I don't think you understand the meaning of scientific theory, which is "a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses."

Using that definition as a guide, there is plenty of testable evidence that re-confirms the scientific theory of evolution, ranging from the 23rd pair of human chromosomes to archeopteryx to smaller cats having a virus that larger cats do not even though they're not that far removed on their family tree.

Now, if we apply the same laws, tests, and inferences to something like, oh let's say Creationism. We find a lot of biblical allegories for the origin of life as written by a tribe in the desert 3000 years ago and re-translated again and again and bastardized by the lingua faca of the translator over and over....and not much else beyond that.

Yes. The best argument in favour of evolution is the human race. We are all Homo Sapiens. However the fact that some people are black, some are white and that there are other races proves evolution is a fact.

Okay I'm from Indiana, and a podunk part of it, so. I understood the concept, but it wasn't covered, and we didn't even get into cellular biology until I was 14, and that's only because I took the AP class.

I was giving district level examinations in year 8 (13 years) and biology was based on evolution.

I'm sorry, but a school that does not teach evolution is just as bad as a school that does not teach history. It's important to know where you came from and how you got here. It could tell you what problems you could still yet face, and it's vital for understanding fully the society that you live in.

It's alright not to be teaching evolution in year 7 - which in American is probably, like, early middle school - but if they never teach evolution, you can be pretty sure they're not actually decent.

Here's the long and short of it: DNA determines what plants and animals become. If you get some DNA which helps them reproduce, that DNA will spread through the population and you'll get plants or animals which are slightly different as a result. If the DNA hurts their ability to reproduce, that DNA will stop there (or at least, it won't spread very well). Sometimes, new DNA is introduced by mutations or other genetic changes. The change of DNA over time means species change over time. That's evolution.
