Perhaps, but they won't forget their gym clothes again.

A healthy lesson for them. :p

And isn't that the real purpose of school?

What's up with that? Kids don't shower anymore? They just spend the rest of the school day reeking? Do they really think deodorant alone will cover up their stink?

Did you shower in school? If not, why not? I did. Hell, we used to tease the few kids that didn't.

I went to a K-12 school. I started in the 6th grade. We hardly ever used the locker rooms.

During 6th grade, they used it for only changing clothes. One rumor I heard was that the showers didn't work. I'm not sure how true that was, though.

During 7th grade, we did that again. What happened, however, was Admin wanted to have a small lecture before each gym class on team building skills. After a couple of weeks, they realized that changing, the lecture, and the actual P.E. part couldn't happen in the 45 minutes allotted. So they just said, "play in your school uniforms." Even after they stopped requiring the lecture, they never started changing again.

I really only remember being in there twice for high school. Once for a tornado warning, and again because it had become storage space, and we needed prom decorations from there. I know the basketball team used them.

Because the school was on the verge of extinction, I transferred during my senior year. They didn't even have locker rooms. Rather, there was a stage on the opposite side of the bleachers. That stage had two entrance stairwells. The away team used one at halftime, and the home team used the other. Teams changed in the restroom. Don't even bother with it for gym class.

Personally, I'm against high schools having locker rooms. Since you can tell students to dress appropriately for gym class, and there are several problems with locker rooms addressed in the media, it seems like an unnecessary liability.
Have fun with it is my main. Since everyone started abbreviating it, and I was pronouncing the abbreviation, I set this up so it could be official.

It's statements like this that make me scratch my head and wonder if the OP was on the giving end of punching kids. Showering during school was a death sentence when I grew up.

When it came to punching, I was mostly on the receiving end. But I also tended to earn them with pranks and other mischief. But the idea of being mocked for taking a shower after PE is alien to me. It was the ones that didn't that frequently got the mockery.

No one at my school showered after gym class in high school.

There was already barely enough time to change out of gym clothes before we had to get to our next class, plus no one trusted that the showers would actually be cleaned properly.

If there isn't enough time and the facilities aren't clean, complain. Have your parents complain.

I don't think most people care enough to make a fuss if no one else seems to care.

And why would they care anyway? Like I am not sure what age we are talking about here but for most of my school days I and most people around me did not really care about being sweaty unless it was something super amazingly bad. Like, nobody I knew took baths every single day. Nobody. And back in the day that meant something because we did not really use to have all this fancy technology. Sure we had TVs and stuff. And the occasional guy had a video game console. But there was no internet to easily get your entertainment from. We couldn't just dial up youtube and have trillions of hours of fun at our fingertips. So we had to actually entertain our self's by performing acts of outdoors physical activity. Like running around all day long like good little monkeys. And when you take a little monkey that's been running around all morning chasing after a ball, send him to school where he will use every free period kids will get sweaty. It just was not considered a big deal. And I imagine that for a lot of kids born before the 2000's that's going to be familiar.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

I know that athletes on the school teams showered, don't think the PE kids did though. Perhaps it's because showering involves time and preparation that many students didn't want to put the effort in doing.

When I was in high school, the showers weren't heated. During normal PE, this wasn't an issue, because in winter when the water got really cold I opted out for wrestling. Wrestling, though, would end at six or seven o'clock in winter, and if you don't shower immediately you risk a serious infection. Of course, the water was painfully cold, and the literal bloodstains on the walls hardly helped the ambiance, so we would all run home immediately, even over ice, so that we could shower with warm water. On at least one occasion, a wrestler broke his leg badly and was out the rest of the season because he was sprinting home to shower and fell on black ice.

No one showers at my school, but in my school any sport that might get you sweaty was done in the winter, when you froze and didn't sweat anyway. Except for running. The solution for most people was that they wiped themselves off with their sport shirt and then sprayed a bit of deodorant, most people didn't smell afterwards anyway, so it didn't really matter. Partly because we all tried to avoid any serious exercise whilst doing PE.

Santa school lacked the infrastructure. Changing rooms were just rooms with long wooden benches and racks to hang your clothes on.
