DIPLOMATIC VS. QUALIFIED IMMUNITY
Your country's Ambassador and their immediate family members receive diplomatic immunity upon arrival in the Evenguard of Azura, and cannot be arrested or detained by the National Constabulary except in times of war for the purposes of security or when a diplomatic mission is being forcibly closed. All other foreign-born staff of the Embassy retain Qualified Immunity, which limits their civil and criminal liability, but does not allow them to violate the constitutional rights of an Azuran citizen. Those with qualified immunity can be arrested for knowingly depriving Azuran citizens of their constitutional rights. ON THE IMPORTATION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
The Evenguard of Azura carefully monitors the illicit narcotics trade through its rehabilitation clinics and safe use facilities. The importation of illicit narcotics or other pharmaceutical products is strictly controlled by the Azuran Customs and Immigration Enforcement Directorate, and all Embassy personnel without diplomatic immunity will be subject to abide by strict control laws in place in the capital city of Raevenna. Pharmaceuticals and other illicit materials brought in for the personal consumption of Embassy staff members may be discussed during the processing of the Embassy application. Blanket exemptions exist for those Embassy personnel receiving medicinal treatment for chronic health conditions like cancer or diabetes.
ON THE IMPORTATION OF WEAPONRY
The importation of weaponry for the purposes of security will be accepted under the auspices of the authority of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Directorate, or ATFD. The ATFD will work hand-in-hand with your Embassy staff to procure the weaponry needed to secure your Embassy grounds and maintain security around the clock. Weapons permitted on Embassy grounds must be limited to handguns, long rifles, revolvers and shotguns. Non-lethal projectiles such as rubber pellet bullets or bean bags, scattershot rubber pellet claymore charges and other non-lethal ordinance are permitted on Embassy grounds along with flashbang and smoke grenades. Fragmentation or incendiary grenades and other explosives are not permitted at Embassies.
RECIPROCITY OF EMBASSIES FROM AZURA
The Evenguard of Azura highly encourages the reciprocity of exchanging diplomatic missions between Azura and each individual applying nation. If your nation would prefer to request the Evenguard of Azura establish a diplomatic mission in your country, please fill out the appropriate section on the application form provided at the end of this page. The process of establishing an Embassy will be handled presently by the Azuran Diplomatic Corps and will commence post haste from the completion of your application through the official queue.
