Though I haven't any bees right now. Disease struck the local apiary and well.. that plus a weak summer and bad winter.. Thinking of getting some next year though. Just a nuc to start off and then build it up. Maybe marking the Queen too, it's hell searching for unmarked queens, even after you've got your eye in.

I tried doing that once, they all died in a year. I apparently got a type not used to the cold of the winters here.

Reading old and odd Political Manifesto's and Politic writings. (Mostly european from the 1790's to the early 1950's)

I also practice saber occasionally, Although i have not taken classes in the field of swordplay in ages.

I also collect and consume rare and fairly strong alcoholic beverages when i can. (not Scotch! Friggin Hate scotch)

I also do part time book keeping for the local Militia when i can if you count that as a hobby.

You wouldn't have happened to have a character who used "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter as his theme would you? And had a finisher called UDON?

I try to prevent Dwarf Fortresses from slipping into horrific apocalypses, which, as you may well know, is an exercise in futility.

I had a lot of unusual hobbies, like that time I began building a mechanical computer out of Lego (mine was abandoned midway, but here is someone else's Lego-computer), but I haven't done anything like that in a year or so. I'm becoming a boring person.

Ah. Different circles then. Shame, the guy who played the character I described, I lost touch with.

You don't play EWR or TEW?

Ah, well. In addition to being the evil HOA lady, I sew, knit, crochet, do hand-spinning, do counted cross-stitch, collect cookie cutters and teapots and raise tarantulas and snakes. And play Diablo III and Mass Effect.

:meh: What sort of rifles do you have? I use my Grand Father's Kar to hunt elk occasionally, The thing still works as well as it did when it came off the factory in 39. But the Cartridge is too large and powerful for anything smaller then Deer, it just ruins the meat of anything smaller.

Video games apparently aren't strange hobbies according to the OP. Or else I would have described it as the only thing I do.

It needs context, it does. How many 65 year old grandmothers do you know who play video games?

I have 3 years to get my mom to play video games and me to father some kids. Is this a challenge?

I research firearms and then proceed to draw them in MSpaint and post them in Factbooks & National information.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.

Honestly, how many people really are into the silly four hobbies you may have had to list over and over again when you were a kid applying for something...?

...Other than everybody I suppose...

No, this thread is for those strange hobbies you partake in that you're sure wouldn't be listed in common activity lists, from strange sports, mud pie throwing, glass making, and anything else you're sure is rare and wonderful...

Personally, I play a karimba while listening to other music, I dare myself to read books in the most strangest of positions, places and times, and I walk my dog in the park...

So what do you like to do NSG, that you're sure no one could guess?
