You could also check out a pow-wow, as they'll be held all through the warm months. They are generally held in aboriginal communities and you'd have to search that community specifically for a date...but there are also often mini 'urban' pow-wows if you're living in the cities.

My 'meh' was in the vein of..."Do I want to take the time and energy to convince this guy that he should learn about Aboriginal people and then research a way for him to get to a good pow-wow?" to which I answered..."Meh".
