What is better: Pancakes or Waffles?

I think we can all agree it’s the baked breakfast treats we made along way that really matter.

I hold them as equivalent. Though I like the taste and texture of pancakes better, I appreciate the fact that waffles hold syrup and other toppings more effectively.

Kalo gw sih sukanya pancake, or panekuk as some of us call them in my country. For me, it is the shit, add some maple syrup or if I'm in a restaurant, served with ice cream on top!

And another thing i like is Croffles! usually sold by street vendors, served alongside chocolate or strawberry dip, it too is the shit.

Harder to make, but IMO versatile, and a different texture to pancakes. Those nooks and crannies can contain stuff much better than pancakes, like chocolate chips, sausage gravy, bacon bits, jam, taco fixings (with corn based waffles), etc.

This morning: whole grain pancakes. Add to the batter an egg, a little oil, some vanilla, walnuts, chocolate chips. Yum.
