Majority Now DISAPPROVES of Obama

Postby New Mitanni » Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:56 pm

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... cking_poll

Rasmussen Reports wrote:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 30% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8.

. . . .

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Today marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

It's taken him about six months to plunge into negative territory.

So: how low will Obama's approval plunge? And is this the beginning of the public's realization that they made a mistake last November and will have to deal with three more years of a failed presidency?

The very modern model of an impartial query.

Who cares? He's president now. The only number that really matters is how many people vote for him when he runs for reelection in 2012.
Signatures are for losers.

Hmmm, according to Gallup his approval is at 56% and disapproval is at 39%...

Of course, I meant the overall topic discussion, not the subject we are talking about (in this case, Obama) :(

heh he's not done too badly and it will take more than a poll to dislodge his support properly, and so far he's made all the right noises and moves.
I reckon it's because the economy isn't suddenly sprining back into life people are going, "hang on a minute, did he mean we can or he can?".
He got nothing to worry about from the voters yet, give it another 6 months for all the other sillyness to happen around the world, maybe then he might start to worry.

Anyway, why are the approval ratings so important? They're only a measure of the president's popularity, not of how well he's doing. And as we know, mobs are easily swayed.

Not quite. When Obama is trying to push his stuff through Congress, if his approval rating is 25%, they'll be a lot less likely to vote for it than they would if it was 99%. Especially when it's near THEIR election time in 2010.

Of course, create a TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT to "clean it up." Then try to spend even more. So much that even Democrats in Congress are opposing it.

Obama's in charge now, and blaming Bush isn't cutting it with the American people any more. People are starting to wake up to his relentless drive to create the United Socialist States of America and they are rejecting it. Hopefully not too late.

Mitty's been like this ever since the country barely dodged putting Caribou Barbie in the Oval Office. He's picking up the right-wing torch left by Kimchi.

:D
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Oh yes, because the other trillion dollars weren't thrown in a war that started because Bush thought Iraq had WMDs

Actually the first number that matters will be how many people vote for his henchmen in 2010. The Blue Dog Democrats realize that the leadership of their party is out to destroy America and that the people aren't going to stand for it in '10.
