Some of you who joined pretty recently won't remember this, but about five to six years ago there used to be a popular thread in F7 about memorable forumites, kind of like NS celebrities. People would post and comment on how well-known certain members were, and often elaborated about when they first posted in a discussion with them, or RPd with them, or raided with them. It was a great place for nostalgia.

I hope this can be a similar thread where we can talk specifically about those forumites who have impacted our lives or one point or another, including those who sadly are no longer among us. The ones that kinda stuck in our heads, the ones that always made us laugh, etc. But please - no insults.

Generalities: I remember Four-Sided Triangles because they called me a "Poe" my first day on the forum. I learned what the word "Poe" was that day!

Hippostania (spelling?) always made me laugh. So did the Truth and the Light (Lies and Ignorance). Funniest avatar goes to Franklin Bluth. Try debating seriously with a muppet. Of course, debating seriously with Richard Nixon - a la Mike the Progressive - was equally funny, especially when Mike was drunk. I miss Nightkill and South Asia Minor too for some reason because they both had the unique distinction of making me spray my drink over my keyboard. I forgot what it was?, but I've never laughed so hard at something on an online forum.

Other forums: Jenrak, Junkyland, and Of the Quendi introduced me to RPing. I have nothing but fond memories of Jenrak, but is it true they had cancer at one point?

Oh well, these are some of the people I can recollect from my time on NS. Sadly, others I cannot remember their names just their avatars. Like pink flash animation of a gas mask girl.

What about you? Who were the most memorable characters in your colorful past on this forum? Anybody who made a difference?

The search function is having a real fucking problem even separating the name from keywords in posts.

Something tells me that they were one of those posters that pops up out of the blue for a little while, but doesn't stick around. I think what makes American Freedom unique is that CFS is probably them.

It would be nice to be remembered, to know that I meant something to somebody, but I honestly don't know how one does that.

To be honest, you were one of the first posters I saw when I first came on here, so I'll probably remember you. The only reason I didn't list you was because I never really interacted with you.

A while ago, I got a TG from some DOS guy who was swiftly v&, trying to troll me for my status as nonbinary trans. There were a lot of other people listed, and I'm pretty sure they all got it, too. I just laughed at it, honestly. I know not everybody can do that, but it was just hilarious to see somebody waste their time trying to break me.

That might be about right, even though we had a few others who were quite capable of generating hundreds of posts each day. Mind you, many of those were masters of one word posts, which is not exactly the kind of behaviour you want to encourage in an online community.

except we found that picture elsewhere on the internet and she turned out to be some model

i think she had actually been in the midst of introducing another character by the time people found out her sister at least was def fake

i know another guy who is currently claiming to be mongolian and grew up in mongolia but in previous posts said hes british and arab

also when i ask questions about mongolia he quickly tries to change discussion

plus they dont actually know mongolian lol

also someone who is sort of a regular here but i wont name them ahaha
