If you're being truthful, I don't wanna be rude about this. However, it's important to remember that dreams aren't verifiable accounts of what is real and what isn't. People from all religions have these experiences, what makes you so sure that your experience is the valid one? Because it happened to you?

For instance, I had a dream where Joe Biden had a gun, and told me to shoot Obama so he could be President. Does that mean that this is a calling? Hell no, and this dream is like 20% true, but you see my point.

It could be your own sense of greed and wish to be saved. The vision of you even having one is something that is going to withstand a lot of scrutiny. Remind yourself this is kind of like prosecuting rape. It usually only one person's alibi, and no solid proof.

Two entirely different statements, not at all comparable to individual struggles or current societal issues - but based entirely on a person's perceptions, who and what they are, and believe to be true. If you wouldn't insult the one, perhaps - just perhaps - it might be fair not to insult the other, however much you may disagree with them. It may not be important to you, but it is to them.

Yes, this does work both ways, and yes, I am looking at any Christian or religious persons who slam any other groups or persons out there in the same manner. It's ugly. It's out of line. And it has no place on these forums, according to site rules.

As I said, it is important to those involved and making those statements. And it is personal when you accuse them of delusions, and 'magical sky fairies' and other such insulting bits. Sorry to put it so bluntly, and take two differing topics that often go head to head in opposition (and outright nastiness), given some people's perceptions of what is or isn't 'right', but I thought it might give pause. Sure, it might also royally piss some people off, but that's the way of things when it comes to opposing views that people hold strongly. It is rarely comfortable to acknowledge that your right to an opinion does not supersede another person's right to theirs, nor beliefs, nor statement of self, nor do they require your approval, nor you theirs.

Honestly, religion is WASTE of time and with my experience in christianity, it doesn't change anything. It is a fact that some of the most empathetic caring people come from Buddhism.
