So, back to the topic in the OP,

I am curious about why Hagel is resigning. I hadn't heard about any tension between him and the president (of course, I probably wasn't looking in the right place for that information). Was this purely a difference of political opinion? I've been told that Obama and the Pentagon have been at odds over a few issues lately. Anyone have any information on that?

It's a huge leap in logic to assume Obama is trying to install a "secularist theocracy" just because he's having issues with his cabinet. It has been made apparent he's not the best manager so it makes sense that he would have problems with staff. Besides, how could he be an atheist? I thought he was Muslim .

I don't mean to become involved, but I don't believe you can make that argument. Bratislavskaya never alleged that Archeuland's opinion was invalid because "anything that doesn't fit my worldview is invalid in politics." You're making an assumption of Bratislavaskaya's worldviews and opinions that may or may not be true.

Also, even if that was his worldview, then, logically, Archeuland's opinions would still be invalid. That's just because of the logic being used though, not necessarily because of the soundness of the argument.
