Yep. The Starswirl Academy of Magic, Shrilllland's first step to becoming a powerhouse similar to nations such as the GPH, Lubyak, and D'Halbsisir in its heyday despite its smaller population. It'll be the home of several major experiments.

I'm thinking about using the Fairy Tail technology of magic storing lacrima crystals so that the magophobic Earth Ponies of the UED can have magic-fueled technology that goes beyond what normal mundane machines can do, but can still be operated by non-magical citizens.

Of course, lacrimas would be need refills after being depleted...which would make some things dependent on Unicorns, which the UED's populace wouldn't much like.

Still though...it's still technically equalist technology because any old pony can use it.

Unless...Cinderspade's engineers can create a device allowing Earth Ponies and Pegasi to tap their inner store of magic and use it in a Unicorn-like fashion. Which would defeat the magophobia they had going for them, but would allow them to do all manner of cool things.

Earth Ponies use magic in such a capacity, so why not? And I meant mages of all species such as elves, humans, etc.
