Noting the article of the constitution regarding the role of religion in the country

''The Socialist republic shall be based on the principle of secularism and promote atheism within the boundaries of personal freedom.''

Acknowledging the provisions of the Penal Code and Central Commitee Directives related to the constitutional premise.

Proselytizing outside of the designated places of worship is punishable with up to 2 months in jail and up to 6 months in jail if the offense is repeated and a fine of 100 to 250 % of the personal monthly income.

The request to build a place of worship must be presented to the relevant state-sanctioned religious organization which shall evaluate if the existing buildings aren't enough to host the practicing population within an area.

The content of a speech the clergy desires to hold shall be presented beforehand, at least one day before, at a Civilian State Security barrack or at the relevant state-sanctioned religious organization

[...]Church bells, the call of muezzin, minarets taller than 20 metres are illegal for the exception of culturally or artistically relevant[...]

All of these laws or directives have been broken by at least more than one of the places of worship who have been the target of a PLAK-PMF led mission to close down these illegal places of worship and arrest their organizers.

The mission took place from october 15th to october 18th and resulted in the closure of 42 places of worship nationwide and the arrest of 104 organizers.

Statement upon the Crackdowns on Places of Worship in Kergstan

It was brought to the Ministry's attention that Kergstani authorities have violently cracked down on places of worship, including but not limited to churches, mosques and temples, around the nation in a regrettable and lamentable incident. The freedom of religion is, and always will be, a basic human right. To deprive people from it is no different than to remove the very thing that makes us human, the ability to make believe and carry on. Some choose to vest this power in a divine authority, others place it on science, but no matter what one may choose, as long as it does not harm other people, it is not an affair of the state.

However, we see today that the Kergstani authorities have not respected this right. Not only have they mandated state atheism, which, per se, is not of concern, they more importantly have persecuted people who adhere to religions. This is a violation of the freedom of religion, which must be stopped as soon as possible. The Federal Republic of Nacrad shall maintain a close watch on the situation, and urge Kergstan to halt such persecution.

Many of the practitioners in these illegal organizations were found to suffer psychological and physical harm due to the religious requirements imposed upon them, we find improper for anyone in society to have this power and indoctrinate people with their baseless discourses.

But some of these organizations seemed to not harm their practicioners so why should they close down?

We have laws and when somebody doesn't respect them sometimes they have to go to prison to be rehabilitated and be a positive energy towards society, i believe it's the same in other countries too, laws are not made to waste ink.

If we were to be ruled by a religious doctrine though, trust me half of you in the studio would be in jail or even dead, we don't want these ideas to take over the country.

So what will be done with the clergy or organizers, the practicioners and the assets and finally how will Nacrad-Kergstan relations develop after this statement?

Of the 104 organizers, 38 received a suspended sentence which will probably go in prescription, 29 are in a house arrest for up to 3 months, 35 will be in prison for up to 3 months, one received a 7 year and 3 months sentence and an other received 8 years and 1 month but to them there were accuses of physical abuse, scam and so on, it has to be seen if they will request a judicial re-hearing.

The practicioners have been given the suggestion of joining one of the state-sanctioned religious organizations but nothing else.

Some assets will be reverted to social uses, some will be destroyed and some will just remain closed.

When it comes to Nacrad-Kergstan relations we request them to stay out of our internal affairs and drop their Anti-Kergstan and Anti-Communist agendas, we wish to maintain a cordial political relationship and preserve the trade relations that benefit both countries, I remind in a few days the shipbuilding and ship disposal industrial park built on the former Samora Machel Platform according to our strong environmental protection regulations

I personally am against military action being taken in a post that wasn't meant for that so i will avoid to answer

It is an undeniable fact that all nations have legislation regarding the legal registration of organizations of any type so do many countries maintain legislation regarding aesthetic decorum, we therefore consider the actions of Sharifistan exaggerated and a mingling in our internal affairs, we request to desist from all the actions taken otherwise they will be met with proportionate actions.

We would encourage Kergstan to come to a more moderate & chaos-aligned position. We implore them to abolish religious regulations & strengthen individual liberty, so that tyranny of all types, religious and otherwise, may be brought to a swift end.
