Introduction
After a decade of isolation during the transition of power from Aidan XI to Cathal IV, Tyrrin is finally reemerging on the international scene. Cathal IV is trying to move the image of the nation away from that of a militaristic empire to a more cosmopolitan image that depicts a country with power culturally as well as militarily. This new stance has some in Tyrrin's military bureaucracy less than pleased, as they see a threat to their hold on the government.
Tyrrin is a very modern nation, with many larger corporation that operate with little to no regulation. There is a very large gap between the rich and poor here, and very little concern for the environment. Sport is very popular, especially association football.
Embassy Program
Your ambassadors will retain full diplomatic immunity while in Tyrrin, as will all staff members, as long as their names are submitted for our records. You also have the right to bring whatever you wish on to the grounds of your embassy, as long as it passes through customs as it enters Tyrrin.
Most of the buildings that are to be used as embassies are located on the March of Peace in downtown Tyrrin City. These buildings are fairly nondescript, though they have all the necessary facilities for your embassy to function with efficiency and comfort. They all feature below ground parking, reinforced windows, and advanced alarm systems, along with kitchens, office space, bedrooms, and a parlor large enough to host small gatherings.
Unique Buildings
Westmeier Building
141 Trabant Place
The edgy, modern design of this building will catch the eye of anyone passing by on the street. Its geometric pattern and jutting panes of glass were designed by renowned architect Francis Eckel. If your nation is on the cutting edge of technology, there would be no better embassy building to represent this than the Westmeier.
Ottomar House
58 Diamond Street
This imposing structure at the middle of Diamond Street is one of the oldest surviving buildings in downtown Tyrrin City. Do not let its age deter you, as it was recently renovated to provide your staff with a maximum level of comfort. This building has historically been reserved for the most trusted allies of Tyrrin, and it has ample space for a larger number of staffers than the average embassy building.
Hemmingstall House
Occupied by: Delphine du Barli, Delvoir
700 Collomet Avenue
The Hemmingstall House looks more like a palace from the outside, as an entire block of Collemet Avenue is taken up by its facade of ornate windows. This building features a large ballroom that is perfect for hosting large gatherings of state dignitaries, and it would be perfect if you intend on schmoozing with area politicians, both Tyrrinian and foreign. The furnishings within the building are fantastic as well.
Gaszi Building
900 Collomet Avenue
The Gaszi Building is by far the most easily defensible embassy building available. It is the only building to feature a concrete security wall, a guard barracks, and its own underground firing range. This may be a good choice for you if you anticipate problems with the local Tyrrinian, or even with our government in the future.
Ebbets Building
18 Nivet Street
The Ebbets Building is unfortunately located in the neighborhood of Gramling, which is outside of the typical government district in Tyrrin. Gramling is known as a somewhat shady neighborhood within the city, so any staff should be on their guard if they leave the building late at night alone. The building is also a bit run down due to its location, so make sure your staff is aware of this before they arrive, as they might be a bit disappointed when they get there otherwise.
