Regional Banners - feedback and bug reports

Is it me, or does the regional homepage look different? I see a grey header, the region name being white instead of black, and the regional flag being much bigger (although that depends on the region).

Has this just happened? It was different last night, and I've only just noticed it in the past few minutes. No forum thread or new post or anything. But it seems cool.

Looks like we can actually put images over the grey banner. Seems pretty nice.

It appears it allows you to choose a new regional banner, though judging by the current blank space instead, it hasn't fully rolled out yet.
Regardless, this is pretty exciting!

I didn't notice that it was a space for a regional banner - I thought that it was just a grey space at the top of the page (I hadn't checked regional admin even though I'm an RO in 3 regions and a founder of a puppet storage region as well). Thanks for pointing that out people.

The banner idea seems like a really good idea that I hadn't thought of before - it adds a bit more personality to the regional homepage. Surprised that we haven't seen any official announcement from the mods about it, but we might do when the uploading feature gets fully rolled out.

Yep, custom banners work. There's also a microphone logo when you click on the board of a region. Interesting.

When you go to the RMB, the flag shrinks to almost nothing. I've tried it with regions with names as long as The North Pacific to the region of Gay. It happens only in the RMB and in every region.

i'm trying to upload a custom banner, which is the correct ratio (i've checked. 1200:400.), and i've got it saved as a png. every time i try to upload it, it says:

You haven't selected a file to upload.

what should i do?

I am reporting the same issue. At first, I thought it was just because my images are huge - I tried to upload one that is 6000 x 2000, but I shrunk it down to 1000 x 333, because I thought it was a problem.

I have tried Firefox 88.0.1 (64-bit), along with Google Chrome 90.0.4430.212 (64-bit), both on Windows 10. Regional banners are no problem, as of note, even with the huge sizes they would be shrunk back down.

What's the difference between using a regional flag and a regional logo? I'm asking here because I have noticed that logos don't cast that "shadow" on the banner and are aligned with the top of the banner, but is there anything else?

The name of the delegate and founder seems to overlap on top of flags.

Just as a quick clarification: This will not apply to National Banners, right? I have unlocked a few custom slots, but for instance, I am only using Slot #1 and Slot #2's, while Slot #3 has a custom image but I turned it off from displaying.

Looks like a nice change for looks. One request though, could the regions with no banners be reverted to the old look, instead of having a huge grey background on their name? (I thought this was the case already, but switching to Rift theme showed that it isn't -- it is however the case in Antiquity which I use)

I would also love to see this change. The banner addition is not for everyone, and it should be something regions can turn off if they want, instead of being punished with a large grey banner, making them look like they don't care.
