Harold was getting bored. There was little-to-nothing that was coming out of the state legislature, so it seemed, and he had already played a few rounds of golf. He sat back in his chair and came up with an idea on trolling Frederick Williams so hard, but it might even help the Mississippi Governor's approval numbers go up. He chuckled as he wrote the following letter, addressed from a false name and with a return address to a bogus property address in Tennessee. He put the letter into an envelope and personally dropped it off at the Post Office to be mailed to Gov. Williams. It reads as follows:

Dear Mr. Williams,

I understand that you have an issue regarding the increasing population of black people in your state. How ghastly terrible! I may have found a solution to your problem, Governor: Dihydrogen Monoxide. This chemical is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and everyone who drinks it will eventually die. All you have to do is to buy some "water" out of your personal funds from your local Dasani plant, and to distribute them to as many black people as you can. I will personally make sure that Dihydrogen Monoxide is, in fact, sprinkled into the water. Dihydrogen Monoxide is utilized as an industrial-grade solvent and coolant, is used in nuclear power plants, is an effective fire retardant, and is even used in the production of potent pesticides.

What say you, my friend?

The boys were outback playing basketball with some friends, they'd been let off from school for the day, and Gabrielle was off at work. She'd found a job as an Assistant Principal at one of the local schools; and everyday she went off to work, the boys went off to school, and I was left alone. It was these lonely hours that the the dreaded thoughts of the past year crept up and stole my attention. It was these lonely hours that I sat thinking of everything that could've been, everything that would've been if I'd only been smarter, stronger, if I'd only fought harder. Everyday as I sat in my office and watched the reports of the various campaigns across the country that I was reminded of my failures. My failure to lead, failure to govern, and probably the most disheartening of all my failure to win.

As I sat there watching the election coverage my mind constantly went back to every mistake I'd made along the way. Every wrong word, every misstep, every negative comment, every voluntary reaction. I watched as the reporters projected the imminent crushing defeat of my party of old, and the much less daunting defeat of my new party; the rising phoenix from the ashes of the left. The party of which had given a second chance, a chance at redemption, a chance to once again be who I was meant to be. The party I'd let down in more ways than one. I had tried sedulously to comprehend why I had endured such a fate, yet my answers were never enough to satisfy my inquiry nor enough to soothe the damage of my spirit.

"Dad."

I turned around to see my son, Xavier, standing in the doorway.

"Are you alright," he asked.

"Of course son, why would you ask that?"

"You're crying."

I hadn't realized the tears had escaped my eyes and began rolling down my face.

"Yeah I'm fine, just thinking about some things."

He looked over at the tv screen, then turned back to me, "I still believe you can do it."

"Do what?'

"Win. Be president."

I chuckled, "I'm glad you believe that, I just wish the rest of country would."

"Well make them."

"What?"

"Make them believe. Yeah of course you lost this time, and you've had your issues but that doesn't mean you have to give up. You always tell me to never give up on something that I believe in, and now I'm telling you the same thing. You believe in this country and you believe in making it a better place, and you know that there's no better person to do that but you so don't stop fighting. You might've got knocked down but you didn't get knocked out, which means this fight isn't over."

I was at a complete loss for words, I'd spent months feeling sorry for myself and living in self-pity, and now I was being motivated by my 16 year old son. I was finally coming to the realization that this was bigger than just me. This campaign wasn't about me winning, it was about the people winning; and I knew that I had to do whatever it took to make sure that in the end the people won.

Seattle, Washington

It was her last rally, she had to make an impact, and she knew that she would. It would be a huge rally, a grand finale for the campaign. It was in the Seattle University Football Stadium and 8,300 people were in attendance. When she walked on stage, she waved to the crowd and they cheered back. Then, she took a deep breath, and began.

Tomorrow is the big day, folks. Tomorrow is when our people and the nation exercise their right to vote and decide who will run our nation and our state for the next 2 years, 4 years, and 6 years. So who will you put your trust and faith into, this election? In the Washington Senatorial race we have 3 options this cycle rather than 2, so now you all have more room for choosing a candidate closer to your views. And views are important, it provides a bond between people with the same ideological opinions. So when a person with heir same vies runs, typically, they would be the best candidate in their ow opinion. Folks, I am here to lay down my agenda for becoming your next Senator. Our incumbent, Senator Trevor C. Mills, he doesnt have a very clear agenda, and neither does Mayor Brankers. They either heavily rely on a single issue, or are just vague across the board. And in all honesty, I too feel like I have been vague. Vagueness during campaigns lowers the bar of expectations and following on what you've run off of. The people vote for you and expect you to stay true to your promises, and so right now, I shall get rid of all vagueness and uncertainties and tell you what I shall fight for as your Senator.

*the crowd cheered*

So let's start with something simple, shall we? Social issues.America was founded on the basis that every person has the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The Declaration of Independence states this and the Constitution enforces it. The value of every life, is equal, and they all deserve of rights. But many people in our society or oppressed in today's day and age: The LGBT Community, Minorities, Immigrants, and so many others are treated by garbage by so many deplorable people, and the government is not doing anything to stop it! Well I will. I will stand up for the LGBT community and fight for their every deserved right. They have the right to marry, they have the right to have and adopt children, and they also have the right to buy from stores. Stores must never discriminate against a group of people because they are different. Mayor Brankers says that "forcing" store owners to provide services and goods to consumers of a different view to be a violation of religious liberty!

*the crowd booed*

But what he doesnt seem to get is that the Germans, on a widespread basis, discriminated against the Jews in this fashion in the 30's and into the 40's! What is the difference here, huh?! There is none! In Amerca, every person no matter race, creed, or religion has equal rights. America does not give rights exclusively to white cis males, Mayor Brankers, but to everyone!

*the crowd cheered*

We are also facing a new rise of racism and hate speech in this nation that should never be tolerated. I have heard that because of this, suicides and suicide attempts amongst minorities have increased, and others are just worse off than before. This should never be so. The government should step in and protect literally the lives of these fellow Americans who are here to enjoy and have a prosperous life!

*the crowd cheered*

Now for the economy. We live in a capitalist system in which the big dogs run everything. From all our services, to our politicians, they control everything. They have the power to raise prices for their benefit and milk us of our limited earnings. Our current economic climate is unfair to those at the bottom while those at the top live like gods. That is why I am in favor of numerous plans to aid and help the poor as funded by the 1%. With that being said, I plan on ensuring that every single rotten loophole in the tax code is taken out of. We have around $2 Trillion dollars overseas that is not being taxed! The rich are not even paying their fair share!

*the crowd booed*

That is why I shall go into Congress and immediately get these cronies to pay! With all the new revenue coming from deleting these loopholes, we can divert them to expanding upon more programs for the poor. Programs that train them to work in good jobs and make the working class working again!

*the crowd went wild*

Indeed. We must also protect American workers from being thrown out by big corporations who would rather hire overseas rather than at home. Implementing a large penalty tax on companies who fire in America but hire overseas. Our people cannot be left in the dust due to free trade. No, we must have fair trade! And fair trade may include a belt on the corporate giants on Wall Street.

*the crowd cheered*

We must also not succumb to big banks and companies that are "too big to fail". In times of recessions and economic apocalypse, the government must always step in to ensure that the people do not get hold the heavy burden. This means that sometimes, we may need to nationalize the banks. And while this may sound radical to many of you, but what happens when an un-insured bank fails and yo lose all your life savings and loans? Huh? They're gone at that point. Some things are too big to fail, but that doesnt mean we go on our knees to make sure that they dont!

*the crowd cheered*

Now onto healthcare. Our incumbent, Senator Trevor C. Mills, and even Mayor Brankers supports "universal healthcare". But what does that even mean? There are so many forms of UHC that it could mean anything! In fact, right now our government has a UHC system with the insurance mandate! WinstonCare is one of the policies every implemented by our government in modern history but is the single largest victory for big pharma as the government literally forces people to buy into their services. I bet President Winston the men and women who supported this bill on Capitol Hill got a pretty hefty donation that year........

*the crowd booed*

I too support universal healthcare! But not in the way that these other two may imply. I support a Two-Tier Healthcare System that provides the people with options, 3 to be exact: 1. Completely free healthcare provided by the government which covers the most basic and required healthcare. The 2nd being paying a small sum to the government which also provides healthcare, but with more benefits and things covered. And lastly, the 3rd option, is just citizens opting out of the government an paying for their healthcare via the private sector. My plan gives real options to the people, allows for everyone to receive quality healthcare, and gets rid of the mandate that big corporations oh so love.

*the crowd went wild*

Immigrations, something that was not spoken about much during this campaign but is vitally important. We are a nation of immigrants and must ensure that no good person is blocked entry. I support the DREAM Act but dont think it goes far enough. For most immigrants it takes years to enter the nation and become citizens. We must speed up this process to allow good people in search of a better life to come in and live the American Dream!

*the crowd cheered*

Now the environment which I have taken a huge initiative to. Our world, no just our nation, is on the verge of a climate catastrophe as all the scientists say. Carbon emissions and reckless environmental procedures by big corporations and even governments are killing the world we live in. America should be at the forefront of protecting our environment and making the world green. A Carbon Tax, rather than a cap and trade which simply does not work, would prove most effective in curbing carbon emissions and significantly slowing down the rate of global meltdown.

*the crowd cheered*

We must also enforce all environmental regulations and even create more that are essentially needed, without killing many of our worker's jobs. I have done these two things for Washington and it has proven very successful, has it not?

*the crowd cheered*

And lastly, government ethics reform. Washington DC is in the hole right now under a lot of corruption in different forms. Secret donations, foreign lobbyists, career politicians, corporate buying; you name it! One of the reasons why there is no accountability in Washington and why our national legislature is a laughingstock across the world is because of her corruption. We need new guidelines in place that stop this meddling in our nation's capital and bring accountability back so that the American people are truly represented.

*the crowd went wild*

I would like to conclude this last and final rally on a few notes. Now more than ever, are we in need of reform. Because of the incompetence of the Democratic Administration, we are now deep in a new and dangerous recession. Voting for the Democrats this election cycle is voting for the continuance of going down this path. But voting for the Republican Party, too, is also a vote for the status quo. The American people have the eternal right to vote who runs our nation, and it's time to vote the bad ones our and come in with the new. Mayor Walton of this fine city is the best option in the Presidential race, and I wish her luck. We've been good friends for 6 years now and her experience as Mayor has been one of hope. She will be the one to bring back the American Dream and I hope that she becomes not only our 45th President, but the first woman to become President ever too!

*the crowd cheered*

So go on out and give her support to her! As for me, I believe that I too have had an excellent track record as Representative of Bellevue, your neighbor, and have brought great prosperity to this state. I want to do likewise for this country, but I need your help. Go out and vote, tell your friends to vote! Your votes are never put to waste or worthless. Without you, many of the good things in this country never would've happened. Exercise democracy! Your nation counts on it.

*the crowd clapped this time*

Trevor C. Mills is not the way to go, nor is Mayor Brankers. Senator Mills has been a do-nothing and only promised you those things in an attempt to capture votes. He is not a real liberal, he only wears the mask of one. But you all have seen what I have done as Representative and Speaker of the House. What I've promised to do, I've done or tried to do wholeheartedly. Do you want to vote for laziness, or vote for results?

*the crowd was mixed with laughter and cheering*

That's what I thought. This is the end of the election and I would like to thank my family, everyone who helped me with my campaign, supported me, and those who go out and vote. The nation is counting on you, folks. Will you make the right decision?

*the crowd bursted with "YES!". she began to almost tear up*

Thank you, thank you so much. This has honestly meant a lot to me and no matter what happens tonight, I'll still be on the frontline with you guys. I hope I can come back to you with good news and tidings. I thank you ll for being here and let's get America back on track!

*the crowd went wild as she ended her speech. after the speech, she spoke to the crowd for an hour this time, answering her questions. she would be silent until the results came and she hoped for the best*

Last Night
Shreveport, Louisiana

The cheering in the stadium was everywhere, filling every single ear in a mile radius.

Okay, maybe not that far, but the excitement from Larson's five thousand supporters attending was very real, and very concerning to moderates.

Larson went up on stage for the last time until the jungle primary that would take place tomorrow. The anticipation at last would be satisfied, after so much waiting and preparation.

"Well, it seems that Shreveport is more than ready for change! Believe me, after all of the backroom deals, the corruption, the lobbying, the imcompetence, and everything else Winston's little lap dog Congress has been responsible for, we the people are fed up, and tomorrow, we are going to channel that energy to not just elect me to Congress, but to tell the establishment Liberals that we are done with their crap!" The crowd was absolutely ecstatic.

"Since Winston's election, we have seen more than thirty major companies - maybe even more, I can't quite remember all of them - leave this country entitely because the Democrats have absolutely ruined business in this country. We are going to bring those jobs back to Louisiana, folks. As Senator I will fight to lower taxes, which would stimulate our economy at last after the Winston disaster wrecked it all! Not only that, but I will fight to get the useless regulations that only harm our businesses, and do little to nothing at all to actually help the people! And finally, I will introduce a bill to Congress that would greatly expand our infrastructure, so we can rebuild our old and crumbling roads, and our bridges, and make our economy great again!" The crowd cheered.

"We are going to rebuild our collapsing economy, and we are also going to make our land safe again! I will introduce a resolution that would instate a ban on travel to and from nations that harbor terrorists, or have a dangerously large terrorist presence. The people in Washington want to take in more Syrian refugees, even after ISIS said that they would exploit this broken system of taking people in unvetted to infiltrate this country, and hurt our people! We are not going to let that happen, folks! We are also going to finally take out ISIS, and about time, too. Seriously, we've been at it for years, and those bastars terrorists only seem to be gaining ground at this point! All because of Winston, folks!" The crowd booed at the mention of Winston.

"On the similar issue of Immigration, we are going to get every single illegal immigrant in this country deported for their crimes! America belongs to Americans, and Louisiana belongs to Louisianans, not some mustachioed drug dealers wearing sombreros complaining about not being able to leech enough off of Winston's welfare! We will protect ourselves by stopping the flow of drugs and illegal immigrants by securing our border and building a great big wall on the border with Mexico!" The crowd cheered.

"One last issue, on Healthcare, we are being absolutely crushed by Winstoncare! You look and see premiums skyrocketing, people who are too poor to afford healthcare being fined for being poor, and it has done next to nothing to actually help us all get the quality care we need. That will change! We are going to repeal and replace Winstoncare with a system that erases the artificial lines that prevent insurers from competing across state lines, increasing competition, and reducing costs! Along with that, we are going to stop the pointless regulation of drug prices, specifically the ones that destroy any desire to innovate and create new drugs. Maybe if we just allowed our insurance and drug companies to compete, we could actually have low prices, eh? That doesn't sound like too much to ask, now, does it? All of this, along side ending the individual mandate that hurts people in poverty, are part of the Larson plan for new and improved healthcare!" The crowd went wild!

"Tomorrow, your voice can be heard, but only if you vote to elect Jason Larson your next Senator. None of my opponents will represent you, none of the Presidential candidates will represent you. I am the only candidate who actually knows that people are suffering, and that it's better to do something about it than to lay in bed with the lobbyists and make a living off being a career politician! Tomorrow is a big day, folks. Tomorrow is a day where we will shock the mainstream media, shock the political establishment, and move on to the second round in December, where we will shock them more by winning this race! WE ARE GOING TO MAKE LOUISIANA GREAT AGAIN, AND WE START TOMORROW! THANK YOU!" That was it, his final speech before the jungle primary was finished, and his supporters were raving in the end. The candidate shook hands and met with his supporters, for what could be the final time. In the end, the outcome was uncertain, but an upset was most definitely a possibility.

"We don't even know if he's won yet."

"We all knew he won, a long time before today, this is simply a confirmation vote."

"Still it's pretty risky for us to do it then, do you know how much security there's going to be."

"We have a legal right Lily, there's nothing at all the police can do."

"I don't know Kailen..."

"Listen if we want to make him hear us and stop this ludicrous plan of his then we have to make a show. Meetings an discussions aren't going to work, we need action and this is simply a way to show him that we mean business."

"And if he continues on as planned and ignores us, then what?"

"Then we do more, we get more supporters, me plan larger rallies, we make sure that he can't ignore us. And if push comes to shove then there's always Plan B."

The woman on the other line chuckled, "You know that's not really a plan, it's just something that came up in discussion there would be serious repercussions for something like that."

"I'm well aware but I thought we were both in this for the same reasons, but obviously not if your scared of a few consequences. Look this is hapening, I'd prefer to have your support, but with or without we're moving forward."

There was a pause on the other line, "Alright, I'll do what I can to help but I can't make any promise."

"That's fine with me, get back to me as soon as possible Lily."

"I will."

With that Murray hung up the phone and smiled. "She's in," he said turning to his former chief of staff and now assistant, Zackary Reeves.

"Now to call Randi, then we move on to the state leaders," Zackary said.

George Washington Hospital, Washington D.C.

Donald lied on Twitter, he'd already voted. He had more urgent matters to attend to one being Senator Carrollton. He had heard she was in the hospital for a Kidney infection. So he decided to go visit her and give her professional aid. He was sure that the doctors in the hospital were bad and he had to make them better. He also had to buy some milk because he was all out.

He hopped into his car and turned on the radio and he do the smile. It was Queen, his other favorite band. He started to jam in his car, doing hip and cool dance moves. He was amazing at it. He was nearing the hospital and he was sad but happy he was going to see his friend Gianna.

He parked his car and walked into hospital reception. He do the smile at the woman behind the desk and wave and say,

"Hello it is me Donald Johnson, I am here to see Gianna Carrollton!"

"Senator Breckenridge, who did you cast your vote for?" clamored a local reporter as he briskly attempted to exit the voting area.

"I voted for the Candidate who I think will best represent the people of the United States of America, that person obviously being Calvin Reed. Blunt enough for you?" He replied curtly, trying to get to his porche in time to make it back to the airport. He would be spending the evening with John Carrolton in the Hospital awaiting more news on Gianna. The reporter seemed to accept this answer, and moved onto the next voter.

Augusta, Maine

Governor Claudia Patton stepped into the voting booth in front of her and silently stared at the top of the ballot.

(Republican) Calvin Reed/Buck Havich
(Democrat) Robert Danders/Gianna Carrolton
(Progressive) Ellen Walton/Bill Denver

She stared for a good 10 seconds before picking up the pen and hovering above the choices. She thought back to her days working on the (Gore) and (Clinton) Campaigns and wondered how her ex-bosses had voted today. There was no doubt in her mind that Calvin Reed, despite their differences, was a good man at heart, more than she could say for Robert Danders, a man who had effectively torn apart the party that she loved so dearly. "Walton," she thought, "Is no fan of gun rights. She's a fan of Government Oriented Universal Healthcare. She's a fan of things that have unfortunately proven to be failures." she decided.

She audibly sighed.

For the first time in her life, she bubbled in the spot next to the little R, and continued down the ballot.

"If this bites us in the ass, I'll never complain." She vowed, filling out the rest of the ballot on a case by case basis.

As she left the booth, she was accosted by reporters. The obvious question.

"Governor, who did you vote for?"

She smiled.

"I voted for the people of Maine."

She was confused.

"Senator Johnson? It's a pleasure to speak with you. Councilman McCarver is currently unavaliable, as he's casting his ballot as we speak. I'm afraid I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say, "Libelous Ad" I don't believe we aired any additional spots today other than the usual ones?" She said with honesty.

He tapped his foot in anger.

"It's my pleasure as well. The ad I mention, well, look it up on your own YouTube site. Aired this election. You're clearly kept out of the loop."

"One moment." She said, looking up the ad. She watched it in it's entirety. She returned to the phone appalled.

"Mr. Johnson, I don't know who approved this ad, but it was most definitely not my husband. I'll have to investigate this immediately and inform the councilman." She said sincerely.
