That's cool, I appreciate the thread split, and how you specified no NPO threadjacks but you didn't specify no TSP-admin threadjack (Rosvin's current dual role). Or, I don't think that would be a threadjack, since i find it's on topic, and I'm too reluctant to start an entire new thread over this? Along with this quote and from remembering a past ruling where you advised to post in threads, and to not make standalone threads, when the topic is too small or blog-like in nature, I think that it's the right move to leave my post here instead of a new thread, and I don't intend to drag it out either.

Anyway, you might be mistaken to split my 2nd post as one of my separate posts (the second one of 2) isn't related to the NPO at all. It's about a new mod's TSP publication. Are we allowed to talk about that one (you didn't specify)? If not, you can split this one there too.

In summary:

This new NS Mod needs to take down his current TSP publication linked in a region. I'm seriously pissed.

A public & controversial OOC published post made on a teenager (at the time) by 2 middle aged guys paints a bad look.

Have we EVER seen a Nationstates mod make a whole thread talking about a single person? No? Then that behavior should extend to off-site as well. Why the heck does this man still have his thread still up?

I don't want to be a debbie downer but I'm feeling genuinely reservations.

Should this reservation be its own separate thread, but I don't want it to blow up either, I'm just saying my two cents. (note: it's completely unrelated to NPO.)

Now I've suddenly got some reservations about some new mods. New NS Mods need to be held to a higher professional standard. Let someone else be the face of fake news or rescind it. Kinda peeved that it's still up.

Being an on-site mod gives you more Credibility, more weight, and I can make the argument that it's Unfair and a lot of unethical, inappropriate and questionable methods were used (not by Roavin but by those who fed the fake info to him, that he reposted without thinking and without even necessarily agreeing with the ruling) and that's why he can't on good conscious uphold that smear post.

You know, I actually made a Thread about those publications in the past, but Reploid wrote that since the publication is on an off-site forum, they can't take action because there's two layers (clicks) of separation.

Well, I ended up ACCEPTING that decision, but now, the OP of one of these offending posts has now became a Mod. Wow, what an ironic twist of events. Ummm, Mods can hold each other accountable then. Get this new mod into the neutrality zone.

So should I start a new thread split or just leave a small comment here?

Mods need to have a policy change where you can't be announcing this sh*t about individuals in whole off-site forums, you can ban, but having a single thread on non-famous individuals (not me specifically) is prone defamation suits, even if no one's suing, it looks bad professionally. Like wow, middle aged guys owning a teen. Cool, big deal. Yes this can happen but should an off-site mod be doing that? Um no, at least not that flamboyantly.

Also, I could make this its own thread on the topic but I'm not sure whether that's necessary and I don't want to drag it out. Just need to say my two cents. Fix yo shit mods.

This isn't NPO related. He still has an inappropriate thread in TSP still up. And I am not okay with a NS mod offsite creating scandalous announcement threads (also known as, being the attack dog) for regular NS biased player's fake news off-site based on fake rumors.

Don't really care for much else though, besides the TSP call out. You can split this if you'd like but I request not to lock it (locked and forgotten without an answer, while the other anti NPO guy got an answer.) I'm probably not gonna be responding anymore, but it want this brought up to the mods and discussed on whether it even is appropriate community standards, to be GCR offsite forum admins POSTING public offsite threads against active players while still moderating them onsite on NS. (How can I trust that the judgments made by him to be FAIR, or why would I want him making rulings anywhere near me?) Hmmmm, I don't like this double-dipping.

So yeah, I'm not doubting the mods' capacity to make fair judgments. I just have a PR fix suggestion that's still directly connected to NS.

You can choose to ignore it, of course, though it's still feeling like double dipping ethical standards. But yeah, ignoring it can be a thing too. Won't feel *right* but, food for thought.

Until Archinstinct comes back to push his conspiracy theory again. The congratulations have been said, the decisions have been made, and the nonsense has been deftly carved out of the thread. Seems like this thread needs its door slammed shut. At least until this whole thing dies down.
