Upon review of the First Amendment to the Bestiality Act, the last clause is unconstitutional due to the fourth clause in the Rights to Justice section in the Bill of Rights. Ex-post-facto laws are unconstitutional.

Because of this, I am serving notice that I will be vetoing this bill should it make it to my desk.

OOC: Sorry, just got over a migraine.

IC: Yeah, the Bill of rights is not part of our constitution as it currently stands. Though it might break a clause in the judicial act. I will have to look. But yes regardless as it has Ex- post facto it's a terrible bill, one of the worst I have seen.

Doesn't ex post facto only refer to the crime itself, not the punishment? I also struggle to see the ethical problem when the commuted punishment is more lenient than the original.

Nope it refers to sentencing as well. and No the new bill is harsher sentencing.
