I should probably do this by Getting Helpless.. but isn't there something heretical about being Hellier than Hell?

If so, you could deem the name to be offensive, and delete the nation ... it says in the rules ... "without warning". Also, for the lulz.

You probably need one of the atheist mods to rule on this one.

So instead of buying one huge-ass drink, people will now buy two medium-sized drinks...which is basically the same, other than that it creates more garbage.
Or do we assume that overweight people are to lazy to go back for a second soda?

One could argue that it's a person's own choice to drink whatever he wants, without interference from the goverment. But if that's the case, people should also be able to chose where their taxes go to. So let us say that people can drink and eat whatever they want, but you get a little check-box on your tax-papers saying that you don't want any money to go to those people who get health problems due to obesity or smoking etc..
The goverment has a responsibility to use your money in a way that benefits the entire nation, so trying to lessen the cost of health treatments for people who don't know what's best for them is a must IMO.

I assume most people are too lazy to go back for a second soda.

For the most part, people eat/drink until what's in front of them is gone, not by satiation cues. They tend to only start to pay attention for those afterwards.

Also, they tend to think of getting larger amounts as a bargain and also to get the most of what they possibly can. So, when the smallest fountain drink size is 32 oz., they fill up instead of getting a reasonable amount.

what he should have done was put it up for a vote and let New Yorkers decide if they wanted to ban the sale of soda larger then 16 fl oz. if you let the people decide they would be more willing to comply. but if you just shove it up their butt then there less willing to comply with the mandate.

FYI
Only the board of health (all bloomberg appointees) has to approve, city council does not get a vote.

Bloomberg is trying to create his legacy, he mesaures it by having his citizens life expectency increase. He feels this regulation will help people live longer, healthier lives. (hat other people think, or want, Bloomberg does not give a shit.

Spamming. With pictures.
Making an obscene gesture adds nothing whatever to the conversation.

What if you post a picture that isn't obscene but is funny or is a meme, is that considered picspamming?

Image Spam: Posting of repeated or multiple images that do not serve to help the flow of the thread. This can be the use of images to RP, the use of repeated pictures to declare a point, or the use of semi-flame images from somethingawful or ebaumsworld to mock others.

See the above. Also:
Images: Images are acceptable in General as long as they are somewhat relevant to the discussion (In other words not just pics for pics sake) and and spoiler'ing is encouraged. Memes are forbidden under site rules.

I think NOFX had the answer to that question...
