Just minutes ago, I've assassinated, with this beautiful lil' rifle, Don Lionel Karshka, dictator of Pushkinskaya and a capo of the Bratva. His body is lying there, still, quiet, at the Council of the Houses. Or just the building, as the actual Council has been exterminated by this son of a *sound goes off but the insult is seen in Zarkov's mouth*.
This is a prove of what happens with democracy. This is an advice which goes directly for the rest of the Karshka, the Marki, the Beinar and the Falkner families: no matter how well you hide; I'll find you anyway. I'll find and I'll kill you to restore democracy. For the people sold as slaves. For the women raped and killed. For Hans Sakharov. For the war to stop. For everyone.

New Emberton Declares Victory; Red Cross in Trouble

NOVAGOROD - The number of refugees in Novagorod rapidly declined after Don Karshka's statement. In one night, the main camp was ambushed by the Bratva and an estimated 1,000 were killed, along with about 30,000 missing. The Red Cross has initiated it's retreat, and the 10 Flying Hospitals are getting loaded for flights to Olbat, where the new camps will be set up.

The issues found are that 1,000 light vehicles capable of transporting around 10 people each and 10 Flying Hospitals with a capacity of 100 people won't be enough to get the 18,000 refugees out of Novagorod in a day. More than one trip will have to be made; an issue considering fuel cuts in Novagorod airports. To make matters worse, a revolution looms in Pushkinskaya, further complicating efforts. The Red Cross will now seek relief activities in the Eastern sector of Pushkinskaya with the newly-completed HAZMAT.

In charge of the refugees being left in Novagorod for the time being is Ursula Köpex, a volunteer for the Red Cross for over 10 years.

OLBAT - And may we all rejoice! Aboveland's protectorate New Emberton is back to normal after a long, tiring war with Farshonia. Farshonia recceded far enough to give way for Olbat and the factories, and all arsenal and property of New Emberton is ours again.

A change of Dons

After Don Kashka's assassination, the next in line to lead the Bratva is known sociopath Alexander Marki. Don Marki was quick to respond to the unknown sniper, right after several Bratva Capos were killed Alexander ordered the death of 50 village boys stating that for every Bratva man the sniper kills, he would kill 10 of his merchandise, "Human commodity is abundant here, it's not a problem to get rid of a few rats to catch the big cat." stated the Bratva's new Don.

Under Marki's leadership the Bratva started getting even more violent, Alexander likes to set examples out of his rivals, and hes is scouring Novagorod up and down for the sniper, they invade homes and kill everybody that doesn't cooperate, without exceptions. The Kashka's new Don Meril Kashka is currently offering an exurbitant $1.000.000 for the Sniper's head, and has already said that the slightest hint of revolution will be met with heavy brutality.

Regional Rowing Regatta Returns

It's been three years since the last batch of foreign university crews competed against Bastionian universities, and after several failed previous debates between the coaching and management committees in the INRA, it seems this year will feature the return of invitations sent to foreign universities for the chance to compete in the Eddsen and Beatrix Duels Cup. The Intercollegiate National Rowing Association (INRA), which governs the sport of collegiate rowing in the Bastionian Republics, is also reorganizing the E&B Duels Cup to feature a larger range of competition outside of the original men's and women's varsity eights. What started as an unofficially sanctioned regatta for bragging rights between crews that won or lost their titles at the INRA Championships some weeks prior, is now being commissioned as an official regatta with the hopes of further attracting foreign crews to have the chance to broaden their competitive horizons and by taking on the elite from the Bastionian nation. In 2011, when the regatta was first officially sanctioned, seven foreign university teams were invited from around the Nordic Lands to compete. This year, the management committee hopes to expand this number. Furthermore, the Bastionian National Rowing Team (who's international successes include the Water World Championships and Olympic Games) has issued a challenge to other national teams in the region to come and compete as well in newly added regatta categories: National Men's Eight and National Women's Eight.

Although the regatta is open and welcomed to the public, the regatta has attracted the increasing popularity of the Bastionian upper class and elite members of Bastionian Culture. In the last official rendition of the regatta, several foreign dignitaries were also in attendance. The competition has since grown to be an all encompassing festival in the quiet country outskirts of Hrimfelger, as festivities have seemingly surpassed the notion that this is "just another sporting event." The E&B Duels Cup is both one of the pinnacle spots on the Bastionian sporting and social calendars.

The Intercollegiate National Rowing Association would like to welcome you to the heralding of the 2nd officially sanctioned running of the Invitational Eddsen and Beatrix Duels Cup Rowing Regatta. The E&B Duels Cup will take place in the town of Hrimreath, some 20 miles outside Hrimfelger, a major city in the Bastionian Republic of Nordfassen. The date is set for Friday, July 11th to Monday, July 14th, although teams are welcomed to arrive on Thursday the 10th.

The E&B Duels Cup features a two-boat style sprint race down the 2112m course from start to finish. Basically, crews will race side by side in an Olympic style sprint format, except there will only be two competitors per heat. The first round of preliminary qualifiers will be time trials, and the following rounds of the tournament will be single-elimination win/lose advancement only. There will be multiple categories for Men's crews and Women's Crews, including coxed eights, fours, and double sculls. These categories will also be broken into Varsity and Novice. There will be no weight restrictions, except that coxswains must be no less than 50 kg.

The Deadline for Entries is 5:00PM Thursday, July 10th. The final bracket and schedule will be posted by Friday morning.

Regatta is open to the public, however the Steward's Enclosure (restricted to VIP and registered competitors) is regulated by a dress code. Gentlemen are required to wear lounge suits, or jackets or blazers with flannels, and a tie or cravat. Ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee and will not be admitted wearing divided skirts, culottes or trousers of any kind. Similarly, no one will be admitted to the Stewards' Enclosure wearing shorts or jeans. Whilst not a requirement, it is customary for ladies to wear hats. Registered competitors are encouraged to be wearing their team colors or logo so as to be recognized.

OOC: I will be using xkoranate 0.3.0 for the scorinating process, the same program used for the NS Olympics. Please follow instructions on registration page. Skill level does not guarantee victory or defeat, it only affects probability. Once the date gets closer I'll start a new thread.

It has now been confirmed that Askerike has entered in to negotiations for Pushkinskayan resources. His Imperial Majesty Eiríkr Hákon speaks on the subject:

Prime Minister Sorondov Speaks About Zarkov

VILIKAREV - Today, Feliks Sorondov, Bienvia's Prime Minister and Head of the State, delivered a short speech concerning Yuri Zarkov, Don Karska's assassin.

This is outrageous. Outrageous! There is a man with a rifle, hiding in Pushkinskaya, waiting to kill its government. What we must do is to search for him and, as our Constitution says, kill him. We ask the Bratva members to find Zarkov as soon as possible and bring him alive to Bienvia. He shall be judged here.
Also, to the Bratva: think about what you're doing. This man did something extreme, and we know it brings shame to our nation, but seriously; think. Violence is not the solution.

VILIKAREV - Today, after several days since the ending of the Pushkinskayan-Farshonian War, Minister of War Gonsalov Mayerovski got all the ships blocking maritime blockage in the White Sea. He said that he didn't do this before because of precaution, if suddenly war would be started again.

Survivors Found in Eastern Pushkinskaya; Red Cross Relief Operations a Partial Success

OLBAT - Red Cross personnel reached far into the barren wasteland of Eastern Pushkinskaya, far enough to find over 10,000 bodies, charred and mutilated. The whole ground was black, and the Geiger counters went mad. The only variation in terrain was the epicenter's crater, too extreme even for the SUPERHAZMAT.

As the team carried on, they found a large metallic hatch on the ground. They opened a small sliding shade on the hatch and peeped inside. In it was a narrow, almost vertical corridor, with empty hazmat suit storage places along the walls; open. The team pried open the hatch and ventured inside. The corridor led to a huge room, full of at least 1,000 people wearing yellow suits. As the first sight of the Red Cross came to them, they leaped up from the ground in joy. These 1,000 survivors were a mix of everything, from scientists to kids to medics and housewives. The 1,000 were loaded into the overflowing transport trucks and taken out of the affected area, where they were washed off and flown to Olbat.

OLBAT - The Flying Hospitals are experiencing fuel shortages and might have to stay grounded in Novagorod for a while. While all of the 17,500 evacuated from Novagorod are safe now, a remaining 2,000 are still in Novagorod, residing in a once functioning hotel, the Hotel Refinet. The Red Cross volunteer Ursula Köpex was murdered yesterday by rebellious Bratva, caused by the death of Don. Yuri Zarkov has made the situation for the Red Cross abysmal and one can only hope that the Alandite general manager of the hotel, Laup Anigabasesur, can manage to keep them alive during the whole conflict. The majority of the refugees are Pushkinskayan, from the north and far from home. A few New Embertonians stay there, ex-Farshonians, which might cause tensions.

Kosmayn's Ruins Found In Faroben Province

MIRKA - Excitement has been brought up all over the scientific community in the Nordic Lands. The reason? Mirka, major city in the Faroben province, located in the south-west of the country, is the host of an incredible discovery: the ruins of the ancient Kosmayn capital; named by several writings in the deposit, Bjarkovo.
Bjarkovo has been unknown for the past three centuries; when the Civil War finished and Bienvia was founded, the capital moved to Bjolkrev, later named Vilikarev. After that, all papers about Bjarkovo were destroyed, and it was a missing city for ages.
There are carvings, writings in old Bienvian dialect, sculptures and buildings. Kosmaynian art is incredible, very detailed, and tomorrow there will be trucks departing for the National Museum of Art, Opölski, to take pieces and pieces of art.
All scientific community within the Nordic Lands is invited, and this discovery can be analysed from several points of view: anthropological, historical, artistic, geographical, economical...
The city remained hidden because it was in the middle of a barely explored wasteland, with a few forests, in which frolic bears and mooses, making it a dangerous place.

Communist Farshonia dissolved, foundation of Kingdom of Farshonia.

Surrender of Farshonia marks the end of Communist rule of Farshonia as well as the reign of dictator Juozapas. The Farshonians are now angry of Communist Party of Farshonia after it commit a horrible war and was happy of new Farshonian government. Jonas Dribovsk was title as John I or John the Great and the first Farshonian dynasty was born: Deribockian dynasty

There's a lot of changes after Farshonia surrender: the new adopted constitution, national religion is declared Eastern Orthodox after religion was banned, cities like Juozapasgrad and Thompigrad are renamed, allowing gay and lesbians to marry each other and the flag.

Zarkov Strikes Again

NOVAGOROD - Yuri Zarkov, known sniper and assassin of Don Karshka, stroke again, but this time without killing anybody. He uploaded another video, this time via social networks, speaking about what he did.

So, yesterday, I went to Varshonkovo, this little village a few miles away from Novagorod, and, with the help of people who joined me, we could free it. Varshonkovo has no longer population, we evacuated it all to the Abo-Bienvian Red Cross camps.
Varshonkovo was a village controlled by the Bratva, used by it as a giant drug warehouse. The past year, about 300 kids died because of accidental cocaine inhalation.
But no more.
Bratva said that they would kill 50 kids in villages for every Bratva man I killed. I killed no one!
See, Marki? Get down of the pedestal. There is people out there who is smarter than you.
I will liberate more villages, decreasing the Bratva power. But I won't travel one by one. I will travel to them in a random order, so you won't get me and my people.

The Sérsveitir Askerike had deployed swiftly and quietly in to the Pushkinskayan countryside. After acquiring Intel that Zarkov had been camping outside of Varshonkovo the teams moved on the village but arrived to find it empty. The two SA manhunt teams have split, one pursuing another lead and one to question evacuees and possibly attempt to gain some of Zarkovs personal belongings.

Refugees from Zarkov Attack Praise the Assasin for his Actions

OLBAT - An influx of about 70,000 refugees from Varshonkovo flooded the refugee camps in Olbat yesterday and mingled with war victims and radiation-treated Pushkinskayan. "The 70 strong", as they are called in the camps, entered speaking marvels about the man. One of the interviewed 70's, Rattan Makkela, said that he "although violent, freed [them] from the Bratva". He says that although his house was assimilated and no remains are left, that it was worth it in the long run, as long as "the new government prone to come helps the affected".

Upon learning of the praise, the Alandite government, most notably Ulrika Savka, gave a speech in the Dnalevoba Plaza on the situation. It was:

"Hello, my dear people! As you all are probably aware, Pushkinskaya has yet again fallen into a crisis. It is a pity, I know, and all caused by a man called Yuri Zarkov, a lunatic with a gun. I, however, think that not all lunatics are that bad. This man noticed the gravity of the situation in Pushkinskaya with the Bratva. And even though Aboveland never supports violence, this might be even slightly justified. Zarkov knows that the Bratva is sadistic and anarchic, and he wanted to do something about him. Yes, in Aboveland he would be a criminal. But in Pushkinskaya's current state, everything is legal, and for the Bratva, murder is OK, to some extent."

"This is why, after much ado with the rest of the Alandite government, we have come to the conclusion that Aboveland is in favor of his survival, and ask the nations iniciating a manhunt for him to stop. This man only wants to liberate Pushkinskaya of crime! We hate crime, right? We should let him be and heck, even cooperate with him in his course of action to cure the scars and cuts that the poor, turbulent nation has experienced. "It is plausible the liberated may see this Zarkov in a possible light... But government officials should beware praising men who assassinate leaders of sovereign nations.... because you know... That kind of thing can be contagious. Call him what you will, Liberator, Terrorist, that is just semantics... but the fact remains he did assassinate a World Leader. No matter how we of Askerike feel about a government, Allfather knows we despise communists, we have never contemplated or condoned such a cowardly act as what Zarkov has committed. Again these kinds of acts can grow out of hand quickly... and citing that while Pushkinskayans are deprived of unimportant political freedoms, they on average enjoy great civil liberties... having a higher world ranking in that category than even Aboveland.... who should maybe be concerned that their own citizens might take to this assassination ideology in attempt to increase their own civil rights.


Our special forces are on the trail of this terrorist, he can not hide...and he will soon have nowhere to run. Even amongst the Varshonkovo evacuees there are those who were all too eager to speak for money. His time is truly running out. That said, It is clearly our position that this man, Zarkov, who has assassinated the leader of a trading partner.... and set back our negotiations greatly..... He is a terrorist. Hopefully he can be captured and made to suffer for his actions, but we already know that this man is a coward, killing from long distance... he's likely to take his own life than suffer retribution. Such is a cowards way."

Terrorism Or Justice?

VILIKAREV - Prime Minister Sorondov has brought to Bienvia's attention, again, the Zarkov issue.

After Ulrika Savka's recent speech, Zarkov's actions have a new meaning. Bratva's government is violent, anarchic and many things that used to be illegal now are perfectly alright. It is a shame for such a strong and powerful nation as Askerike to make business with this mafia.
Speaking of Askerike in this whole thing, I would appreciate Keiser Hákon to get his SA teams out of this matter. The SMTP is doing fine and this is Pushkinskaya and our problem. Zarkov is Bienvian and killed a Pushkinskayan politician. You have nothing to do here.
So, for now the SMTP will continue searching for Zarkov, but only because of the assassination. The Varshonkovo liberation is something good, eliminating a drug hiding and distributing point, saving lives and enlarging the Olbat refugee camps. Also, the Bienvian Red Cross will double its effort there and we are now accepting Pushkinskayan refugees to come and live in Bienvia, by the refugee pact with Miensk.
I'd like to discuss wether Zarkov is a terrorist, a coward or a life saver, so I'm formally inviting Hrafni Brandrsson and Ulrika Savka to Vilikarev, to a meeting in the Vlaasteho, the Bienvian Government House.

The meeting of Dons and the Zarkov issue.

Today the Dons of all the most relevant Bratva families conducted a meeting in a secure place in Novagorod, Don Alexander Marki, Don Meril Kashka, Don Petr Beinar and Don Lanius Falkner all discussed their business in order to petition more support and funding from the current Bratva Don from the Marki Family. But then they started talking about the sniper Zarkov, "This guy will be brought in front of the Kashka family and receive a punishment we see fit, he killed my father and needs to be made an example, he accumulated a debt to my family that will only be paid with his life." screamed Meril Kashka. "Hold on Meril, maybe if we manage to capture this guy we won't need to kill him ourselves, we should try to sell him to Bienvia, they sure seem to want him badly, if they refuse we will just deliver him to your house to do as you please, shame he isn't younger eh Meril?" Says Don Marki laughing at Don Karshka's deviancy. "That sounds... reasonable, but they have one chance to accept and even that way they to have to be faster than Askerike's forces to catch this guys, if the SA teams get a hold of him... I'm a happy man." Said Don Kashka.


"So what's the future for Novagorod Alexander?" asked Lanius. "We will increase our drug distribution in our town and try to find foreign trade partners for the good stuff, we will also start converting Novagorod into a full city of vices, I want the world to recognize Novagorod to be the place that you can do whatever you want and be whoever you want, as long as you got the cash of course, you know pay your dues and play nice." Said Alexander Marki. "I will order the construction of the Beinar Casino, I would avise for you to start similar projects, we need to focus in making a steady economy for us in order to start becoming powerfull even in international levels." Said Petr Beinar. "The new slaves you brought me will make into fine muscle for the families in a few months, I just need to break whatever is left of disobedience in them and we should have a good number of men on the streets to make sure nobody is screwing with us." Said Lanius Falkner. "Excellent, we should begin our preparations right away, I will resume my talks with Askerike as I'm sure everyone agrees they are a powerfull ally to have, especially in our emerging position. Zarkov Offered Political Asylum in Aboveland

AYARII - Minister of Immigration Læif Qonston issued a formal statement on the Abovian government website regarding Zarkov:

I, Læif Qonston, after discussing with Ulrika Savka and President Esteban Mandzij, have decided to track down Zarkov in an effort to offer him political asylum in Aboveland. Here, he will be allowed a normal life, far from danger. We hope this letter makes it to an international stage and that he may see it. Aboveland welcomes Zarkov and endorses his actions.

The populace have shown to be in favor of the decision.

It is amazing how stupid Alexander Marki can be. He concentrates in prostitutes, in casinos, in vices, in cheap jewellery... But when it comes to government, he just sits there and waits 'til everything is done.
If I remember well, it was Marki who said, during the Don meeting, that Novagorod was the place where you could do anything. What am I supposed to understand from this? It's an ambiguous phrase. And ambiguity favours the person who didn't say the phrase, in this case, me. Anything. I guess "killing" enters in this division, of course.
So, I'm no criminal. I didn't do anything wrong by killing Lionel Kashka. So, I guess more killings won't do any bad, will them?
And, to Savka, Mandzij and Qonston, thanks for inviting me to Aboveland, but I'm going to stay here a while more. My job is not finished yet.

Mandzij-Glosterov Bridge Renamed

VILIKAREV - The famous bridge that joins Ayarii and Vilikarev, Aboveland and Bienvia, that separates the White Sea from the Barents Sea, that opened new opportunities of commerce and tourism, has been renamed. Now it is called "Mandzij-Sorondov Bridge", adding the last name of the Bienvian Prime Minister, Feliks Sorondov. Here are a few words from Alek Sørondberg, Vlaasteho speaker.

Thanks to all of you for coming today. As you know, the Mandzij-Glosterov Bridge has been renamed, in honour of our Prime Minister Feliks Sorondov. As you know, Sorondov has put a lot of fundings in this project, and had the humbleness to let Glosterov's last name in the bridge's name. Now, recognising his effort and contribution to this cause, we have decided to rename it in honour of the two leaders who made this possible: Esteban Mandzij and Feliks Sorondov.

This find comes after several tips and K9 trailing, and also aided from Geographic-Profiling from Zarkov's own videos. The teams have surrounded the compound, with snipers on adjacent buildings. They are currently assessing entry points and tactics to breach.

Isolated rains hit Southeast Farshonia just 3 weeks ago and now it forms a powerful storm. Residents in Czevho and Brovskygrad are afraid if the rivers especially the Neman River will rise and it will result a devastating flood in Kaunas and other cities near Neman River. If the flood destroy much of crops near the rivers then it has a high chance that famine will result.

The concept, proposed by Aboveland, states that the nations willing to do so (Bienvia, Vulkanas, Sjaelland and Fyn, Svenskis, Aboveland) will mobilize troops to Pushkinskaya as an effort to keep Zarkov out of harm and possibly assist his cause. 7NA Help Accepted, Sorondov Asks Keiser Hákon To Divert SA Troops From Pushkinskaya

BARASTOV - The SMTP manhunt teams were alerted: they no longer have to track down Zarkov: they have to protect him.
Along with the 7NA, Bienvia will protect Zarkov from the Bratva dictatorial government or the SA teams from Askerike. And, speaking of Askerike, Prime Minister Sorondov has asked His Majesty Eríkr Hákon to divert all SA troops from Pushkinskaya, or at least this issue.
In Vilikarev, at a short speech at the Vlaasteho, said that Askerike "mustn't infiltrate in this matter, as they have absolutely nothing to do in it. I'm formally asking -nor demanding- Keiser Hákon to drive out all SA teams from this dilemma."

The 7NA claims to be about peace, but they are threatening to invade a sovereign nation to save a terrorist. I say this is about more than just one man. I say that this is about Pushkinskayan resources. Though they have tried to keep it a secret, some 7NA members and non-member affiliates have been attempting to obtain these lands by financial bids which have been countered by the joint purchasing power of Askerike and my SdKfz 186. Now the 7NA is attempting to subvert the Pushkinskayan government and obtain these lands and resources underhandedly under the pretenses of invading to protect this Zarkov fellow and "liberation" from a dictator. I say it's none of their business. I say that we will not stand for these underhanded tactics. The Großartigkeit pledges to support the Puskinskayan government and our Askerikean allies.

My counter Demand is that the 7NA and Bienvia issue formal apologies for their empty threats, and dismiss any intentions of saving this assassin.

The Families lockdown the Novagorod's perimeter

Alexander Marki ordered that members of the Families get together their crews and start organizing some kind of defensive perimeter around Novagorod, it is implied that the families care only about the capital since their efforts to sell the remaining Pushkinskayan lands reveals a plan to turn Novagorod into a City-State.
While the criminal militia isn't very well organized they certainly still have good equipment from Askerikian supply efforts from before the takeover, Novagorod suddenly went from the "Eastern Vegas" mood to a more "Stalingrad" mood with militias patrolling the streets forcing able-bodied men into fighting.


On the downtown areas, a more organized effort of protection can be seen by the Falkner Family with their own mercenary firm, soldiers in tactical gear and modern assault rifles man carefully placed fortifications around major intersections and other areas, also with the Falkners clear superiority in firepower and training a sort of cold war has ignited between the original families of the Bratva and the newly introduced Falkners who are slowly claiming bigger profits to the point were the other families will no longer be necessary and could even become a burden to them.

Novagorod finally became a independent city-state focused on creating a massive economic and trade center in the region, it is expected the metropolis will become the point of many talks and trade agreements in the future, Novagorod's Bratva Leader Alexander Marki stated: "This is the place where people will visit and have stories for the rest of their lives, this is the eastern vegas, the place where everything is possible."

Falkner Security steps in as a small army for the city

As for this day forward the Nation of Pushkinskaya no longer exists and it's lands will be separated by rights and by sale as follows:
The Western Sector will remain as sovereign territory to the Novagorodians.
The Southern, Eastern and Central territories will be handed to SdKfz 186 and Askerike by right of sale.
The Northern territories will become part of the Baltic Alliance and the Bastionian Republics by rights of agreements with the old government and as a token of good faith from the current administration.
All of the population from the agreement with SdKfz 186 and Askerike have been sold as commodity and therefore included in the paid amount. The population of the Northern Sector were not sold as to respect the laws and traditions of the new owners of the lands.

All Bratva personnel and operations have been pulled back from the areas, mostly slave mining pits and other resource gathering that helped jumpstart the Novagorodian economy. Now only to deal with the current invasion threats.

All foreign operations such as the Red Cross and similar movements have received a deadline of 48 hours to leave the Novagorodian perimeter or risk imprisonment and slavery as criminals, a few incidents between Bratva forces and refugees have already escalated with reports of injuries and enslaving.
