Obviously English should turn bak its clock to when "man" was gender neutral term for human and if you referd to male human you used term "were/wir",

If a human lacks the ability to communicate, are they not a person?
If a human is unconscious, are they not a person?
If a human with brain damage is not self-aware, are they not a person?
What of our activity is not determined by genetics to the same degree as anything else, from bacteria to dogs?
