I would honestly have to question how seriously he takes Islamic doctrine.

There really is a problem nowadays with people liberalizing faith to get rid of doctrine. The Apostolic faiths have done pretty good in weeding it out, but several protestants I know have said things to the tune of "If Jesus was alive today, he would have been more tolerant", which is pretty nonsensical, given that Christ was God.

As someone who attended a high school attended by large amounts of "Christians" & "Muslims", I was surrounded by enough drunkenness, fornication, & debauchery in general to agree w/ this statement 100%. I would imagine only a small fraction of the members of any major religion actually makes a decent attempt to follow their own religion's teachings.

Minor nitpick; a driver's license is not a right according to the laws or constitution of any country I know of.
Operating heavy machinery on government property is a privilege that needs to be earned by demonstrating competence.

I don't know what to think about overall; I read it over the course of a day or two, so perhaps I should read it again to let it sink in.
I thought all the stuff about music was pretty weird, though the work overall was an interesting read. The governmental ideas are interesting, to say the least.

More specifically, members of most major religions tend to disregard any teaching that is inconvenient. More fundamentalist members then use adhering to this teaching as a badge of pride, and serious members of the religion use it as a shiboleth, while at the same time indicating their stance on fundamentalism vs modernism by referring to those teachings.

For example, traditional Catholics will tend to describe themselves "Catholic, eight(or whatever number) kids", whereas a more liberal(note: probably not an actual liberal, but certainly much less of a culture warrior) Catholic of the same degree of devoutness would call themselves a "rosary praying Catholic" or "mass attending Catholic". I believe the baptist version has to do with alcohol consumption; I'm not familiar enough with any other religion to say what their equivalent is.

Mine is John Locke, although the 'Father of Liberalism' would be considered Left-Wing in his time, he would be considered Right-Wing by today's standards, using this standard; he is my favourite *Right-Wing* philosopher who created Classical Liberalism, my own ideological basis, which is associated with the Right-Wing. I like Dostoyevsky, his works had a very Russian spirit, I also like perrenial traditionalists such as Guenon and Counter enlightenment thinkers like Nietzsche, Vico, De Maistre, and J.G.Hamann. They form the basis of my view on the world who most have called 'far right'.
