I disagree. Sure some people may have some idiotic opinion but that is just because it is idiotic to other people and yet still it may mean something to someone enough to argument about it. If you don't like my opinion then please disagree and argue about it. I would defend your right to tell me your opinion even in case I hate it. (I think someone said something similar some quotation? Perhaps I could search Wikiquote to see if there are any quotation of relevance)

I would like to think the mods maintain free speech to a point (that is, free speech but no hate speech). I understand truly free speech cannot occur here - otherwise we'd devolve into a junkie den of trolls and spammers - but I'd like to think the mods allow a reasonable amount of freedom when it comes to expressing our opinions.

Ah yes, the complain-about-teh-ebil-modz thread. Formerly a staple of the topics-you-pull-out-when-the-regular-topics-become-too-old pool, it got ruined when you-know-who, angry about how teh ebil modz locked his conversion threads and banned him when he kept posting them when the mods specifically told him not to, started a 'revolution' to bring down the 'fascist' mods and promptly spammed NSG with those threads until he was DOSed. Now that he's been gone for a long time, and I've been banned for three days, I would like to make my own complain-about-teh-ebil-modz thread, as is customary when a n00by poster gets mildly annoyed at teh ebil modz. So without further ado, my the whining begin!

1. That Annoying Ban on Gravedigging

Why? What does gravedigging do? Does it waste valuable server space? Does it make the forum look bad to censorship programs? Does it kill people? Does it lead to loads of lawsuits? Is it a sin? Did a gravedigger murder your family in cold blood?

2. Too Weak on Trolls
Just ask anyone who's been here for more than a month.I'd give examples, but...

3. Trollnaming
As you should know, flaming is banned on virtually every forum with moderators who do more than delete CP. The same is true on NS. For the most part. I have seen many people accuse people who disagree with them of being trolls, including, ironically, a probable troll. Please mods, if some asshole calls someone a troll outside of Moderation, could you just DAMN THEM TO HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY warn them?

5. Many of the mods have no sense of humor.
Seriously. This was this was the reason I banned for three days, and why many people have gotten worse.

One guy (littleguru) baited me. I responded and he quickly removed his post. I got Banned.

We can't change content in a post without it being obvious that we've changed the content in a post.

I am about to go back and make a tiny edit to the post I'm quoting above. You'll notice that it subsequently carries a tagline stating 'last edited by The Archregimancy', and telling you precisely when the edit occurred.

So if we do start running around 'manipulating' posts, you'll all be able to tell - and you'll know precisely which mod did it, and when they did it.

Say, is it possible to see what a post was like pre-edit post-edit? Because we reported this poster for something once and a subsequent edit eliminated it... still a really weird post though. All that remained was FST's and possibly another nation's "fixed" quote.
