law by Reich Chancellor and Führer Bogislav Friedrich-Wilhelm. The new Naval Law calls for the expansion of the current Kriegsmarine towards a nearly four thousand-ship navy, with roughly one hundred and fifty aircraft carriers operational by 2025, an increase from the current twenty-two operational carriers. The Third Naval Law also mandates the expansion of the Kriegsmarine's battleship fleet to fifty such vessels by the end of this working year and at least one hundred and fifty by 2025. Currently, the Kriegsmarine maintains thirty active battleships in the form of the so-called Iowa-Class. Several other articles of the Third Naval Law also mandate and specify the expansion of various other classes of naval vessels such as submarines and amphibious assault ships.

To achieve this tremendous new naval construction project, the new naval law calls for the allocation of an annual budget of nearly 1.5 trillion Reichmarks for the construction of the proposed vessels, in addition to the current 1.745 trillion Reichmarks allocated to the Kriegsmarine in total.

Kriegsmarine Chief Grand Admiral Siegfried Heisenberg, the architect of the Third Naval Law, was one of many speakers who spoke during the debates urging the parliamentary deputies to throw their political support behind the Third Naval Law.

"As it stands, the Kriegsmarine must continue to build and strengthen it's existing capabilities so that we may finally have a true blue-water fleet capable of protecting the naval interests of the Reich. It is wholly foolish for us to assume that we can afford to rely on the naval forces of foreign powers to protect our own naval merchant shipping and interests in the Reich."

"This new Naval Law and the clauses contained inside it will help rectify the Navy's own manpower and vessel shortage while amplifying our capabilities for greater force protection against Sondria and the world."

In another surprising twist, the Third Naval Law also calls for the gradual decommissioning and scrapping of all of the Kriegsmarine's Slava-Class missile cruisers and Longsword-Class supercapital warships, with the latter estimated to number thirteen such vessels in total.

The decision, according to Grand Admiral Heisenberg, was undertaken only after very serious consideration was given towards discussing the future composition and maintainability of the Kriegsmarine's fleets and ships, with the Grand Admiral citing "technical and operational issues" as being responsible for the decision to remove the Longswords from the Kriegsmarine. Accordingly, the Slava-class cruisers will be sold to any prospective buyer while the Longsword-class vessels will either be resold back to the Lyran Protectorate, the original creator of the Longswords, or scrapped and used for any other purposes.

Although the Bill passed with a clear majority in both the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament, the parliamentary debates were not without considerable controversy as several members of the upper-chamber Reichsrat slammed the Bill as "unnecessarily favoring the expansion of the Navy at the expense of our land forces".

"It's absurd, what the Kriegsmarine is trying to push for," exclaimed Lieutenant-General Thorsten Kassebaum, a sitting member of the Reichsrat. "The Greater Aryan Race's military strength has always been in a strong and powerful land-based Army. Diverting crucial government funds, at a time where we should be looking to reshape our ground forces, towards a frivolous ship building scheme will only serve to accomplish the wastage of trillions of Reichmarks."

Other deputies were sanguine, postulating if the increase in naval strength could potentially trigger off another naval arms race in Sondria akin to that which had gripped Europe in the early 1900s.

Grand Admiral Heisenberg however, was quick to play down any talk of a naval arms race, reaffirming to the Reichstag that the current German naval expansion is meant wholly for "peaceful and defensive purposes" and are in no way "directed against any neighbouring state".

"We love peace and will remain on a path of peaceful development but that doesn't mean giving up our rights, especially involving the nation's core interests," he was quoted as saying by the official Deutsche Presse-Agentur (German News Agency).

Historically, the Greater Aryan Race traditionally an inwardly focused continental power, is becoming a seagoing giant with a powerful navy to complement its huge ship-borne trade.

"As the Greater Aryan Race grows, the Reich's maritime power also grows," says Nicolas Rossel, director of the Centre for the Study of German Foreign Policy at Erfurt University. "The Greater Aryan Race's neighboring countries should be prepared and become accustomed to this."

Jagis National Council Refuses Erjunhite Deployment; CAF Announces Withdrawal

Some elements of the Crontorian National Guard have already begun their withdrawal into Crontor.

Jole- Following a recent announcement by the Elder Republic of Erjunhuf to deploy hundreds of thousands of military personnel to Jagis in order to assist in the reconstruction efforts came a decree from the newly formed Jagis National Council which today unanimously decided to refuse Erjunhite assistance and troop deployments. This was immediately followed by a declaration by the Crontorian Armed Forces Northeastern Command that the Crontorian peacekeeping mission, known as Operation Unified Resolve, was officially over. Negotiations between the JNC and the CAF established a timetable for withdrawal with the last Crontorian soldiers to leave Jagis within the next three months. Responsibility for security has been handed to the Jagite Defense Force although Crontorian officials from the Combat Coordination Agency will remain in Jagis to continue oversight of the training and equipping of the JDF.

Many analysts have expressed surprise with the willingness of the CAF and the Imperial Federation to withdraw personnel from Jagis only a few months after the conclusion of the war. While the CCA has managed to make significant inroads with the training of the JDF, the lack of Crontorian peacekeepers will certainly be felt in the transition period between the withdrawal and the formal deployment of the JDF to positions across Jagis. The Imperial Federation will remain active in the country however, with personnel from the Ministry of State working in every single Jagite city and town to distribute aid, rebuild institutions, and provide other essential services. Reports from the Ministry of State and the JNC suggest that the process of reconstruction has been smooth and effective, noting that an influx of foreign soldiers and personnel could very well disrupt the process.

According to the JNC, the Erjunhite offer amounted to an invasion and the continued presence of foreign troops was both unwelcome and unneeded. Coming from a country recently shattered by foreign invasion and fought over by regional powers, this sentiment is natural. Speaking about the Jagite announcement, Minister of State Suderity said that he both respected the Jagite wish to see the withdrawal of Crontorian soldiers and formally asked the Erjunhites to reconsider their planned deployment of soldiers, citing the wishes of the JNC and the Jagite people. A continued presence of foreign peacekeepers, he said, would do far more to undermine the reconstruction efforts, than help them.

Seoul, The Great Korean Empire-In only a recently confirmed story, a group of Korean tourists visiting the State of S'ua Tozza on what was supposed to be pleasant trip end up turning out to be their last. They were found dead early morning after friends and family noticed that they hadn't arrived on schedule at the airport as they had previously agreed with each other last they meet. Several of the bodies were found to be mutilated and the culprits behind this heinous action are thought to be rioters though government sources point towards culprits more "sinister" in origin. This is thought by intelligence experts to be the Kuatiomaya Special Forces.

The Korean government though it sympathizes with the need for unification as a cause behind the invasion of S'ua Tozza by the Sa’vahnnese Eyukate Federatsii, it must nonetheless condemn the chaos caused, require an official apology from the Yalosii government, and compensation for the lives lost in this brutal attack. However this is not the only criticism towards the actions of the Yalosii government recently. "The Yalosii government has exchanged the well-being of it's children who hunger and are not fed, who cold and are not clothed for it's own militaristic goals." stated Prime Minister Yi. A protester stated "The hypocrisy of the Yalosii government can clearly be seen by looking at the propaganda they spew out while comparing it with their own living conditions."

Reports clearly show the conditions that the Yalosii people live in which is nothing more than complete and utter poverty in back-water villages still not repaired since the devastating conflict with Triad forces years ago. "While neglecting their own people these fascists preach their lies on every street corner encouraging and brainwashing innocent people to fight a war of unrighteous vengeance and fascism while their "leaders" are away in foreign countries celebrating. This clearly unprovoked attack though having a "good" cause behind can't be supported as the end clearly doesn't justify the means.

Innocent civilians who have immigrated from Azafallite or Ondorian territory are being attacked and brutally murdered without a hint of remorse despite the fact that they may be women, children, or even old folk. Businesses are being robbed and women are being raped and men stabbed. It is complete and utter anarchy. Vital and crucial infrastructure has been attacked through cyber-warfare all of which are vital in a modern society making this situation much worse. Empress Seondeok has called upon the Sondrian Regional Council to keep close tabs upon the brewing conflict and to make sure that no human rights violations nor war crimes occur.

And that the ambitions of the Kutiomaya “Patriotic Socialist” Party do not subject innocent civilians and bystanders to pain, inequality and violence as Ayamai Ku herself declared in her message to every major Sondrian head-of-state. And despite the warnings given by Ayamai Ku on the part that a state of war shall exist between any state that offers any form of aid to the S'ua Tozza, her Royal Majesty Empress Seondeok has given the authorization to send humanitarian supplies over to S'ua Tozza for distribution to the people. In order to safeguard the people delivering much needed supplies in this valiant effort and to secure that said supplies will reach the right places the Imperial Korean Armed Forces will be sending a small peacekeeping force to help in the efforts, to secure the bodies of the dead Korean civilians and bring them home, and to get any remaining Koreans civilians stuck in S'ua Tozza out. Any further attack upon Korean military personnel or civilians will result in appropriate retribution.

Gwacheon, Jiangzhi Recent allegations by defectors from Shaoling of human rights abuses and a deeply concerning chemical weapons program were proven to be substantial, by investigators of the Jianghzese People's Guard, confirmed Jianghzese Secretary of State, Sophia Romanov-Chiang, yesterday, in a press conference with members of the Western Sondrian Media. "I am appalled by the sheer scale of the atrocities being carried out by the fascist Shaoling pigs, and deeply condemn their human and civil rights abuses," she declared, when asked about the situation in Shaoling. "I am further disappointed by their belligerent foreign policy and disdain of international justice and law." The Nationalist Republic of Shaoling, a traditionally a province within the former Jianghzese Empire, is an extremely ruthless, brutal police state, with no respect for the rights of its citizens, and a secretive society, which has been condemned, time and time again for making inappropriate and concerning threats against its Telranian neighbors.

As of recent months, Shaoling's leadership has stepped up its sabre rattling, declaring the existence of a new chemical warfare program with which to "undermine Jiangzhese oppression and imperialism." Recent buildup of T-62 tanks on the Jianghzese-Shaoling border has also increased tensions in the region as the Jianghzese government has begun to also deploy its own military forces and assets to the region, delivering a statement of strength and military prowess to the region as a whole. "We are not weak, and we will not be cowed by idle terrorist threats," General Zhang Guowei, declared in a speech to the Jianghzese People's Army Academy Graduating Cadet class, today, "We will eliminate this threat, and bring stability back to the Telranian continent. We demand that all other nations stay-out. This is a feud between Shaoling and Jianghzi. Interlopers will not be welcome in our struggle."

Shaoling's military, nearly 125 million strong, is outdated, still operating cold-war era tanks and equipment, compared to Jiangzhi's own military of 360 million personnel, about half of which are incorporated in the Jianghzese People's Guard, a gendermerie and policing force. The Jianghzi People's Army is a modern, mechanized volunteer military. The Jiangzhi Nationalist Republic, despite a decade of isolation and a focus of developing domestic infastructure, maintains a large, efficient military, and is beginning to flex its ancient muscles in the face of this new threat to national security. "Rest assured that we will undermine and destroy the Shaoling regime," Zhang Guowei promised the foreign press. "Our soldiers are ready to fight for this great cause, in creating democracy and peace. Chiang-Ji Guo's Shaoling regime must be defeated and liberated, for democratic values and the rights of the people."

Jiangzhi, as the wealthiest and largest nation in Telrania with the exception of the Ngati, has affirmed that it seeks to pursue a path of "friendship and non-imperialism, bolstering its neighbors with financial aid and direct military support in the face of Western imperialism." Despite the authoritarian nature of its government, its people are offered some democratic freedoms in the way of local and "People's Parliament" elections, and enjoy an overall luxurious living standard. While it has been largely inactive in regional affairs for the past decade, many commentators have declared that Jiangzhi will begin to take a more aggressive stance in its foreign policy. In the words of General Zhang Guowei, "The Jianghzese state has no imperialist aims. Instead, it wishes to create a greater sense of prosperity and self-determination in Eastern Sondria, by upholding the territorial sovereignty and national dignity of Telranian states. Our ambitions in Shaoling are not, as they claim, imperialistic, but rather in the interests of Telranian security and friendship."

The proposal for the annexation of the Bayang islands has been passed after a year of political struggles, after the Royal Decree 109, declaring the uninhabited island "under Perlarajan protection". The submitters of the proposal, the nationalist and pro-native Airavata Party has brought up in celebration after the historic event, the first acquisition of land in two centuries.

His Holy Majesty Vardhanahari has addressed the matter as a "way to assert Perlarajan and Victorialan influence in Bahnresia and Telrania, as part of an undisclosed diplomatic plan. Amaya Mani, leader of the party, has expressed her and her party's gratitude by launching a new campaign in the internet called #GreaterPerlaraja. The Golden Congress has no comment on the matter.

"It's a prerequisite", says Mani. "There's conflicrs rubbing up everyehere and our neighbors never seem to budge. What shpuld we do? Find ways to uplift ourselves and the immediate vicinity. I don't know about Utara amd Chattakang, but with Jiangzhi havimg trouble up north we must get immediate solutions. And this bunch of islands are the first part of it."

The Island lies upon 2,234km southeast of Telrania, and is currently unclaimed by any nation except Perlaraja. Recemt expeditions to the island reveal probable sources of natural fuel and other valuable resources. The island shall be named "Bharavaja" once its full annexation and its infrastructural settlement is expected to be finished by 2017. Construction also of military barracks, storehouses and outposts are underway.

President Carter Calls for Withdrawal From Foreign Bases; Announces the End of Crontorian Hosting of International Soldiers

Joint Crontorian-Erjunhite Exercises this past month in Erjunhuf.

Vienna- In an unprecedented and shocking statement given earlier today in the Press Room of the Crontorian Federal Building, President Norman Carter of the Imperial Federation announced his intention to withdraw all Crontorian soldiers from foreign military bases across Sondria and redeploy them to Crontorian territories. This would include millions of soldiers stationed in Deusaeuri, New Samarinda, Erjunhuf, Gristol-Serkonos, and Iohann which have been ordered to begin withdrawing from their facilities shared or owned in those host countries. While soldiers will remain at the Sondrian Capital Islands according to the President, the rest of soldiers stationed abroad will return to bases on Crontorian territory. In addition to this announcement, President Carter asked for all troops sharing base facilities with Crontorian soldiers to withdraw from Crontorian soil. This would include Erjunhite and Gristol-Serkonan soldiers based at joint facilities around Alobordo and Beblis. Triad forces stationed in joint command facilities have also been asked to withdraw at the request of the President.

Following the incident involving Captain Cranico Jr., captured in Marquesan for alleged espionage, relations between the Imperial Federation and her Triad allies have only grown frostier. This move by President Carter comes as a bill to reintroduce the Credit as the formal currency of the Imperial Federation has passed the Imperial Congress and there are proposals for bills calling for complete disassociation and withdrawal from the Triad Pact. President Carter declined to give a statement on either issue when asked by reporters, but instead made a point to note that, “The Imperial Federation is reexamining our commitments to our allies and to the region as a whole at this time and while my decisions may seem rash, they are being done in the best interests of the Imperial Federation as a whole. We must remember to put our own security interests first, not those of our allies.”

Critics have lambasted the decision by the President to withdraw soldiers from abroad, citing the potential disrupting to long standing friendships and the political concessions originally extracted to gain a regional network of bases. President Christian Cranico, the architect of the many of the agreements that saw Crontorian soldiers deployed to all corners of the Imperial Federation declined to comment on the day’s announcement, although some members of the Crontorian Nationalist Party expressed their disagreement with the move that was applauded by the Liberal Democrats and the majority of the Militarists. Redeploying to Crontorian territories will not significantly impact the abilities of the Crontorian Armed Forces say analysts, as the continued CAF presence in areas such as Vrontor, the Arontorian Islands, the Anchli Isles, Fort Bahren, and Drontor still allow the Imperial Federation a greater power projection capability of any nation in the region.

A video was released both online and oncloud this Daikan (Monday), currently circulating in both systems. The video contains a low-quality footage of an elite-level Kampirakurma battalion being brutally killed by what was supposedly warriors of the Bawtanghier Belenggu (Bawtang Nation), a rebel group wanting overthrow of the "Kegarani" Perlarajan government in order to install a Bawtang-dominated government.

The Lotus court has now declared the Paloyyak Republic to be a "High Level Matter" and has authorized a nationwide manhunt against supposed members of the Bawtang nation. Amidst the direct threats against the United Commonwealth by the Imperial Federation of Crontor and the Jiangzhi Nationalist republic the Golden Congress of Victoriala has requested for diplomatic means of interaction against the two nations, calling for peace within Telrania and between the involved parties.

"It's not always a good move to threaten with total war and destruction after a supposed action, especially for what is currently regarded as Terra Nullius by the other members of the Sondrian community. It's poor taste and will only cause aggression within the region." Says Ludvig Aslanson, speaker for Franconia. "We need to find alternatives. We may not please anybody, but it counts for trying."

"These reactions toward a harmless claim on an unclaimed area shows how much mature Eastern Sondria is. Yes, we may have some justifications for claims regarding the islands, but should we point guns at each other just to acquire things?" Says Phowda Kan, prime speaker for the Bhagavate Republic. "Please, let this be not simmer down to war."

Our Sacred Lion Imperial, Kachin Buraki, was more scathing on the matter. "When we were given the Raoshū islands back from the northern Kwoku empire, have we insulted and accused them of defiling words and acts? No! The governments of Crontor and Jiangzhi only speak of destruction against our fellowman for planting a flag in an island no one cares about! Is that what you call 'diplomacy'? Those are threats. They are condemnable for that."

The Perlarajan Consuls only wished for peace and has assured that no unecessary violence would be needed. However, Amaya Mani, leader of the Airavata party has said the following. "Before they brand us with baseless accusations such as fascists or evil, they better first look at their actions. They have not seen what happens at our islands, and thus have no right to judge us that way."

Only Our Sacred Empire of the Min and the Radiant Sovereignty of the Dawn have declared condemnation and agression against the Imperial Federation and the Nationalist Republic, daring both to "pick a finger at one of the Commonwealths".

UFG, Sondria (GBC) — Berescu was praised and applauded for his success in driving the ''Economic Prosperity Act'' into passing in Parliament this weekend. Berescu, who is a delegate and sub-minister in the Economic Ministry pushed for the EPA bill - a two year project and a centre piece to his campaign ahead of Ministrial Elections next month.

The EPA, known as 'Proposition EPB-1403c'' in official preceedings; received majority vote in chamber just this Sunday. Originally the bill had failed in the Senator Commission, requiring two revisions before being proposed on the floor for the full chamber of Parliament. Ministry of Culture Announces Ban on Foreign Religious Practices

Officers from the National Police Administration prepare to take religious practicioners into custody.

Vienna- Earlier today, Crontorian law enforcement and government officials announced their success in carrying out a series of raids against religious establishments across the Imperial Federation. Teams of officials from the National Police Administration (NPA), Federal Contraband Enforcement Administration (FCEA), and the Ministry of Culture launched a nationwide campaign of arrests and forced closures of religious buildings in order to bring about compliance with the Cronist Purity Act, passed last week by the Imperial Congress and signed into law yesterday by President Norman Carter. The law, supported publicly by the Ministry of Culture, declares all non-Cronist religions and their places of worship illegal in the Imperial Federation and calls for the immediate abandonment of these practices.

Simultaneous raids across the nation have shut down hundreds of churches, mosques, and synagogues while arresting thousands of worshippers in attendance at various services. Under the law, these sites are to be placed under the control of the Ministry of Culture which plans to demolish what the Ministry has labeled ‘symbols of the continuing moral degradation of the country’. The Committee for the Promotion of Crontorian Culture (COMPROC) celebrated the passage of the law and subsequent police actions, comparing the various religious sects as active plotters looking to undermine the safety and security of the Imperial Federation. Persons arrested over the course of the raid were charged with treason and public disturbance, charges that do carry guaranteed imprisonment if proven guilty.

Religious minorities in the Imperial Federation are few and far between, with many leaving or staying out of the Imperial Federation because of perceived xenophobia by the Crontorian population. Although Cronism is the most widely practiced faith, many Crontorians acknowledge that they had no faith or practice a very secular version of Cronism. Foreign religions are therefore rare in the Imperial Federation, concentrated in offshore territories or centers of immigration.

The Ministry of Culture, which is the newest government ministry of the Imperial Federation, was established in the first few weeks of the Carter administration. Critics have charged that it is a wasteful expansion of the bureaucracy and questioned the need for such an organization. Carter concentrated a host of government agencies from other ministries alongside newly created ones with the overall stated aim to promote the stability of the culture and society of the Imperial Federation. Other critics have taken aim at the Public Information Bureau or PIB, arguing that it is a propaganda mouthpiece, a claim that the Carter administration denies.

Following news of the raids, protesters began to appear along the edges of the Federal Plaza Exclusionary Zone. The Federal Plaza itself has been closed to non-governmental pedestrian traffic for two years now, when security concerns forced the closure of the Federal Plaza and the takeover of security by the Federal Military Police. At press time, tens of thousands were reportedly surrounding the plaza, condemning the actions of the Ministry of Culture and security services and calling for the right to protest in the Federal Plaza, a traditional spot to protest throughout Crontorian history. Neither the Ministry of Culture or the Carter administration has released a statement on the protestors, although the Federal Military Police has released a statement asking for protestors to stand down and made clear that no one would be allowed into the Federal Plaza.

Haifa, Aramia Tensions between the nations of Aramia and Ugaristan have risen lately due to the recent border clashes on the Aramian-Ugaristani border due to a extremist militant group who has been causing problems on the border of Ugaristan who's objective is to start a uprising among the Sunni minority which is situated in the western parts of the country. The majority of civilians residing in Ugaristan are primarily Alawites or Shia followers who even have positions in government which the extremist group based in Aramia have used to back up their call for jihad on the grounds of a more "fair government". The Emirate of Aramia is the opposite with the majority being of Sunni followers due to it having extensive ties to Mahdah historically.

Recent statements from the Republc of Ugaristan under the Khozaei administration have accused Aramia with arming and allowing the extremist group "free reign" to enter the Ugaristani border region and cause chaos amongst the populace. Aramia has fully denied the accusations from Ugaristan and have said they are working on limiting the amount of attacks conducting on Ugaristan by the extremist group. The Ugaristani Military has recently done several re-deployments of it's forces to the border to combat the increase in extremism and violence being caused by the militant group from across the border. The Emirate of Aramia have said that this build up of forces along the border will only increase tensions between the two countries, the Aramian side of the border has grown more militarized since the the deployments of ground forces from Ugaristan on the border.

The ever watching Imperial Caliphate of Mahdah has not yet made any moves to capitalize on the two nations as usual of Mahdah to use such situations as ways to benefit it's own control over the Alkharanian continent.

Germania, Brandenburg - The Greater Aryan Race and Yalos have concluded a strategic diplomatic and military alliance, a move which terminates the longstanding state of war and normalizes diplomatic relations between the two nations while binding the two regional powers together for thirty years.

The German-Yalosii Pact of Friendship, Alliance and Cooperation, alternatively referred to as the German-Yalosii Pact of Steel or the German-Yalosii Alliance, was signed in a grand ceremony in the Reich Chancellery yesterday by both Reich Foreign Minister Hermann Balck and Yalosii Foreign Minister Pokuii Kjenza in the presence of Reich Chancellor and Führer Bogislav Friedrich Wilhelm and the Empress of Yalos, Eyuka Jakataii, along with scores of German and Yalosii diplomats as well as selected members of the press invited to cover this prestigious event.

Prior to the signing of the Pact of Steel, German-Yalosii relations remained in a state of war owing to the Reich's declaration of war against the former Yalosii Communist government of Selos Manikato during the Jagis Conflict, a development which was since not addressed despite the eventual termination of hostilities owing to the lack of a conclusive peace treaty between the two states.

Under the Pact of Steel, both the Greater Aryan Race and Yalos agree to end the state of war between the two states and to restore normal diplomatic relations, while also establishing a permanent military alliance between the two powers, whereby should "one of them becomes involved in military complications with another Power or other Powers, the other Contracting Party will immediately step to its side as an ally and will support it with all its military might on land, at sea, and in the air.".

Both leaders have stressed that the merger of their interests enshrined today were ''not directed against third countries.''. But in a striking similarity to the treaty politics of the pre-World War II era, in which national leaders often signed thinly-disguised accords such as the Anti-Comintern Pact against third party states, the treaty signed today requires Germania and Ju'tozzo to coordinate their response closely in the event that either is subjected to pressure or aggression from another power.

"In the event that the common interests of the Contracting Parties be jeopardized through international happenings of any kind," the Pact states, "they will immediately enter into consultation regarding the necessary measures to preserve these interests. Should the security or other vital interests of one of the Contracting Parties be threatened from outside, the other Contracting Party will afford the threatened Party its full political and diplomatic support in order to remove this threat."

The Pact of Steel will remain valid for a term of up to thirty years, after which either party has the option of renewing the provisions of the Treaty or permitting it to expire.

At a joint news conference held after the signing of the German-Yalosii Pact, Reich Chancellor and Führer Bogislav Friedrich Wilhelm, together with the Empress Eyuka Jakataii, reiterated their common desire towards furthering German-Yalosii cooperation in all areas of social, political and economic aspects while strengthening their newfound diplomatic ties of friendship. The Führer also praised the Eyuka Empress and the Yalosii Government for having taken the initiative to undertake measures to restore normal diplomatic relations between the two powers.

"The success of this Treaty is the result of the graciousness and willingness of the Yalosii Government and Her Majesty the Eyuka Empress in taking the first tentative steps in establishing a clear working relationship between our two governments where none had previously existed as such. With this Treaty, the state of war that once governed relations between our two nations has now been replaced with a general state of peace. An old chapter of German-Yalosii relations has been closed and a new one now stands ready to be filled, starting with the German-Yalosii Pact."

The Eyuka Empress addressed the strategic dimensions of pact, saying an increase in cooperation between Germania and Ju'tozzo would improve global stability.

''We believe that more active cooperation between our countries in terms of military cooperation and defense will enhance our efforts in building a multipolar world and establish a fair, rational international order,"

Reich Chancellor and Führer Friedrich Wilhelm agreed, as he seemed to be positioning himself as one of several spokesmen for a larger constituency of countries seeking a more multipolar order in Sondria.

"We believe predictability in relations based on good neighborliness and legal ties' between the Greater Aryan Race and Yalos will influence international affairs in a considerable and positive way."

In addition to the strategic and military dimensions of the treaty, the Greater Aryan Race and Yalos formally agreed to fight terrorism and drug trafficking and prevent ''groups'' or third countries from using the territory of one country as a base against the other. They also agreed not to undertake any hostile military action at the other and said they would work to solve any dispute peacefully.

The German Reich Chancellor and Her Majesty the Eyuka Empress of Yalos, consider that the time has come to confirm through a solemn pact the close relation of friendship and affinity which exists between Fascist Germany and Nationalist Yalos.

Since a secure bridge for mutual help and assistance has been established through the common boundary between Germany and Yalos, fixed for all time, the two Governments acknowledge anew the principles and aims of the policy previously agreed upon by them, and which has shown itself successful in furthering the interests of the two countries as well as in ensuring the peace of Sondria.

Firmly bound together through the inner unity of their ideologies and the comprehensive solidarity of their interests, the German and the Yalosii people are determined also in future to stand side by side and to strive with united effort for the securing of their Lebensraum [living space] and the maintenance of peace. In this way, prescribed for them by history, Germany and Yalos wish, in a world of unrest and disintegration, to carry out the assignment of making safe the foundations of Sondrian culture. In order to establish these principles in treaty form, they have named as plenipotentiaries, the German Reich Chancellor, the Reich Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hermann Balck, Her Majesty the Eyuka Empress of Yalos, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pokuii Kjenza, who, after the exchange of proper credentials, have agreed upon the following terms:

ARTICLE I

The State of War that formerly exists between the Contracting Parties is hereby terminated and the diplomatic relations of the Contracting Parties are consequentially restored to their normal State of Peace.

ARTICLE II

The Contracting Parties will remain in permanent contact with each other, in order to come to an understanding of all common interests or the Sondrian situation as a whole.

ARTICLE III

In the event that the common interests of the Contracting Parties be jeopardized through international happenings of any kind, they will immediately enter into consultation regarding the necessary measures to preserve these interests. Should the security or other vital interests of one of the Contracting Parties be threatened from outside, the other Contracting Party will afford the threatened Party its full political and diplomatic support in order to remove this threat.

ARTICLE IV

If it should happen, against the wishes and hopes of the Contracting Parties, that one of them becomes involved in military complications with another Power or other Powers, the other Contracting Party will immediately step to its side as an ally and will support it with all its military might on land, at sea, and in the air.

ARTICLE V

In order to ensure, in any given case, the rapid implementation of the alliance obligations of Article III, the Governments of the two Contracting Parties will further intensify their cooperation in the military sphere and the sphere of war economy. Similarly the two Governments will keep each other regularly informed of other measures necessary for the practical implementation of this pact. The two Governments will create standing commissions, under the direction of the Foreign Ministers, for the purposes indicated in paragraphs 1 and 2.

ARTICLE VI

The Contracting Parties already at this point bind themselves, in the event of a jointly waged war, to conclude any armistice or peace only in full agreement with each other.

ARTICLE VII

The two Contracting Parties are aware of the importance of their joint relations to the Powers which are friendly to them. They are determined to maintain these relations in future and to promote the adequate development of the common interests which bind them to these Powers.

ARTICLE VIII

The German side supports the Yalosii side in its policies on the issue of defending the national unity and territorial integrity of the Savahnnese Eyukate of Yalos.

The Yalosii side supports the German side in its policies on the issue of defending the national unity and territorial integrity of the Fascist Dictatorship of the Greater Aryan Race.

ARTICLE IX

The Contracting Parties shall not enter into any alliance or be a party to any bloc nor shall they embark on any such action, including the conclusion of such treaty with a third country which compromises the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the other contracting party. Neither side of the Contracting Parties shall allow its territory to be used by a third country to jeopardize the national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the other Contracting Party.

Neither side of the Contracting Parties shall allow the setting up of organizations or gangs on its own soil which shall impair the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the other Contrasting Party and their activities should be prohibited.

ARTICLE X

The Contracting Parties, in accordance with the laws of each country and the international obligation each has committed, shall actively cooperate in cracking down terrorists, splittists and extremists, and in taking strong measures against criminal activities of organized crimes, illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and weapons. The Contracting Parties shall conduct cooperation to crack down on illegal immigration, including the crack down on illegal transportation of natural persons via its territory.

ARTICLE XI

This pact comes into force immediately upon its signing. The two Contracting Parties are agreed upon fixing the first period of its validity at thirty years. In good time before the elapse of this period they will come to an agreement regarding the extension of the validity of the pact.

President Ronan W. O'clane has again affirmed his stance on Havenic imigration policy, following a recent spat with opposition politicians. O'clane, 56, told a visibly heated Havensschkorpal that the Haven's policies of providing a safe haven and amnesty for foreign criminals and terrorists will not be changing.
"This is a government committed to its libertarian principals," he said before a full session. "People fleeing persecution have always found a sympathetic ear in Iros. I intend to keep it that way."
However, his former coalition partner Alyana Della Barecci, current Minister for Trade, has questioned the effect that this proclamation could have on the Haven's relations.
"The Haven is looking very isolated in the world economy," Ms. Della Barecci told us. "I am afraid that the President is living with the outdated worldview that the Haven can pick and choose its friends and that it does not need to be a part of the Global Community. This is a dangerous view, and we must do what we can to oppose it."

Upwards of 25,000 foreign criminals are estemated to arrive in the Haven every year, which has been the cause of tentions with many neighbours of the Interregional state. However, short of an election, this does not appear likely to change.

Inisil, Mahdah The Department of the Navy has recently announced the purchase and indoctrination of the 'Goliath' and 'Leviathan' Longsword Capitol Command ships. This comes after a recent review of the Mahdavian Navy and in a report that has been released claimed that with evidence of past mistakes in conflicts such as the Marquesan-Mahdavian War where a opportunity to utilize the 'Behemoth' Longsword in order to capitalize on the vulnerability of the Marquesan troop carriers was present but at the time was not done in hopes that the Fleet in the gulf could defeat the Marquesan fleet. It was also noted that if Mahdah at the time had additional Longswords positioned in the Gulf and other strategic areas in the oceans near Mahdah that the Marquesan Fleet would have surely met it's ultimate destruction and had not have landed it's ground forces which tore through the defenses.

It has also been announced that with these three Longswords, each would be assigned a Command Fleet to accompany them. One being Command Fleet 'Behemoth' stationed on the east coast of Mahdah, Command Fleet 'Goliath' stationed in the Alkharanian Gulf and Command Fleet 'Leviathan' stationed in the far northern fringes. The Department of the Navy has also been in talks of the purchasing of additional Anubis class arsenal ships as they have showed their merit in earning the first ever combat kills on Marquesan Naval vessels in recorded history. A shift in focus on the strategic capabilities of the Mahdavian Navy have been utilized to enable the Navy to have adequate vessels for sea warfare wherever in Sondria it may occur and against nations that are above in technology and tactics.

TAKRITI, Mahdah Mahdah as become the hotbed for protests lately as protests have continued even with fierce Police opposition for the past three weeks so far. Protesters in the thousands have taken place in cities across northern Mahdah in cities such as Takriti which is one of the cities it had originally begun in. The protests had sparked because of a incident involving a a grocery store clerk who from sources was forced to kill himself because of the police pressuring him to pay simple fines he had owed which he wasn't able to pay on time because his job didn't pay him the amount needed to pay the fines off. The news of this incident exploded through social media as the memorial for the man was held protests begun in Al Joubari which with the help of social media activity spread organized protests in several cities.

The government response was increased police presence and riot control tactics in the cities having protests. The Ministry of the Interior also 'temporarily' blocked the social media sites from being accessible in Mahdah due to the rise of protests occurring, although the message had already been spread. The police have been especially brutal to the protesters who for the most part marched and carried signs and chanted slogans urging for change in the government and even wanting the Emperor and his officials to resign. The Mahdavian government thus claimed that this was in violation of the "Organized Protest and Sedition Ban" Act which denied Mahdavian citizens their right to protest their government and even their freedom of speech.

The protesting seems not also aimed at the government but also at the rise of religious fundamentalism and it's influence in day to day life and even in the government and it's policies. Protestors have also accused the government of their support of Islamic extremists groups which have committed numerous crimes domestically and abroad across Sondria. A Mahdavian taking part in the protests occurring in Takirit had this to say when asked about his view of religious fundamentalism and the government.

"This country has turned into a breeding ground for Islamic extremists, Is this even a country anymore? Or just one big training camp for terrorists"

So far It seems no extremist group currently residing in Mahdah has had anything to say to the wave of protests which some are even directed at them and It is unknown of their stance in all of this. The protests themselves have gone from peaceful to chaotic with the Police using extreme force to disperse the protesters and scare them away. It's been reported by sources that at least forty people have died in these protests with the majority being from gun shot wounds sustained by the Police utilizing deadly force to scare them away. The Mahdavian Army has even become involved in the suppression of protests as they were granted permission to intervene on the behalf of "keeping tensions from escalating amongst the protesters" as already Mahdavian army units have been filmed entering cities holding protests in vast columns of vehicles of all kinds.

It is currently unknown how the presence of the Mahdavian army in the suppression of protests will affect the brewing civil conflict, many say that the use of the military will only escalate the tensions and the results will be highly unfavorable for the Mahdavian government.

Rien-Stadt, C.D.R. - Empress Annika I was rushed to Imperial Saint-Maarten's Medical Centre in Rien-Stadt for urgent medical checks this morning. According to the Spokesperson to the Empress, the Empress is in stable condition. While the Spokesperson did not specify the condition, a source inside the hospital report the Empress was suffering from 'severe headaches'. This was not the first time the Empress has fallen ill. Before her ascension to the Rose Throne of Gristol, then Crown Princess Annika was suffered from eating disorders but has since improved her condition since her ascension to the throne. Empress has recently cancelled her recent public visits this week due to her illness.

Emperor Lorei IV has expressed his best wishes for Empress Annika I. According to several sources, the Imperial Family of Esteria was alongside Prince Benedict, the Empress' Consort, and Crown Princess Stephanie.

With reductions made in the IGSDF, the Sovereign Empire begins withdrawal of IGSDF troops from Beblis the same time with CAF at Luminaa this February

Fort Maxima, Luminaa - IGSDF troops in Beblis are set to withdraw this month following the end of the base-sharing agreements with the Imperial Federation. Cut-backs in the recent military reforms to re-organize the IGSDF also will see the Overseas Forces Command deactivated. The Valtorum Government has stated their intent on down-scaling the military despite concerns of some of Sondria's states that views the Sovereign Empire should be a permanent member of the Sondrian Triad. Since 2009, the Sovereign Empire signed an agreement to be an observer partner in the Triad. The Triad is one of the major power blocs in Western Sondria, the second being the now-defunct Deusaeurian States Association, located primarily in Aerus.

The Imperial Office of Foreign Affairs has stated it has ruled out the prospects of joining Triad. "Considering the current state of relations between the permanent members of the Triad, we are considering other options."

An official from the Imperial High Command has also no intentions on deactivating the Overseas Forces Command "We will not deactivate the Operational Command provided the government manages to negotiate a new country in which they will allow foreign troops."

Elections announced !

His Majesty King Franz Thibaud I announced that elections would be held earlier this morning.

At 9:00 AM this morning King Franz Thibaud I announced that elections would be held within the next year from his home, Union Palace. The motives behind this sudden announcement haven't been officially released, but many suspect that it is due to the release of Minister Aurey's private documents, which contain information that would suggest the Minister is guilty of accepting payments from foreign business men to propose laws that would favor them at the cost of local enterprises.
So far the Prime Minister and the other Ministers of the Traditionalist Party have not released a statement regarding Aurey's corruption, however a press conference is sure to happen soon.

However, this corruption incident favors the Progressive Party, which has already announced that they have an election campaign ready for the coming months.

The Sentinel will update this as the situation develops.

Lerroux terrorists arrested and executed !
A group of 3 armed men claiming to be communist set fire to a grocery store in the small town of Lerroux.

Around 1:30 AM a group of 3 armed men broke into and torched a local grocery store, leaving behind a graffiti of a red "X" a symbol commonly used by communist terrorist within the nation. Soon identified as John Freire, Tibo Brunnegan and Faheer Beb-dal,wanted members of the illegal organization known as Crimson Esclare, the three men where caught heading south towards Zagaher in an attempt to escape justice. Once arrested they were taken to Lerroux Police Station, where they were hastily executed on the charges of dissent, terrorism, arson and property damage.

The Prime Minister has stated that the counter terrorism effort would receive additional funding. "After last night's attack, it is even more clear to me that these illegal activists are still a threat to national security, and will be treated as so."

Germania, Brandenburg - Reports are emerging that the Armed Forces of the Greater Aryan Race are seeking to build up and expand their ballistic missile capabilities, in order to ensure that the Reich holds a potent technological edge over it's opponents.

An OKW military official, who requested not to be named as he was not authorized to speak to the press, stated in an interview with this paper that the Wehrmacht and Reich Government of the Greater Aryan Race were already busily engaged in talks with several other foreign powers over the purchase and acquisition of newer missile systems as well as the blueprints needed to produce these weapons domestically.

Although declining to go into further detail, the official said that several different designs and categories of missiles were reportedly being researched on by the OKW for their operational viability and usefulness, including shorter-range tactical and theatre ballistic missiles as well as larger intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) capable of traveling across continents and beyond while carrying nuclear warheads. If confirmed, this would enable the Wehrmacht to target strategic enemy objectives in the outbreak of a conflict without needing to dispatch conventional forces.

Currently, the Wehrmacht is believed to retain two missile systems primarily tasked with the delivery of the Reich's nuclear warheads, these being the Minuteman III and the Trident Submarine-launched Ballistic Missile System.

Inisil, Mahdah After a three day summit in the capital of Inisil between national leaders of Mahdah, Haraani, Ugaristan and Aramia which was described as a "meeting of the reevaluation of Islam's presence in Alkharania and the focus on Islamic preservation within Sondria". The outcome of this three day summit was the signing of the FAIR agreement and the declaration of the Federation of Alkharanian Islamic Republics. The said purpose of the Federation was to ensure complete prosperity and peaceful co-existence between Islamic countries and ensure it's defense against "ruinous" powers who'd wish to see that kind of friendship destroyed. The four national leaders would now be part of the Supreme Presidium of the Federation which was the executive section of the government currently declared.

The move to establish the Federation of Alkharanian Islamic Republics has been declared a widely popular and decisive move by the Imperial Caliphate which has successfully incorporated all the other Islamic majority governments in Alkharania and most likely Sondria and formed into a perfect union to co-exist and strive together in prosperity. It has yet to be known how the rest of the Sondrian community will react to the creation of a now powerful bloc of similarly ideal sharing nations.

After the corruption scandal, the Traditionalist Party has been seeking to improve it's approval rates in hopes of remaining in power when the next elections occur. To do so, they have put several acts in motion to modernize the country. On such act is the New Diplomacy Act, that has the main objective of expanding Esclare's influence on the international stage.

"Friendship, trust, brotherhood, two nations that can work together for a better tomorrow." These were the opening words of Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Lasainge's speech when he announced the alliance with the Commonwealth to the rest of the nation a week after the New Diplomacy Act was put into effect.
Considered the first step to bring Esclare into the international stage under the New Diplomacy Act, the new alliance with the United Commonwealths of Victoriala, known as the South Telraina Alliance is meant to vastly improve our nation's relationship with our southern neighbors.
The S.T.A. establishes a military alliance between the two states, where they both compromise to stand side by side if either one finds itself involved in an armed conflict, providing assistance whether it is humanitarian, military or both.
On top of the military aspects of the treaty,both nations have agreed to assist one another in the war on terror, the prevention of illegal trafficking as well as important trade details that promote a larger trade of imports and exports between the two countries as well as facilitate travel from one to the other.
Seth Girauld, the ambassador who headed the treaty talks, had this to say to the press: " This is just the first of many steps to improve our standing on the international stage. We hope that with our new found friendship will help both us and our allies keep our homelands safe and improve them."

Aurey in jail ?
The Ex-Minister was found guilty of accepting bribes from foreign businessmen and has been placed under arrest after he attempted to flee the courtroom. Charged with treason and corruption, Aurey's sentence is potentially long term or even execution.
If Aurey were indeed executed, it would be the first time in Esclare's history that an ex-Minister is put to death by members of the party he once belonged to.

As a military alliance they are obligated to stand side by side should one find the other in an armed conflict, aiding whether to humanitarian, military or both. All sides have also agreed to look upon on the major matters within southern Telrania, such as the War on Terror (such as the current conflict between the Mutiyaran Government and the Bawtanghier Belenggu anarchist group), important trade details, illegal trafficking and improvement of the travel industry. It is also expected to improve interordinal relations with Esclare and improve and uphold "Friendship Trust, Brotherhood" withim in Southern Telrania. More press releases are to commence soon within all participants to expand for more information regarding the new treaty.

As a diplomatically isolated nation throughout modern history, Mutiyaraja has only managed to mantain economic and trade relations throughout Telrania, if not in Sondria. The new alliance is expexted to be Mutiyaraja's first independent step unto diplomatic international relations. However, the majority of the United Commonwealths of Victoriala, through diplomatic error has stepped in the alliance and now has hopes for the Golden Congress to open up to Sondria, especially to Telrania and Esclare.

His Holy Majesty Vardhanapuri VI has been opportunistic on the matter and hopes for the alliance to expand to their other neighbors such as Zagaher, Geanna and to an extent, Shaoling.

Greater Liverpudlian military Reforms complete

The 64th Royal Irish Regiment on a Anti-insurgent training exercise

The Army 2015 reforms set out by the Government approved by His Grace the Imperador at turn of the 21st century have finally been completed. The reforms which were to change the role of the Armed forces from being a Homeland defence to international intervention force have made the army bigger, better trained and more advanced then it has ever been before.
The reforms were as followed:

-Increase the number military Personal from 250,000 to 450,000 across all branches of the armed forces

-Increase the 20 week basic training to 32 week basic training course (plus any weeks added to specialised roles)

-Upgrading the Old L85 A2 service rifle to the L117 A1 Assault Infantry Rifle

-Upgrading Tanks with new equipment like depleted Uranian Rod amour Mk12 and the laser guide Hellfire shell

-The Creation of 147 squadron "Commando Squadron" tasked with rapid anti-terrorism operations.

-Increasing Conscription pay by 3.5%

These are just a few of some of reforms that had been done over the past 15 years. "This will surely shape what we do both Internationally and regionally... And even locally with ourselves and the countries that surround us." Head Minister Nikoli SanAntiguo adding "I feel that these reforms will benefit our nation in the long run as we will soon see our name taking a larger presence of the map of Sondria." We do not know what the future of these reforms will truly give us. Will it make us into a strong Empire so much that nations like Britain will be envious of us or will it bring into wars where we have no place in them and we lose our sons and daughters to war not even worth fighting for. All we can do is wait and see what his Grace the Imperador will do with his now even stronger army.

However, tensions have risen between Greater Liverpudlian Diplomats and Crontor Diplomats, as the situation of Fort Bahren continues to go on. Liverpudlians claim the lands is theirs by right and that Crontor has no right to claim that lands as their own. People also hate Crontor influence on almost every major landmass in Sondria; maybe His Grace the Impardor will listen to his people and be the First Nation to take a fight to Crontor but his knows we are in no shape to fight him alone even we had the best Generals in the world.

Controversial Conscription Law Expanded in Senate

Eragos has always been known as a peaceful, diplomatic nation in Sondria. Whether this is by intent or mistake, no one knows. What everyone should know, however, is that Eragos has enacted laws that allowed for conscription of men into the armed forces. What could a peaceful nation need conscription for? Is this the latest move in a long line of stupidity for a pacifist nation?

The conscription laws were passed in 1943 following a series of internal strikes that led to the death of millions. Politicians and citizens alike have been unsuccessful in repealing the law for years now. The Seante, however, has always unanimously approved the bill. And when an amendment was introduced to include females in conscriptions, the nation went into uproar. With the female populace potentially facing the psossibility of hundreds of millions, if not billions, being drafted, protest have begun.

This morning, initial voting was held, with the Senate leaning towards passing the bill. President Orion, a female, will ultimately decide whether or not the amendment passes if it escapes the Senate. President Diana is expect to decline the bill regardless, citing "women have the rights to stay home with their children, not to be forced to serve in the military."

President Orion has been adamant about decreasing the overall size of the military so that the budget can better be allocated towards areas such education and healthcare. Since coming to power in 2012, she has aggressively pursued education reforms that are now expected to be enacted sometime over the summer of 2015.

With the Senate expecting to pass the bill sometime within the next week or two, Preisdent Orion will face increasing scrutiny for whatever decision she decides to go with, regardless of her personal opinions.
