So if you a a reader of HXH you know they are going to the dark continent and when they came back the brought back a super threat the destroyed the world and my nation is trying to rebuild, I plan to add the use of the poor mans rose. Add any other suggestions and rate my idea please.

1) Copying any series 100% is, with all due respect, a very bad idea. If you want to copy something, put your own twist onto it.

2) You should not really require other people to know certain works of art, especially a manga hundreds of chapters long. Instead, why not write a simple depiction?

I mean simple put a boy looking for his father. My idea is not to "copy" but put it into a fan fic lore sorta thing for my nation. Me Idea is that after a expedition to the dark continent some super major threat caused an apocalypse across the world.

So expand on this threat. What is it? Why is it a threat? What exactly is this supposed twist? Does Nen work and function the way it needs to?

It's really difficult to build a lore than a lot of people are not going to understand. No one should be required to read hundreds of managa chapters or dozens of anime episodes to understand the gist of your lore. Keep it simple with your own twist perhaps. Maybe an alternate universe? Keep in my that this could limit roleplaying involvement on NS as many nations do not acknowledge magic or other fantasy elements.

You're going to need to flesh out the details on this dark continent visit. Explain the threat and how it leads to the current state of your country. Establish your government, people, and their unique aspects. Furthermore, once you've done this, we can give a more constructive critique. There's simply just too much we do not know to offer you any more than broadly defined advice.

I was considering a concept involving a mind-controlling disease or another threat emerging from a mysterious location, causing chaos. Instead, I am contemplating creating my own unique menace. One of its abilities would be to "corrupt" its surroundings. Nen will function as intended in my fanfic/lore for my nation. While I am unsure if I want to turn it into a rp, I appreciate constructive criticism.

I still haven't finished my factbook to put things into context. But it seems like you'll have a much easier time then I will if you probably include a brief synopsis of HxH's premise and main story. That way it can easily be connected to the your own lore for the reader. Good luck!

I completely agree with this. If you love whatever "HXH" is, don't let anyone tell you that you can't implant hundreds of manga pages of lore into your nation. Do it, even if you want to just do it straight and then role play as if HXH was dynamically expanded by interacting with outer parts of the world.

However, as others have warned, very few people know what "HXH" is, so you need to be ready to explain the plot, synopsis, and premise of "HXH" and what the various terms in your nation are. For example, is "The Dark Continent" a remote place in Africa, or a landmass that does not exist in RL? Why was the expedition sent? What did it bring back? How did the threat that collapsed civilization not get contained when people started acting weird? How did it infect enough people to be unable to be quarantined? Was it even a disease at all?

If you want to base off of something that already exists, be prepared to have extensive, or at least working, knowledge of the subject and, more importantly, get used to explaining it to others if they ask.
