Due to the fact we’re located on the Eurasian Step. We don’t celebrate any form of thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is not a thing in Lillorainen. The closest equivalent may be the Harvest Festival (Haustblót), celebrated on the day of Autumn Equinox (which will be on September 22 in 2021).

Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

As an Anglo-American Christian tradition, Thanksgiving has no equivalent in Yerbanistanian culture, and is considered an alien concept by most people there.

We do have a "Thanksgiving", but it is not similar to the one you'd find in North America. Our "Thanksgiving" is set at the first Friday of October, and roughly coincides with the Sinitic Mid-Autumn Festival, which is held on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month. As such, this "Thanksgiving" has the same celebrations as the mid-autumn festival.

While Thanksgiving isn't a recognized holiday in Johto, it is recognized as a 'cultural tradition' under Section 7 (On Demographics and Culture), Clause 16 of the Johtian Constitution. Thanksgiving is a Unovan holiday, and while not native to Johto it is celebrated widely throughout, especially in the northern parts of the region which border the United Unovan States.

On the night of the 21st of December, Bunkaiians celebrate Yalda with a night long celebration of feasting, singing, reciting poems or stories, participating in talent shows, joking and playing games. Showing gratitude is also expected within the community.

Bunkaiians are primarily of Persian extraction so there is a lot in common between Bunkaiia and the rest of the Persian-oriented world. Historically, the 21st of December (Winter Solstice) was the longest night of the year, however, because Bunkaiia is closer to Equator - less time difference is observed.

Korea has a harvest celebration broadly similar to Thanksgiving and to other autumn festivals of Asia, called Chuseok. It is celebrated in early October or late September since it is a lunar holiday, though in Q&K it's been standardized to happen on the autumn equinox itself. Traditions for Chuseok include eating with family, visiting your hometown, paying respects to ancestors, and playing tug-of-war.
My nation - which is pretty much just a unified Korea with some extra territory - represents my real views. NS stats only broadly correct, trust the factbooks over them. Feel free to call me Q&K, Quartia, or any other nickname.

Corrington celebrates an annual Harvest Festival, held on the eve of the harvest moon. The center of the Corrish Harvest Festival traditionally involves feasting upon crops that have finally come to maturity around the time of the festival. Traditionally this was a day of break from menial work, and under Prime Minister Fletcher, it was recently made a National holiday during which leave from work is provided, to the surprise of much of the country. Dances, romantic dates and games, family intimacy and overall merriment are also quite prevalent. In recent years, the Harvest Festival has become increasingly commercialized, and as a result there are many television programs, games, eating contests, concerts and advertisements centered around the theme of the holiday. Despite its modernization, the Harvest Festival still remains dear to the hearts of Corrington’s traditional agricultural working class.

Amerada celebrates Thanksgiving in the first Monday in November. To Ameradans, Thanksgiving is the holiday where people reflect over the year, and give thanks for what they did over the year. Monday is used as a work day off. The holiday is celebrated nearly the same way as how it is celebrated in America, In most school cirriculum, Thanksgiving is right before or right after Fall Break.

Totally unheard of in Tangatarehua and those who have heard of it tend to view it as a rather ghastly celebration of genocide.

Caleon has a similar sort of “Thanksgiving” although not directly called that by the locals. It is called “Migration Day” or “Migrationstag” by the locals. It is always held on August 30th as apart of Caleon’s “Golden Week” celebrations that are held from August 27th to September 3rd. Migrationstag is used to celebrate the anniversary of the first Caleonian migrants from modern-day Laos arriving in Hamburg on August 30th, 1837. The festivities are a hybrid of American Thanksgiving and the Laotian Rocket Festival.

As it is seen as a Western holiday, and conflicting with the tradition and culture of the people, Thanksgiving is banned. Most people don’t even celebrate it. Thanksgiving has been banned in 1956 by the Crossoverian monarch because it was alien to the morals and beliefs of Crossoverian tradition. The ban is still in effect today, even when the revolution overthrew the monarchy.

Thanksgiving was adopted from fleeing American migrants during the American Civil war, along with those fleeing the draft in the time spanning from WWI straight to the gulf wars. Due to this, it's become a national holiday, with all the perks of such. In terms of celebration, however, rather than a turkey, a pig is instead cooked on a spit over an open flame before the family/people attending the celebration for dinner, with ranges open for competition shooting. On carriers, a "box" meal is had instead, which is beef lasagna using bread in place of pasta, along with spiced meats added to the filler or even curry, being baked in an oven. Competition shooting however is held on the deck, of course.

Adding to the festival, a military parade may be had, showing how Gonswanza is proud of its military heritage and strength. Air shows are also held every year, along with a separate parade for the miners known as the "march of lanterns" in which miners and their gear move through the streets by night, with the only lights being their lanterns and the lights of their equipment. Such a tradition was forged as Gonswanza was being colonized, due to the value of Gonswanza's rich deposits of resources. It was said that the first march was done to try to grab volunteers willing to work in a cave, which many said would not offer much in terms of valuable ore. When the hundreds of workers descended upon the soon-to-be mine, they later discovered a vast cache of silver and iron, allowing them to begin work almost immediately.

Thanksgiving is on the second Monday of October and it is an official holiday. Some people celebrate it, some don't. It usually involves giving thanks and being grateful for what you have, spending time with family, and having a dinner. The dinner can be turkey, chicken, or something vegetarian, it differs by family. Pumpkin-based dessert is common.

The Achaean Republic celebrates Thanksgiving on the fourth Sunday of November. Since 1947, the American tradition has been imported to the country and celebrated with a unique Achaean twist. It is considered the "official" start of the Achaean holiday season, which can be quite intense for many. Foods like turkey, pernil, pasteles, arroz con gandules and sweets like flan, pumpkin pie, including drinks like coquito are prepared to be enjoyed by many families.

Some churches hold morning worship services and breakfast for the faithful. Others host their own Thanksgiving dinners for the homeless or those who have nowhere to go. All in all, a community spirit reminiscent of the holidays comes alive in Thanksgiving.

However, many also oppose the celebration of Thanksgiving on the fact that it is an imposition due to the U.S. invasion of Achaea in the five-year-long "Coup of the Eagles."

December 15
Christmas Season Start Dinner
(National Holiday, without work)
It is something similar to Thanksgiving, but this celebration has nothing to do with something religious or racist, any kind of northern meaning.
This day was born when in the year 1945 during the war, they planned to make a meal to commemorate that they had all their relatives together, those who did not have tributes were made in their honor. With the passage of time, this meaning changed during the last decades, adopting the dinner to celebrate the union and brotherhood in the families of the nation. It is celebrated with large banquets in homes or, where appropriate, in a restaurant to celebrate it.
