Crusty Question: Is a Second American Civil War inevitable?

I have come to the conclusion that a second American Civil War is inevitable at this point. The Democrats are convinced that Republicans are fascists; likewise, the Republicans are convinced the Democrats are communists. Also, Republicans are convinced that the Democrats are in cahoots with China, and the Democrats think the Republicans are colluding with Russia. This is nothing at all like when Jefferson thought the Federalists were "monocrats", or when Hamilton thought the Republicans were "Jacobins": this is totally unprecedented. Or that the Republicans thought the Federalists were conspiring to restore British control over the States, and the Federalists thought the Republicans were French agents.

But despite the political polarization in our country, it is mild compared to the singular most divisive issue in our country, which will undoubtedly tear America apart someday. In Illinois, the Chicago style deep dish reigns supreme, and in New York (state), the New York (city) style pizza is most prominent. I believe the other states are taking sides on this most divisive issue, and its even possible that Hawaii will secede and join Canada, who has interfered with there own style of pizza!

What do you think NSG? Is the next American Civil War coming, with the states fighting over how we should make pizza?

Yes, of course. The amount of people who like pineapple on pizza is staggering, while everybody else pretty much agrees that pineapple on pizza is a war crime.
It wouldn't be much of a war, more like a slaughter. On the other hand, Chicago-style lovers would be alone against the thin-crust and new york style lovers. That's a bigger margin, so its be a war, alright.

I like both Chicago- and New York-style pizza, but if a war broke out between the two, I'd have to side with deep dish (and that's not just on account of my Midwestern loyalty). I enjoy Hawaiian pizza too, but it's rarely my first pick. I'll happily eat thin crust too, but I'd choose stuffed crust over that every time.

I personally believe it is LIKELY, but not inevitable. It doesn't matter who wins in the next presidential election; the other side is absolutely going to make complaints. In the worst case scenario, a second civil war could break out.

I can see corn working, but I just can't imagine tuna or mayo being good on red sauce. Alfredo maybe.
