History: Pre-King-[1957-1960]
The Republic Started out as loose collection of Guards from several nations across the world.They eventually came together at the current location of Nexus, they came up with a plan to take control of the mountains and forests surrounding their new home. As the group was made up of elite troops from a plethora of nations they set out to eliminate the leaders of the two largest nations in the area, The Mountain People's Monarchy,and the Democratic states of the Forest. Both leaders were eliminated and the other nation framed for the assassination,sparking a bitter war between the two nations that lasted 2 years and drained all of their resources. During this two year period The Guards met with a third nation The Unified Republic of The Valley In NW of current Palace Guards. An agreement was made between the two groups, as the second year drew to a close The Unified Republic of The Valley Entered the war and with its unused supply of resources they quickly overtook the weakened nations. After only two months of fighting over half of both countries had been overtaken, a peace treaty was proposed by the Guards who wished to bring all under their rule. The proposed Treaty Of Unification Would end all hostilities, put all three nations under the protection of The guards and developed the pillars of the current government system.
King John K. Archibald - 20 year reign[1960-1980]
John came to power as being one of the main negotiators of the deal between The Unified Republic of The Valley and the Guards,and helped write Treaty Of Unification . He was elected by the initial four speaker of the houses. Over the course of his reign he worked on erasing old rivalries between the nations as well as establishing The Republic Of Palace Guards as an WA recognized nation.He grew the military and set up the current governmental system. He is often recognized as the father of the nation.
King Hideki Y. Tsunaka - 5 year reign[1980-1985]
Tsunaka's relatively short reign is marked with tragedies. He is the only King ever Elected without an unanimous vote, The Speaker for The Unified Republic of The Valley and the Speaker for the Guard opposing him only for the Speaker of the Guard to eventually give in and support him. His Policy's were met with heated opposition in the Assembly, His only child was killed in a car crash,and one of his major two resolutions passed became the catalyst for a later revolution.The First of those resolutions was removing the The Unified Republic of The Valley's speaker and giving their region to the Mountain People's Monarchy. The second was a law demanding mandatory military service; four years from all men and women after education is over. He is the only King ever to be assassinated being killed by rebels from Unified Republic of The Valley, angry over not having representation.
King David J. Goidelic- Current King[1985-present]
Our esteemed king Goidelric was the youngest king ever elected at the age of 20. He dealt with the rebels peacefully by granting The Valley back there speaker and region. He has led the republic through to the present day and has developed the current military system as well as integrated the guard population into the country. HE as well removed the speaker of the guards He continues to work to make Palace Guards a national power as well as a nicer place to live.

Relative Location
The Republic Is located in the NW of what used to be Germany. It having dissolved after WWII.
Bordering Nations
The Republic is bordered by the Netherlands to the West and Poland to the rest of the border due to Poland being given most of Germany after WWII.
Maritime Claims
The republic defers to all WA resolutions on its maritime claims.
Terrain
The Republic is Heavily mountainous to the North, the only exception being the great valley in the NW. The entirety of the south part of the nation is solely hilly Germanic Forests. Again the Great valley is an exception to these overviews as it has a rainforest in the valley.
Climate
As Palace Guard's terrain can be divided into three regions so can their respective climates. The mountainous north is temperate with moderately cold winters and warm, humid summers. Temperature, rainfall, and humidity remain within limits agreeable to man and are suitable for varied plant and animal life. All seasons are marked by changes in weather that come from passing fronts and associated centers of high and low pressures. This activity is least in late spring and in summer, somewhat greater in fall, and greatest in winter and in early spring. Temperatures depart from the average least during the period of greatest activity. Temperatures at times will be lower-nearer the ground or in local areas subject to extreme air drainage. At times there may be considerable variation in temperature in hilly areas. Since the Forest is oriented north and south, the weather may vary considerably during a frontal passage. Precipitation is fairly well distributed throughout the year; there are no wet or dry seasons. October has the least rainfall, July the most. Annual free-water evaporation from shallow lakes and farm-ponds averages about 35 inches, which is about 11 inches less than the average annual precipitation. About 74 percent of the evaporation occurs from May to October.Snowfall is quite variable from year to year, and some winters have relatively little. The greatest annual total recorded for the period of this summary was 44.9 inches in 1960; the least recorded was 3.6 inches in 1949. Thunderstorms average about 46 days each year, most frequently in spring and summer but can occur in any month. They cause most of the short-duration, high intensity rainfall.
The climate of the Valley is considered to be tropical and temperate, with high temperatures throughout the year and plenty of sunny weather to go around. Throughout the year, temperatures in the Valley usually stay between 25°C / 77°F and 30°C / 86°F and rarely stray too far either side. In The Forests the summers are warm with frequent rain-showers. Winters are generally cold. The amount of snowfall and average temperatures are generally influenced by altitude rather than by various climatic regions.
The weather is continental in the sense that it varies from year to year, meaning a chilly spring and rainy summers one year can be followed by spectacularly warm and sunny the next year.
Natural Hazards
The Republic has the hazards of Wild animals attacking people, although this has never been a relative cause of death among citizens. The Mountains give way to a mix of rock-slides and avalanches. Flooding as well as all other types of natural disaster are non-existent. Getting lost is still a problem among people in Palace Guards although the well funded rescue teams usually save anyone before fatalities occur.
