Besides, if they work enough to calm a child down for a certain amount of time, no sense in turning them into storage.

Trust me , it isn't minor , wisdom teeth are a minor problem compared to OCD , and OCD can require medication and therapy to control .
OCD also has some overlap in terms of symptoms with Aspergers

You'd think they would at least have the walls covered in padding to cover their asses incase a kid starts beating the wall with his fists or god forbid his head.

These isolation rooms seem questionable to me. If they are to be used they should be padded, and please, don't break children's hands while closing the door...

I'd assume because it differentiates too far from 'the norm', and the military won't spend extra funding to accommodate those with autism. Considering that only 1 in 68 are autistic, there's no need to accommodate for them.

From the pictures I've seen while looking up "Isolation Rooms" and "Seclusion Rooms", most of them are padded. It seems that this school however didn't meet the standard.

But yes, the parents should have had the cost of the surgery paid off, and whoever slammed their hand in the door should be tried for child abuse if you ask me.
