Once again, I'll take your word for it.

Give me one example of a Mongoloid group without that trait.

Amerindians. Not all of them have it.

Physical Anthropology doesn't hold any ground in how geneticists look at humans.

Sure, they are a "legit" anthropological branch (again, ask Archreg for this, I don't know) but it doesn't mean they are accurate in this.

Given these distinctions came up in 1989 I am not sure how valid they are.

Getting some firsts still doesn't make up for the fact they lost the space race and didn't even come close to What NASA was doing. By the time Gemini was over the soviets were left in the dust. nor does it make up for the fact that much their space agency hasn't accomplished as much as Nasa since the end of the space race. Only thing Russia after the 60s did better than the US was space stations. NASA Beat them to the moon and left their unmanned program in the dust.

Also a few of the firsts you mentioned aren't that significant. (For example the first women in space was little more than a gimmick for bragging rights. Only a a tiny handful of women have flown as cosmonauts since then. And they weren't exactly treated well.) Voskhod 1 also wasn't much of an accomplishment it was literally a Vostok capsule with a

In evolutionary biology and cladistics, however, you need something called a diagnostic trait in order to justify creating categories within populations of organisms. A diagnostic trait could be genetic or it could be phenotypic, but it nuts allow a hypothetical observer wth no other reference point to sort the two populations from one another 100% of the time without fail.

And, of course, this is where the idea of race as a legitimate phylogenetic category falls apart; for every racial trait you can name, there are exceptions to the rule. Skin colour, blood types, mitochondrial haplogroups, epicanthal folds, none of them perfectly describe the categories that racialists want to construct.

Except I do know immigrants. Lots of them. And not a single one has been worth a shit. Most of them are border hopping scum that send almost all their paychecks back to Mexico and then whine because they're broke. Not only are they leeches, but they get special treatment. For example, I was with a buddy of mine and he's friends with a guy we'll call Jorge for this story, and we get pulled over, there's some marijuana in the car, some of it mine some of it not. We all end up getting charged and pay our fines. Then come this summer I'm talking with Jorge and find out that he got that wiped off his record so he could avoid getting deported for when he tries to apply for a greencard. He's been trespassing for more than a decade and he gets his entire record scrubbed clean. If I had gone to ask if I could get that removed from my record, they'd tell me tough shit pothead, should've thought about that before you smoked reefer. Of course later I found out he told his lawyer to shred his green card application because he'd rather abuse the privilege of living here and keep sending money to Mexico rather than pay taxes on it.

What do ya know, Europeans can have it as well it seems.

Also the San are not Mongoloid. They are one of 14 ancestral population clusters, the ancestors of all human beings.

1. I wonder who you get together with and what kind of associations you hold.

2. And so now all of us are marihuana addicts? Besides you smoking Marihuana tells me EXACTLY who you hang out with, it doesn't look good on your end.

3. Illegal Immigration =/= people who get a green card and naturalize and come from good families (nothing against illegal immigrants, I know some of them come from good families too). How you make the leap all of us immigrants are poor marihuana addicts who send our paychecks to Mexico is beyond me.

4. I'm beginning to suspect bullshit from your friend here.

5. This confirms me he was full of shit. In other words, your anecdotal evidence is bullshit because you are making a stereotype out of all of us immigrants. Some of us are proud to be here and some of us want to achieve more than what we can down in Latin America.

In my experiences most of us don't. Yes, several immigrants want to do that (but they are illegal immigrants, read: people who do not have their green card nor their citizenship) but not all of us do, and not all illegal immigrants want to do it either.

See, your issue here is that you are arguing under the incorrect assumption I and all other U.S. Citizens/Residents/Illegal Aliens are 1) illegal aliens who got their citizenship through illegal means and 2) me and others are potheads along with 3) that I and all others will hang out with someone who smokes marihuana like you when we know it's against the law and that I and all others don't have class and dignity like your friend Jorge clearly doesn't.

Just because you know several of them doesn't mean you know us all, so get off that high moral horse which shits all over the place instead of keeping a straight clean line and stop making assumptions which are not only wrong, but that have objectively no value.

For the record, I am not saying Marihuana should be illegal. I am pro-drug myself, but while it is against the law I am not too keen on people who actually break the law either. It is getting decriminalized and thank God for that, but it doesn't mean you get to assume I and others are lawbreakers simply because we're Latino or immigrants. Also I am not pro-drugs because I think I want to hit the pot, on the contrary, I just see the economic and social benefits from it. It would eliminate the black market we have helped create in Mexico for one.

This shows that there are Mongoloids (Native Americans) without it.

The San are also not Mongoloid. The Kalahari is a far cry away from the eastern half of Eurasia and the Americas.

You also don't get a free pass in telling me that we want to make the U.S. a Northern Mexican hell hole or that people like me who have busted our ass in getting our citizenship are disloyal to America. Learn how to argue, if you can make stereotypes about me and my people as well as other immigrants and put bullshit "4 generations" rules simply because you have met at most 50 - 100 immigrants ever what gives YOU a free out of jail card into making bullshit stereotypes and not have any shit thrown back at you? Being American doesn't make you impervious to me criticizing you.

Also, I never said your smoking was bad. The fact you got caught, paid the fine, and your friend lied to you plus got out of the process without being deported does reflect on your associations.

I've also met a lot of immigrants. Some of them have been really cool. Others not so much. It all depends on the individual.

1. You have no idea how many of us there are, and what we do for a living. I know people from all walks of life that smoke. Zoologists, nurses, cops, electricians, plumbers, farmers, firefighters, soldiers, pastors, truck drivers, cooks, accountants, mechanics.

And I never said mexicans are all potheads.

You also don't get a free pass in telling me that we want to make the U.S. a Northern Mexican hell hole or that people like me who have busted our ass in getting our citizenship are disloyal to America. Learn how to argue, if you can make stereotypes about me and my people what gives YOU a free out of jail card?

I didn't say want to, I said are making. Its not a conscious effort to this country into Mexico, but rather a subtle shift that you really have to see first hand rather sit behind a keyboard preaching equality.

I live in Dallas, where there is a heavy Mexican immigrant population. I don't see shootings everyday down here or people making this a Northern Mexican hellhole like Ciudad Juarez. So your comparison holds little merit and like NFP said above you, it all depends on the individual. I'm not like the immigrants you have met, and I'm an immigrant and 1st gen Citizen myself, and I also have not met an immigrant who is anything like you have described this so-called "Jorge" to be. So don't come to me all high and mighty saying we ARE turning the country into a bad place just because you have shitty associations.

If you think I am making such an implication you are reading far into my words.

What is the state of the neighborhoods though? I know a few who came from Dallas and heard quiet a few horror stories.

Mexicans have had their ancestors (and more of them) here for far longer than yours have. Your Taino heritage takes you way further back in the Americas than do the white immigrants from the 1600s.

A long history in the Americas does not make someone more of a "native" in the US. Not all of the Americas are the US.

It's an okay neighborhood. We don't have any violence and right now it's pretty quiet besides the occasional dog barking because a car or a dog is passing by. I live next to a neighbor who gets a little loud during Fridays but meh, it's Friday, and I have heavy sleep so I don't care about him.

All that's playing right now is my music in my room. Also the neighborhood is kept very clean for a Mexican neighborhood compared to the "shitholes" I keep hearing other people around the U.S. complaining about.

I've been in other parts of the Dallas County and my brother resides in Ft. Worth (and also has been all over Tarrant County, he is doing his PhD in TCU) We don't hear any complaints other than the common heat and humidity during the summer. Anything else you want me to tell you about Dallas? Or are you going to expand into Dallas and outlying areas of Denton county, Commerce, and Ennis County as well as Ranger TX and shifting the goalposts until your rabid need to corner me and go "AHA! I knew it!" is satisfied? Because if that's the case I can tell you, you won't.
