Okay, I stand partially corrected. [violet] at least has an academic curiosity about it. Still, Jolt won't release it and there's little point in trying to convince 'em to.

I don't know what it was, but between the large boxes filled with options and lack of any real spirit or... its insane, ad-centric organization, NS2 always caused me to fall asleep just looking at it.

At this point I'd only see them releasing the code if it could somehow make them money to do so.

Which is, like, virtually impossible.

So... yeah. Don't worry, if you want NS 2 back, you could just ask thirteen programmers to program a sequel to NS 2 while drunk, playing 'Money Money Money', and surrounded by stock graphics packages.

It was probably someone with a similar name. There's Maxtopian, Maxtopians, Maxganistan, and many others. Max Barry's nation, I would expect, would just be an average nation with no "Max" in its name, to avoid people suspecting who is really behind the nation.
