It's the way it's bundled to me. Yes, there's definitely less-than-stellar behavior taking place. But the legitimate gripes are thrown under the bus alongside it.

You infer a lot from just a simple lock. I'm not saying that you specifically took part in this, but it's ridiculous that people start a flame/trollfest and then cry the blues when it gets locked.

I've posted there a few times when I was REALLY bored. I agree with a lot of posters when they say that it is a less than appealing place. I feel like its the place where people with no real lives or friends go to try and make their empty lives mean something. Kind of sad really. And then you have the personality cults that arise, worshiping anything with breasts, because the kids think that if they by chance impress some internet mistress, they may get e-laid. Its really all kinds of pathetic, hence why I stick to NSG now, with all the cool kids.

Yeah, Kat was right in her analysis of it, and it isn't as though the exact same concern isn't being brought up, for the nth time, in this thread, in which it was recommended the exact same discussion could continue.

The recommendation seemed kinda odd to me, but it's possible since Kat was trying to keep an eye on both threads and both had significant issues going it, it was easier to keep an eye on one while allowing the legitimate debates to continue. I am kinda tired of the same debate coming up every three months though.

*shrugs* Like I said, I'm an "outsider" in this and most of the stuff I monitor is the most vocal part of the population. Obviously the results are going to be skewed in that case. The forum is still largely made up of idiots and newbs and a small population of good posters who may or may not stay. Maybe I'll notice this "change" too if I find a reason to stay longer than a thread or two.

As far as NSG goes, the same people debate the same issues over and over. Sometimes I look at the poster's name and am actually surprised that it's not X person from several months ago but Y new poster.

Of course not. Also, no suggestion was made to continue the discussion about why the hate for F7 anywhere else, nor was the lock explained at all. Also, clearly, there is favoritism going on here since the moderator warned both sides for flaming the other and isn't siding with longer established nations just because they're longer established.

My god, it's almost as if there's a level playing field! We can't have that!

And the 'paint the concerns as purely "longer established nations" complaining about not getting preferential treatment' post. Wondered when that would come along.

Do you guys have a playbook for when this happens? Because I swear you do the same things each time, and each time it does nothing to address anything.

The other thread was about issues with NSG. This thread was about dislike of F7. They are not the same topic. In fact, splitting the discussion about F7 off from the NSG thread was a fairly good sign of that.

Even trying to suggest that by saying we can continue our discussion here (and claiming that all we were complaining about in the first place was a dislike of F7) is nothing more than disingenuous.

I agree completely. During the summer I had come up an RP, it had taken a few weeks to work out the story-line, and...

it was essentially Germany from '32-'40.

It truly is sad. People are willing to post as much as possible though, even if it's recycled. More posts.
